This is my little camp #1 :

After sufficiently burning myself even in the shade WITH clothes on and catching a few waves. . . I had a joiner show up at camp: Mr. Clint Goode found his way to camp with directions that basically entailed “Look for the donkies and a strange hobbit tree”

We did a shop and I got to “sample” beer at Costco. . . love Mexico.

Then I had another joiner arrive:

And then there were three:

Two other friends showed up and camped just a few hundred feet from our little camp- we had a nice dinner together after they had set up: Shelly and Jim + Clint, Camila, and me.

Then we shopped as we new yet a couple more were on their way:

and so, along came Dani Sirkel:

and then there were four:

Along with four came a pretty awesome adventure:

We went “beach hopping” until we adventured our way to a fresh water river with water falls and pools to bath in… such an amazing little hidden oasis in the middle of a dry and prickly desert.

Then our last to arrive finally showed: Miss Lee Ann Porter

And so… now there were five…..

…and a booze cruise:

We also picked up a new rad Mexican friend: Noel Nieto

he was AWESOME enough to let us stay at his house for the night after our booze cruise! Thanks Noel!

The surf was great pretty much the entire 3 1/2 weeks that I was down there. . .

… but I had lots of friends on the beach to eat & surf with!

Can’t wait to go back. . . my feet are ready for sand again.

Of course decided that on my way up to BC I should stop and say hello to old roomy and hound: Brianne and Tobie. . . It was also a privilege to see Radiohead on my way through Seattle as well. . . first show on the King of Limbs tour. . . hoping that it’s not my last. . . ?

Sorry… went a little nuts with the shots. .  . every moment at their show is a work of art though. . .

Then got to BC and drove straight to Pemberton & Dirt. . . and parked my truck in front of his house for the next 10 days:

it’s a little like coming home when I get to be up there. .  . most amazing group of people ever:

Let’s not forget about those in Whistler as well. . . Smith team got to have a night out in the village starting at Sushi Village:

I got to tie dye t-shirts, shoot guns, and canoe. . . what more could I ask for?

Every time I leave BC I wonder why I don’t just try to set up camp there and stay…. forever.

… and drink all the kitty I want.

Julian went as my date to Powder Magazine’s 40th Anniversary Powder Prom in Sun Valley, ID. I HAD A BLAST!

Due to the BEST RALLY IN THE HISTORY OF RALLIES BY MISS ELYSE SAUGSTAD  (I called her at 10 pm upon arrival in Sun Valley and she was on a plane with her friend Amie within 6 hours of talking to her!!) I had the privilege…. nay the PLEASURE to meet Miss Amie Engerbretson, Mr. Mike Rogge and Mr. John Clary Davies at this grand event. The event might have even been extended due to bottomless mimosas with this crew….

(even did some party-rocking while we were all together)
