We've all created some love-themed projects to share with you this month, but before I get to my project, take a look below at the kits that Denine is releasing this month! Now, on to my projects for this month's hop! I've used supplies from the Echo Park Yours Truly collection collection and also some papers from the MME Love Me 6x6 paper pad which is only available through the January 2012 Fun Love kit.

I created a heart box (SVG can be found here) that opens up so that you can fill it with goodies. Sadly, I didn't have any goodies to put inside hence the lack of a picture of the opened box, lol. The papers used to create the box are from the MME Love Me 6x6 paper pad (found in the kit here) and the Echo Park Yours Truly Love Notes 12x12 paper. The stickers are from the Echo Park Yours Truly Elements Stickers. The box cut using my KNK ZING (love the freedom of this machine, you can cut anything you want and aren't limited by cartridges) and glued together using my trusty ATG gun and tape.

The matching card was created using the Echo Park Yours Truly Love Notes 12x12 paper and Yours Truly 6x6 Paper Pad, which I don't see available at the store at the moment, but make sure to check back soon. The stickers are again from the Yours Truly Elements Stickers and the center piece is from the Yours Truly Journaling Cards. The card was finished off with lace trim, rhinestones, and dotted with Viva Decor Pear Pen in Silver. As always, I used ATG Tape for sticking together the papers and Beacon 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue for the other elements.

Happy Friday everyone!

I have a simple card to share with you using supplies from the Shop Pumpkin Spice January 2012 Featured Designer kit! This is such a fun kit and I loved all the different embellishments and papers in it. I've been wanting to try random sewing on a card (something that Kellie does soooo perfectly) and I thought this was as good a time as any!

The doily, button, twine, crochet flower, ribbon (frayed at the ends), cute bingo card, and kraft paper are all included in the Shop Pumpkin Spice January 2012 Featured Designer kit. Everything in the kit works so well together!

For my last showcase card for this release, I've used Val Ventura and Celebration Mini Tickets. I also used the Whimsy Vines Die Set release a while back. I went for a distressed look with lots of little embellishments. It's been a while since I've been able to load my card with lots of little tidbits and I'm pretty satisfied with how the card came together. The edges were distressed and inked with Vintage Photo. The inspiration came from the sketch over at Stamps & Fun = Creativity challenge blog.

For today's mini hop, I've created a card using Sylvia Zet's new image called Heidi. She's such a gorgeous little girl and it was so fun to color her :) I used a sentiment released from last year called Cozy Hands Sentiments, which I thought were PERFECT with the designer paper, and cut out the mitten with the Mittens Die Set. The edges of the mitten are Stickled. The snowflakes were cut out using the Layered Snowflakes die set, which I haven't been able to use very much so I was glad to be able to play with them. This card uses the sketch at Simon Says Stamp.

Happy Friday! I hope you're all having a wonderful day so far :) Are you staying warm during these winter days? We had a ton of snow here in Oregon in the beginning of the week, but it's all turned to rain now so everything is all slushy and wet.

Anywho, I have another card to share with you today using the wonderful products from Shop Pumpkin Spice. I've actually used supplies from various manufacturers, which is somewhat of a rarity for me :) I usually go the easy route and pick embellishments and papers from the same collection, but this time I tried to mix it up a bit.

The papers are from Crate Paper Emma's Shop 6x6 paper pad and the sentiment sticker is from Echo Park Yours Truly - Element Stickers. I've placed it on a Spellbinders die cut from the Fleur de Lis Rectangles set which is layered on top of a journaling card cut from the Echo Park Happy Days - Journaling Cards. I've also liberally sprayed the card with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Pearl, which you can see better if you click on the picture to enlarge it. I used a ticket punch to dress up the edges a little and placed dots of Stickles at the corners of the card. The card was held together using my trusty ATG gun and the Scotch Tape Glue for the papers and Beacon Advanced Tape Glue for the flowers and lace.

