I was talking to my girlfriend and I was asking her what I should write about. There was a moment of silence and then she said, "why don't you write about love. Everybody loves to read about love". I had to agree.

The Beatles wrote a famous song titled "All You Need Is Love" in which they use the word love dozens of times. The hook is simply, "all you need is love, love. Love is all you need."

It may be simple but in reality, that's all that is ever really needed. When you love, you have the courage to do anything. When you love your career, you are happy to get to work. When you love your family, you would do anything fro them no matter what it is.

Love drives you towards your greatest potential. The most successful and happiest people are the ones who engage in what they love on a continual basis. I've been focusing a lot on Will Smith lately, but you can see from some of my others posts that he loves what he does. And it is that love that won't let him settle for anything less than the best.

Love is what helps you manifest the miracles that you want to come into your experience. If you have a deep desire for something let the fuel be the love and the passion for whatever it is.

It may seem like an oversimplified explanation of how to attract your desires, but in reality...Love is all you need.

Enjoy the following "LOVE" quotes. Keep them in your heart and be sure to share them with your friends and family. As always, thanks for listening, and Always Feel Good!

Blessings.

A loving heart is the beginning of all knowledge.
Thomas Carlyle

A very small degree of hope is sufficient to cause the birth of love.
Henri B. Stendhal

I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.
Mother Teresa

Take away love, and our earth is a tomb.
Robert Browning

In dreams and in love there are no impossibilities.
Janos Arnay

Love comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
Timothy 1:5

If you judge people, you have no time to love them.
Mother Teresa

Do all things with love.
Og Mandino

Discover 11 powerful daily processes to turn yourself into a manifestation magnet!

Here's the Beatles performing "All You Need Is Love" live.

What Makes A good Dad?(Happy Father's Day)

Hello Friends,

Hope all is well. Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there. I am so thankful for my Dad. He has taught me a lot over the years which has made me into the person I am today. Not a day goes by when I don't think of something that he has said in the past that I can drawn on for wisdom.

Words really can't do justice, but the following two poems pretty much sum the way I feel about my father. God has been good to me and that started with allowing me to be born into such a great family.

Enjoy the following poems. Share them with your Dad and friends. Celebrate your time together, and celebrate times past. Every moment is a moment to create new memories. Don't let them slip by. Many blessings, and Always Feel Good!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 213px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_p7FiwxFklTw/Sj5BEu4bPsI/AAAAAAAAAHo/8iS_Ve0cZX4/s320/sc0008e8a7.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349784956922707650" />

ME AND DAD AT MY GRADUATION FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI. Just wanted to share this video of an interview with Will Smith. Belief in ones convictions is what brings your dreams into the realm of reality. We have to believe that we can achieve anything that we put our minds to.

The thoughts that we hold are what drive the Universe into action. So if we hold negative thoughts we most certainly will get negative results. We truly have the power to create our existence and we all should be striving towards a happy ending.

The key to having a happy ending, as Smith puts it, is to refuse to give into anything that will stand in the way of our dreams. Our families thoughts can get in the way. Our friends thoughts can get in the way. The medias thoughts can get in the way.

But here is the good thing. Those are their thoughts. Not yours. You are the only one that can control your thoughts. Do not embrace the thoughts of others because they are not yours and they will not work for you. Each of has to decide what we allow into our minds. You can succumb to negativity or you can push right through any challenge that you may face. It is always only up to you.

Hear and listen to what Smith has to say in this video. Begin to understand that you are a unique being with incredible talents ready to blossom. Put yourself into alignment with what the Universe has for you. What you want out of life is just one positive thought away. I'm thinking about a Happy Ending. How about you?

Many blessings and Always Feel Good! I'm about to board a plane, but I came across some great quotes about "happiness" and I wanted to share them quickly before I miss my flight.

Happiness is what everyone should be striving. When your happy, life is so much more enjoyable. People will want to be around you because your "happy" vibrations rub off on them. So not only do you improve your life, you are also improving the life of another.

Carry some of the quotes around you as a reminder to always be looking for ways to make yourself happy. Ok gotta go. They just started boarding. Have a great day everybody, and Always Feel Good!

