It still must be signed with a 17 capabilities certificate. The installer does not install all features but it does install most. For now, the SIS file just installs all the mods.

-Optimized Memory Settings which has resulted in a much more responsive device
-Updated TrackID icon in Media
-Updated Equalizer icon in Media (Thanks to PlitC for providing the icon)
-Updated Facebook application (Uses Symbian Keyboard) (Java) to version 2.64
-Uses a New method (*.cre) for setting the number of saved sent messages to 9999999
-Media shortcut icons colour has been changed to light grey to match with the Media icons
-Updated internet user agent version to R2EA
-Removed RoadSync Panel as it does not work with the Satio, even if you install RoadSync 5.
-Updated Facebook Web pub. plugins from Vivaz R2EA021 firmware. Must be installed using the .Jad file Note: Even though it will say that you have version 60 installed, this version is newer (Extra folder)
-Updated TwitPic Web pub. plugins from Vivaz R2EA021 firmware. Must be installed using the .Jad file (Extra folder)
-Halved screen rotation time
-Added more Game UID's
-Added a Movie Editor installer in the extras folder (Requires signing)
-Added a link to the Movie Editor under the video section in Media
-Fixed the "Equalizer in music and youtube in video" extra
-Removed 4x Media transition as it was causing the Media to crash at times. I've moved it to the extra folder
-Replaced Google Search shortcut on the homescreen with the calendar (Thanks to PlitC for providing the icon)
-Updated Youtube application to 2.44. All credit goes to pankomputerek (Extras Folder)
-OfficeSuite, Alternate Reader & PDF+ will automatically be moved to the organizer folder upon installation.
-If you get an error "cannot use as wallpaper" Set Open4All in Ropmatcher+ to auto and rebbot the phone (Credit to Just486 for the fix)
-Disabled Widget Security Mod as it was incompatable with mahny widgets.
-SIS Installer is now present. This is a cut down version of KokoroMOD 0.4 & does not feature many features, Manual installation is recomended if possible.
Synchronising your Sony Ericsson Symbian phone on a Macintosh is a real pain. Sony Ericsson has crippled the plugin by adding small character limits and so long items such as addresses are not synchronised fully. This is a big problem as the information is not fully synchronised and when the phone is synchronised issues must be manually resolved which is time consuming and can lead to data loss. I have fixed the plugin, by merging the Sony Ericsson plugins with the Nokia N97's plugin, this has fixed most bugs and annoyances and now the synchronisation process runs like clockwork. This is compatible with all Sony Ericsson Symbian^1 phones (Satio, Vivaz,& Vivaz Pro).

The Vivaz Pro R2EA021 firmware offers nothing new and the Satio owners feeling left out by Sony Ericsson's decision to stop providing updates should not. Thanks to Basithz for providing me with UIQ Z:/ Drive dumps which have helped me understand how to place shortcuts in the Media application as they contain comments by Sony Ericsson)

-A button is present on the main media screen where the filename encoding can be changed

-A link to the Equalizer is now present in Media in the Music & Video sections

-A link to the Radio is now present in Media in the Music section

-A link to the Voice recorder is now present in Media in the Music section

-A link to TrackID is now present in Media in the Music section

-A link to YouTube is now present in media in the video section for anyone that didn't have it

-Removed all PlayNow links from Media

-A personalised media file for the United Kingdom, contains all of the above, as well as a link to TVCacthup, BBC iPlayer & an update BBC iPlayer icon.

-The folder containing the flash files (Adobe® Flash®) has been renamed to "Adobe Flash" as it was being duplicated whenever a user updated to a newer version of this pack due to the phone not handling ® symbols properly.

-Fixed an incorrect UID which prevented Dance Fabulous from being moved to the Games Folder

-Updated Twitter panel from the Vivaz Pro R2EA021 Firmware (This one stores your username & password)

-Extracted Facebook Panel (Great work Sony Ericsson, took you 10 months to release it unofficially and not for the Satio even though it is advertised on the box and the advertisements) (Luckily this version takes the stored username & password from the Facebook Java application and so you will not be prompted for your username and password, not that useful of an application as the news feed is short but status updating works. It requires the Sony Ericsson Facebook (Java) application to work.

-Extracted RoadSync Panel from Vivaz Pro R2EA021 Firmware (Untested but it does run - it may need RoadSync 5, the Satio has RoadSync 4)

-Media transitions are 4 times faster (Will Only be activated when C2Z is enabled)

-Fixed a bug where the Flow & Twitter panels

-The Sony Ericsson Facebook Application (Java) has been extracted from the Vivaz Pro R2EA021 Firmware. (This version uses the Symbian keyboard) (Can be found in Extras)

-The Equalizer has been added to the extras folder for anyone that can't access PlayNow

-The Sony Ericsson Facebook Application (Java) has been added to the extras folder for anyone that can't access PlayNow, this version is newer than the one provided for Satio's on PlayNow and is needed for the Facebook Panel to work.

