Tamil Nadu government launches the Arasu Cable network

2011-09-02T18:46:00.000+05:30

The government of tamil nadu launched the Arasu cable network to stop the monopoly of maran brothers in the Cable network business. It has overwhelming support from the Cable operators and the public because of the cheaper rates.

However the most popular pay channels are off the air.. The CM has indicated that they would be available soon but there is no time frame for the return of these pay channels.. The channels include the Sun group, Zee Turner group, Star group and other private players who offer various pay channels that are immensely popular in both rural and urban tamil nadu..

Is Communism another Religion?

2010-02-21T19:09:00.005+05:30

A Religion is a Set of Blind Beliefs built upon a lifeless "Supernatural Stuff" and it discusses with the Origin, Purpose and the Functioning of the Universe and circles around Human beings. All the religions in the World point that of the "Natural-Existing-Living beings" Humans are the greatest and the Final Creation with the most Advanced Organs and the Advanced Settings ..Meanwhile it teaches some Moral Codes that has to be followed.. Some Moral Codes are really immoral..

But what Religion proposes is hypothetical.. ,It says about a moral god creating immoral beings,,the truth is its the essential art of humanity to ascribe power, reality and agency to things that have no life within themselves..It could vary from wooden pieces or stone pieces or some books or some paper which they feel is always true has no mistakes and is more powerful than themselves etc..

Why should i call communism a religion..well Communism behaves in the same way as an organised religion..It proposes all the people in the world should be treated equally and that contradicts "Survival of the Fittest" which is the reality. Also the Followers tend to believe blindly in what the Leaders said,. may be What Lenin said could be morally right but the whole world cannot live under Equal Profit,, There should be a Loss which is "An Equal opposite reaction" .. It functions just like an organised religion and it tells that the world will pass through a revolution and then there will be the time of Socialism where all the people will be equal.. And then what happens after that?it fails to explain..Similar are the views of Judgement day, There will be a judgement day, god will arrive punish the evil and then people would live happily ever after..I dont why that evil was allowed to exist in the first place..

Well, If communism is compatible with the natural world it should be followed in some place by some kind of organism..But The Whole natural world lives on "Killing for a Living" and "Exploitation",,..If Communism is the reality, there is no chance for the evolution of lion which survives only on "exploitation of other animals"..Homo sapiens are animals.. a kind of Animals. they follow the same things, the rules.. Similarly while questioning Religion, The Creation of a lion by a peace loving god is certainly contradictory..

But Communism has its own set of blind believers and so does Christianity, Islam or whatever faith.. This foolish or ignorant system can be called in general - religion.. And hence Communism is another religious belief which lacks only a supernatural being..

The Hypothesis of God and how it fails..

2010-02-14T18:33:00.007+05:30

Why should i call God as hypothesis? because it has been never proved.. And well, strictly speaking all the evidence in the Universe point in the direction against god.. Well lets see how This hypothesis is false..

Nature of God:

Every religion and every denomination inside a Religion has a different type of God/Gods.In Hinduism there is a large number of gods with Unique powers just like the Roman, Egyptian, Greek, Nordic Myths..In Islam there is one "True" God who has no shape or space and the followers should not worship stone/ wooden symbols, But they should worship Ink or murals showing the name of god and also the book...The Christian God has a son called Jesus. When we examine closely we can understand that One version of God is certainly not compatible with the Other.. But every version has its own set of believers..The Huge following of People cannot make something as real..

Source of God:

The simple Argument posted by every single theist is that Everything in the World has a source and its god.. Well a new set of questions rises simply "What Created God ? What is the Purpose for God? What is the aim for creation?" Well it seems that The hypothesis of god is a primitive, out-dated, escapist Answer for the Questions that cannot be answered at that time..

The Nature of Design :

The Creator God in Monotheistic Religions is considered to be Omnipotent, Omnibenevolent , Omniscient , Omnipresent that he is almighty,all-powerful,all-wise,etc etc.. Well they say this Creator creates everything in the World. He(God is supposed to be males) makes no flaws in creation.. That means all his products shouldn't err at any time..