When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.
Helen Keller

Happiness does not consist in pastimes and amusements but in virtuous activities.
Aristotle

Happiness resides not in posessions and not in gold; the feeling of happiness dwells in the soul.
Democritus

People with many interests live, not only longest, but happiest.
George Matthew Allen

In the hopes of reaching the moon men fail to see the flowers that blossom at their feet.
Albert Schweitzer

Happiness is not achieved by the conscious pursuit of happiness; it is generally the by-product of other activities.
Aldous Huxley

There is only one person who could ever make you happy, and that person is you.
David Burns, Intimate Connections

The happiness of life is made up of minute fractions—the little soon-forgotten charities of a kiss, a smile, a kind look, a heartfelt compliment in the disguise of a playful raillery, and the countless other infinitessimals of pleasurable thought and genial feeling.
Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Men spend their lives in anticipations,—in determining to be vastly happy at some period when they have time. But the present time has one advantage over every other—it is our own. Past opportunities are gone, future have not come. We may lay in a stock of pleasures, as we would lay in a stock of wine; but if we defer the tasting of them too long, we shall find that both are soured by age.
Charles Caleb Colton

Who is the happiest of men? He who values the merits of others, and in their pleasure takes joy, even as though 'twere his own.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

The chances are that you have already come to believe that happiness is unattainable. But men have attained it. And they have attained it by realising that happiness does not spring from the procuring of physical or mental pleasure, but from the development of reason and the adjustment of conduct to principles.
from How to Live on 24 Hours a Day, by Arnold Bennett

Happiness is not a matter of events, it depends upon the tides of the mind.
Alice Meynell

Fortify yourself with contentment, for this is an impregnable fortress.
Epictetus

Happiness depends more on the inward disposition of mind than on outward circumstances.
Benjamin Franklin

The Radical Power Of Gratitude Challenge

Hello Friends,

Hope all is well. My friend Damon shared this with me the other day and I felt compelled to share it with you today. It is an exercise that we should be doing every day of our lives.

Gratitude fuels all of our wants and desires. We live in a Universe in which are reality is a direct response to what we are thinking and feeling. If we keep ourselves in a constant state of gratitude, the Universe will give us more to be grateful for.

I encourage each of you to make a conscious effort to just be thankful in everything you encounter today. The neat thing about gratitude is that you can't be grateful and negative at the same time. Disappointments and failures come from the negativity that we allow into our existence. If you remain thankful you will begin notice that a lot of the negativity that plagued your life will soon disappear. Sure you will be faced with challenges, but you will never let them get you down again.

Have a great day being grateful for EVERYTHING. I am so thankful to have the opportunity to connect with so many unique and wonderful individuals via this blog. I have made a lot of great friends because of this experience, and for that I am truly grateful. Many blessings, and Always Feel Good!

The Radical Power of Gratitude
By Margot Zaher and Jafree Ozwald

For the next 24 hours, we invite you to do something truly radical and out of the ordinary. We want you to explore what it is like to continuously dive into gratitude. Make this day 100% dedicated to thanking the Universe. Give thanks to the sun that shines, the clouds that give you moisture, a friend that you have, your eyes, hands, and your ability to read and learn. You have been blessed with air to breathe and food to keep you alive. Say to yourself or out loud, "I am so thankful for my life!" Let these words sink deeply into the cells of your body. Let them penetrate you to the core. It is truly mind boggling how good it feels just to let in a little bit of gratefulness.

This is a 24 hour experiment, but imagine what miracles you will experience if this was your daily routine.

~Gratitude is the seed miracles are made of~ QuoteGuy

Here's a short video I posted before, but I think this will help to give you a jump start.

http://www.youtube.com/user/ReDEFININGTHEDREAM

Making A Difference In The Life Of A Stranger

Hello Friends,

Hope all is well. Here's a short story I received via email that reminds us to always be in a state of compassion. It is easy to get caught up in all that is going on in our own lives. Sometimes we for get that we are not the only person on the planet. But today I want to challenge you to do at least one selfless act per day.

It doesn't have to be anything huge or monumental. It's amazing how far a simple smile can go. Just saying hello and smiling at a stranger may be all it takes to change an individuals life forever.

Enjoy the following story. Remember that you can make a difference on someones life for the better or for the worse. Make sure that you strive for the former. The great thing about this existence is that you get more of what you give. So if you are showing kindness you will experience kindness.

Be sure to share this story with friends and families. This could be your one selfless act for the day. Many blessings, and thanks for listening.

I arrived at the address where someone had requested a taxi. I honked but
no one came out. I honked again, nothing. So I walked to the door and
knocked. 'Just a minute', answered a frail, elderly voice. I could hear
something being dragged across the floor.

After a long pause, the door opened. A small woman in her 90's stood before
me. She was wearing a print dress and a pillbox hat with a veil pinned on
it, like somebody out of a 1940s movie.

