I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

This is the poem from the movie of the same name Invictus with Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1057500/

In my humble opinion, it is a must see movie.

Invictus - William Ernest Henley

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

This event is FREE and the public is invited to attend.

When: Wednesday, January 13, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Where: 7916 Main Street North, Maple Grove, MN 55369, 763-494-3948

Who: Photographer: Wayne Moran

If you are not familiar with Wayne Moran’s photography see his work in the recently published Town Planner Calendar distributed to all Maple Grove residents.

Award-winning photographer Wayne Moran’s first publication Eye of the Beholder (120 pages, $32.99 - $49.95), a collection of inspiring photographs from his newly updated portfolio of landscapes, cityscapes, architecture, nature and people.

As a Minnesota based photographer and artist, Wayne focuses his skills and energies on landscapes, cityscapes, architectural, nature and portrait photography.

His best work comes from images first painted in his mind. He mulls over a prospective image for weeks or months, seeing it from different angles and perspectives, then finally deciding what to capture, he takes action. The result is images that deeply touch a person's emotions and powerfully evoke memories and dreams.

Companies and organizations ranging from financial services firms, mom and pop ice cream shops and The Basilica of St Mary use his images commercially. The images are used to communicate their shared vision and values. Book, magazine and calendar publishers have featured his images in their publications and on their covers. His photographs also grace and enhance the décor of many fine homes.

Additional Information:

When we calculate the Dow in Gold terms, there is no rally, just a slow decline. For example: In 2000, Gold hit a low of roughly $260 per ounce. The Dow in January 2000 stood about the same as it does today. So, if we take this as a measure: 10,900 (Dow January 2000) / $260 per ounce = 41.9 ounces was needed to buy the index. Today at 10,900 DJII and $1,050 Gold, it takes only slightly more than 9.3 oz to buy the DJII.

On the Wayne Moran Photography site on facebook we have been discussing how to get money from people that have stolen your images Wayne Moran Photography .

Like I had promised you here is the killer letter that gets results. This is the letter that you send to companies that have stolen your image or images. They have much more to lose than regular private individuals and you could make them VERY uncomfortable online about their public theft.

This letter has been almost 70% effect with companies that I send it to. That means they decide to pay immediately after recieving the letter. Yes I was suprised myself with this effectiveness in the beginning but then I realize, they have some much to lose. With a couple of blog posts I could really tarnish their reputation that they have been working so hard to build. So they are very eager to get this event behind them. So with that knowledge, use this letter boldly. It is right, and it works...

Here is my most recent example of the Killer letter that gets results.

Date: 12/12/2009
From Wayne Moran Photography, Moran Enterprises Inc
3266 Rolling Hills Drive,
Eagan, MN 55121

To: send a copy to all people involved and to the company’s marketing department

Hello,
Your company in this location on this date, appears to be illegally using one (or more) of my images…
(Show some of the details and make sure you have copies of all the appropriate advertisement or usage material)

Your advertisement or web site…
(Show picture here)

is using my Stone Arch Bridge Picture that you can see here
http://www.flickr.com/photos/waynephotoguy/196744922/
You can tell it is my image because of the cloud formations.
All of my images are copyrighted and they are the way I make a significant part of my living so you and your team are stealing from me.
That particular image is one of my most popular images and typically licenses for use like this for up to $XXXX. In Minnesota a theft of over $500 is a felony.
I use the legal services of the most aggressive law firm in the country for prosecuting these theft cases, Greenberg & Reicher Llp in New York, NY 10017.
They would make this process very expensive and very uncomfortable for you.
You have an opportunity to correct this issue immediately by paying for the theft.
I would accept a licensing fee for that image for the non-exclusive onetime usage of $XXX.
Please make payment of $XXX by check by 12/05/2009 to:
Moran Enterprises
3266 Rolling Hills Dr
Eagan, MN 55121

If you refuse to pay I will be forced to contact “Greenberg & Reicher” about the matter and get things rolling and that would be very unfortunate, time consuming and expensive.

I will watch for your payment on this matter.

Regards,
