The nation though is regarded as emerging economy has been plagued with grave issues galore for instance poverty, corruption, gender bias, terrorism and naxalism.

The Corrupts, cheats and swindlers are tweaking and abusing the system to plunder public coffers and fill up their home with the siphoned off money. They are hardly caught and if ever they are caught for their blasphemous act of plundering public coffers and abusing power, they get away easily using their links in political corridor. The system has collapsed, its only working for affluent and influential, many of them are from criminal and corrupt background.

The once in five year drama in the guise of elections is going on in five states, Manipur, Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand and U.P. As U.P holds significance stature in nation’s political corridor, acclaimed political clans have plunged into the political landscape of U.P. Gandhi family with scion Rahul, Mulayam Singh with scion Akhilesh, politically spent force, Kalyan Singh with son Rajvir Singh, and host of other small and tall leaders are seen reaching out to people to woo them for votes.
Sounds bizarre but this is how politics is being run in India, these so called tall leaders of Indian polity hardly pay visit to U.P to take note of its embarrassing development issues. The State is being looked upon as a meat for politics as it sends maximum number of M.Ps in the parliament. Barring this status, the state has been acclaimed for all the appalling reasons, corruption, poverty, crime, nepotism, rape, murder across the nation.

To appease the voters, BJP has imported their fire brand leader, Uma Bharati. The party still has to come out from Ram Mandir. Congress on the other hand is banking on their Gandhi family scion, Rahul Gandhi and his suave sister, Priyanka Gandhi. Everyone is taking potshots on opponent to score the all important points and woo voters.

Rahul says: “Elephant in U.P eats money but grass.” Hmm I would like to ask Rahul, when your own house is in disarray, how can you raise fingers on others. Your party colleagues were found allegedly involved in scam after scam, all to siphon off money from public coffers. Who can forget the mother of all scam, 2G scam, wherein exchequer lost mammoth money to the tune of Rs One Lakh Seventy Six Thousand crore, the other notable scams, wherein cheats in the guise of leaders plundered money include CWG and Adarsh Society scam. The action followed was just an eyewash. BJP on the other hand too should introspect before claiming that they are better than Congress, the Karnataka saga is there for all to see.

Maya mamsaab is a shrewd politician, she plays her scheduled caste card intelligently by emotionally blackmailing S.C and OBC voters to support her as she claims: “She truly represents their cause.” Mulayam on the other hand too playing the same caste politics to garner support. Since the last two decades, the reign of the state has been swinging between these two parties. They have ruined the state, employment opportunities are receding, in terms of FDI and industrialization, U.P stands nowhere near the top 5 states. The state has become synonymous to poverty, rampaging corruption and crime statistics. It is now billed as sick state. All parties have fielded tainted, corrupt, and alleged murderers. Of course they will loot money, the way Kalmadi and Raja plundered.

Who is responsible for this shocking state of affairs in U.P? What’s the way out? Question are many and answers are few.

The once in five year drama in the guise elections is on in U.P once again. Why? Reason is obvious, fool the gullible people, milk the state and let people suffer, the way they have been suffering.

When will people of U.P start pondering to rise above the caste politics, and vote for the deserving candidate? Sooner or later, it will happen, the way it happened in Bihar.

He was born into an affluent family, his father Vishwanath Datta had served in Calcutta High Court as an attorney, while his mother Bhuvneshwari Devi was a house wife. It was Bhuvneshwari Devi’s teachings and knowledge that had indubitable impact on the mind and personality of Vivekananada.

At a time when India was known mere as a land of famines, poverty, snakes, jungles, slaves and robbers, he presented an unheard side of India at the prestigious Parliament of Religions on September 11, 1893 and received huge round of applause for his knowledge of spiritualism, Vedanta, Geeta and other religions. His marvellous outlook coupled with brilliant knowledge and tolerance for all mesmerized whoever came in his contact.

