This was then turned into the Board of Nursing in my state. I am not a chronic user, but attended a party 2 weeks before. I did not know that it stays in your system for 30 days!!
I have a 30 year career and now am facing the Board of Nursing, and so far they have wanted alot of documentation such as my resume, job description, letter of explanantion, job evaluations, etc. I am so petrified that I am very depressed and afraid to seek employment. Does anyone know what I can expect from the Board or has anyone been through this? This is my first complaint ever. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!I have never been through what your about to.

first, relax. you know you did not do anything wrong. you were unaware of the impact of just being around smoking contra ban. sometimes it is unavoidable. if you pay to be at a concert and there is alot of smoke what are you to do.

2nd - provide whatever they want. yes it is work and alot but what choice do you have at this point.

3rd - they are doing there job to protect the public. do not take it personally. tell them that! it can only help them to relax as well.

4th - I would wait to clear this up before applying else where unless there is issues with your current employment.

take care of yourself and keep us updated. hopefully someone can chime in with some real experience.<div class="feedflare">

I'm Shelley and I'm new to Nurse Connect! I am a graduate nursing student at DePaul University in Chicago and will be graduating on November 20th!! So excited!! Prior to returning to school, I was a seasoned management professional, serving as operations manager for several outpatient medical clinics. Because of my experience, my senior research is investigating the need for an outpatient practice assessment tool by surveying RNs and APRNs who supervise Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (non-certified and certified Medical Assistants, typically) in the outpatient setting. During my management career, my focus was to determine Barriers to Healing and try and figure out how to get my practices to run in the best way possible, keeping everyone within their scopes of practice, with the goal to eliminate those barriers. Thus, my research has become a formal process to bring my passion to the masses. If you are an RN / APRN who works in an outpatient setting and your setting employs MA's and you supervise these folks in some capacity, you can participate in my survey! I'm graduating in just 3 short weeks, so your help is needed! The link is below.
I'm looking forward to finally taking my passion for nursing and management and starting the next chapter of my life! God Bless Nurses!

I have had much difficulty convincing employers I am not a criminal! How does anyone get past this??Are you interested in moving to California? We have a lot of needs for travel and per diem in CA. Please email medical.staffer@yahoo.com if you are or you know anyone who is interested. Thank you!<div class="feedflare">
