Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves - Romans 12:9-10

I was reading these verses this morning and I discover the genuine theology of leadership.
- Love sincerely (as oppose to having LOVE in our personal mission statement)
- Cling on to what is good and do the right thing (as oppose to doing things right)
- Be devoted to one another (as oppose to managing or handling them)
- Honor and lift others higher than yourself (as oppose to just leading them which is quite a selfish act)

Leaders, love sincerely, do what is right, be devoted to and advance the people you lead. That is, I think the theology or if you aren’t interested in theology, the PHD of leadership.

This video is neither funny or of a genre of music for he likes.

My guess is
1) The words are simple
2) The words and structure are repetitive
3) It featured something he can associate with (the keyboard parts

But most importantly I think it was …
4) He did the turn-aside consistently that makes kids anticipate when is the next time.

Was terribly disappointed with Microsoft as an organisation and what they stand for with their partner who are our vendor for the church finance system. After 3 days of dealing with them and making a stand against bad management practices and lack of honor and integrity, last night care group was refreshing.

It was good to go back to a spiritual family and evaluate how to do the right thing in situations like these. The topic we dealt with was fear. Yung asked us to list out our fears and I listed mine to include not able to fulfill God’s best in my life, war, lack of guidance in children and lizards. I also have on my list the fear of confrontation and constipation. Yeap that’s right I always fear not being able to DO IT. The key is to be strong and courageous because the Lord is there with us. He will not leave us nor forsake us. Yung summed that up well.

Mag was at a counselling session until late as well. After the long day, we met at Singapore Flyer for calamari rings, blackcurrent juice and cheese cake. It was late around midnight but we don’t care, there were other young people hanging out as well. We sat there, ate and talked, didn’t move much but it didn’t matter, we had a great time just chatting. We felt like school boys and girls again.. okay tired school boys and girls. Reached home at 1+ am and the Lord gave us rest.

Last night I saw a cockroach in our bathroom. It was laying there on its back unable to get up. I tried to find insect repellent but couldn’t, so I sprayed it with the only thing I could grab hold of; Mag’s Calvin Klein’s perfume.

The next morning, it was right there on the floor, dead, totally!.

Now if you can’t kill someone the bloody way, trying using the clean way. The right clean way is guarantee to work in all that you do. Fearlessness to do right is like a muscle. The more I exercise it the more natural it becomes. Soon not allowing our fears to run us as we stand by truth becomes a constant neat thing to do.

Thanks for Ps Jeff who blogged about MJ and Yue Ann’s lead in the comments. Here’s what I’ve been listening to that made me laugh. Yeah, the kind of influence, impact and spread MJ has is amazing.
This video is good for kids because the words of advice are exactly what parents would want to say.

I know pastor Jeff has been working really hard and today, he’s down and not well. So I thought maybe I’ll be faithful with my words and message him.

” Hi Pastor Jeff, The art of resting is ‘Don’t read your smses’. Get back to bed and God bless -Hong Teck”

He usually replies but he didn’t which shows that he is really resting.

How often do we really rest? We are always busy thinking of all the things before us and all things ahead of us, really as if they are more important than things within us. Jesus asked he who is sick and weary to ‘Come to Him’ so that He can give him rest.

So the art of coming to Jesus is not reading your smses and come to Him who is within us and enjoy being present.

I was having coffee at Coffee Bean. I wanted to do some studying but….

.. so I read the newspaper instead.

I found an interesting report saying the verdict is out. Costa Rica is the happiest and greenest place on earth.
If only i can just fly there to find out how they do it, it’ll be fantastic. My next break maybe.

If going there is not possible because its too far, then it is also reported that happiest place in Asia is Vietnam. They rank 5th. Malaysia is in the 30s and Singapore rank above 40.

But flying somewhere else just to find out how to be happy maybe a bit far-fetch. So I wrote on a napkin, my thoughts about how to be happy now… until something becomes possible.

“How To Be happy? What do I need to do?…..

…. Easy, you need to BE Happy to be happy!”