His teachings and philosophy about life are based on rationalisation and reflects Geeta, these have been inspiring millions of youths not only in India but across the world. Many historic figures have also showered praise on saint’s personality and his contribution in building India. Father of nation Mahatma Gandhi, revolutionary leader Subhash Chandra Bose, former president S. Radhakrishnan are some of the icons of India who have had inspiration from Vivekannada.

Nobel laureate Ravindranath Tagore had once said on this saint “If you want to know India, study Vivekananda. In him everything is positive and nothing negative." While Mahatma Gandhi wrote Swami Vivekananda's writings need no introduction from anybody. They make their own irresistible appeal."

This great saint of India left for heavenly abode on July 4, 1902, in a fitting tribute to the saint, government of India celebrates his birthday January 12, every year as “National Youth Day”.

The 21 day long initiative will focus on propagating one of the acclaimed yogas, Surya Namashkar across the nook and corner of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

The Swayamsevaks from 19 Shakhas of IT Milan spread across Hyderabad and Secunderabad have been entrusted with the task to reach out to people living in their neighborhood and instill in them one of the ancient cult yogas, Surya Namashkar as part of the Surya Namashkar Yajna. Wherever they are they can initiate the initiative.

Why Surya Namashkar Yajna? The thought process behind this whole exercise needs to be dissected before plunging into any sort of conclusion, is it worth practicing or mere idea to propagate Hindu values among the masses in the name of Surya Namashkar Yajna.

The initiative reminds me of one famous quotation from one of the legends of Indian History. “Go back to the Vedas” expressed by Swami Dayananda Sarswati magnetizes us to delve into our rich ancient history, culture and heritage to enlighten us. And Surya Namashkar Yajna is one such element of rich Hindu heritage.

The ancient Indian yoga practice of Surya Namashkar (Salutation to Sun God) is absolutely fraught with benefits galore. The yoga comprises a series of body postures and movements called asanas, 12 asanas make one cycle of Surya Namashkar. The series comprises spreading of backbone backwards and forwards and inhalation and exhalation of fresh air. As per Vedas as the name suggests, we salute the Sun god, the Surya Namashkar yoga should be performed at sun rise but can be practiced as per your suitability, no hard and fast rule.

At the onset of Surya Namashakar, the following Mantras are chanted:
 Om Mitraaya Namah
 Om Ravaye Namah
 Om Suryaaya Namah
 Om Bhaanave Namah
 Om Khagaaya Namah
 Om Puushne Namah
 Om Hiranyagarbhaaya Namah
 Om Mareechaye Namah
 Om Aadityaaya Namah
 Om Savitre Namah
 Om Arkaaya Namah
 Om Bhaaskaraaya Namah
 Om Shree Savitru Suurya Naaraayanaaya Namah
Benefits of Surya Namashkar

Whether you would like to execute Surya Namashkar in your day to day life or not, it rests on your discretion, but through my experience, I can say, it’s incredible. Here are some of its incredible benefits:
 Relieves stiffness
 Invigorates entire body
 Refreshes mental faculty
 Improves flexibility of the body
 benefits joints, ligaments
 Improves body posture Instills new energy
 Improves functioning of prominent systems like cardiovascular, respiratory and digestive
 Improves the functioning of glands like thyroid, parathyroid and pituitary glands
Well, some critic, self-styled intellectuals, I am sure will definitely smell rat even in this wonderful initiative of R.S.S, spread Surya Namashkar among masses and instill in them the virtues of intellect, meditation, discipline, and healthy lifestyle.

The execution of Surya Namashakar is really the need of the hour in this beautiful country as our social fabric is swiftly crumbling under corruption, nepotism and dwindling ethical values.

In this contemporary world fraught with happiness and sorrow, ups and downs, work pressure, family stress, the Surya Namashkar yoga can be a blessing in disguise. Bring peace to your mental faculty, improve concentration, and do away with stress practicing and adopting Surya Namashkar in your daily life.

The profession has been one of the most sought after in India and magnetizes many a talented individual.