If God Is good and he doesn't make errors and also creates everything, Things such as Evil, bad, errors, faults shouldn't be present.. Then what is the source of all evil? Evil came out of nothing?(which they say as impossible-everything should come from a Source..) This leads to two situations.. Both contradict the Religious Theories of God.. One Situation is Either God is faulty or not capable or is bad... Second situation is He didn't create everything.. The Conclusion is simple the hypothesis is false..

Another 1965?

2009-02-02T12:14:00.003+05:30

Tamil Nadu is tensed over the Lankan Tamil Issue, Many people are getting into the Streets due to the Problem,. Many Questions arise whether a repetition of 1965 is possible? This is no Sudden rise of this Tamil Nationalism. It was an expected one, Tamil Extremism has found a good Working Space in the Internet, Slogans such as "Tamilan illada naadu illai, tamilanuku endru oru naadu illai" are common for Tamils in Net.....

Nationalism and Extremist Slogans for Ethnic Groups rise on desperate feelings in the Hearts of young men of the Ethnic Group.

The Political Arena in Tamil Nadu now consists of multi numnber of Fighters. Some have taken up the cause of the Eezham Tamils. Another Boom in the Tamil Nationalist feelings have risen.Just as it did in 1965. But in 1965 it was perfectly orchestrated by the DMK. Now there is no Powerful Movement or Leader in the Organising list to do the 1965 trick once again. This simply doesnt mean things will get easier in coming days.

History has shown that Every time a Political Unrest rises only on a background of an Economic Crisis. Well everything Revolt,Revolution has the Same source. A Crisis is the Mother of all Evils such as Right Wing Extremism and also the Mother of Revolutions! And at the Present Global Condition, where America Inc. has been falling, it is taking away the IT sector, soon every Sector dependent on US will fall. It will hit India, esp Tamil Nadu very Well. Tamil Nadu has most of its vibrant youth in MNCs. The Recruitment of these Companies have fallen, Soon they will begin emptying the ones already inside, This creates a huge unemployment crisis which can fuel the Political Unrest very well. Anything can happen in TN, But there is no chance for another 1965 win the near future(for about 5 months)...

But there is no solution for Ethnic Crisis and Equal Rights unless people of all ethnic groups are taught properly to live together in peace and harmony.

Why I dont support a Seperate Eezham?

2009-02-02T11:20:00.002+05:30

Didnt Blog for many days, But cant resist things like these,. Lets Scroll into today's hottest in Tamil Nadu, Its the Lankan Civil War or the Eezha viduthalai por or whatever you may call it.

Yes I do understand my fellow Tamils' cry that Sinhalese are doing Attrocities. Its an accepted fact that Srilankan Govt is not giving equal status to Tamils. There was Ethnic genocide. They have the right to fight against these Crimes.Just like Che said , "When Injustice becomes the Law , Resistance becomes our Duty", the War can be justified. But, Is it a good Solution to have two Nations in the same small Island? How could this be possible, Lets see the Future, The Tamils secure their Land and announce their Independence and formed proper Government. Then what about the rest of the requirements of the Country. They forget an important Word,"Economy"..

Is the Land of North and East of Lanka so resourceful? Can they satisfy their devolopment needs in Post War Nation? Take the Rivers of Eezham, Most of them have their Origins ni Sinhala Lanka. Then How could the Nation survive? A Nation formed only for Equal Rights cannot survive until it could satsify the Peaceful living , the Hunger and the Needs of its people.. The Vision of Eezham is Narrow and its not having a long sight!

The Only Solution for the Lankan Problem is not Two Seperate Yolks in the same Egg. The Srilankan Nation should give equal rights for all the People. Lets have a broader mindset,We shall not fight alone for the Tamils in Lanka but also the Voiceless, poor Sinhalese who are suppressed, People who suffer, We can take Arms to fight for them also. People should learn to live together.I remember now of a Scorpions' Song, "We all live under the same sun, We all live under the same Moon, Then why cant we live as one?"

Truth, Responsibility, Media...

2008-12-25T13:13:00.002+05:30

India has been suffering an Economic crisis hidden by other public matters like Antulay ,Pakistan and Terrorism..So there are many Rocking Matters in India,So how is the Public informed about this. Our fourth Pillar "The Media" is one of the most magical Pillar of our Nation. It could make a lion to show as a Lamb and vice versa.Surely it has blown all the things out of Proportions and made India more uglier.