-Fixed the Enable Dialler, Phone Call, Video Call applications to be used in landscape extra

-Changed Web Browser user agent to the Vivaz as PlayNow offers more applications, newer versions and has a homescreen panel tab.

Download

Update: If the Facebook Panel doesn't login, Run the Facebook Application (Java), login and minimize it and then the Facebook Panel should work.

Update 2: here's a TrackID media icon I made http://www.mediafire.com/?vkdapfyhppu04cq . I just got my results today and will be studying Computer Science with Management BSc at King's College London. Number 23 in the world, not too shabby eh :D Ironically the university is just across the river from the Symbian Foundation :P

I am so happy and to celebrate there will be two new releases by Sunday.

No more frustrations with the downgrading process. Note: You still need to

1. Download this file ROMPatcher+ 2.3.zip
2. Copy patcher.ldd to C:/sys/bin/patcher.ldd
3. Copy patcherShadow.ldd to C:/sys/bin/patcherShadow.ldd
4. Sign RomPatcherPlus_2.3_LiteVersion.sis with your 17 capabilities certificate
5. Make a backup of your personal data with the built in backup manager
6. Delete as many files as you can but make sure not to delete C:/sys/bin/patcher.ldd and C:/sys/bin/patcherShadow.ldd
7. By the time you finish deleting stuff, you should have about 70MB on C:/
8. Reboot your phone twice

9. Install the RomPatcherPlus_2.3_LiteVersion.sis which you signed previously to C:/ (Phone Memory) - HelloOX2 can be uninstalled as it is no longer needed

10. Your phone has now been manually hard reset without losing your hack and having to downgrade

11. Restore any backup you made but do not restore your settings as they can cause issues with mods or bring back bugs.

*)Increased sound quality of head phones.
*)Added edited EQ.(Use the EQ app from playnow; setting for EQ changed, all EQ presets have been edited to give best sound quality and loudness)

I am waiting for someone to dump the new Vivaz Pro firmware before I start on version 0.4

To use this modification you must have RomPatcher+ installed with the Open4All patch enabled during installation. The Phone may appear slow after installation as the settings are being updated. You are responsible for any damage to your device! This hack has been tested on a Sony Ericsson Satio with firmware version R2AK006. The files in this pack are my property and credits must be given. If you want any wok to be included in this pack then you can contact me. This pack is open, in that anybody can contribute and modify files as long as proper credits are given.

Camera driver mods cannot be done, blame Sony Ericsson for not following Symbian's camera guidelines. For Acoustics you can use BAM. I had previously made a SIS installer to allow installation on unhacked phones with most features but some issues where holding up this release and so has been pushed to KokoroMOD 0.4

Version 0.1

-Enabled Vivaz Home screen

-Enabled Ambient Light Sensor adjustment slider in settings

-Enabled Alphanumeric Dialler

-Increased device's FPS from 22 to 60

-Increased maximum CPU time from 75% to 100%

-Reduced effects complexity which should result in a speed increase, less processing power used and hence longer battery life.

-Increased System Memory Heap Size and decreased Application Delay and Close Time

-When checking the firmware version C:\Private\102072c4\reserved.bin a 0kb file is created opposed to the 5MB file, saving 5 megabytes on C:/ (This is safe as Sony Ericsson has never provided a Over The Air Update and by the looks of things, does not intend to and so this OTA update cache is not needed)

Version 0.2

-Disabled boot up animation and sound (3 Second boot up time saved) (Thanks to dzver0 for the inspiration)

-Phone Dialler, Voice call and Video Call Applications can be used in landscape

-Fixed the DLNA crashing bug (Thanks to Mustaine8661 for the fix)

-Browser web cache is now unlimited and is saved to E:/ instead of C:/

-Included the following Flash Panels: Balloon Game, Beach Marimba, Memo Pad, Mobile Aquarium, Unlimited and Wozirata Pop

-Reduced delay for the screen to rotate

-The Entertainment folder has been deleted and the Apps folder has been put in its place

-RealPlayer is now present in the Organiser folder

-Deleted "Dwd Chat" that links to http://www.shapeservices.com/semc-im/se.html from the Applications folder

-Deleted the Chat folder from the menu

-Deleted "IM" from the Applications folder (It was useless anyway, It can be launched from Z:\sys\bin\ChatNG.exe)

-Deleted Setup Wizard from the Applications folder (It can be launched from Z:\sys\bin\Setup.exe)

-Applications, Organiser, Games & Location folder icons now change with themes.