For today's mini hop, I've created a card using Crissy's new image called Spring Zebra. Crissy's animal images are always so adorable and this stamp is no exception :) I used a sentiment from the Spring Letter Seals set and cut it out using the new Tab 1 die. Although there's a matching sentiment set (Thank You Tabs 1) for the Tab 1 die, as you can see, you can use the tab die with a variety of sentiments that you may have available! This card uses the current sketch at the CLP Challenge Blog.

Happy Friday! How has the new year been for you so far? Have you gotten into the habit of writing 2012 for dates yet?

For my SPS post today, I have a somewhat spring-like card to share with you. It was kind of nice to use some natural colors instead of blues and holiday colors :) This card actually didn't take too long to put together as there was no coloring involved. The gorgeous papers are from the Bo Bunny Welcome Home 6x6 Paper Pad. I love the natural colors in this paper pad. What I also like about Bo Bunny in general is the distressing that they have on their papers so it makes me want to distress the edges to go for a more tattered look. The edges were also Stickled and the stickers are from K&Company. The postage sentiment is from the Whimsy Stamps Everyday Mini Postage Stamps and cut out using the Mini Postage Stamp die.

Finally, some play time!

We're finally almost all moved in to our new place and I finally got to take a little time to make some cards! I think it's been almost two months since I really got to craft. Sadly, these cards aren't the best, though. I need to find my groove again and find some inspiration from blogland. Oh well, here they are anyway!

The first card is a card using an LOTV image that I have had for a while now. As with many of my LOTV stamps, this one has never seen the light of day until now.

Stamp: LOTV; Coloring medium: Copics on MiC Blending Card; Papers: Crate Paper Farmhouse 6x6 Paper Pad; Tools: Cuttlebug, Spellbinders corner die, Viva Decor Pearl Pen

The second card uses a Whimsy Stamp called Lady Victoria. I love this KennyK image! I was inspired to use it by Annika's post here and was trying to go for the same old world feel, but obviously, failed. I love her card and her coloring with the dark contrasts is stunning! My sentiment is a freebie rubber sentiment from Whimsy. Denise throws in freebie rubber stamps in your order every once in a while. The sentiment was cut using the Notables 1 Die and then layered on top of a die cut using the Elegant Notables 1 die. These Notables dies layer great together since one is slightly smaller.

I also have one last quick card to share with you. This one uses papers from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found 2 Blush 6x6 paper pad. The brad is from the "Beautiful Girl Brads" from the same collection. The circle sentiment stamp is from the Whimsy Stamps Love Letter Seals set. The edges were distressed a bit and the (messy) pearls were done using Ranger Liquid Pearls.

Hi folks! Do you have all your holiday shopping done? I hope so or else you'll be fighting the crowds during the last minute shopping madness :)

Today is another full reveal of an easel card that I created for the December "Times and Seasons" Kit of the Month which is Shop Pumpkin Spice now for only $24.95. The kit also comes with an exclusive instructions sheet for all my projects in the kit.

All of the paper used on this card either came from the Echo Park Times and Seasons 12x12 Journaling Cards paper or the Times and Seasons 6x6 paper pad. SPS December Blog Hop - Echo Park Christmas lines!

Welcome to Pumpkin Spice December blog hop!

Well, it's December already and that means the current DT's terms are ending. BUT, we are ending with a bang! This blog hop is our last blog hop together and we have decided to show off the gorgeous Echo Park Christmas line of papers and embellishments.

We are also featuring my Kit of the Month creations using supplies mostly from the Echo Park Times and Seasons collection. I just loved everything about this collection and it's so much more versatile than just for Christmas. Actually, my kit doesn't have any Christmas-related creations in it at all - it has more of a celebration/Valentine/friendship theme to it. Here's a snapshot of most of the projects. There are two additional projects not pictured below, but to see the entire list of supplies, you'll have to head over to the Kit of the Month section at SPS!