Having said that ironically even this noble profession has not remained untouched with the demon of corruption, and plummeting ethical values in the domain. The latest instance of medial domain touching low is an eleven day strike of government doctors in Rajasthan (the 11day strike began on December 21, 2011). The strike crippled medical services across government hospitals.

The callousness from the professionals who are many a time referred to as at par with the god for delivering life saving services to patients encountering fatal diseases claimed about 80 lives. Request to call off strike by government officials and chief minister fell on deaf ears. The medical fraternity was hell bent on their sarcastic demands come what may. They took government to ransom to press for their demands and absolutely hijacked the medical services of the state; the chaos post strike was unwarranted and embarrassing as it shamed the profession. Who cares? Changing social dynamics are casting shadow on medical profession also.

TV footages on the episode were heartbreaking, saw fathers crying for their children, mothers weeping incessantly.

For a substantial period of eleven days medical services were paralyzed, patients were seen dying, their attendants running from pillar to post for medical treatment.

The Hippocratic Oath taken by physicians to discharge their services ethically is gradually losing its sheen and significance.

I had a word with one of my friends, Dr. Ankush, “Salary disparity is there between government hospitals and corporate hospitals. This issue should be addressed honestly. Reality is they are paid peanuts compared to other doctors in corporate hospitals. There is a long struggle to become a doctor” he said.

When I shared the plights and suffering caused to patients because of the strike, he said “They (Doctors) need to protest in some innovative way.”

The government of Rajasthan and Doctors have to be blamed for the eleven day chaos in medical services and loss of life. Stringent measures would have been taken right at the onset of the strike. There are medical practitioners galore in India who are ready to don the role of government doctors. Do away with the doctors who are shame for the noble profession. I want to ask these doctors, if you want higher, hefty pay package plunge into corporate hospitals but don’t let people from economically weaker sections of the society pay the price with their lives.

The crucial event was organized in Chiriyala village, Keesara Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, A.P, from December 24 to December 25, 2011. The venue is located about 45 km from the IT hub and state capital, Hyderabad.

Enough venom has been spewed against R.S.S by many a politician and self styled intellectuals. At times I feel, is it worth throwing mud at R.S.S and bash it persistently? Why often it is under the media scanner? Why it has been dubbed as a right wing Hindu organization? Why R.S.S has been labeled as a communal organization? Does R.S.S propagate hatred against any religion, community, sect or community?

These were some of the questions brewing in my mind since long. And there was strong desire in me to explore R.S.S and its ideology and satiate my conscience brewing with questions galore. Before making any conclusion on R.S.S, I wanted to delve into it. The thought was to come up with judicious opinion on R.S.S.

The captured article focuses on a speech tendered by Ravi Aiyar on the first day of the Hemant Shivir (December 24, 2011). I would like to share with readers; Ravi is heading (Saha Samyojak, Vishwa Vibhag) H.S.S, an affiliate of R.S.S which proliferates R.S.S’ ideology in foreign countries.

Brief Introduction of Ravi:

Chennai born Ravi is an alumnus of prestigious IIT. He holds a B.Tech degree in Instrument Technology, which he passed out in the year 1970. During his short professional career, he has been part of many a topnotch firm, including TATA and L&T.

Inspired by the philosophy of R.S.S and nationalism, Ravi relinquished his professional career in 1975 and plunged into national service. Since then he is working persistently in the interest of the nation, R.S.S and Hinduism.
Ravi is a name of repute in foreign countries on a wide spectrum of subjects these include Hinduism, Vedic Mathematics, Science and Hinduism, Vedic Astronomy, Yoga, and Hindu Deities. Over the years, he has been delivering insightful, thought provoking lectures in Universities, Institutes on a many a subjects like India, the Emerging Giant, India’s Contribution in Science and Technology, Indian Concept of Youth Leadership, Vedic Mathematics, Vedic Sciences, Ancient Indian calendar, Influence of Bhagwad Gita in the West, Indian Influence in South East Asian Countries, India, China, America – yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, Inspiring stories from Indian Epics, Inspiring stories from great men, Ramayana and Mahabharat.

