For the last six years, Radisson Blu Edwardian hotels in London have asked their guests if they want to share some of their precious time away with a child who is not so fortunate. At check-out, front desk staff ask guests to donate £1 for each night’s stay. World Childhood Foundation is the beneficiary of the funds that Radisson Blu Edwardian collects this way and in 2012 it amounted to over £60,000.  By asking each guest if they are willing to donate £1 per night, Radisson Blu Edwardian is helping children around the world to feel safe.

World Childhood Foundation supports street children in many countries, and with your help they can also have a warm bed and a hot meal: a child in Kiev, Ukraine, will have a place to sleep.  In St. Petersburg, Russia, Childhood supports a drop-in center for children who can’t stay at home because of drug abuse or violence.  Or in Minneapolis, Minnesota, The Bridge for Youth, helps teenagers who sell themselves for food or shelter, find a bed for a few nights.
