This chapter contains blessings that Moses gave to the tribes of Israel shortly before his death. Gordon compared these to the blessings that Jacob gave to his sons in &lt;a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=1&amp;chapter=49&amp;version=31"&gt;Genesis 49&lt;/a&gt;.