-All HD Games will be moved to the Games folder in Applications upon installation sorted in alphabetical order

-Games folder name changes with the phones language

-All GPS Applications will be moved to the Location folder upon installation sorted in alphabetical order

-Conversations removed from Applications folder. There is no point in it being there, as it is present in the messaging application.

-Added TwitPic option in Web Publishing (Extracted from Vivaz Pro R2CA024)

-The Internet browser can now be rotated even if screen rotation is disabled in sensor settings (Options->Display Options->Rotate Screen) (Credit to NP)

-The Voice Recorder can now record for up to 24 Hours

-Maximum bit rate is used when recording sound

-Disabled Ambient Light Sensor adjustment slider in settings as it was causing problems with SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 (Thanks to DingYao for the fix)

-PlayNow menu link now takes you directly to the PlayNow Store website without any redirects

-Removed widget security warnings (Credit to Szalakit)

-Ongoing download(s) on power, hardware or software failure will be resumed on next Browser Start-up

-Added "Extras" folder that contains the Vivaz Media Buttons (Note: This can be buggy as it uses the C2Z RomPatcher+ Patch)

-Added "Disable Hacks" folder

Version 0.3

-The number of saved sent messages is now 9999999. (Note: Do not change this value in settings or it will revert to =<999>
-Added an option in the Extras folder do enable the Unlocking/Locking of the phone in the same way as the Vivaz (The slider will still work)

-Updated Flow & Twitter Panels to the versions from the Vivaz Pro R2CA024 firmware

-Remapped all the Sony Ericsson home screen layout files from Z:\resource\apps\sai to C:\shared\sai. This allows the layout to be modified without the need for a c2z RomPatcher+ patch. (Thanks to plainj for helping fix some issues)

-Updated the Sony Ericsson home screen with the Vivaz Pro R2CA024 layout & fixes.

-Sony Ericsson Home screen transitions are 4 times faster.

-Vivaz Home screen floating board transition effect re-enabled.

-Added the "12 month call log" Rompatcher+ patch by Wadowice & Marshall.87 (can be enabled/disabled in RomPatcher+)

-Added the "Remove show open apps" Rompatcher+ patch by Wadowice (can be enabled/disabled in RomPatcher+)

-Added the "Send SIS & JAR files" Rompatcher+ patch by billoo (can be enabled/disabled in RomPatcher+)

-Added the "Restart Power Button" Rompatcher+ patch by Wadowice which restarts the phone on a long press on the power key, pressing Power Key -> Turn Off will turn off the phone. (can be enabled/disabled in RomPatcher+)

-Touch screen vibration time halved which should increase UI responsiveness and battery life when vibration feedback is enabled. (Value is the same as Symbian^3)

-Maximum wallpaper dimensions are now 4000*4000, this fixes a bug where rotated 12 megapixel images (3000*4000) cannot be set as wallpapers

-FPS changed to 30, This is temporary until the Media slowdown is resolved.

-Disabled Phone Dialler, Voice call and Video Call Applications landscape mode as it was causing problems. (Can be re-enabled in the extra folder)

-NDrive 10 is now moved automatically to locations folder upon installation

-Added more game UID's to the games folder

-Removed the MMS 20 slide limitation and now an unlimited number of slides can be used

-Screen Rotation values have been changed to the Nokia N8's values

-Fixed a bug which caused the backlight to stay on even when the phone is locked

-Fixed a bug which prevented the screen from displaying upon waking up

-Fixed a couple mistakes which have resulted in slightly better performance

Version 0.3.1

-Removed the "Send SIS & JAR files" Rompatcher+ patch as it was preventing the creation of a message (Thanks to Pankomputerek for the heads up). X-Plore can be used to send SIS & JAR files so this patch causes more problems than it brings benefits.

Version 0.3.2

-The Vivaz Home screen tab indicators have been replaced with the colourful Satio ones. Can be disabled in the disable hacks folder.

-Moved the Rompatcher+ patches to E:/patches/ as they where in the wrong folder and where not detected by Rompatcher+

-The Favourites Panel on the Satio home screen is now the same as the one in the Vivaz home screen. So the Phonebook, + & - keys are displayed opposed to only the + & -.

-Fixed a bug where the Main panel on the Satio home screen was not rendering properly.

