Quality of unexplainable joy that we Get From Helping Others.

1 year before my juniour ( Name Prabhakaran) suddenly ask me a help to help his classmate's ( a girl's) grandmother ,he suddenly ask me to donate blood to that grandmother while returning from my college bus,we are "Loyola Institute of technology college" students at that time,that college is located in chennai Palanjur opposite to Queens Land,we stopped the bus near one signal & their we get one share auto,We went poonamalli,From their we get another share auto & We reached Porur Ramachandra Hospital at the time of 4:30 ,suddenly I went & Finished some Formalities & I gave my sample to them,they told that they have to test the blood ,if I am elligible after all the test , they informed that they will take blood on next day.as it is Last year ,Last sem,we r going to college only to do final year project,so next day,I leave a hint to my friend ,"I have to go to donate blood,after that I will return here & Join you " Like that I went to give blood,I have a habit of morning fasting,I know before donating blood we have to eat something,so I ate 2 Idlis on a Hotel & I went on that day to Donate blood,they asked what you ate...?.I replied 2 Idlis,they replied & advice me to take some extra food,that grandmother husband took me to the upstairs,their he ordered 2 idlis & pongal for me & 1 Pongal,1 coffee For him,we finished ate their,I saw a sadness in his face but he is managing ,smiling & Speaking nicely with me,beacause that old man is having a Love on his wife (that grandmother) ,I saw the feel on that grandfather face that he is ready to do anything to save that Grandmother from ill,after 1 hour I entered the room to donate blood,the persons who are taking blood from me,talk & intract nicely,inbetween they provide me juice & some biscuits too,I finished donated my blood & I Came out ,they provide me my test report,that Grandfather came near me,he started to spoke that "we r coming from there to here,she is having some problem,you came Like a god to save her,you are god "Like that "I Replied,grandpa its not like that,God only send me as a Messenger to help you thats it,God only gives mind to accept to help Grandmother,whatever its may "Praise the God" ,God will not come Always to help you Directly,God is having so many jobs,so God Will use some Persons to do his duty or to help others,Like that I came here,Pls Praise Lord,I am just a Ordinary man".But that grandfather Replied "whatever it may be thank you Pa" Like that.I saw a Kind of sadness & Kind of happiness in that grandfathers face,its really unexplainable,untill now I don't know how r their,but after I came out from there I have a kind of joy,there I feel that I have done something wonder,I have got a type of happy feeling,its really unexplainable,if you want to know that joy,y don't pls help others & you get that feel,its my humble request just try it...!.Later I am in tired Condition I went back to my College to join my Partner to Do our Project,there I get nice scold from my partner,because our project guide asked him "only you r here doing project ah,what about others" ,because at that time one friend get admitted in saveetha medical college hospital for he his having stone in his kidney & appendix Problem,another one person not came,because he is having some spiritual function on that day,we are totally 4 members Doing a Single final year Project "Fault analysis in Transformer using Frequency Response analysis" .so according to that plan I have to join with my Partner to do Project at that day...!.but I am not there in college for half a day,so my friend got tension he started to scold me,I am not mention thathe is a bad,because even if I am in his condition,I also get tension like him.but Later he stopped & We continue to do our work.eventhough my Project Partner scolded me,I am not mind it,because I am in overflow joy for helping some one,on that day I am so happy ,because I saved one Life,Whatever I say up to now about that joy,you will not get that,untill you help someone or Donating blood to some one or Saving a Life & so on. I like to share my unexplainable joy on that day,I like that Each & everyone must also enjoy that type of unexplainable joy or happiness,so Pls help someone,Pls donate blood,Donating blood not only save those who get it,it also save you from heart attacks , Blood Pressure Problems & So on,Pls give education to someone,Pls give food to someone , Pls do something to help others up to your abilities & Enjoy that type of joy,what I enjoy & I am still Enjoying...!.Start enjoying unexplainable type of joy that no one enjoyed ...!.I advertise here not about me,I am advertise here about the "Quality of unexplainable joy that we Get From Helping Others".

Medicinal Property of Bilva tree,In tamil it is Vilvam Maram

Scientific Name – Aegle Mermelos
English Name – Golden Apple/ Stone Apple

Ayurveda (science of health) values the Bilva highly for the medicinal properties contained in its root, fruit and leaves. These are used in various Ayurvedic preparations.

Root – A preparation made from the root with ginger and toasted rice cures vomiting. For the treatment of piles, dysentery and diarrhoea, a preparation is made from the root mixed with another tuberous root. The oil extracted from the Bilva root, boiled with the juice of Bilva leaves and applied to the head is excellent for nasal catarrh and diseases of the ear.

