The MV Agusta F4 was the motorcycle that launched the resurrection of MV Agusta in 1998. The F4 was created by famous motorcycle designer Massimo Tamburini at CRC (Cagiva Research Center), following his work on the Ducati 916. The F4 is unique with its four pipe undertail exhaust, single-sided swingarm, large front forks (49 or 50 mm diameter) and traditional MV Agusta red and silver livery. The F4 is also one of the few production superbikes to have hemispherical chamber 4 valves per cylinder engine.

The F4 engine is a liquid cooled inline four cylinder (4-stroke) with two overhead camshafts (DOHC), 16 radial valves, electronic multipoint injection, induction discharge electronic ignition and following capacity variants: 749.5 cc, 998 cc and 1078 cc. The engine was derived from the 1990–1992 Ferrari Formula One engine. Early in the design process Ferrari engineers assisted in the development of the engine. MV (Cagiva at the time) quickly deviated from the Ferrari design, but they kept one important feature, the radial valves. The F4 engine is unique in the sense that it is the only radial valved motorcycle engine currently in production.

Let us Discuss the Various Versions of the F4 Series :

F4 750 Serie Oro

The first F4 model released to the public was the F4 750 Serie Oro on May 1999. Only 300 examples were produced. Many parts such as the swingarm, frame side plates and wheels were made from magnesium. These magnesium parts were anodized gold for consistency with the name 'Oro' (Italian for gold). All painted parts, such as fairings, seat cover, front mud guard and even the fuel tank and air box are made of carbon. It's only by using these materials that the weight could be kept under 400 lb which is only beaten by the F4 Veltro. The specially for MV Agusta developed Showa fork has fast detach axle clamps. The six piston (front) and 4 piston (rear) brake calipers are made from Nissin. MSRP $57,000

F4 750 S

The mass production model, the F4 750 S (S = "Strada"), was released in 1999, and was essentially the same bike as the F4 750 Oro but with aluminium pieces in place of magnesium. Both of these bikes produced 126 hp (94 kW) 101.78 rear horsepower, with a 13300 rpm redline. Top speed is estimated at 170 mph (273 km/h) @ 12800 rpm, 0–100 km/h estimated at 3.1 seconds, quarter mile 10.98 seconds @ 131 mph (211 km/h). The F4 750 uses a 49 mm Showa front fork and Sachs rear suspension. MSRP $18,895.

The F4 750 also comes in a 1+1 (Biposto) model, which has a pillion for a passenger.

F4 750 Senna

The F4 750 Senna was also released in 2002 along with the Evo 02 model 0-60 2.9 quarter mile 10.7 @ 135. Built purely to raise money for the Instituto Ayrton Senna, a charity founded by Ayrton Senna to aid the children and young people of Brazil, the Senna was a limited production run of 300 bikes like the Oro. The Senna shared the 136 hp (101 kW) engine of the Evo 02 but with a higher redline of13900 rpm, and top speed estimated at 175 mph (282 km/h) @ 12750 rpm . The Senna also had some suspension upgrades and some carbon fiber bodywork. MSRP $24,995.

F4 750 SPR and SR

The F4 750 SPR was released in 2004 and was intended to be the final evolution on the F4 750 platform. It had an improved 146 hp (109 kW) engine, (13,900 rpm redline, polished ports, HC pistons), matte grey race livery, some carbon fiber bodywork (front fender, chain guards, air ducts covers) and a Marzzochi 50 mm fork. The F4 750 SR was released after the SPR, and used the same frame an F4S (Showa fork, no carbon parts), but the same engine of SPR version. Both the SPR and SR were limited production runs of 300 bikes. top speed estimated at 180+ mph 13,900, 0-100 umknow-+=/ quarter mile 10.4 @ 139 mph. The SR was released in the traditional red/silver livery of MV with a color coordinated red front fender and a bronze Arrow exhaust system. It also has a white gauge face, different from the standard yellow, which displays Agostini's signature in red. It also has the signature silver star rims and SR plate placed on the steering head.

F4 AGO

Like the F4 750 and the Oro, the new F4 1000 product line began with a special edition F4 1000 called the F4 AGO in 2005. The F4 AGO came with a special graphics prominently displaying the number "1" in a yellow oval in reference to MV Agusta's racing heritage and driver Giacomo Agostini. Only 300 bikes were produced.

F4 1000 S

The first mass produced F4 1000, the F4 1000 S, was released in 2005 and came with a 166 horsepower (122 kW) engine 142 rear horsepower. The F4 1000 S comes equipped with a 50 mm Marzocchi front upside down fork and Sachs rear suspension. A 1+1 version adds a pillion for a passenger. Expect 0-60 in 2.7 seconds, the quarter mile in 9.95 seconds @ 144 mph, and a top speed estimated at 300 km/h (190 mph).

F4 Tamburini

MV Agusta F4 1000 Tamburini

The F4 Tamburini is a special edition of the F4 1000 S released in 2005. It was the first F4 to be equipped with the Torque Shift System (TSS), which varies the length of the intake trumpets with speed in order to provide optimum torque at low and high engine speeds. Engine output was a claimed 128 kilowatts (172 hp) and claimed top speed was 190.6 mph (306.7 km/h). It was sold for over US$ 42 thousand and only 300 were produced. The bike is named after its designer Massimo Tamburini.

