I heard from a couple of people that they attempted to pay for tickets this morning and the online sales system had closed out sales. I have reset it and tickets are still available. For those who tried to pay online this morning, please go to the link and RSVP again and it will allow you to pay.

What: CV Raider 2010 Football Awards Desert

This event is to celebrate the BEST football teams in the history of Crescent Valley High School! Come be a part of this celebration! Players, famlies and guests FROM ALL FOOTBALL TEAMS are invited.

When: December 5th from 6-8pm

Where: OSU Reser Stadium Loge Level (Enter Gate C and take elevator to 2nd floor.

Cost: We do need to charge for this event this year due to the fact that our fundraisers did not bring in enough money this year to cover all of our expenses.

$20 per family: This is the best bargan for family/guest groups of 3 or more (including athlete)
$7.50 per person: This option is the best bargan for any athlete attending alone or with 1 family member or guest.

Fall Sports Awards Night Tomorrow AND Dec 5th

Kelly Gardner has posted some final thoughts and words of encouragement for the varsity team members as they prepare for their game on Friday. Kelly is encouraging team members to take a look at the “State Championship” document at the bottom of the Athlete Resources on the team website; www.cvraiderfootball.com. He would also like to remind team members that there are positive affirmations posted there as well, under “Imagine Winning 1” Additionally, the mental imaging process he took the team through at the beginning of the season is also posted under “Imagine Winning 2” Kelly suggests that team members take some time to review those documents and the mental imaging process several times before Friday’s Game.” The password to access any of those documents is: Raiders!2010 Please Type Exactly as shown.

Football Practice Wednesday and Thursday

RAIDER NATION:

Tomorrow (Wedneday Nov 24th) IF THERE IS NO SCHOOL then practice will be at 11am at OSU Truax Center. IF THERE IS SCHOOL then practice will be at 6pm at OSU Truax Center.

On Thursday (yes...Thanksgiving Day) Team Walk-Thru will be at 10:15am for 1 hour at OSU Truax Center. PARENTS AND FAMILY ARE INVITED!!! Come enjoy some hot coffee and chocolate sponsored by Dutch Bros. Coffee. Walk Thru will be for 1 hour only. This is an important part of team preperation so all players need to attend.

Drive Safely to Practice Today!!!

Football practice is at 11am at the OSU Truax Center. Drive only if you feel it is safe to come. Everyone is encouraged to attend practices but please use your good judgement on whether it is safe for you to drive. Try carpooling with other parents if you live in the same neighborhood. Semifinals Playoff Location Information IMPORTANT

The site for the semifinals against Marist has been determined.

When: 2pm Friday November 26th
Where: Willamette University McCulloch Stadium (Two blocks south of the main campus near Bush's Pasture Park.) 700 Mission St. SE., Salem Oregon
Cost: $8 for adults and $5 for students

Practice tomorrow (Monday Nov. 22) will be AT CHS from 4pm-6:15pm . The team is to meet in the CVHS locker room right after school before going to CHS.

Winningham Family Assistance Update

We are going to run a meal schedule for Paula and her family for one more week and then people can work directly with Paula to provide assistance after that. This holiday week is already proving to be difficult for Paula so some of her family and friends will contine to stay with her through Nov 29th, so we need to assist with food. Portions can be adjusted from 10 down to 5-6 for this next week.

Raider Nation, we are hosting the quarter finals of the playoffs and our house is not ready for guests!!! We don't have enough people to work concessions! Its like inviting guests over for dinner and having no food in the house!

Parents of Seniors:
Though there’s still plenty of football to play, we are planning the end-of-the-year football celebration (tentatively December 5th). As part of the event, we’ll have a slide show—part of which will be to honor this year’s seniors.

So … we need parents of seniors to look for three pictures of your players: two pictures of when they were growing up (football-related or not), and a current one from this year.

Planning your week. Opportunities to Serve

As you are planning your week today, please remember two areas of need.

1. The Winningham Family. We have meals set up for them completey through Monday, however after that we have pleanty of need for more help. We need to support them at least through next week. Please go to the football website: http://www.cvraiderfootball.com/ and click on the "Help the Winningham Family" and sign up to provide a mean, snacks, or supplies. There are about 10 family members/ close family friends staying at the house who need our support. Please use the web sign up or email me so that we do not overwhelm the family. They are very very touched and appreciative of your support, however this is a time of intense grief and we do need to respect their need for privacy. You can also coordinate directly with Paula's sister Carrie. Her contact number is in the web signup. I don't want to publish it unecessarily.

If you know of others who would like to help the Winninghams, please forward this email to them.

Winningham Family Food Info

Thank you to everyone who has delivered food and supplies to Paula and her family staying with her. The entire family wanted me to pass on how touched they are with your generosity.

Family will be staying through this week so we still have many opportunities to assist. Please use the website signup or email me to assist. This way we can stay coordinated and not overwhelm them with too much or too little.

1. Just go to the website www.cvraiderfootball.com and click on the "Help the Winninghams" button.
2. Sign up for as many opportunities as you wish.
3. Please plan on delivering breakfast either the night before, or by 9am. Lunch NLT 12:30, and dinner NLT 6:30pm.
4. Please call Carrie, Paula's sister, BEFORE you deliver so they can give you any last minute needs, or let you know to hold off on the food. Her number is 541-868-4431.
5. If you cannot get ahold of the family, you can call me at 541-224-6612 and I can run over there. We live close.
6. I asked the family to be very specific with their needs so we can meet them.
7. Paula would like more fresh foods for herself, light things like soups, fruits, fresh veggies. Casseroles etc, are OK for the rest of the family. WES HATES CHEESE. :) The two grandmothers like Beringer White Zinfendel wine. An assortment of beer is good to.
8. We need someone to cover breakfast tomorrow morning. (Sunday 11/14)
