When guests arrived at Jackson’s Bar Mitzvah the selfie opportunities were endless. Cocktail hour centered around Jacksons’s 13 Rooms, each room full of some of Jackson’s favorite things. The candy room was one of my favorites! After being carried in by some of his closest friends, Jackson and his family spent the evening on the dance floor. Wishing Amy, Stuart, Jackson, and Jules a big mazel tov!

Photographing a B’nai Mitzvah presents the lovely opportunity to capture images of a set of twins celebrating their big day together. But it is also each child’s individual chance to shine. I make sure to get beautiful images of each mitzvah child with their sibling, and on their own. Sasha and Gabby made this easy and were a pleasure to photograph.

Asher’s Bar Mitzvah – The Ballroom, Bethesda, Md.

Asher rocked the most stylish tux and fabulous shoes I have ever seen on a Bar Mitzvah boy. Asher’s 2020 theme was decided years ago when Asher realized his Bar Mitzvah would fall just after the turn of the decade. While many kids change there minds a million times when it comes to their theme and decor, Asher’s creative idea stood the test of time and was incredibly well executed with each adult table named after a decade and each centerpiece depicting a famous invention from that time.

Asher’s mom put an incredible amount of thought into every last detail of Asher’s Bar Mitzvah Bash. From her technicolor sequined gown (a homage to Asher’s torah portion), right down to the sparkling cider toast, custom montage, and over the top milkshakes. While the details were outstanding, what made the evening truly special was the love in the room for Asher. The emotion felt during his montage and energy on the dance floor were a testament to how many people adore this sweet kiddo. Mazel tov Tamara and Asher!

Lindsey and Sam celebrated their B’nai Mitzvah at Temple Sinai. At the start of our session their lovely mom told them, in the most heartfelt and kind way, that they would always look back on these photos and that we would have the best time during our session. Sophie’s Bat Mitzvah Party – Washington, D.C.

With her best friend by her side, Sophie danced all night at her Bat Mitzvah. Custom artwork stopped guests in their tracks as they entered Sophie’s party at Teddy and the Bully Bar. Glitter face paint, a photo booth and dance floor games kept kids entertained while adults enjoyed a quiet dinner. Everyone met back up on the dance floor for a surprise father/daughter dance to the Michigan fight song and the hora. Mazel tov to Carolyn, Adam, Sophie, and Jonah!