F4 1000 R

The second mass produced F4 1000, the F4 1000 R, was released in 2006 and came with a 174 horsepower (128 kW) engine . The F4 1000 R also has upgraded Brembo Monobloc radial brakes, forged black Brembo wheels, a carbon-nitride coated Marzocchi upside down fork and an upgraded Sachs rear shock absorber (compression & rebound damping adjustable in high & low speed range). The F4 1000 R engine does not utilize the TSS system. A 1+1 (Biposto) version is available that adds a pillion for a passenger. In August 2006 an F4 1000 R was used to set a record for the fastest production class 1000 cc motorcycle of over 185.882 mph (299.148 km/h) at Bonneville Salt Flats.

F4 1000 Senna

MV Agusta F4 1000 Senna

The F4 1000 Senna is a special edition of the F4 1000 R released in 2006. It is similar to the 2002 F4 750 Senna in spirit, but has some changes to the paint scheme and an alcantara seat. This model comes with the 174 horsepower (128 kW) engine and has also the upgraded BremboMonobloc radial brakes, forged silver Brembo wheels, a 50 mm titanium-nitride coated Marzocchi upside down fork and a lightweight Sachs racing rear suspension (in high & low speed range adjustable rebound and compression damping). Only 300 were produced.

F4 Veltro

MV Agusta F4 Veltro Strada

The F4 Veltro comes in two models, the F4 Veltro Strada (road) and F4 Veltro Pista (race). Ninety-nine examples of the Strada were produced, as well as 23 examples of the Pista. As is standard for a race modified motorcycle, the Pista is not equipped with headlights. The Veltro models engines feature the TSS system originally found on the F4 Tamburini. These are considered by many to be the most race-oriented F4's available.

The Veltro Strada is equipped with a full complement of carbon fiber (fairings, tail, airbox, mud guards, fenders, air ducts, heat shield) and magnesium frame plates.

In addition to the parts found on the Veltro Strada, the Veltro Pista is equipped with a lightened frame, oversized radiator, carbon fiber fuel tank, and a magnesium triple clamp and swingarm.

F4 R 312

MV Agusta F4 1000 R 312

This is a new model F4 released in late 2007. It is identical to the F4 1000 R except for a slightly more powerful engine (+9 hp for 183 hp (136 kW) or 134 kW total, 115 N·m torque) with 30 mm titanium intake valves, modified camshafts and 48 mm throttle bodies. F4 R 312 name is a reference to the bikes claimed top speed of 312 km/h (194 mph) making it the fastest production bike at the time. In August 2007, the 312R set the new Land Speed Record at Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah for the fastest Production Motorcycle in the world, averaging 311.53 km/h, over the long course, which is 7 miles (11.3 km) long. The top speed achieved during the run was over 314 km/h, which was achieved at mile marker number 4. The speed record is determined by averaging the speed of the entire length of the course.

F4 CC

The F4 CC, named after Claudio Castiglioni, the Managing Director of MV Agusta, was released in late 2006. The F4 CC has 147 kW (200 crank horsepower) and has a price tag of 100,000 €. The engine is a 1,078 cc big bore edition with valves, crank and piston rods made from titanium based on the F4 1000 R engine combined with the TSS (Torque Shift System). Honda Unicorn's 1st Birthday !!!!

This is my First bike...

its not that this was actually the first bike i drove.......but, officially this bike was gifted by my dad to me n only for me.

We got the bike Delivered on 4th Feb 2010 at our house.

Before that...........

We had booked it in Mid-December 2009.

The Dealer said that the bike was selling like hot-cakes, and it will take almost 4 months for the bike to be delivered to us.

But, due to my constant call up to the showroom must have made the dealer go Crazy, and he delivered the bike in just 40 days !!!! ha ha ha....

But, seriously, between those days, i was only thinking of which color of the bike should be, whether it should have a 3D logo, or with the Graphics....blah blah blah....all sorts of things were in my mind and i decided that it should be Black in color and with a 3D Winged Logo.

But, finally on 4th Feb, when the bike was in my Door Step, i was literally drooling over for hours on my Brand New CB150 HONDA UNICORN !!!!!

yessss...it was my Dream come true......

I have driven it in all sorts of roads n all sorts of weather conditions.

My dad sometimes take it to My Native place at Pune, almost 200kms here from Mumbai.

and the Best part is......My bike never says NO !!!!

Wherever u wanted to go....it would just make sure that u would reach there with ease n Comfort.

My friends say, its just a normal Commuter bike, you should have opted for the hottest 150cc sport bikes in the Market such as the Yamaha FZ and the TVS Apache RTR 160.

But, i always had a trust on Honda's.

Maybe becoz i learned driving on the Hero Honda Splendor, and so on....

i just liked the Refinement the Honda Bikes provided during the travel....

not a sound from the engine...thats what i liked very much.

and so, even after a whole 1 year, my Bike is still going strong (thanks to the Better Servicing's here by Honda's), and more......has become MY BEST FRIEND now.....!!!

