Amazing. Now I can update my blogs while I am moving. Recently I bought a new mobile SAMSUNG HERO189 just because it has mobile tracker option and free talk time of 1400 rupees. While checking what is new I found internet browser. I have downloaded it immediately and started doing what I do mostly using browser. As much of my content is online things are pretty easy now. Today it occured that why not try blogger, as I am already twittering. Except size of the screen and limited keyboard I am able to do everything I do with a PC or Laptop. Thanks for TATAINDICOM, SAMSUNG and Opera team for making things happen.

Instead of launching online information service and providing information on phone, we are able to serve people interested in updated and latest information of Rajahmundry by asking relevant questions and giving them right answers. This made this project to run on unimaginably low resources and accessible to everyone interested in Rajahmundry information. The whole project is run with no programmers and designers at hand and people who are trained only for a month or less. I think this due to widespread of use of mobile phones.

There is an acute demand for a updated directory services and helpline on phone for Rajahmundry. The existing printed directories are not comprehensive as they are only publishing paid listings and printing limited copies which are not available for general public as and when needed. There are many websites started past one decade which are neither comprehensive nor well structured. Those who exist are cluttered with ads and I suspect they cant breakeven with those ad revenue. There is one very ambitious non commercial project started in February, 2007 in the name of Project Vyas to fulfill the needs of Rajahmundry people and people interested in Rajahmundry information. Many HR departments of reputed companies are viewing Rajahmundry for their outsourcing needs, recruiting employees either for part time or fulltime employment are the major searchers in search engines. There is some good content being added and updated regularly at Wikipedia about Rajahmundry but provides partial information.

BSNL about to release new telephone directory for 2008

BSNL India, Rajahmundry Division is going to publish their 2008 directory soon. Normally BSNL publishes only whitepages ( alphabetical listings of all subscribers list) but now they have taken decision to publish Business Directory (yellow pages) along with white pages which will be distributed free along with regular directory. There is an estimate of more than 1,40,000 copies to be printed which is largest ever Telephone directory published in East Godavari District so far. Majority of the subscribers are business users who still retaining their connection because the cheaper calling rates and the BSNL numbers associated to their businesses for decades.

The contract was successfully bid by Indiacom.Ltd a Pune based information services company to print the directory for consecutive three issues to be printed including 2007 directory. It is expected that it will release by the end of 2007. Vyass Information Center, Rajahmundry is happy to announce that they have been chosen by Indiacom.Ltd to be their official franchisee to collect the data required to publish Business Directory and Collect Advertisements on behalf of Indiacom.Ltd in East Godavari District.