When Terrorists were hiding and attacking in Hotels in Mumbai, These Television Media had shown their Horrific face. They telecasted the Operation live. The Positions taken by NSG commandoes and the Helicopter actions and all kinds of aims by the Security personnel were telecasted live. These Reports only helped the Terrorists inside and their Operating heads elsewhere.

These where not the Solo cases of Irresponsibility, These Media created Hype , Hue and Cry over many Irresponsible things. But their presence was completely zero in time of need. For Example, Aarushi murder probe recieved a greater Audience around India. Aarushi and Her family lived in Noida one of the Richest Parts of the Nation. Why could not the Same Media telecast the Lakhs of Farmers who suicided in Poor India?

These Media yell when there is a fall in Stock Market and any kind of Regulations for it.A Maximum of 10 % of People directly or Indirectly invested in Stock Market. But what about the 70 % Rural India? They wont,These People in villages are simple neglected India!

During a Crisis, These media bring a set of People to set in front of Camera and explain a view that is Purely Psychotic. For Example, Pakistan and India are expected to have the Peace Relationship between them And at this point one Private Media telecasts a Program whether a War on Pakistan could realy help India. This has spread hatred amongst the People. This media is the One which could praise the glamour in Movies and call these Glamour Queens as Indian Icons.Mainstream Indian Media never worried about the Killing of Indian Fishermen by Srilankan Navy but are more worried about the "Ghajini" release..

The Message I intend to say from this Posting is, "We as the People of this Nation should be able to Properly distinguish the News which would be useful for us and which is intended to divert us from Real Problems!"

Poverty reduced in India?

2008-12-24T11:35:00.010+05:30

The Rich Indian Media everyday sings the Same old song, India shining and its growing fast and is going to become a Super Power. How far is this true?Lets have a small Analysis.

The Poverty Line is a common measure around the World to show the Richness of a country.India in the 1978 had 54.6 % of people belowPoverty Line, In 1991 it had 26.1% of people below poverty line. So indeed it looks like our poverty has reduced. But what's the Problem with Farmers all over the Country ?Why are they forced to Suicide?

So now lets look at our Poverty Line.On Average India's Poverty Line Marker is around 300 Rupees a Month for a whole Family.Lets take a small Family with just a husband and a wife.So this poverty Line which is around 300 rs is that each day a family gets around 10 Rs. A Tea costs around Rs 3. Lets take it as Rs 2.50 (easy for calculation)So if this husband and Wife get tea twice a day in morning and Evening then they are residing just in PL.If You are able to buy a Vadai in Extra then you are above Poverty Line! Worse is that 26.1% of Indian Families cant even afford to drink two Cups of Tea a day. Then on what Criteria could we say India is shining? But Let us maintain Main Stream Media's Potrayal as India is shining.

As Per Government Report on Unorganised Sector, 77% of India's Population cant even earn Rs 20 / Day. Midday Meal in Nagercoil costs a minimum of 25 Rs.Wow!Now again i say India is shining! On this Back Ground i wish you to read the Articles given by Renowned Economist Utsa Patnaik. Her Article delas with the Poverty Line and the Energy Intake by the Citizens. It gives an idea that though the Poverty Rate should be calculated for 2400 Calories/day/capita, The Govt on average takes 1800 Cal/day per capita. In India at present time , If we calculate Poverty on the basis of Energy Intake per person, the Poverty rate is 74.5 %.When Calculated on this way, The Percentage of People living below Poverty Line in 1978 is around 65.5% while in 2000 the Percentage is 74.5%. This shows our Poverty has increased all these years. The World Bank denotes that 33% of the World's Poor live in India.Damn! Now i am sure! India is shining.

The Only Conclusion is Poverty has never decreased in India, Only the Poverty Line has been decreased. Now Everyone can say India is rich. Thanks to our Neo-Liberal Capitalists. We must be proud of them because they made India look rich, even when it is Poor!

Using System Configuration Utility in Win XP

2008-12-13T13:33:00.007+05:30

The System Configuration Utility is a very Powerful Tool. Its very Useful when the PC is hit by a Virus and the Registry Editor and Task Manager are Disabled.