Porsche 918 RSR

Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is continuing to extend its performance and high efficiency competence via intensive development work in the field of hybrid technology. With the Porsche 918 RSR, the manufacturer of sporty premium vehicles is presenting a high-end synthesis of 2010's successful hybrid concepts. The two-seater mid-engine coupé 918 RSR clearly reveals what happens when the technology fitted in the 911 GT3 R hybrid and the design of the 918 Spyder are transferred to a modern, innovative super sports car.

With its highly-efficient flywheel accumulator, the 911 GT3 R hybrid racing car proved to be an attention magnet during competition racing on the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit, during the American Le Mans Series races (ALMS) in Road Atlanta/USA and the ILMC run in China's Zhuhai. It demonstrated its massive performance potential under realistic motor racing conditions against top competitors. The 911 GT3 R Hybrid, referred to internally as the "Race Lab" actually surpassed the high expectations of Porsche Motorsport. Competitiveness, high reliability and exemplary fuel efficiency combined with top performance underscored the Porsche technicians' basic idea of generating additional power in an intelligent manner. The 911 GT3 R Hybrid obtains its additional power from its own vehicle dynamics when braking. Porsche is now transplanting this technology into the mid-engine coupé Porsche 918 RSR, the motor sports version of the 918 Spyder concept car.

From the tradition established by classic Porsche long-distance race cars such as the 908 long-tale coupé (1969) and the 917 short-tail coupé (1971), the Porsche designers created a link to the postmodernism of the "form follows function" philosophy. In the Porsche 918 RSR, the lines' elegant flow is dominated by muscular wheel arches, dynamic air intakes and a pulpit-like cockpit. A visible fan wheel between the ram air intake tubes and a rear spoiler with RS Spyder dimensions additionally emphasise the racing laboratory function. The new "liquid metal chrome blue" colour which has been created underscores the sculptured curves of the forms, whilst the typical Porsche hybrid orange colour on brake calipers and the body's longitudinal stripes lends remarkable touches.

Motor racing technology also dominates within the particularly light, torsionally stiff carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) monocoque. The V8 engine is a further development of the direct injection engine from the successful RS Spyder race car and now offers an output of precisely 563 hp at 10,300/rpm in the 918 RSR. The electric motors on the two front wheels each contribute 75 kW, i.e. a total of 150 kW, to the peak drive power of exactly 767 hp. This additional power, which is generated during braking, is stored in an optimised flywheel accumulator.

In the Porsche 918 RSR, the two electric motors offer a torque vectoring function with variable torque distribution to the front axle. This additionally increases agility and improves steering response. Mounted upstream of the rear axle, the mid-engine is integrated with a racing transmission also based on the RS Spyder race car. This further developed six-speed constant-mesh transmission with longitudinally mounted shafts and straight-toothed spur gears is operated using two shift paddles behind the racing steering wheel.

The vehicle's functional equipment underscores its puristic motor racing character. Whether it be the characteristic doors which open obliquely upwards, the air intake in the roof between the wing doors, the quick-action locks on the front and rear CFRP lids, the two roof-mounted aerials for pit radio and telemetry, the RS Spyder-like small, lateral front flics or the air splitters beneath the front lip or no-profile racing slicks on 19" wheels with central locking, the vehicle can be clearly recognised as an experimental racing laboratory.

In contrast to the 918 Spyder concept car, unadorned racing atmosphere predominates in the interior of the Porsche 918 RSR. The figure-hugging bucket seat's brown leather covering cites the history of the gentleman driver; the gear flashes on the racing steering wheel and a recuperation display on the steering column in front of the display screen supply the pilot with information. Instead of the futuristic, ergonomically avant-garde centre console with touch-sensitive user interface from the 918 Spyder concept car, the 918 RSR's cockpit is split by a minimalistic console with rocker switches. Instead of a second seat, the flywheel accumulator is positioned to the right of the console.

This flywheel accumulator is an electric motor whose rotor rotates at up to 36,000 rpm to store rotation energy. Charging occurs when the two electric motors on the front axle reverse their function during braking processes and operate as generators. At the push of a button, the pilot is able to call up the energy stored in the charged flywheel accumulator and use it during acceleration or overtaking manoeuvres. The flywheel is braked electromagnetically in this case in order to additionally supply up to 2 x 75 kW, i.e. a total of 150 kW, from its kinetic energy to the two electric motors on the front axle.

This additional power is available for around eight seconds when the system is fully charged. In the successful 911 GTR Hybrid this additional power can also be used as a consumption aid depending on the racing situation, e.g. to delay pit stops or reduce the fuel tank volume and therefore the weight of the vehicle.
With the new Porsche 918 RSR racing laboratory, Porsche is now elevating this motor racing hybrid concept to an experimental level. In the 918 RSR, "Porsche Intelligent Performance" equates to research into methods for further sustainable efficiency improvement under the intensified conditions of the race track, lap times, pit stops and reliability - a metier in which Porsche has been demonstrating its success for over 60 years.