By her side was a small nylon suitcase. The apartment looked as if no one
had lived in it for years. All the furniture was covered with sheets.

There were no clocks on the walls, no knickknacks or utensils on the
counters. In the corner was a cardboard box filled with photos and
glassware.

'Would you carry my bag out to the car?' she said. I took the suitcase to
the cab, and then returned to assist the woman.

She took my arm and we walked slowly toward the curb.

She kept thanking me for my kindness. 'It's nothing', I told her. 'I just
try to treat my passengers the way I would want my mother treated'.

'Oh, you're such a good boy', she said. When we got in the cab, she gave me an address, and then asked, 'Could you drive through downtown?'

'It's not the shortest way,' I answered quickly.
'Oh, I don't mind,' she said. 'I'm in no hurry. I'm on my way to a
hospice'.

I looked in the rear-view mirror. Her eyes were glistening. 'I don't have
any family left,' she continued. 'The doctor says I don't have very long.'
I quietly reached over and shut off the meter.

'What route would you like me to take?' I asked.

For the next two hours, we drove through the city. She showed me the
building where she had once worked as an elevator operator.

We drove through the neighborhood where she and her husband had lived when
they were newlyweds. She had me pull up in front of a furniture warehouse
that had once been a ballroom where she had gone dancing as a girl.

Sometimes she'd ask me to slow in front of a particular building or corner
and would sit staring into the darkness, saying nothing.

As the first hint of sun was creasing the horizon, she suddenly said, 'I'm
tired. Let's go now'

We drove in silence to the address she had given me. It was a low building,
like a small convalescent home, with a driveway that passed under a
portico.

Two orderlies came out to the cab as soon as we pulled up. They were
solicitous and intent, watching her every move. They must have been
expecting her.

I opened the trunk and took the small suitcase to the door. The woman was
already seated in a wheelchair.

'How much do I owe you?' she asked, reaching into her purse.
'Nothing,' I said

'You have to make a living,' she answered.

'There are other passengers,' I responded.

Almost without thinking, I bent and gave her a hug. She held onto me
tightly.

'You gave an old woman a little moment of joy,' she said.

'Thank you.'

I squeezed her hand, and then walked into the dim morning light. Behind me,
a door shut. It was the sound of the closing of a life.

I didn't pick up any more passengers that shift. I drove aimlessly lost in
thought. For the rest of that day, I could hardly talk. What if that woman
had gotten an angry driver, or one who was impatient to end his shift?
What if I had refused to take the run, or had honked once, then driven
away? On a quick review, I don't think that I have done anything more important
in my life.

We're conditioned to think that our lives revolve around great moments. But great moments often catch us unaware-beautifully wrapped in what others may consider a small one.

PEOPLE MAY NOT REMEMBER EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID, OR WHAT YOU SAID, BUT THEY WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HOW YOU MADE THEM FEEL.

A Mother's Love (Happy Mother's Day)

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 301px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_p7FiwxFklTw/SgcCgMORONI/AAAAAAAAAHg/VP057TkLEwo/s320/mom+and+baby+me.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5334235035703785682" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 235px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_p7FiwxFklTw/SgcCXceFLrI/AAAAAAAAAHY/nGlFEsrPADU/s320/me+and+mom+cropped.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5334234885446250162" />
BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES OF ME AND MY MOM. I am just enjoying a relaxing weekend, and I just wanted to say a quick hello. Every now and then, not having to do anything feels really good. Today is me time. I feel that it is very important to separate ourselves from all the background noise that is happening around us.

Take some time each day to just sit and "be". Find a quiet place and just sit in silence and listen to the voice of the Universe. The voice that is in all of us. The voice that tells us that all things are possible.

There are so many distractions that we encounter on a daily basis. It can be easy to forget to take time for self. If you don't take care of self, you can be of no help to anyone else.

The following video is a collection of excellent quotes to meditate on. Memorize a few and start applying them to your life. Be sure to share them with friends and family to. You never know who may really need to hear a positive word today. Have a great day, and thanks for listening. Blessings!

Will Smith's Formula For His Success

Hello Friends,

Hope all is well. I came across this video and I wanted to share it with you today. It is a Will Smith interview on the Tavis Smiley show. Smith has become one of the most successful entertainers of our day. He is one of the few actors in the 20 million club(He's paid $20,000,000 per film nowadays). And all of this from his humble beginnings in Philadelphia.

Smith gives us insight into how he has become successful. He says that there is a precise formula that he uses to ensure that whatever he touches turns to gold.