To Open System Configuration Utility ,

Go to Start-->Run and type "msconfig".

This opens the System Configuration Utility.

There are 7 Tabs in the Window,The First 5 (General,System.ini,Win.ini,Boot.ini,Services) will be of no use for us when we want to tackle the Virus hits. The Last two Tabs (Startup and Tools) can be used for hunting down Virus.

Now to Close all the unwanted programs that run when the Sytstem Starts, We can use the Startup Tab.The Start up Tab shows all the Programs that have been registered to Run when the System starts. It Displays the Registry Key and the Location of the File that runs. The User can enable all the Programs or Disable All the Programs using the Buttons provided at the Bottom.Or to shutdown an illegal process, we can uncheck it, by clicking on the tick mark near it.Then Click OK.The File location should be noted down so that we can delete the Virus File afterwards.

Normally, Virus could affect the Registry Editor Server and disable it.So, Now we open the Tools Tab in the System Configuration Utility. This Tab displays the basic Window Component Programs such as Registry Editor , Task Manager, System Restore,etc.....The User can open the Registry Editor or Task Manager through this by selecting them and using the Launch button on the Bottom.

Now, To ensure the file doesnt run again, we Should use the Registry Editor.Search for the Illegal File names in The Registry Editor using Edit-->find. Delete all the matching Registry Keys.To Enable Resitry Editor which was disabled ,We could set the User Permissions for the Registry Editor. It is done by opening Edit---> Permissions, For the users whom you want the registry editor to work, select the user and click on Allow.Bang! Registry Editor opens normally.

Browser Wars and My Ratings

2008-12-08T17:12:00.020+05:30

The Browser Wars have returned after the release of Microsoft Corp's Internet Explorer8,Mozilla's Firefox 3.0 and Google Inc's Chrome. I regularly use all the three browsers which made me to provide these ratings for these Browsers...I have compared the Working of Internet Explorer 8, Mozilla Firefox 3.0, Google Chrome 0.4

Security:

As for as Security is concerned, The Internet Explorer is very open for Attacks,Chrome and Firefox environment are different hence secure when compared to IE8.Firefox and Chrome prevent Malware sites better than IE8.

Speed:

Chrome is very fast when compared to other browsers. IE 8 and Ff3.0 do not live upto the

expectations given by Chrome.

Stability:

The Stability of the browser, Its ability against Crashing is taken into account. Chrome is excellent and so is IE8. Both the browsers are very stable.

Vulnerability:

Vulnerability against Infections and Other malfunctions is relatively low in Chrome,FF3 and IE8 are more vulnerable to attacks.

Popup Blocking:

Popup blocking is an important part while analysing a Browser.IE8 and FF3 easily allow popups, infact i used Google Toolbar and stuffs like that to prevent popups in these browsers.Again Chrome faired well.

Various Software Supporting:

In this Category, It shows how browsers fare in supporting External Thirdparty SWs.All the Browsers are more or less having the Same rating here, while IE8 takes Slender lead.

Userfriendliness:

In this Part, I have analzed how a browser could be easliy used by a new-surfer.Chrome is infactr good for Regular and standardised user, but new users cannot easily find the Settings or even the Cut, Copy ,Paste things in Chrome unless they know the Shortcuts its not easy.In this Category IE8 tops.

Features and Addons:

This Part deals with extra Addons that could be used with the browser, Things like Unicode Typers, Various Third Party Plugins.FF3 is very strong in this Category. It allows almost every addon that makes it on the top , Whereas in Chrome the Feature is completely absent.

Unique Features:

In this part, I hav shown my Ratings for Extra Stuff in the Browser that makes the Browser more Edgy.Chrome's Own Taskmanager ,Application Shortcut creator takes it to the Frontline!

Themes and Appearances:

Chrome lacks the User to install User preferred themes for now, This Situation may change as full versions of Chrome may come in market.FF3 has more features in it allowing installations of Themes in it.

Overall: Chrome is far better than Other Browsers. All though the Rating may show equality , Chrome is very good for regular and more Broader Internet Users.