Back in the days when overall victories in Le Mans were not yet an entirely routine matter within the Porsche racing department, the pilots Dr. Helmut Marko and Gijs van Lennep were the first to cross the finishing line in 1971's 24-hour classic. The distance record set by their Porsche 917 short-tail coupé - 5335.313 kilometres (3315.21 miles) at an average speed of 222.304 km/h (138.13 mph) - did not remain unbeaten for an eternity, but for exactly 39 years until 2010. At the time, the 917 in the Martini colours was also an experiment and far ahead of its time: a magnesium space frame set new standards in Porsche's lightweight construction domain.

The Viper was conceived as a historical take on the classic American sports car. The iconic AC Cobra was a source of inspiration, and the final version of the Viper bears this out with its powerful engine, minimalist straightforward design, muscular and aggressive styling, and high performances. Outrageous proportions: a long bonnet, narrow-look windows with frameless side windows, dynamic roof sweeping back at an angle towards the rear. In 2003 the four-door Coupé was born: and the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class immediately established itself as a new style icon. The proportions have stayed the same - and yet everything is different: the second generation of this design trendsetter has adopted a completely new look.

What immediately strikes the eye is the innovative front design, which is reminiscent of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. Visually, the radiator grille is not integrated into the bonnet but is formed separately. This highlights the long, sporty bonnet even further. The grille is dominated by the large central star, which underlines the car's relationship to the other coupés of the brand and strengthens the brand identity. The large, elongated dark air inlets with black grilles also add to the vehicle's athletic appearance.

Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class (2012)

The typical Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class outline, with its elegantly long proportions, is the dominating attribute of the new model. The effect of the dynamic, athletic form has been enhanced with a new interplay of lines and areas. The front edge of the structure above the wings slopes off towards the rear. This novel design feature, called the dropping line by designers, represents a new interpretation of a formal design element harking back to the uniquely rich wealth of forms present in historic Mercedes sports cars.
A distinctive and muscular sports car-like shoulder line above the rear axle highlights the athletic character of the new CLS. The flared wheel arches resemble the powerful thighs of a feline predator waiting to pounce.
The side view is rounded off with wide wrap-around tail lights featuring LED technology which are arranged in the form of a linking element to the rear of the vehicle. The shape is emphasized by the broad shoulder line, which is clearly visible from behind and supports the flat hardtop. A wide metal insert adds a further visual highlight at the rear.

Riding the motorcycle is said to be somewhat tricky due to the inherent throttle lag in the engine, acceleration when letting off the throttle, and extreme length.

     The engines used in the motorcycles are second-hand, having reached the FAA running time limit, after which they have to be rebuilt, regardless of condition. MTT can buy these engines for a much lower price than new engines and use them on surface vehicles without requiring FAA approval. To get around the problem of procuring the kerosene usually used in turbine engines, the engine of the bike is also able to use Diesel fuel, or even Jet A fuel.

     In addition to the engine, there are other innovations incorporated into this bike, such as radar detector with laser scrambler, rear-mounted camera with LCD display, and an optional passenger seat. Unlike other contemporary motorcycles (such as the Hayabusa), the 2001 and later models of the MTT Turbine SUPERBIKE do not have the 300 km/h speed limiting governors self-imposed by Japanese manufacturers.

     In 2008, Marine Turbine Technologies Inc. released the "Streetfighter," another jet-bike with a more powerful 420-horsepower (310 kW) engine.

Ford Mustang

   The Ford Mustang is manufactured by the Ford Motor Company. It was initially based on the second generation North American Ford Falcon, a compact car. Introduced early on April 17, 1964, the 1965 Mustang is the automaker's most successful launch since the Model A.

The Mustang created the "pony car" class of American automobile — sports car-like coupes with long hoods and short rear decks — and gave rise to competitors such as GM's Chevrolet Camaro, AMC's Javelin, and Chrysler's revamped Plymouth Barracuda. It also inspired coupés such as the Toyota Celica and Ford Capri, which were imported to America.

     The current fifth-generation Mustang is manufactured at the Auto Alliance International plant in Flat Rock, Michigan. The base model is powered by a 210 hp (157 kW) cast-iron block 4.0 L SOHC V6, which replaces the 3.8 L pushrod V6 used previously. The Mustang GT features an aluminum block 4.6 L SOHC 3-valve Modular V8 with variable camshaft timing (VCT) that produces 300 hp (224 kW). The 2005 Mustang GT has an approximate weight to power ratio of 11.5 lb (5.2 kg)/bhp. The base Mustang comes with a standard Tremec T-5 5-speed manual transmission while Ford's own 5R55S 5-speed automatic, a Mustang first, is optional. Though the Mustang GT features the same automatic transmission as the V6 model, the Tremec T-5 manual is substituted with the heavier duty Tremec TR-3650 5-speed manual transmission to better handle the GT's extra power.

A new option for the 2009 Mustang was the glass roof. This $1,995 option is in effect a full roof sunroof that splits the difference in price and purpose of the coupe and convertible models.

     For 2010, Ford unveiled a redesigned Mustang prior to the Los Angeles International Auto Show. The 2010 Mustang remains on the D2C platform and mostly retains the previous-year's drivetrain options. The Mustang received a thoroughly revised exterior, with only the roof panel being retained, that is sculpted for a leaner, more muscular appearance and better aerodynamic performance (coefficient of drag has been reduced by 4% on V6 models and 7% on GT models).