The great thing about Smith's formula is that it is not a secret. It is not something that only he knows about or that only he can perform. This formula is available to everyone at any time. We all have the ability to create favorable situations for ourselves that put us on a path to success.

The key is to pick a target and shoot for it. Set a specific goal. Map out a specific plan to reach those goals. Set a specific date on which want that goal to be met and then most important...GET STARTED! Never let anything stand in your way. The Universe will begin to conspire in your favor and soon you will be wondering why you had not done this sooner.

Enjoy this short but powerful interview. This is the same formula that all successful people use achieve their goals. Now you have it to do whatever your imagination can dream up. I look forward to hearing many success stories. Have fun creating the life that you want. You deserve it. Many blessings, and thanks for listening.

40 Steps To A Better Life

Hello Friends,

Hope all is well. Life is good and life should be good. It can be hard at times to recognize all the good that is around. We are constantly bombarded with all that is wrong our existence on this planet. It seems as though people and the media only focus on doom and destruction. All of these negative influences can affect your life if you allow it to.

It is time to take control of your life. You have the power to think and more importantly feel the way you want to. No one or no thing should be able to dictate your emotions.

The following are 40 things you can do to take back control of your life. These are simple exercises to remind yourself to just slow down and appreciate all the good that is around you.

Make it a point to carry out at least one exercise on a daily basis. Soon the exercises will become routine and when they become routine, your life will be anything but routine.

As you begin to focus on what is good in your life, goodness will continue to be in your experience. Let your focus be on what you truly want and that will become your reality.

The most important thing with these exercises is to have fun with them. Don't make it a chore. Life should be fun so if you have fun with this, the results will be fun as well.

The only one who can determine your happiness is you. Get started today and begin to see major changes in your life. Have a fun life. You deserve it. Many blessings and thanks for listening.

40 Steps to a Better Life - 2009

1. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, OR
issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot
control.

13. Instead invest your energy in the positive present
moment.

14. Realize that life is a school and you are here to
learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that
appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you
learn will last a lifetime.

15. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and
dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.

16. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the NEGATIVE BLUES
away.

17. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

18. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

19. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else
does.

20. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to
disagree.

21. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the
present.

22. Don't compare your life to others. You have no
idea what their journey is all about.

23. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

24. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: In
five years, will this matter?

25. Forgive everyone for everything.

26. What other people think of you is none of your
business.

27. REMEMBER GOD heals everything.

28. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

29. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick.
Your friends will. Stay in touch.

30. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful
or joyful.

31. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you
need.

32. The best is yet to come.

33. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

34. Do the right thing!

35. Call your friends often. (Or email them to death!!!)

36. Each night before you go to bed complete the following
statements: I am thankful for __________. Today I
accomplished _________.

37. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.

38. Enjoy the ride.

39. Remember this is not Disney World and
you certainly don't want a fast pass. You only have one
ride through life so make the most of it and enjoy the ride.

40. Please Forward this to everyone you care about.

Nick Vujicic - Life Without Limbs(Not A Problem)

Hello Friends,

Hope all is well. A friend of mine emailed me the following video a few days ago. It was perfect timing because I received it at a time when I was kind of down and feeling sorry for myself. Not in a desperate way but I was complaining about all the little things that happen every day. We all go through it and we allow these little annoyances to ruin our whole day.

It seems at times that the whole world is conspiring against us. We sometimes feel alone in this big universe. We tend to shrivel up into a corner at the first sign of adversity. After viewing this video, I no longer feel the need to ever complain again.

This video features Nick Vujicic, a man born without arms or legs. Nick has managed to do more with his life than most of us will ever dream of. I don't want to say to much because I would rather let the video speak for itself. The message is better left to be told by Nick himself.

I encourage you to click on the related videos and visit his website, Life Without Limbs as well to find out more about Nick and his mission to inspire millions of people to reach their full potential.

We are here to enjoy this existence. Find the good things in life to be grateful for. Focus on the things that you want and life will be more fulfilling. The more we focus on the lack of "stuff" in our lives, we will continue to experience lack of "stuff".

Only dwell on the good feelings of having and being what you want. This begins the creative process. Soon you will begin to see evidence of your wants and desires. Release all the petty complaints that you may have. They are completely counter productive. Despite our circumstances, anything and everything is possible.

Enjoy this video and be sure to share it with your friends and family. Have a great day as you allow into it all that the Universe has for you. Thanks for listening and many blessings.