IE 8:

+ves: Stability, Userfriendliness, Comes along with Windows so need to install it Seperately

-ves: Not Fast enough,Less Secure and More Vulnerable

Firefox 3.0:

+ves: Addons and its Features, Appearance and Flexibility

-ves : Easily Crashes, Performance is not as per expectations.

Chrome:

+ves: Speed, Secure, Inbuilt Features such as Task manager, Application shortcuts,Stable

-ves : No Offline Stand-alone Installer, Less Appearance Features, Absence of Unicode Text Entering ability.

Chrome Tricks

2008-12-07T19:37:00.003+05:30

There are many features in Google Chrome Browser like adding Application shortcuts for Websites in Desktop, Quicklaunch bar ,Startmenu etc..It has an inbuilt Task manager which can be used in Closing Problematic Tabs. Chrome also allows a Private mode(Incognito).

Themes in Google Chrome :

Adding Themes to Google Chrome Browser is not Straight and not an authorized method. Its indirectly done by replacing original theme file with another!

1. Download Google Chrome Themes available in various websites lieke www.freechromethemes.com
2. Extract the files from the archive
3. Go to the following location: (Replace with your username)
For Windows Vista -
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\0.2.149.27\Themes
For Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\LocalSettings\AppData\Google\Chrome\Application\0.2.149.27\Themes
4. Copy over Default.DLL from your extracted file into your Themes folder ((Don’t forget to backup your existing default.dll file)
5. Open up Google Chrome, You have a new theme installed.

The About:Pages Features:

In Firefox and many other Browsers Users are allowed to open many about:pages that can be useful in detecting, analyzing and changing the Settings of the Browsers.Firefox allows us to edit in the about:config page. Editing in this page really allows users to switch settings, increase speed etc..
But Chrome doesn't allow us to edit though it allows to view many kinds of Statistics.
1. about:version - Google Chrome shows the version number the browser, WebKit and V8(JavaScript engine)
2. about:plugins - the list of plug-ins that are available in Google Chrome like Shockwave Flash player , RealPlayer etc.
3. about:cache - a list of all the web pages cached by Google Chrome. The Chrome doesn't have an option to limit the cache's size, so it's recommended to regularly empty the cache.Deleting the Cache may increase the speed of the Browser.
4. about:memory - this pages compares the memory used by all the active browsers and by Google Chrome's tabs.
5. about:stats - Displays a list of internal counters and timers that has a funny subtitle "Shhh! This page is secret!".
6. about:histograms - a list of histograms for Google Chrome's internal metrics.
7. about:dns - Google Chrome gives the DNS records for 10 frequently visited hosts.
8. about:network - this page could be used for I/O tracking. Click on "Start I/O tracking", open a web page in a new tab and you'll get a list of all the images, scripts and objects loaded from that web page.It can also show current Input/output that is done through the Browser.
9. about:crash - crash the active tab. Google Chrome displays the "sad tab" image, followed by this message: "Something went wrong while displaying this webpage. To continue, press Reload or go to another page".This can be done when the Tab is faulting.
10. about:hang - type this in the address bar of a tab when there's already an active web page to hang the process (this means that the process no longer accepts any signal, but it's still running). The other tabs will continue to work and the active tab can be closed.
11. about:internets - This is an Easter egg that shows the Series of tubes similar to the Screen saver in Windows.

More Tipz n Trikz are waiting to be discovered.

Quotes from Raj

2008-12-06T19:11:00.000+05:30

Raj proudly presents the words he yelled into the Atmosphere , The list may increase but for now all these would satisfy, Here he deals with Love,Social messages,....

On being asked Why he was wearing Footwear during a prayer in the Marriage house Young Raj said, "Oh,Please don't think that i am wearing a footwear , Consider that i am standing in a nine inch Carpet that moves along with me!"

Love:

As she saw me, A breeze so gentle and so rejoicing blew.Though pleasant
it tore my heart and opened its gates so that her feelings could enter
mine........

As soon as Night broke in the hands of the sun in the far Eastern Seas,My
eyes opened with little hope that i could see her,But As the day crawled
over i lost my race against the ever running time and when the
evening wind blew,It scattered all the hope that was left in them. But
when night followed i slowly followed my viens and found her.

