I am looking for a strong roof rack to tie small amounts of lumber, pipe, etc for short trips using my 1993 Corolla. I realize it's a Corolla....but do you have anything that could accommodate my needs?

The Corolla roof will be the limiting factor in terms of strength. If you still have your owner's manual, look for the limit roof load.
I would recommend this inexpensive but strong all-in-one Frontier Roof Rack from SportRack (owned by Thule).