I'm So Happy And Grateful Now That...Redefining The Dream

Hello Friends,

Hope all is well. Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends. I just wanted to share a short video with you on this day of gratefulness. It was introduced to me by Richard Furlong. I am grateful for Richard and positive attitude he brings to life.

The following is one of my favorite quotes, "The Power Of Attitude". It is a quote that reminds us that a positive attitude leads to amazing things.

Our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but how we react to what happens; not by what life brings us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst...A spark that creates extraordinary results.

On this day of Thanksgiving we can substitute the word "gratitude" in place of "attitude" and it is just as powerful.

Our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but how we react to what happens; not by what life brings us, but by the gratitude we bring to life. Unconditional gratitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. Gratitude is a catalyst...A spark that creates extraordinary things.

We need to be grateful in all things. The good and the bad. I was talking with my mother about this prior to writing this and she reminded me of the importance of being grateful for anything and everything that happens to us. This may seem hard when situations appear to be negative, but we never know what the end result will be.

We are quick to be thankful for the good things in life but reject the negative. Many times situations that may seem negative are the ones that lead us to what we are truly wanting. Being grateful for hardships can also be a chain reaction to positive thoughts, events, and outcomes.

By remaining thankful, another door will surely be opened. Dwelling on the negative leads to confusion and indecision because we are not focused on our goals. In this state, all you can see are the obstacles standing in the way. Change your attitude to one of gratitude and you will begin to see extraordinary results and a clear path towards your aspirations.

Make everyday one gratitude. When you wake up in the morning, let your thoughts be, "I'm so happy and grateful now that..." and take it from there. Be happy and grateful for all things and be ready for an amazing existence.

Again, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Thanks for listening and many blessings!

http://www.youtube.com/user/ReDEFININGTHEDREAM

Make Change A Good Thing

Hello Friends,

Hope all is well. During the recent election Barack Obama's platform was CHANGE. Obama felt that it was time for a change for the American people. While there is a need for change for the America as a whole, I feel it is equally important for individuals to personally change as we head into a new era.

One of my business partners has a quote that she likes to use to motivate others.
"Do just ONE thing different and it will change everything."
It is a reminder that all we need is a simple shift in thinking. Albert Einstein said,

"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."

Change is good. Change is inevitable. It is our job to identify these changes and then adapt accordingly. Don't get down if it seems as though the world around you is moving at a different pace. Don't wait for circumstances to change. Change the circumstances.

We are meant to be proactive in this existence on planet earth. We can choose to ride the wave and go with the flow. In this state, we are aligned with the Universe and everything moves easily into our lives. We can also choose to do nothing and get swept away by the waves. This causes us to feel as though we are being tossed around in every direction with no hope for the future.

I encourage all of us to look at ourselves as we move into this new era. Don't look for the new administration as a source of happiness. Happiness can't come from these external forces. Happiness can only come from within. When we begin to change the way we perceive our existence, then happiness and contentment can be had.

The following are some great quotes concerning change. Read them. Embrace them. Live them. Get excited for all the wonderful things that are already in your life and for the things that are on its way. Change is on the way. But that is no longer a problem. Many blessings, and thanks for listening.

Abraham Lincoln:
The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew.

Alan Cohen:
It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Aldous Huxley:
There's only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self.

Alfred North Whitehead:
The art of progress is to preserve order amid change and to preserve change amid order.

Anais Nin:
Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it. This is a kind of death.

Andy Warhol:
They say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.

Anne Frank:
How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.

Anne Frank:
Then, without realizing it, you try to improve yourself at the start of each new day; of course, you achieve quite a lot in the course of time. Anyone can do this, it costs nothing and is certainly very helpful. This is a great short story to remind us to be mindful of how we structure our lives. We are the architects of our existence. The Universe has blessed with the amazing ability to create our existence with our thoughts.

It is important however to be aware of what thoughts we are sending out to the Universe. Every thought is a piece of the house that we are building for ourselves. So we must ask ourselves, "what kind of house do I want to live in."

ARE YOU BUILDING A SHACK...

OR A MANSION?

When we realize that the choices we make determine the life that we have, we will begin to make better decisions. We will strive to make life better for ourselves and for our fellow man. In everything you do, do it to the best of your abilities. You never know what and who you may affect.

Enjoy this short story. Remember to put forth you best effort every step of the way. You are a awesome person with an infinite amount of potential. Don't sell yourself short. You deserve the best. Many blessings and thanks for listening.

Building Your House

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house-building business to live a more leisurely life with his wife and enjoy his extended family. He would miss the paycheck each week, but he wanted to retire. They could get by.

The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go & asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but over time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career.