The embodiment of Hindu philosophy, Ravi’s contribution towards the proliferation of Hindu philosophy and R.S.S’s ideology across geographies is inexpressible. He is hailed world over for his fathomless insight on Hindu philosophy. He has also penned down books on Hindu philosophy and its contribution in contemporary world, Glimpses of Hindu Genius, Ramayan Around The World – A Living Tradition, and Vedic Mathematics to name a few.

This shrewd personality was invited to address the Swayamsevaks converged from Secunderabad Vibhag.

The speech was inspiring, insightful and thought provoking. Addressing the Swayamsevaks Ravi emphasized on the need of Hindu philosophy, and its importance in contemporary World.

Addressing the Swayamsevaks Ravi said: “Hindu philosophy and belief are very strong, nobody can deter them. The Amarnath Yatra is one such example. Terrorists wanted to create fear among the Hindu devotees but failed to do, the number of devotees paying obeisance to Amarnath have never dwindled but surging. Kumbh Mela offers opportunity to Hindus from different parts of the country to converge and worship their deities.”

Ravi was of the opinion that belief in Hindu philosophy is not restricted to any social class or financial status, according to him: “Many rich people from Hindu religion have faith in its rich values and ethos. Influential business man like Anil Ambani visits famous pilgrimage, Tirupati regularly.”

Ravi pointed out that Parliamentarians also have faith in Hindu Philosophy: “The recent news on Gita ban in Russia rocked the parliament; this shows our politicians have faith in holy book, Gita”, he said.

The father of nation, Mahatma Gandhi too was inspired by great Hindu philosophy shared Ravi, he said: “The father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi had a great faith in lord Rama and Hinduism. He imagined Ram Rajiya and on his tomb at Rajghat an epitaph with Hey Ram is embedded, as this is the last word he uttered.”

Ravi highlighted the importance of Hindu philosophy in modern science, he said: “Scientists across the world are reaching out to Hinduism to find solutions on a wide spectrum of subjects like environment. They are realizing the value of medicinal values of Indian tress like Neem and Tulsi. Its our resource and their findings are being patented.”

The speech was very engaging and insightful, and also saw humorous side of Ravi. He took swipe at neighboring, Pakistan comparing India’s IT with Pakistan’s IT. On this the audience burst in laughter: “India has been acknowledged across the world for IT, our neighbor, Pakistan is not far behind, it is also known as IT hub as it is proliferating International Terrorism.”

Ravi further added: “Some fathers of churches in Europe and U.S have started greeting each other with Namaste as it means respecting god in you and me. U.S encourages its soldiers by reciting teachings of Geeta, soul is immortal and only body dies. Hinduism has solution to many a world problem, world has recognized it. R.S.S not only means Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh but also means Ready for Selfless Service. When devastating Katrina cyclone struck U.S, H.S.S Swayamsevaks plunged to offer their services. Laura Bush, wife of president Bush showered praise for H.S.S. Tony Blair too has appreciated the role of H.S.S. R.S.S doesn’t believe in casteism and we are working towards the empowerment of weaker sections of the society. We appreciate former chief justice of India, Balakrishnan and former president of republic of India, K.R Narayanana for their staggering feats though they hailed from weaker sections of Indian society. R.S.S take pride in creating many a stalwart for Indian politics, Former PM, Atal Bihri Bajpai and present CM of Gujarat, Narendra Modi are two of them. Hinduisms will usher in golden era in the days to come with R.S.S.”

The speech from Ravi left many a swayamsevaks spellbound as it triggered the feeling of self pride, nationalism. It gave lucid insight into rich Hindu philosophy, about which all Hindus should take pride and drive inspiration from it.

At no juncture, I saw Ravi delivering hatred against any religion or community. He was only offering and sharing rich insight about Hindu philosophy. The experience was great and will linger in my thoughts for long. Cynics and self-styled intellectuals should think twice before spewing venom against great national organization like R.S.S. Salvaging Hindu philosophy and proliferating it is not a crime.