It is recommended that everyone updates to this version

Sony Ericsson has not released a signed, working version of QT. Luckily, Faenil (i8910 ROM Cooker) & Madhacker have released One-Click Qt Installer which enables the installation of QT on Sony Ericsson Symbian devices. This is good news as it essentially future proofs the phone as it can now run Nookia N8 apps. Unfortunately, it cannot be installed on an unhacked phone as it must be signed with a 19capc certificate & key. Who knows it may even be able to play the QT version of angry birds once it's released :).
It is the latest home screen layout, taken from the Vivaz Pro R2CA024. It has no modifications and is intended for the creative types to improve upon the home screen layout and features. I had intended to give release this with KokoroMOD 0.3 but that has been held up. Editing is simple and can be done by anyone with basic XML knowledge. C:/shared/SAI must be edited with all modifications. Unfortunately, the Media and camera layouts cannot be remapped to C:/ without the C2Z patch. Many things can be done with this: e.g reorganise tab items, increase transition speed (Present in KokoroMOD 0.3) e.t.c

Download

The best Symbian browser has been updated to support HTML5, unfortunately it does not support HTML5 video. I hope this will be included in the final or Opera Mobile 11 as flash on mobile devices sucks (I'm with Apple :D). The kinetic scrolling has duration has been increased, unfortunately all graphical calculations is done by the CPU and not the graphics accelerator and so scrolling cannot keep up most times. I hope they fix this by including the Imagination Technologies libraries in the future, I however doubt this will happen as only 4 out of the 12 Symbian^1 devices will benefit from this and as Symbian^3 has native graphics accelerator I doubt that Opera will do this, but I want them to. It scores 72/300 which is about one third (Google Chrome scores about two thirds) but considering it is a beta and some of the HTML5 features cannot be used on mobile devices such as drag & drop the future looks promising. The Beta does not replace Opera Mobile 10 when installed and so both versions can be installed and executed simultaneously.

The main new features include:
Geolocation. Web sites can now query the location of your device. End user controls access on a site by site basis.
Carakan JavaScript engine (w/o JIT)
Vega graphics library
Update of Opera Core and numerous bug fixes

Known issues in the 10.1 Beta:
Somewhat higher memory usage, especially on JavaScript intensive sites
Due to timing issues with different geolocation information providers (WiFi, cell towers, GPS) first request may have poor precision
Fast scrolling on Touch devices not optimized for page rendering
Opera Link may not work when using APN with a proxy configured
Some SVGT images may appear to freeze on Nokia E-series phones
If SIM card is not registered, or phone is in flight mode, first geolocation request in a browser session may fail

International

With Asian language support

I want to bring attention to it, to try and explain why the Sony Ericsson Symbian platform is doomed.

Don't get me wrong the Sony Ericsson Satio, Vivaz & Vivaz Pro have very good hardware, unfortunately the lack of developer support from Sony Ericsson is a very big reason whey these devices are not being used to their potential. It is not Symbian^1's limitations but Sony Ericsson's poor support. The application debugging tool APPTrk was not signed and so was unavailable to developers (Unless you where a big company) until March 2010 (6 Months after the launch of the Satio). This discriminates against a small developer looking to make money out of mobile applications.

Another aspect to this is the PlayNow application store, PlayNow has very little applications because of Sony Ericsson's long aproval process and higher costs than the Nokia Ovi store. So considering the Ovi Store will produce more revenue and has less set up costs, most developer skip PlayNow and go straight to the Ovi Store.

QT Mobility is yet to be signed by Sony Ericsson which means that developers cannot release any QT applications even if they wanted to, similar to the AppTrk problem, except Qt applications cannot run on an end users device even when signed as the QT libraries are not present. I made a post asking about this issue on the Sony Ericsson Developer, unfortunately I received no replies and then my post was deleted by that forum's admin for an unknown reason.

The Sony Ericsson developer forum is also a joke, where developers have to help other developers opposed to SE developer support doing so.

Finally, a complete SDK is not provided and developer must go to multiple sources to build a completely running SDK. The Imagination technologies site for the graphics accelerators libraries, forum.nokia for the base SDK and the SE site for drivers and appTRK. Some may argue that a developer is not a developer if these tasks cannot be solved but it also repels developers from looking at the platform.

These above reasons are some of many reasons why only about 5 applications have been made especially for Sony Ericsson's Symbian devices: Skype, Rally Master Pro, Equalizer, Labyrinth and Phone Torch.

Images must be 48*48 pixels.

The UID's that I have given are only the Symbian OS apps, if you want to find an App's UID you must open the SIS file with SIS Contents to get the UID.

Since custom roms are not possible, I decided to try and map everything to C:/ . Unfortunately, it was unsuccesful and my phone booted up to the Omnia HD wallpaper wbut I could not open the menu to run X-Plore. I did not want to do a hard reset as I would lose my personal data which I forgot to backup lol. Luckily I had my bluetooth on and so I edited X-Plore & RomPatcher+ to run after installation. Sent them via bluetooth, installed, ran and finally deleted the copied files. I have attached these files for any developer who is faced with my situation, just sign and enjoy.