When the carpenter finished his work, his employer came to inspect the house. Then he handed the front-door key to the carpenter and said, "This is your house... my gift to you."

The carpenter was shocked!

What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently.

So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than our best into the building. Then, with a shock, we realize we have to live in the house we have built. If we could do it over, we would do it much differently.

But, you cannot go back. You are the carpenter, and every day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Someone once said, "Life is a do-it-yourself project." Your attitude, and the choices you make today, help build the "house" you will live in tomorrow. Therefore, Build wisely!

Author Unknown

Blog Action Day - Poverty (How Will You Make A Difference)

Hello Friends,

Hope all is well. Today is Blog Action Day. The focus this year is on poverty. Poverty is something that is experienced in every culture in the world. But why is this? One of my favorite quotes that I remind myself of every day is, "There's more than enough for everyone".

The Universe has provided us with everything that we could ever need for our existence on this planet. There should be no poverty. The key is to remember that we are all connected. We all stem from the Source that has always been and will always be. Since this is so, there is no lack for anything.

There are many cases in which people cannot work for themselves because of circumstances beyond their control, such as injury or disabilities. These people have it tougher and may fall victim to poverty. But even in theses cases it shouldn't be so.

We as a global community need to look out for each other. I am you and you are me. Because of this, every time you help someone, you are strengthening the whole. If you see someone in need, help them out. Find a charity that you can volunteer for. There are so many ways in which we can help out our fellow man. A simple smile can change someone's outlook on life and give them the will to live or find a way to better themselves.

Today is Blog Action Day, but this should be something that we observe everyday. Let it become a part of who you are. Practice helping at least on person a day. Anything, no matter how small, will make a difference.

We stem from an all perfect Source, so for every situation, there is a perfect solution. Be still and let the Universe speak to you. It will tell you how you can help the masses.

Have a great day exploring ways in which to reach out to your fellow man. Be creative. I guarantee that you will improve the life of others and yours by being a caring and giving person. Thanks for listening, and many blessings!

Blog Action Day 2008 Poverty from Blog Action Day on Vimeo.

Everyone Is God Speaking - Be Polite And Listen

Hello Friends,

Hope all is well. I've been re-reading Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life: Living the Wisdom of the Tao by Dr. Wayne Dyer. The Tao Te Ching was written by Lao tzu some 2500 years ago. It is a guide to success in life presented in 81 powerful verses. In this book, Dr. Dyer writes an essay on each verse, with his take on its meaning.

I am reading one verse a day and focusing on that particular message for the entire day. That's why I have not been posting as much as usual. I decided to take some time to focus on some areas in my life and attitude that may need changing. After delving into the book, I realized that there is much room for improvement.

I wanted to share the 7th verse of the Tao Te Ching which Dr. Dyer named "Living Beyond Ego". It's one of my favorites because it reminds us of the fact that we are all connected despite how individualistic we have become.

Heaven is eternal-the earth endures.
Why do heaven and earth last forever?
They do not live for themselves only.
This is the secret of their durability.

For this reason the sage puts himself last
and so ends up ahead.
He stays a witness to life,
so he endures.

Serve the needs of others,
and all your own needs will be fulfilled.
Through selfless action, fulfillment is attained.

Lao-tzu urges us to work towards the good of the whole. When we do this, it is not work at all, but rather a free flow of positive energy emanating from everyone. Nature doesn't work against itself. Everything in nature is working in perfect unison and cohesion.

You will never find a bee that feels it is more special than another bee. If you look at an ant hill, all the ants are moving for one purpose. A flower doesn't look upon another flower and feel that it is prettier. No one thing in nature feels entitled.

As humans we allow our egos to cloud our outlook on life with unnecessary worries and distractions. We cling to "things" as status symbols. The watch that we wear or the car we drive define us rather than what is inside. This way of thinking can lead to disaster.

When you define yourself by the "stuff" that you have, you will constantly be chasing for more in order to keep your status high. You also begin to forget about other people if they don't meet your need for status. You may look past the homeless person in need because you can't afford to be seen in their company. Your friends might see you and you don't want them to think bad of you.

It's this idea of feeling special that leads to problems. The fact is, we are all special. VERY special. But none more so than another. We are all equally special. We emanate from the Source. From the One. From God. We are all extensions of something perfect.

God is in everyone and everything. If we could just remember this on a daily basis, life on earth would be so much easier. Instead of everyone looking out for #1, everyone would be helping each other. There is more than enough for everyone with no need to hoard any of earths resources.

