			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Operations and Maintenance Engineer needed to work on high-speed rail link in the South East!</p>
<p>You will be responsible for the maintenance of high voltage (HV) assets on the network to ensure continuity of power supply and you will also manage contractors to bring about completion of maintenance activities in a timely manner.</p>
<p>Key Tasks:<br />
* Maintenance of HV assets at 400kV, 33kV, 27.5kV, 11kV and 6.6kV plus 433v &amp; 400v.<br />
* Maintenance of control and protection systems.<br />
* Adherence to health and safety policies and company regulations.<br />
* Planned and reactive maintenance, fault investigations and repairs when required.</p>
<p>Qualifications and Experience:<br />
* Authorised, Senior Authorised or Control Person status (SAP or AP).<br />
* Experience of distribution and railway traction power systems at 33kV, 25kV, 11kV and 400V.<br />
* Ability to meet high-speed PTS requirements.<br />
* HNC (or equivalent) in electrical engineering.<br />
* UK driving licence.</p>
<p>You must be prepared to work late nights or evenings when there are faults on the network.</p>

<p>Responsibilities:<br />
The position is based in a high volume Production Plant, You will be responsible to ensure that Production machinery / equipment is achieving maximum efficiency, You will be responsible for reactive breakdown repairs and adhere to the Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule, You will also be responsible for the Fault Diagnosis and Repair of a wide variety of Mechanical Systems including Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Conveyors, Mono rail bag system, LP steam, Water softeners, LP air compressors, Filters, Gearboxes, Piping systems, Pumps, Motors, Drives and belts.</p>
<p>You will be a &#8216;hands-on&#8217; Mechanical maintenance Engineer and be able to apply your previous engineering background and experience to achieve the very highest levels of plant maintenance. Reporting to the Engineering Manager or the General Manager, You will be self-motivated and innovative in approach. Capable of working within a proactive team and be committed to Planned Preventative Maintenance and the highest standards of Health &amp; Safety</p>
<p>Applicant Requirements:<br />
- Required to respond to reactive machine breakdowns.<br />
- Assist in creating a safe and healthy working environment,<br />
- Ensure that machinery and equipment are maintained to achieve maximum efficiency and comply with all Health &amp; Safety Requirements.<br />
- Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification or time served apprenticeship.<br />
- To adhere to a preventative planned maintenance programme, covering equipment and services as laid down in the company procedures.<br />
- Liaise with Senior Engineers, General Manger, Production Managers and Production staff as necessary.<br />
- Ensure quality standards are maintained at all times.<br />
- Update maintenance log.<br />
- Proven knowledge of fault finding and diagnosis.<br />
- Strong communication and organizational skills.<br />
- Team Player.<br />
- Proven Mechanical / Electrical engineering skills.</p>

Due to continued commercial growth and success they are currently recruiting for a &#8216;Telecommunications Project Engineer&#8217;, based in London, Euston, on a contract basis.</p>
<p>With previous experience in the field your main duties will to support the implementation of the telecommunications systems/network required to support re-signalling or signalling re-control project within the mainline rail industry and to undertake the management of sub-contractors who will be providing the telecommunications systems for the project.</p>
<p>To complement the above you will be acting as Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) for the telecommunications discipline in accordance with the CDM regulations, and working as part of a bid team on tenders received from the client, including the production of Sub-Contract Specifications.</p>
<p>You will undertake the management of sub-contractors who will be providing the telecommunications systems for the project. This will include all elements, such as holding monthly progress meetings, undertaking the reviews of safety documentation and designs.</p>
<p>Undertake site surveys and produce survey reports for submission to the client, and take part in interdisciplinary checks (IDC) on behalf of the telecommunications discipline.</p>
<p>You will be part of multidisciplinary team, undertaking GRIP 1- 4 processes.</p>
<p>The successful applicant will ideally have the following;<br />
*Personnel Track Safety (PTS)<br />
*Individual Working Alone (IWA) or Controller of Site Safety (COSS)<br />
*Certificates and a very good understanding of railway telecommunications systems and networks<br />
*IRSE Telecommunications Project Engineers License.</p>
<p>This contract will run for a minimum of 10 weeks initially and for your efforts and services you will be rewarded with a competitive rate of pay and a stable workload in the current economic climate.</p>

<p>To complete this role it is likely that you will have knowledge of SSI line side equipment, Dorman LED signal technology and of Mixed Point machine types, and it is essential to hold IRSE License 1.1.150C/D or equivalent as a minimum.</p>
<p>Technology Requirements:</p>
<p>*SSI line side equipment knowledge (ability to check designs using DLM&#8217;s, TFM&#8217;s and LDT&#8217;s)<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our client is looking for experienced P-Way, Civils &amp; Safety Critical track gangs to join their Project teams in South West England in delivering ongoing projects, due to run into 2013.</p>
<p>Our Client’s railway division is one of Europe’s leading providers of rail infrastructure services. In the UK they combine the engineering skills of all their specialist businesses to provide total solutions in all aspects of railway infrastructure, from high speed rail systems to light and urban rail.</p>
<p>Job specification:</p>
<p>* Civils –</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Troughing, Drainage, Station/Platform Refurbs &amp; Extensions, UTX’s, OLE Bases</p>
<p>* P-Way -</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Plain Line, Renewals, Stressing, Build &amp; Install of S&amp;C, Relays</p>
<p>* Safety Critical –</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Lookouts, Wardens, COSS, AOD’s, Machine/Crane/Protection Controllers</p>
<p>Person Specification:</p>

<p>You must have a valid PTS as a minimum. TRACK INDUCTION and Small Tool tickets would be an advantage to any qualifying applicant and would open up other areas/disciplines relevant to in date certification/qualifications.</p>