Oh, and before I share some detailed photos of two of my kit creations, I have another important announcement: Shop Pumpkin Spice is having a DT call for 2012! Since I made an extra project for this kit, I can reveal two creations today! First up is my favorite creation from the kit, which is a 3x3 notecard box with four 3x3 notecards. Bumbling me forgot to take a picture of the fourth notecard, but you can still see it in the first photo :) This set uses papers from the Times and Season's 6x6 paper pad and stickers from the Times and Season's Elements Stickers. I used a lot of different Spellbinder Dies and twine to dress things up a bit.

The second project is a quick and simple bag using Times and Seasons 12x12 Trinkets paper and a sticker form the Times and Seasons Elements Stickers. I also used Caribbean and Denim Baker’s Twine.

I just love all the bold colors and patterns in this collection :) I know that you'll have just as much fun with it as I did!

Wow can you believe it's December already? I sure can't!

Instead of holiday creation, I have another birthday card to share with you for my Shop Pumpkin Spice post today! This one is a rather simple one again with some more clean lines. I've really been loving working with kraft lately so here it is again :)

I've used papers from the delicious Bo Bunny Sweet Tooth 6x6 paper pad. If you don't have any kraft paper, you can also pick up it from Shop Pumpkin Spice here for a great price (as always). I used a Spellbinders die from the Doily Hearts set, also available at Shop Pumpkin Spice. The stamp is from the Birthday Letter Seals sentiments from Whimsy Stamps.

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts. We are in the process of moving from California to Oregon and we've had a heck of time trying to figure everything out. I'm sure it'll all be worth it though :)

Anywho, for today's post I cheated a bit and combined my Shop Pumpkin Spice weekly post with my Whimsy Stamps showcase post! I used some gorgeous Bo Bunny papers from the Blitzen 6x6 paper pad. I really like the non-traditional colors that are in this collection. There are definitely a lot of color combinations that I would not have thought to use for winter/holiday cards, but I think it came together perfectly! I also tried my hand a coloring on kraft again, something that I hadn't done for a long time, and I was actually somewhat satisfied with the results. The image looks better in real life. As I mentioned, today's card is also for the Whimsy Stamps Showcase Day #2 for the November 2011 Release! For my card, I've used several of the new release stamps and dies. It was so difficult to choose which image to work with, but I went with Crissy's Cool Pony. I think the little girl is so cute and Crissy's horses are always the best. If you've never seen her line of carousel horses at Whimsy, you MUST check them out.

The sentiment that you see on the top left corner of the image is a new line of sentiments and dies that we have called "Notables." This particular one is from the Winter Notables 1 sentiments set. I cut it out by hand, but there is also a matching Notables 1 die to go along with it. The fancy frame that holds it is cut out using the new Elegant Notables 1 die. This die is current sold out (geez, that was fast), but maybe you can find one at a your favorite Whimsy retailer? I'm surprised, yet pleased, that it has sold out so quickly :)

I cut out a ton of snowflakes using the Layered Snowflakes die set. In the center of the snowflakes are brads from the Echo Park Happy Days Brad Assortment. I stamped the twill ribbon with a sentiment from the Sleigh Ride set. Stamping on twill was really fun and you will for sure see more of this in the future once all my stuff is out of storage :) The sentiment was stamped using StazOn Stamp Pad in Jet Black. This is the only stamp pad I trust on different types of surfaces - it really just "stay on" very well!

Winter's Butterflies

Hello! I hope everyone has had a great week so far :) Mine is a bit unforgettable, lots of things happened, but I don't want to bore you with those details.

For today's post, I have a rather simple winter card to share with you. I used papers from Echo Park Season's Greetings, which may be my favorite Christmas line for this year. The edges were all distressed with Distress Ink Tea Dye. The snowflakes were cut using Spellbinders Create-a-flake 3, which is available from SPS for a very good price! The label was also cut with a Spellbinder die (Fancy Tags). The pearls were made using Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Cream.