Try to see yourself in everyone that you meet. When you do this you will be compelled to be a more compassionate. Understanding that we are all connected will prompt you to help those in need. When we help others we are strengthening the whole. When the whole is in agreement, nothing is impossible.

This poem by Hafiz the Sufi poet sums it up perfectly.

Everyone
Is God speaking.
Why not be polite and
Listen to
Him?

Everyone means everyone. When we keep this in mind, we become much more respectful of the people that we encounter each day. The Source is in each of us. Take the time to listen and enjoy what it has provided for all of us. Have a great day and many blessings!

TAKE A LESSON FROM NATURE!!!

http://www.youtube.com/luftair

Persistence - A Lesson From The Chinese Bamboo Tree

Hello friends,

Hope all is well. I wanted to share this video with you. The message reminds us to be persistent in everything we do. It may seem as though our efforts are in vain, but if you continue on despite the obstacles, results will follow.

Seeds, like our desires, take time to grow. Some longer than others. The important thing to remember is that once the seed is planted you have to have faith that if you continue to nurture this seed, it will eventually turn into something beautiful.

Don't get discouraged if you don't see the fruits of your labor right away. The seed that you have planted needs time to take root. Keep watering your seeds. Pursue your desires no matter what the circumstances may be. Circumstance is temporary. Your belief in your dream is what gets you past these difficult times.

Finally one day your desires will be realized. At this moment you will understand that your persistence was worth it. The result will be something that is amazing and unique to you. Find your passion. Uncover your desires. All that we need has been provided for us. Water your seeds of passion and know that the harvest is coming and it will soon be your time to reap its rewards. Many blessings, and have a great day.

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race”

-Calvin Coolidge

“The most essential factor is persistence - the determination never to allow your energy or enthusiasm to be dampened by the discouragement that must inevitably come.”

-James Whitcomb Riley

“Persistence is the twin sister of excellence. One is a matter of quality; the other, a matter of time.”

-Unknown

“Permanence, perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragement, and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak”

-Thomas Carlyle

www.youtube.com/user/SkyQuestCom

Peace Day: Make Your Pledge To Peace

Hello Friends,

Hope all is well. I just wanted to give you heads up on a very important event that will be taking place on Sunday September 21st. The event is Peace Day. I learned of the event through Peace One Day on myspace.

MyspaceTaggers.com

Peace Day is the dream of Jeremy Gilley. In 1998 he set out to talk to the leaders of the world to establish a day of peace. A day when there would be a complete cease fire between every nation. It is a day on which everyone should be focused on the message of peace.

I am all for a day like this. Hopefully, instead of just a day, we can have a Peace Week, and a Peace Month, which will hopefully lead to peace every day of the year. It's a dream we should be all striving for and helping to promote.

Mother Theresa was approached to join many anti-war rallies and she always refused. She would say, "Point me in the direction of a peace rally and I'll be there." She knew that an anti-war movement would bring about more war.

We have a lot of wars taking place today. The "war on drugs", "the war on poverty", "the war on terrorism". It seems as though we are only losing these wars. The reason is because "war begets war". So by using words such as "war" we are only enforcing the negative feelings associated with war. The more you push against something the more it persist.

A peace rally takes away the negative and only focuses on the positive. With a peace rally, you are not fighting or destroying anything. Rather, you are building and growing the positive consciousness that is in all of us.

I encourage each of you to join the Peace Day efforts. Make an effort to promote peace on September 21st. When we have millions of people focused on peace at the same time, we will send out a great wave a positive energy. Hopefully this energy will be felt by the leaders of the world and they will realize that peace is the only way.

You can visit Peace Peace One Day to make your commitment to the Peace Day movement. I'm number 16,499 under Quoteguy. My pledge to peace is, "I will destroy an enemy by first making him my friend". I chose this because it is something I can do every day and not just on a designated day. The important thing to remember is to strive for peace each and every day.

I would love to hear your commitments to peace. Leave me a comment on how you will promote peace on September 21st and every day there after. This our planet.
our home. We have to preserve it for future generations. Let's help to ensure that peace will be the main focus of every human being living and soon to be born. Many blessings, and thanks for listening.

Quotes Myspace Graphics / Myspace Quotes | Layouts | Gain Muscle

Jude Law welcomes you to the Official Peace One Day MySpace page

Turn Your Failures Into Successes

Hello Friends,

Hope all is well. The following are 3 quotes that remind us to persevere no matter the situation. We first have to have a dream. There has to be something that is a motivating factor in our live. Life becomes so much more exciting when we have something to live for. Discover your dream and your passion and you're on your way to fulfilled life.