Why some organizations and vested interests are after it? Why they want to malign its image? Is there a smear campaign going on to tarnish the image of R.S.S.? There are questions galore?

My endeavor behind attending the Hemant Shivir (Winter Camp) has been to find the answer to these and many other identical and controversial questions during my stint at the Secundrabad Vibhag’s Hemant Shivir.

In this article, I am endeavoring to capture my experience at the recently concluded Hemant Shivir. The pivotal annual event was organized in Chiriyala village, Keesara Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, A.P, from December 24 to December 25, 2011. The epicenter is located about 45 km from the IT hub and state capital, Hyderabad.

A vast area named after legendary Vivekananda, Vivekananda Puram spreading about 5 acres of land was designated for the purpose. Assembly area, residential area, kitchen were erected using tent and canopy. A ground for physical training and exercise was also earmarked. The whole planning, arrangement, management reminded me of Army scenario. At every entry and exit gate Rakshaks were deployed to keep a watch on participants called as Swayamsevaks.

In the centre of the Vivekananda Puram and squarely opposite to the main gate was statue of inspiring personality, Swami Vevekananda, the man who took world by storm with his awestruck speech at the Chicago World Religious conference in 1893. The legacy he left behind is inspiring generations and will keep on inspiring the generations to come. His stature in Indian civilization can be gauged from the fact that two legendary figure of modern India, the father of nation Mahatma Gandhi and the great Netaji, Subahash Chandra Bose drew inspiration from his philosophy and teachings.

The discipline was amazing; many a time left some of the Swayamsevaks spellbound and thinking whether they are attending a civilian organization’s camp or Armed Forces’ training camp. Having said that there was not even an iota of regret in any of the Swayamsevak’s mind as was visible in the vibrancy, optimism in the whole environment.

Swayamsevaks from Secunderabad Bhag converged for the camp organized during the season which experiences severe cold. About 1500 Swayamsevaks attended the camp.
The hectic two day schedule focused on a wide spectrum of subjects ranging from physical training to intellectual discussions, character building to nation building, physical competitions to R.S.S’s songs’ group rendition.

The whole environment within the premises was awesome, and inspiring. Positive vibes, self pride, and nationalism fervor filled the air. Swayamsevaks cutting across various social stratums were seen enjoying every bit of the wonderful camp. There was no specific caste, creed, or religion to boast of, it was nationalism and Hindu Philosophy that brought Swayamsevaks together and the only binding thread.

The Swayamsevaks comprised engineers, students, lawyers, doctors, lecturers, professors, writers, retired government personnel, political leaders, entrepreneurs, farmers and host of others. For two days they lived in tent erected in open air during severe cold without the luxuries of home. Why?

The cause was lucidly reflected in Swayamsevaks discipline, communication, they converged here for nationalism. Determined Swayamsevaks were seen enjoying every bit of the Hemant Shivir. That resolution was exhibiting from their body language, come what may they are ready for their mother land. They are ready to bear pain and sacrifice for the honor of the motherland.

Countering chilling cold conditions Swayamsevaks performed all the tasks with flying colors be it a yoga session or a wand martial art. Without fail they assembled sharp at 0600 am for physical training and drill involving many a stiff tasks like Dand Yudh (Wand war), Yoga and Martial art. Physical training instructor for Secunderabad Vihbag, Naveen and his support staff imparted physical training and drill with élan to Swayamsevaks.

Competitive events were organized among varied Bhag that falls under Secunderabad Vibhag like Quiz, Surya Namashkar, Subhashit, Geet, Speech, and Wand Skill. Malkajgiri and Kokatpally Bhag were the notable performers. Bharat and Prassana from IT Milan clinched the competition in speech.

Is it worth participating in such camps? Do we really inculcate anything from such camps? These were some of the questions consciously or subconsciously erupting in my mind? Also, some of the Swayamsevaks who were students and teenagers, do they comprehend something during such camps or are they blindly being made scape goat in the name of propagating cultural heritage among youths.