     For 2011, Ford is revising all the current model Mustang's engines. The new V6 will be a smaller 3.7 L aluminum block engine weighing 40 lb (18 kg) lighter than the outgoing version, and produces a much more powerful 305 hp (227 kW) and 280 lb·ft (380 N·m) of torque. The current 4.6L 24V V8 will be replaced by a new 5.0L 32V V8. This new engine will have 412 hp (307 kW) and 390 lb·ft (530 N·m) of torque. The engines will feature advance technologies such as TI-VCT; however direct injection will not be part of the package. The GT500 will be upgraded to a aluminum block 5.4L engine, with 550 hp (410 kW) and 510 lb·ft (690 N·m) of torque.

     The V6, featuring a die-cast aluminum engine block, boasts 305 horsepower and 31 mpg in the city. The 5.0L V8, featuring an aluminum block, pumps out 412 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. All engines are mated to six-speed transmissions.

If you're searching for the most extreme version of the 'Godzilla', look no further than to the Le Mans Edition that marks its return on the GT-R R35. Japan's Best Car magazine has learned from inside sources that along with the development of a Le Mans competition car, Nissan is also working on a street-legal version of the GT-R which will be named LM Edition and will be built in an extremely limited number of units.

This won't be the first time that the GT-R will gain an LM edition as in the late-1990's Nissan had marketed a limited production Skyline GT-R R33 referred to as "LM Limited" which was only available in a Competition Blue finish. The vehicle was built to honor the Skyline's that took part in the 24-hours of Le Mans.

Even though official information is still scarce, sources state that the GT-R LM Edition will be powered by a modified version of the standard car's 480HP 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine producing a whopping 600HP. If the base-model is considered to be one of the fastest cars around, we can only imagine what the LM Edition will be like.

Understandably, the GT-R LM Edition will feature an array of upgrades including larger brakes, lighter alloy wheels, suspension and transmission tweaks as well as aerodynamic improvements through the use of a new bodykit.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is a luxury grand tourer automobile developed by Mercedes-Benz AMG to replace the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. The car is the first Mercedes automobile designed in-house by AMG and is described by Mercedes as a spiritual successor to the 300SL Gullwing. The vehicle was unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show.

The SLS AMG is designed to be a modern 300SL Gullwing revival. The car has a long bonnet, the passenger compartment is close to the rear axle and the rear of the car is short. The SLS AMG will also adapt the feature of wing doors that will swing open upwards on gas struts, not in a mix of upwards and forward like the SLR. The doors must be closed manually as AMG engineers decided against auto-closing systems because the systems would have added 90 pounds (41 kg) to the car. In case of a roll-over, the doors can be fully detached to allow the occupants to leave the vehicle. The designer is Gordon Wagener whose family once had a 300SL.

Lamborghini Reventon

The Lamborghini Reventón is a mid-engined sports car that debuted at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. It ranks as one of the most powerful and expensive Lamborghini road cars to date, costing one million euros (US$1.5 million). The official press release stated that only 20 vehicles would be released to the public, with one additional car (marked as 0/20) produced for the Lamborghini Museum. Although early rumours indicated the total number would actually be 100.

Despite the exterior being new, almost all the mechanical elements (including the engine) are sourced directly from the Murciélago LP640. According to the official press release, the Reventón exterior styling was inspired by the "the fastest airplanes". To emphasize this, Lamborghini staged a race between a Reventón and a Panavia Tornado fighter plane.

The Reventón is named for a fighting bull, in line with Lamborghini tradition. The bull, raised by the Don Heriberto Rodríguez family, was best known for killing famed Mexican bullfighter Félix Guzmán in 1943. Reventón means "explosion" or "burst" in Spanish.

The Reventón's engine was a slightly tuned version of the Murciélago LP640's 6.5 L V-12, rated at 640 hp (480 kW). According to the official release, the Reventón accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in the same time as the Murciélago LP640 (3.4 seconds), and is capable of reaching a maximum speed of over 340 km/h (210 mph). Using the internal speedometer, the recorded top speed was displayed as 356 km/h (221 mph).

The Reventón features an all-new carbon fiber exterior. All Reventóns have the same exterior color, described as "mid opaque grey without the usual shine". Lamborghini has also picked up some of parent company Audi's design language. It is the first Lamborghini to incorporate daylight running lights into the headlamps. Seven Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) at each headlamp flank the bi-Xenon main beam and stay lit whenever the car is in movement. Due to the high temperatures in the rear lower part of the car, special heatproof LEDs are used for the indicator and hazard lights, stoplights and rear lights with a triple arrow optical effect.

Reventón Roadster:

A roadster version of the vehicle was unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. Cars UK reported the production of 9 Lamborghini Reventón Roadsters, with a MSRP of €1,200,000. The car would use the engine from the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce. Autocar has since published a report, in July 2009, saying that potential buyers have been shown the car - although a Lamborghini spokesman told the publication that reports of the car were "just speculation". Production was set for a run of 20 units, with a Max.Price of €1,100,000.