Fruit – Its pale tawny flesh is sweet and astringent, containing tannin, which acts as an astringent to the bowels. It has a pleasant, agreeable and aromatic flavor, and provides an excellent dietary supplement. The pulp of the dried Bilva fruit, powdered and mixed with arrowroot, is called ‘dietetic Bel’. It is both a sustaining food and a curative medicine.

Leaves – The consumption of Bilva leaves alleviates diseases caused by excess vata and kapha (mucus). They are also useful in diabetes mellitus. For this, a few leaves should be chewed daily and their fresh juice drunk. They are diaphoretic (producing more perspiration), thus reducing temperature and lowering fevers, and an aphrodisiac. A decoction of leaves is a favorite remedy for ailments that often occur during seasonal changes, such as fever, flu and fatigue.

Also The roots, skin, leaves and the fruits are used for medicinal purpose. Bilva is used both, internally as well as externally. The fresh juice of its leaves in instilled into the eyes, in conjunctivitis. In the swollen conditions and pain in ribs, the fomentation with its leaves alleviates the pain and oedema. In stomatitis, the gargles with the decoction of its bark skin are beneficial. The sesame oil medicated with bilva fruit is useful in deafness. Internally, bilva is used for wide range diseases. The roots are extremely useful in vata diseases, insomnia, seizures, and hysteria as the calm down the nerves. The decoction of the roots can be given with great benefit, as a complementary herb, in typhoid fever. The roots and the leaves help reducing the fevers. The roots and the leaves help reducing the fevers. The oedematous conditions of uterus, postpartum infections and leucorrhea are effectively controlled with the decoction of its roots.

The raw fruit of bilva is a renowned panacea for diarrhea, dysentery, colitis, loss of appetite and abdominal dull pains. The pulp of the raw fruit, cooked with suger is salutary in bacillary dysentery and bleeding piles. A mixture of the juice of its leaves and marica (Piper nigrum) boosts the liver, hence valuable in hepatitis. The decoction of its leaves helps in reducing the phlegm in cold, cough and asthma. The skin of bakula and bilva work well as an adjunct, in diabetes, when given with the milk. Bilva is a well-known bitter tonic. The juice of its leaves is given with rock candy, in equal quantity, as a general tonic. In vomiting the decoction of the skin of the fruit, works well when given with honey. In children, the decoction of bilva, musta and dhataki, given with honey, controls the diarrhea very efficiently. The juice of the leaves is an effective medicament for worms. In obesity, the decoction of the roots of bilva, syonaka, kasmari and patala is given with honey, to reduce the excessive body fats. The chronic colitis is well treated with the combination of bilva with jatiphala and avartaki.

Medicinal Value of Thulasi or Tulsi (Basil):

The tulsi or holy basil is an important symbol in the Hindu religious tradition and is worshiped in the morning and evening by Hindus at large. The holy basil is also a herbal remedy for a lot of common ailments. Here are some medicinal uses of tulsi for you.

Healing Power:

The tulsi plant has many medicinal properties. The leaves are a nerve tonic and also sharpen memory. They promote the removal of the catarrhal matter and phlegm from the bronchial tube. The leaves strengthen the stomach and induce copious perspiration. The seed of the plant are mucilaginous.

Fever & Common Cold:

The leaves of basil are specific for many fevers. During the rainy season, when malaria and dengue fever are widely prevalent, tender leaves, boiled with tea, act as preventive against theses diseases. In case of acute fevers, a decoction of the leaves boiled with powdered cardamom in half a liter of water and mixed with sugar and milk brings down the temperature. The juice of tulsi leaves can be used to bring down fever. Extract of tulsi leaves in fresh water should be given every 2 to 3 hours. In between one can keep giving sips of cold water. In children, it is every effective in bringing down the temperature.

Cough:

Tulsi is an important constituent of many Ayurvedic cough syrups and expectorants. It helps to mobilize mucus in bronchitis and asthma. Chewing tulsi leaves relieves cold and flu.

sore Throat:

Water boiled with basil leaves can be taken as drink in case of sore throat. This water can also be used as a gargle.

Respiratory Disorder:

The herb is useful in the treatment of respiratory system disorder. A decoction of the leaves, with honey and ginger is an effective remedy for bronchitis, asthma, influenza, cough and cold. A decoction of the leaves, cloves and common salt also gives immediate relief in case of influenza. They should be boiled in half a liter of water till only half the water is left and add then taken.

Kidney Stone:

Basil has strengthening effect on the kidney. In case of renal stone the juice of basil leaves and honey, if taken regularly for 6 months it will expel them via the urinary tract.

Heart Disorder:

Basil has a beneficial effect in cardiac disease and the weakness resulting from them. It reduces the level of blood cholesterol.