“I am with RSS since the last one year, am from Malkajgiri and a student of class IXth. Here I am learning about Country, discipline and our rich history” said Madhu.
Venkatesh, a class XIth student from Alvis praised R.S.S for inculcating patriotism among youths.

Another student Narendra from Malkajgiri said “I am with the R.S.S since the last five years and learning about unity and diversity of the nation.”

To delve further into the issue, I took an opportunity that came my way to have a formal discussion with Ayush and Jagan. Ayush is heading Intellectual section of Secunderabad Bhag while Jagan is a Pracharak. Many of the apprehensions about the camp, its objectives were resolved during the group discussion.

Emphasizing on the objective of the camp, Jagan shared: “The objective of the camp is to inculcate the habit of community living among the Swayamsevaks. The hardship they tolerated by living like a common man for two days, sleeping on ground, standing in queue for food etc will make them strong and determined to do national service as and when required.”

The highlight of the first day, December 24, 2011 was a speech from Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (H.S.S) head, Ravi Ayyar in the central hall. To readers, I would like to share that H.S.S is one of the affiliates of R.S.S, which is responsible for propagating R.S.S Ideology overseas.

The programme began with senior Swayamsevaks paying their obeisance to the idols of R.S.S founder Dr. Hedgewar, Mother, India and Gowalkar popularly known as Guruiji. Durga Reddy, Vibhag Sangh Chalak, Secunderabad was also present on the occasion.
The speech was inspiring, insightful and thought provoking. Addressing the Swayamsevaks Ayyar emphasized on the need of Hindu philosophy, and its importance in contemporary World.

Vinay, a budding entrepreneur from Rajasthan and based in Hyderabad is a proud Swayamsevak, he told me his family has been associated with the R.S.S since the last three generation, his grandfather too was a Swayamsevak.

Utsav, an IT engineer from Bihar and presently working with Kony Labs in Hyderabad enjoyed the two day Hemant Shivir. He was of the opinion that such camps inculcate Indian culture, values, heritage among youth.

Arun, an IT engineer with T.C.S presented different side of his experience, he said: “I like Sangh’s philosophy and the role it is playing in nation building but we should do something concrete on ground also like the way N.G.Os do. For example spreading IT education in an interior village and skill development centre for youth.”

Mangesh, a Karyawah with R.S.S. and is working with Wipro stressed the need for nation’s development, he said: ”Think about country, society also. Time hardly permits us to do these things, but if you love social and nation development, you can easily spare some time. We should spare time for nation development, the R.S.S ideology will be further proliferated through IT Milans. From 20 IT Milans in the days to come we will put our efforts to reach 50.”

The two day Hemant Shivir culminated at Nagaram town in a public ground with grand march-past by the Swayamsevaks. Skills of Swayamsevaks were up for public exhibition. Local people, students, businessmen, senior leaders from BJP, V.H.P and influential people flocked the ground to witness the grand ceremony. Swayamsevaks exhibited their skills in full public view. Music Band won the hearts of audience with heart touching compositions. Martial arts, Wand War, Yoga were also performed.

Sangh’s All India Social Activities Head, Subhash Rao addressed the audience and Swayamsevaks. He emphasized on the need of character building as only an individual with character intact can play a role in nation building. Rao shared an inspiring story from the life of great, Viveknanda, he said: “If you want to usher in prosperous time, be ready to endure pain, Vivekananda encountered huge problems before becoming a legendary figure. He slept in a wooden box to better the Chicago’s chilling winter. Be ready to bear pain for the country and draw inspiration from Vivekananda. R.S.S is a great organization dedicated towards the proliferation and salvage of Hinduism.” Rao invoked youth to play role in nation building.

During my two day sojourn at the Hemant Shivir, I didn’t come across even a single Swayamsevak who was against any religion or community. None of the senior Swayamsevak was indulging in hatred against any religion, sect or community. Its the media created hype and propaganda of vested interests to malign the image of such a great organization. R.S.S truly means Ready for Selfless Service for mother land. These so called intellectuals and contractor of India should think twice before criticizing and firing salvo at R.S.S.