   The Audi R8 is a sports car with a longitudinally mounted mid-engine and uses Audi's 'trademark' quattro permanent 4-wheel drive system. It was introduced by the German automaker AUDI in 2006. The car was exclusively designed, developed, and manufactured by AUDI's high performance private subsidiary company, quattro GmbH, and is similar to the Lamborghini Gallardo.
     In 2005, Audi announced that the name of the successful Audi R8 race car would be used for a new road car in 2007, the Audi R8, based on the Audi Le Mans quattro concept car, appearing at the 2003 International Geneva Motor Show, and 2003 Frankfurt International Motor Show. The R8 road car was officially launched at the Paris Auto Show on 30 September 2006. The Audi R8 is used as a safety car in Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and British Superbike Championship racing series.

The Audi R8 was initially equipped with a 4.2 litre V8 internal combustion engine.

But, later AUDI unveiled the Audi R8 V10 on 9 December 2008. It uses a 5.2 litre FSI Internal Combustion Engine based on the unit in the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 (which in turn was based on the 5.2 FSI V10 as used in the Audi C6 S6 and Audi D3 S8).

The changes to the V10 version of the R8 include some aesthetic differences

such as all LED headlights (a world-first), interior enhancements such as

Bang & Olufsen 465 watt sound system, and a more aggressive body

styling, larger rear brakes and unique rims.

Audi R8 V10 was used in 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans race as a safety car. The car costs around £103,000 and goes from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, it's top speed is 197 miles per hour (317 kilometres per hour). It is powered by a Lamborghini 5.2 FSI V10 giving the Audi R8 518 bhp. When tested on Top Gear the Stig took it round the test track in 1 minute 21.6 seconds, faster than a Ferrari F430 (1.22.9) and the Corvette ZO6 (1.22.4). They said that the Audi R8 V10 was "a real driver's car" and that "its handling is epic"

We’ve heard it since the 9/11 attacks.

The management seems to have woken up and is bent on broadening its product line-up in India, and the Evo will form the niche end of the queue.

The Evo X will check into India via the CBU route. It will be priced between 27-30 lakh rupees. The term budget performance car is relevant to few models like the GT-R, and the Mitsubishi Evolution features on that register

The 2.0-liter turbocharged 300bhp engine (don’t ask for diesel, just don’t) will snap a few necks as it scampers to the 100kph mark in five seconds. Mitsubishi is looking at selling 100 units a year in India.

The USP of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X will be its rugged engine and smooth driving experience, rather than exterior looks. The car is a four-door, five-seater one, which is run by a 2-litre engine that gives out 295 bhp power (in other words, more powerful than the 3-litre engine). It has an aluminum engine block under the hood, which makes it pretty lightweight. To add on to the experience of driving Lancer Evolution X, Mitsubishi has fitted it with a four-wheel drive (4WD) option also.

Toyota Supra...the Drift King in a new Avatar..

Toyota's "21st century sports car" concept has gossips talking about a new Supra. Is that big sports coupe about to be reborn as a mean-and-green hybrid? Right now, the odds are better than even.

Gossips love concept vehicles, especially those that seem to belong in showrooms already. Take the Toyota FT-HS. Unveiled at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show as a "21st-century sports car," it reminded some of Toyota's well-liked Supra. And why not? It's another high-style sporty coupe with rear-wheel drive, a six-cylinder engine, and seating for four. Obviously, a new Supra was on the way, and with gas/electric power to boot. After all, FT-HS stands for "Future Toyota-Hybrid Sport."Even if the oddsmakers are right, there's still the question of how much of the concept design could be retained for a "mid-price sports/GT." For example, the FT-HS powertrain assumes a 3.5-liter V6, familia r from many current Toyotas , but also a new Hybrid Synergy Drive that has yet to be developed. Toyota says the concept has a total 400 net horsepower, good for 0-60 mph in around four seconds, but has yet to project fuel economy or emissions ratings, except to say that both would be really good.

But concepts are expected to have way-out features--it's all about the buzz, you know--and Toyota doesn't do these exercises just for fun. We imagine the FT-HS is already being adapted for retail sale wearing the Supra badge.

A Notable Feature of the 2010 Toyota Supra
The FT-HS uses a carbon-fiber beam to divide the cockpit left and right. Toyota says it enhances structural rigidity, but it also lends what designers call a "skeletal" appearance. Another novelty is a power-operated carbon/Kevlar roof panel that pivots to stow in the rear-seat area. Nodding to Ferrari and Porsche are a see-through hood panel to show off the front-mounted engine and a rear spoiler that powers up at higher speeds to enhance stability. The spoiler idea would almost certainly survive on a new Supra, but the other features seem questionable because of cost and/or practicality. We'll see what Toyota delivers.

Triumph Rocket III

The Triumph Rocket III is a British motorcycle made by the Hinckley Triumph factory and has the largest displacement engine of any mass production motorcycle in the world (as of September 2008), at 2,294 cc (140.0 cu in). The shaft driven Rocket III produces 200 N·m (150 ft·lbf) @ 2,500 rpm and 140 bhp (100 kW) @ 6,000 rpm. Despite its size and weight of 704 lb (319 kg) dry, it is described as having good balance and "light and easy steering" even at low speeds.

