This is what happens every time a person finds out another person is color blind. Beware: Says the ‘F’ word toward the end rather loudly, but it’s worth it. Blind kitty acts as a normal cat

Meet Oskar. Oskar’s eyeballs never formed, so his eyelids are fused together and he is completely blind. But if you watch this video of him from the day after he was adopted, he plays like a normal seeing kitty would….and is just as adorable. :)

Using Bohemian Rhapsody as background music for videos is really overdone, but in this case, works awesome. If you pay attention to the lyrics while watching, you’ll notice how well synced up they are, too. I love how perfect the Mentos show is for the end of the song, too.

Each year, American colleges offer a number of courses apparently for no reason at all. Here are some of this year's offerings that students can take as part of their curriculum. The Joy of Garbage – Santa Clara University Students can receive 4 units of credit by tracing the pathway of garbage disposal, which according to the syllabus are dumped on minority communities or shipped abroad. I thought our counties went to the big landfill in the canyon, but I guess I was misled on all those field trips I took to the waste management plant. This class costs students almost $5000 to take. Harry Potter: Finding Your Patronus - Oregon State University Part of mandatory freshman orientation, this class is designed to teach leadership around a Harry Potter theme. Unless they teach a spell to learn calculus, this class seems just silly. Theatrical Fencing – University of Wisconsin Distinct from actual fencing, students in the class fence with a wooden weapon that they must provide....

First grader doing Youtube makeup tutorials - Adorable!

She’s so awesome. If you’ve ever watched a makeup tutorial on YouTube before, you’ll know that this little girl knows what she’s doing…..check out how she holds the makeup up to the camera certain ways and some of the phrases she uses are identical. Coming from a first grader, I love it. She’s obviously having fun but also really wanting to teach other people how to “achieve the same look.” Right now, she has several Halloween tutorials coming out and even shows how to make some of the costumes to go with the makeup. When you first hear about invasive species, the image that may come to your mind most quickly is that of aliens coming to take over the earth and driving out the human species. However, if you've ever taken a class on ecology either in real life or in an online school, you may know that this term is reserved for animals and plants that have been displaced and are doing so well in their new environment that they are destroying local species. In this modern world, species become misplaced all the time, and here are just a few of the ones that are doing some damage. In the plant world, bizarre invaders are often guilty of hurting or driving out other plants. For example, in many places in California, they're dealing with a parasitic vine called Japanese dodder. It makes kudzu, a vine known as “the Plant that Ate the South,” look tame....

Hey guys, it’s been a while since I’ve posted any guest posts, so here’s one from Steph Wood. I know it’s a bit word heavy, but there’s some really interesting stuff in there. :D Bombs over Libya, revolutions, earthquakes, British royalty under the world’s gaze and rioting in its cities... But funnily enough, this isn’t the news of the year so far – it’s the news of a hundred years ago. This is Epic Rap Battle of History #12 The language is *not* completely clean, so careful if there are ears around that are only PG, but nothing too too major. Besides, it’s worth it to hear someone dressed as Shakespeare rap “ye hoebag, you’re an old white Soulja Boy who has no swag….egads, it’s so sad” :P And come on, Cat in the Hat rockin’ it out with Thing 1 and Thing 2?? Okay, so it’s a little creepy actually, but still pretty good. Kudos to the rapper starting about 1:15 in…..I love Dr. Seuss, but go go Shakespeare!

Yes! I want! Oh how I want. :( Although, hmm, I guess I don’t exactly have sand to walk around in, do I? Well maybe one day, when I lounge on the beach all day long for a living. And then….then these sandals will be mine, and I’ll walk along the coast just for the sheer sake of leaving behind some awesome footprint. <3 You can see more pictures of them at Toxel and can actually be them from Kiko-Kids. The ashiato sandals come in 5 different colors and 5 animal prints (cat, Tyrannosaurus, monkey, gecko, or owl). Aren’t the Japanese awesome? Hehe.