Shockingly the news on this filth has been broken by none other than the husband of the nurse, Bhanwari Devi, who fell prey to the evil designs of myopic and dirty politicians.

Amarchand Nat, husband of the allegedly murdered nurse, Bahnwari Devi has told CBI that his youngest daughter has been fathered by a sitting MLA, Malkhan Singh. Malkahn Singh is a popular Jat MLA from the Luni constituency.

The sex, sleaze, ambition, deception, blackmail saga has been bringing out spicy, filthy episodes incessantly involving politicos and mafia and how politicos, mafia nexus allegedly wiped out nurse Bhanwari Devi from the landscape. Senior Congress man and water resource minister in the Ashok Gehlot government, Mahipal Maderna lost his job owing to this sex, sleaze, greed, ambition saga. Maderna was sacked as Gehlot government faced embarrassing time due to its leaders and was flaked incessantly by opposition.

Questions are many and answers are few. Had Bhanwari Devi been alive, mystery behind sex, sleaze, deception and blackmail would have been resolved. That’s not the case.
What went wrong? Why she was allegedly murdered? Why her husband allowed her to develop physical relationships with politicos? Who captured sleaze CD depicting Maderna and Bhanwari Devi having physical relations? Sooner or later, let’s hope this mystery will be resolved and those responsible will be put behind the bar to regret.

With our readers, I would like to share; Bhanwari was a midwife with a health centre located in Jaliwada Village, Jodhpur. Since September 1, she is missing. Rumors are also doing the round that Bhanwari was an ambitious lady, she wanted to ascend in politics using Maderna’s political influence. Another theory is that to extort money, Bhanwari filmed her sexual exploits with Maderna and started blackmailing.

The sex, sleaze, ambition, deceit saga has many unfurled perspective. Until and unless complete story is not unfurled, truth will not surface. The pseudo face of ministers should come out in public domain. People should know the truth. That sinner face in the guise of politicos should be unmasked and people should know the immoral, highly embarrassing acts of their elected leaders.

Writing is there on the wall, think twice before electing immoral leaders. And for females, think twice before indulging in hidden sexual relationship with leaders as to save their skin they can wipe you out any moment.

What is ironical is-when the septuagenarian, Anna was on hunger strike in August to press for strong Lokpal Bill. That agitation was a huge success as it swiftly became the eye of the nation and caught people’s imagination. It was a phenomenon, which virtually shook the roots of the government and caught it off guard.

Mounting pressure owing to massive response to Anna’s agitation, Government succumbed to Anna’s demand and agreed on Team Anna’s demand in principle and constituted a 31 member Standing Committee to enact its recommendations. The committee has been receiving widespread criticism for coming up with brittle recommendations, for instance PM has been left untouched and depends on the discretion of parliament, group C and D employees will not fall under Lokpal and CBI will not function under Lokpal.

The virtual second war of independence prompted government to form a Standing Committee to frame recommendations for the strong Lokpal Bill. Leading law luminary, Abhiskhek Manu Singhvi was entrusted the task.

Shockingly, Standing Committee’s recommendations have received flak from all the political parties barring ruling Congress and its allies. If the recommendations are adopted, it is interpreted that it will only pave way for a puppet Lokpal or Ombudsman.

With salvo being fired from all quarters, it is obvious-the committee worked for Congress and certain vested interests and touted to save many a sinner, corrupt, cheat, swindler politicos, and bureaucrats.

Was it worth forming a Standing Committee that is churning out a report, which is ineffectual? Why it came up with such a futile wad of paper? Who influenced it? What went inside the board room? Questions are many but answers are few.

The Standing Committee’s recommendation smacks of a foul play and has triggered a triangular row among three key players, Team Anna, Opposition and Government. While Team Anna and Opposition are in sync with each other on many issues, Government is completely on the back foot.

What’s the point in having a Standing Committee that frames recommendations not worth implementing and only aimed to form a Lokpal which is toothless and akin to elephant without ivory.