Competition

Part of the reason for the secrecy was competition from other manufacturers. Yamaha launched the 1,670 cc (102 cu in) (badged as a 1,700 cc) engine in 2002 with the introduction of the Road Star Warrior and Honda launched the VTX1800, so a decision was made to go for a displacement of 2,294 cc to see off the competition.

Engine development

The first engine was built in summer 2002 and tested in the autumn. Twin butterfly valves for each throttle body were used to increase control and allow the ECU to vary the mixture flow and ignition map according to the gear selected and speed. The torque curve is modified for each gear ratio, enabling over 90% of the engine’s torque output at 2,000 rpm, giving the high levels of flexibility that the designers needed. The 1,500 W starter motor on the Rocket III puts out as much power as the engine on the very first Triumph motorcycle, Siegfried Bettman's 1902 1.75 horsepower (1.30 kW) single. When the development team were dyno testing the prototype engine it put out so much heat the whole exhaust system was glowing red.

Road testing

Road tests proved that the 0–60 mph (0 97 km/h) time was quicker than most sport bikes and the weight distribution, low centre of gravity and geometry made handling easy with acceleration up to 135 mph (217 km/h). In 2004, the Rocket III set the world land speed record for a production motorcycle over 2000 cc reaching its electronically set limiter of 140.3 mph (225.8 km/h).

After the successful launch of Hayabusa and Intruder in the super-bike category, Suzuki is planning to add another feather to its cap. It is likely to launch another third super bike in India called GSX R 1000 also known as Gixxer. The bike will be imported as CBU's (Completely Built Units) spurred by the success of Hayabusa and Intruder. It is expected to face the heat of tough competition from Honda CBR 1000RR and CB1000R. The GSX R 1000 is loaded with fuel injection system, six speed gear box and liquid cooled engine. It also features switchable ECU maps through which the rider can opt for the full power ride or low performance ride depending on the tarmac conditions.

Engine
The main talking point for the 2009 Suzuki GSX-R 1000 is the re-worked engine which is designed to maximize the combustion efficiency for more torque and power at different rmp range. The new engine improves the throttle response while reducing exhaust emissions. It produces a maximum power of 136 Kw with the 120Nm torque. Like the other 2009 bikes, Suzuki GSX-R engine is also a tad shorten from front to rear with the short wheelbase stretching the swing arm for better traction on the race track. With the redesigned combustion chamber, the Suzuki engineers have increased the compression to 12.8:1 in comparison with the previous version's 12.5:1.
Like the 2009 Yamaha YZF R1, GSX-R also owns "Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS)" system which allows the rider to choose from three available fuel injections and ignition system maps to adjust power delivery according to the preference of the rider. The rider can easily select between the 3 available maps named as A, B and C through a button fixed on the left handle bar.

Design And Comfort
Suzuki GSX-R now sports a new aluminium swing arm which is thoughtfully designed to shelter the dual titanium mufflers lending a good look on each side of the bike. The bike also features fully floating 310mm drilled discs with race proven mono-block aluminium alloy front brake callipers. Now the newly chiselled fuel tank weighs lighter. The multi-reflector head light renders a new look with the beautifully placed halogen lamps sandwiched between position lights on each side. The rear indicators and brake LED are in sync with the seat cowls. The all new instrumentation cluster is centred around an analog tachometer framed by an elegant silver finish ring with an adjacent digital speedometer. The instrumentation panel now also features a programmable engine RPM indicator system marked by four LEDs. Even though the engine of the GSX-R is not as new as the Yamaha YZF R1 which boasts of cross-lane engine firing, the 2009 Suzuki GSX-R1000 is definitely a true racing machine.

Ride And Handling
The new GSX R1000 is a well made bike with the sophisticated features for better comfort and handling. The Steering Damper is controlled electronically by the ECM which monitors the motorcycle speed and adjusts to the required damping force. The Showa's new Big Piston Forks (BPF) combined with a new rear shock absorber offers high end feedback with reduced weight. The new lightweight mono-block radial calipers mated to fully-floating 310mm discs offers superb stopping power. Now this ballistic machine has got a sharper and more aerodynamic look. It corners well with great traction and acceleration. The seat is very comfortable and we needn't stretch too much to the bars. The bike is a good package from Suzuki which has many a contemporary feature such as Advanced Exhaust System with MotoGP inspired titanium exhausts, a well sculpted fuel tank, on-board lap timer and revised Suzuki Drive Mode Selector controls which again put the bike to another level of comfort ability and handling.

The Enzo Ferrari is a 12 cylinder mid-engine berlinetta named after the company's founder, Enzo Ferrari. It is currently one of the most powerful naturally aspirated production cars. It was built in 2002 using Formula One technology, such as a carbon-fibre body, F1-style electrohydraulic shift transmission, and Carbon fibre-reinforced Silicon Carbide (C/SiC) ceramic composite disc brakes. Also used are technologies not allowed in F1 such as active aerodynamics and traction control. After a downforce of 775 kg (1,709 lb) is reached at 355.6 km/h (221 mph) the rear wing is actuated by computer to maintain that downforce.

