Download and install Ruby...
You can find more information on Ruby's homepage how to do that..

1. Open terminal
2. write ruby -v
if you see this ruby 1.8.6 (2007-09-24 patchlevel something something) then ruby is installed...
you can write ruby code direct in terminal using irb..

test to see if it works...
type irb in terminal and you will see
irb(main):001:0> (ruby code goes here)
Your calculator
irb(main):001:0> 2 + 2
output => 4
irb(main):002:0> 2 * 3
output => 6
irb(main):003:0> 10 / 2
output => 5
go ahead and test for your self...

You just have to go to http://rubyinstaller.org/ and download the installer..very easy.
