The Arc of Wake County will hold its 44th annual gala tonight at Marbles Kids Museum downtown. The Arc does fantastic work helping people with developmental disabilities, and tonight's event promises a fun way to raise some funds. This First Friday, I'm super-excited about the reopening of designbox. They moved a few doors down on Martin St. and their first show is tonight! The show, Mars Ain't No Place to Raise Yer Kids, is a benefit for Oliver Gant and will feature lots of space-themed art priced under $100 and a silent auction. Proceeds from sales will help Oliver's family with his cancer treatments.