The Enzo's V12 engine is the first of a new generation for Ferrari. It is based on the architecture of the V8 found in sister-company Maserati's Quattroporte, using the same basic architecture and 104 mm (4.1 in) bore spacing. This design will replace the former architectures seen in V12 and V8 engines used in most other contemporary Ferraris. The 2005 F430 is the second Ferrari to get a version of this new powerplant.

In 2004, Sports Car International named the Enzo Ferrari number three on their list of Top Sports Cars of the 2000s.

Motor Trend Classic named the Enzo as number four in their list of the ten "Greatest Ferraris of all time".

Production

The Enzo was initially announced at the 2002 Paris Motor Show with a limited production run of 349 units and priced at US $643,330. The company sent invitations to existing customers, specifically, those who had previously bought the Ferrari F40 and Ferrari F50. All 349 cars were sold in this way before production began. Later, after numerous requests, Ferrari decided to build 50 more Enzos, bringing the total to 399. Before being unveiled at the Paris Motor show, the Enzo (that was used in the show) was flown from Italy to California to be filmed in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. It was driven on a beach by actress Demi Moore. After filming was complete, the Enzo was flown to France to be in the Motor Show. Enzos are listed as being built in 2003.

Ferrari built one more Enzo — the 400th car — and it was auctioned by Sotheby's Maranello Auction on June 28, 2005, to benefit survivors of the 2004 Tsunami for €950,000 (US$1,274,229), almost twice its list price. This sum was presented to Pope Benedict XVI, while former Ferrari Formula One driver Michael Schumacher gave the pope a steering wheel to commemorate the donation. This wheel included a plaque which read, "The Formula 1 World Champion's steering wheel to His Holiness Benedict XVI, Catholicism's driver."

The Enzo Ferrari typically trades above $1,000,000 (£500,000) at auction.

Three prototype "mules" were built, M1, M2, and M3. Each was bodied to look like a 348, even though the mules were built in 2000. The third mule was offered for auction alongside the 400th Enzo in June, 2005, bringing €195,500 (US$236,300).

The Enzo is a mid-engined car with a 43.9/56.1 front/rear weight distribution. The engine is Ferrari's F140 65° V12 with 4 valves per cylinder, dual overhead cams and variable valve timing. Bosch Motronic ME7 fuel injection is used and the engine is naturally aspirated. It displaces 5998 cc (366 in³) and produces 660 PS (651 hp/485 kW) at 7800 rpm and 657 N·m (485 [ft·lbf of torque]) at 5500 rpm. The redline is 8000 rpm.

Chassis:

The Enzo has a semi-automatic transmission (also known as the F1 gearbox) using paddles to control an automated shifting and clutch mechanism, with LED lights on the steering wheel telling the driver when to change gears. The gearbox has a shift time of just 150 milliseconds. The transmission was a first generation "clutchless" design from the late 1990s, and there have been complaints about its abrupt shifting.

The ¼ mile (~400 m) time is 11.0 at 136 mph (219 km/h) and the top speed is over 350.83 kilometers per hour (218 mph). It is rated at 12 miles per US gallon (20 L/100 km; 14 mpg-imp) in the city and 18 miles per US gallon (13 L/100 km; 22 mpg-imp) on the highway.

Despite the Enzo's extraordinary performance and price, the Ferrari 430 Scuderia (an improved version of Ferrari's current mid-range production car) is capable of lapping the Ferrari test track just as quickly as the Enzo.

Evo magazine tested the Enzo on the famed Nordschleife Circuit and ran a 7:25.21 lap time. The Enzo in the test had a broken electronic damper.

Street racing is a form of unsanctioned and illegal motor racing which takes place on public roads. Street racing can either be spontaneous or well-planned and coordinated. Well coordinated races, in comparison, are planned in advance and often have people communicating via 2-way radio/citizens' band radio and using police scanners and GPS units to mark locations of local police hot spots. Street racing is reported to have originated prior to the 1930s due to alcohol prohibition in some parts of the United States. Opponents of street racing cite a lack of safety relative to sanctioned racing events, as well as legal repercussions arising from incidents, among street racing's drawbacks.

Because vehicles used in street racing competitions generally lack professional racing safety equipment such as roll cages and racing fuel cell and drivers seldom wear fire suits and are not usually trained in high-performance driving, injuries and fatalities are common results from accidents. Furthermore, illegal street racers put ordinary drivers at risk because they race on public roads rather than closed-course, purpose-built facilities, such as Pacific Raceways in many cities.

Because racing occurs in areas where it is not sanctioned, extensive wear can occur to the roads (from high-powered vehicles damaging the asphalt) and damage to the fences/gates closing the area off (in the case of industrial parks, etc). Further, as the street racing culture places a very high social value on a fast vehicle, people who might not otherwise be able to afford blazingly fast but very expensive vehicles may attempt to steal them, violently or otherwise. Additionally, street racers tend to form teams which participate in racing together, the implication above is that these teams may be a form of organized crime or gang activity.