Your Dreams
Most people never run far enough on their first wind to find out they've got a second. Give your dreams all you've got and you'll be amazed at the energy that comes out of you. William James

Once you decide what your passion or dream is you then have to take the necessary steps to achieve this goal. This can be the scary part. Getting started. If you examine the lives of successful people, you will find that they failed many times before they finally "made it". No one is an instant success. In show business we often hear about the "over night sensation". The fact is that person probably worked for years before being discovered. Actors and musicians perform for years without recognition before they hit the big time. The important thing is that they believe in their dream despite what anyone else may say. This is crucial factor to realizing your dream.

Mistakes
If you have made mistakes, even serious ones, there is always another chance for you. What we call failure is not the falling down, but the staying down. Mary Pickford photo by Daylight

Once you get started you will inevitably make mistakes. But that's OK. Mistakes are a part of growing. Breaking down the barriers is what makes us tougher for what may lay ahead of us. Understand that mistakes will be made, but that these mistakes do not have to be the end of your dream. It is merely a sign that there is a better way.

Failure into Success
Even at the worst there is a way out, a hidden secret that can turn failure into success and despair into happiness. No situation is so dark that there is not a ray of light. Norman Vincent Peale

Learn how to turn your failures into successes. The process of achieving the goal is the most important part of the journey. It is during this process that we evolve into the great person we envisioned our self to be. This is when we take our lumps and learn to be strong and focused despite the many obstacles.

The Universe always knows the best way for you to receive your blessings. It is our job to come into alignment with what the Universe has for us. Everything that we need is already provided for us. Take the time to focus on what you want, completely, and all your dreams will be given to you.

Have a great day. It's yours to create. Here is a quick video to jump start your day. Every day is yours to create. Take control of your life from the minute you open your eyes in the morning. The following is great video from Dr. Wayne Dyer titled "The Power Of Intention". It is based on his book under the same name. Once we learn how to positively use our intentions, our possibilities will be endless.

Set aside some time to watch this video. It's just over two hours long but the time flies by because by listening you are actually connecting with the Source. Listen to the words and then internalize them. Follow the steps that he lays out. Baby steps get you to your goals. Nothing is impossible as long as your intentions are focused.

Many blessings, and thanks for listening.

Love Yourself Unconditionally

Hello Friends,

Hope all is well. Here are some great quotes about love to think about today. Love is all we need. Love encompasses everything. The most important love, is love for yourself.

It is very hard to show love outwardly if you don't have the same feelings on the inside. The first step to realizing love is have and unconditional love for yourself. This means not judging yourself to harshly. A lot of times we are our own worst critics. If we do something wrong or make a mistake, we are quick to beat ourselves up.

Take it easy on yourself. In this existence, mistakes will be made. That's what makes us stronger to face new challenges. By overcoming certain obstacles we are equipping ourselves for the what may come next. But is you beat yourself every time something goes wrong, you will probably be hesitant to try again because of the fear of failure.

Once you begin to love yourself, the world will begin to show you love. Remember that what is happening around you, is a reflection of what is happening within. So if their is inner turmoil, the same will be manifested into your reality.

Here are some great quotes about love. Take a few with you throughout your day. Remember to show a little love to your fellow man. More importantly, be sure to show yourself some love as well. If you can't love yourself...who else can? Have a great day, and thanks for listening. Blessings!

"Love is perfect kindness."

Joseph Campbell

"Love is, above all, the gift of oneself."

Jean Anouilh

"Love never claims, it ever gives."

Mohandas K. Gandhi

"All you need is love."

John Lennon

"Love is the enchanted dawn of every heart."

Alphonse Marie de la Martine

Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things.

Paul (A.D. First Century) 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

"Love doesn't make the world go round, love is what makes the ride worthwhile."

Elizabeth Browning

"Love is an act of faith, and whoever is of little faith is also of little love."

Erich Fromm

"One word frees us of all the weight and pain in life. That word is Love."

Sophocles

"There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved."

George Sand

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage."

Lao Tzu

Don't Give Into The Theif In The Mind

Hello Friends,

Hope all is well. Jim Rohn is one of my favorite speakers. The way in which he delivers his message always hits home with me. He mainly speaks about succeeding in sales and marketing, but does so from a different angle.

Rohn doesn't teach about specific businesses that will make you rich but rather the mindset you need to have in order to be rich. His talks are always geared towards personal development.

In order to be successful, Rohn challenges us to change ourselves rather than the environment we inhabit.