Nightingales sing,Peacocks dance,Sparrows play. But this bird alone glances!

My dear love,Please ask your lips not to smile anymore,My heart stops
working when it does!

Come out,see the skies.the bright moon.oh dear!its your face! The stars
that twinkle those must be your smiles.I follow your glow, fascinated
and wondered by your beauty.

This world now is silent and your heart is too.
My dear, when would ir realize that i am waiting for you........

Rains have lashed and now he quotes like the Rains!

The thunders told me many stories,The rain drops provided the rhythm.I
feel less alone,as i walked into.As i walked into the rain watching
the dormant birds I was happy that no one could see my tears..

Each rain drop has some thing new to say.Hear them.
They have their own rhythm.Feel them.
Each lighting sparks your illusions.learn to use them.
Each mind like mine tries to enjoy them.Follow them!

The drops hanging on the wire, tempted by their friends who fell
earlier, waiting anxiously for their turn to fall down. They don't
know that someone close to them has been enjoying watching them with the
eye of joy and care..

The dormant birds,Hidden blue skies,Wet leaves,Egg carrying ants,My
unbridled mind. All ask the same question,"Where are those swarming
butterflies?"
They left a letter saying "enjoy the rain"..

Watching the rain behind a closed glass window,With the rain drops
dotted on the glass, the thunders outside, the darkness inside, the
motionless air,all are praying 2 enjoy because nothing lasts forever even
these cold october rains..

Dear Sunshine,
I love u,I must tell you of things that happen down here that you are unable
2 see.I'm color blind, for now i could only see greens and greys. My pen
here lies bleeding,it wasn't used for many days.but today these
cascading waters made me 2 take it.i really loved your presence when there
were blue skies, gentle breeze, but your absence had shown me a different world.I
have to say these with my pure mind.
i love your absence too............

I miss the words called "Social Consciousness"

2008-12-06T11:04:00.000+05:30

Two days before i had to go to Thirunelveli for a marriage. I and mom had to travel by bus. When my Grandma was living in Thirunelveli we used to travel almost every week But now my travels outside Kanniyakumari District has decreased considerably. Mom and I took an Express bus (SETC) from Vadasery Bus stand. We hoped for a time saving journey. As we boarded the bus , we saw inside and in every pair of the seats one young man was sitting in the Window seat.No one was willing to change their seats so that a woman could sit. But the Conductor tried his best and ensured two seats for me and mom. Then minutes later, a couple arrived, again no one was willing. This time i changed my seat so that the lady could sit with my mom. The lady smiled and her husband showed his grievances that no one was generous nowadays.

After some time the journey started. After traveling almost one and half hours we reached Valliyoor. Now two ladies and a man boarded. The women were dressed in purdah. There was no seat for the ladies. In my seat i and another young man were sitting. That man too was reluctant to change his seating. The man in front of me was asked by the conductor to change, but he simply said no...The women and the man had to step down the Bus even though there was almost 16 seats free!

This incident had made an wound in my heart. No one is willing to offer seat for ladies even though there was lot of seats for them to sit. All these youngsters were very selfish. This is not just a stray incident. Selfishness in the Country has grown into great levels. A whole generation of Youngsters have been taught to grow selfishly.

The Liberalization era has marked the creation of the new Society where there will be no place for Common Sense. All these youngsters were looking little lavish and seemed like they were working in IT field. Also the Bus was heading to Bengaluru , the IT hub. It makes me wonder what is the Use of educating this society which shows no sign of developing the Social consciousness in people. What will these men do for the Nation? There is certainly 0% chances of them being Patriotic. The Americans who never voted a Black president in their 200 year history voted for one during an economic crisis, This society also would change only when a crisis hits it. The Joker quote of Batman The Dark knight movie was very much right, "When the chips are down these civilized people will eat each other".These people are living in a Matrix, where there is no social reality. A False world where the Conscious Thinking of the Slaves has been suppressed for the welfare of the masters. Here the Masters are the Corporate Super Rich who have shown these youngsters growing in an irresponsible, unreal , selfish world through their own media and their own Economics.A society of Selfish people will never last long, It is likely to celebrate its own funeral soon...

I wish some Conscious people would be in the head of the curve when these Curtains fall down!