Children's Ailments:

Common pediatric problems like cough cold, fever, diarrhea and vomiting respond favorably to the juice of basil leaves. If pustules of chicken pox delay their appearance, basil leaves taken with saffron will hasten them.

Stress:

Basil leaves are regarded as an 'adaptogen' or anti-stress agent. Recent studies have shown that the leaves afford significant protection against stress. Even healthy persons can chew 12 leaves of basil, twice a day, to prevent stress. It purifies blood and helps prevent several common elements.

Mouth Infection:

The leaves are quit effective for the ulcer and infections in the mouth. A few leaves chewed will cure these conditions.

Insect Bites:

The herb is a prophylactic or preventive and curative for insect stings or bites. A teaspoonful of the juice of the leaves is taken and is repeated after a few hours. Fresh juice must also be applied to the affected parts. A paste of fresh roots is also effective in case of bites of insects and leeches.

Skin Disorder:

Applied locally, basil juice is beneficial in the treatment of ringworm and other skin diseases. It has also been tried successfully by some naturopaths in the treatment of leucoderma.

Largest Crocodile Lolong

A giant saltwater crocodile weighing more than a tonne was captured on September 3, 2011 in a remote Philippine village following a spate of attacks on humans and livestock, officials said Tuesday. The 21-foot (6.4-metre), 1,075-kilogramme (2,370-pound) reptile may have eaten a farmer who went missing in July, along with several water buffaloes in the southern town of Bunawan.

In November of 2011, Australian crocodile expert Dr. Adam Britton of National Geographic sedated and measured Lolong in his enclosure and confirmed Lolong as the world's longest crocodile ever caught and placed in captivity.

Bunawan has made the giant beast the centerpiece of an ecotourism park for species found in the marshlands near the township. Mayor Elorde said, “We will take care of this crocodile because this will boost our tourism and we know it can help in terms of town’s income and jobs to our village communities.”

Lolong is now kept in an enclosure in the Bunawan Ecopark and Wildlife Reservation Center in Barangay Consuelo located 8 km out of town. People from nearby towns are now trooping to Lolong’s eco-park after the Palawan Wildlife and Conservation Center finally gave a go signal to open it to the public on September 17. The Bunawan Municipal Council recently passed an ordinance regulating and imposing fees on gate entrance, parking and other fees at the eco-park where the celebrity giant crocodile now resides in captivity.

Although the eco-park has a twenty-peso entrance fee for adults and less for the children, these proceeds will be used for Lolong’s food and the maintenance of the eco-park itself. The Bunawan Eco-Park is also incurring expenses to maintain electricity, maintenance and other incidental expenses like installation of CCTV cameras. According to Bunawan town Mayor Edwin Elorde, as of October 26th, 2011, the celebrity crocodile has already earned nearly half million pesos in donations, entrance fees, and parking fees, with a daily income of about P10,000 that month

Have This in your Mind Before Blood Donation

Have a good meal at least 3 hours before donating blood.
Accept the snacks offered to you after the donation, it is vital that you have them. You are recommended to have a good meal later.
Avoid smoking on the day before donating. You can smoke 3 hours after donation.
You will not be eligible to donate blood if you have consumed alcohol 48 hours before donation.

your weight is 45 kgs or more.
your haemoglobin is 12.5 gm% minimum.
your last blood donation was 3 months earlier.
you are healthy and have not suffered from malaria, typhoid or other transmissible disease in the recent past.

Who Can't Donate Blood...?

cold / fever in the past 1 week.
under treatment with antibiotics or any other medication.
cardiac problems, hypertension, epilepsy, diabetes (on insulin therapy), history of cancer,chronic kidney or liver disease, bleeding tendencies, venereal disease etc.
major surgery in the last 6 months.
vaccination in the last 24 hours.
had a miscarriage in the last 6 months or have been pregnant / lactating in the last one year.
had fainting attacks during last donation.
have regularly received treatment with blood products.
shared a needle to inject drugs/ have history of drug addiction.
had sexual relations with different partners or with a high risk individual.
been tested positive for antibodies to HIV.
Females should not donate blood during pregnancy.They can donate after 6 weeks following a normal delivery and when they are not breast feeding. Females should not donate blood if they are having heavy menstrual flow or menstrual cramps.

Reduce the chance of heart diseases

It has been observed that increase in blood iron level increases the chance of heart disease. Iron is involved in the oxidation of cholesterol and this process is believed to be detrimental for the arteries. Increases blood iron level favors this process of cholesterol oxidation and thus leads to heart disease. Regular blood donation helps especially males in loosing iron on regular basis. It helps in reducing the chance of heart attack to one third.

Helps in fighting hemochromitosis
