I’m not personally the kind of guy who likes to wear a baseball cap EVERY waking hour, but I do own a couple of different MLB team baseball caps.

Actually, I’m guilty of liking some of these 2009 Stars & Stripes caps. Kind of strange since I’m a red blooded Canuck, but what can I say, I think they’re unique. And I personally think it’s cool that all 30 teamsare represented, and are available to buy - not just the big market teams.

I might consider celebrating Canada Day in style next year with the Blue Jays fitted capthat Ricky Romero recently adorned when he trounced the Tampa Bay Rays this past Wednesday.
While were on the subject of the Toronto Blue Jays Ricky Romero…Is it just WaiverSharks, or does RR bare an uncanny resemblance to rapper LL Cool J?

C’mon…a little bit at least?

We’re sure Ricky doesn’t possess the wash board abs of LL Cool J…If he did, he wouldn’t have had that unexpected DL stint earlier in the MLB season & subsequent high fantasy baseball drop rate…Uggg! Guilty again!

Incidentally, I don’t wanna open up any rascist or non-rascist Chief Wahoodebates, but is the 2009 Stars & Stripes Cleveland Indians cap (pictured at the top of this blog article) Better? or worse then the now defunct Authentic Stars & Stripes Performance 59FIFTY On-Field Cap from last season that featured a Chief Wahoo version on blue? I was not even aware that the Indians had such a “C” logo in their arsenal of alternate uni’s?

By the way, mysteriously, I could not find a Chief Wahoo Stars & Stripes capANYWHERE in the MLB Shop? Hmmm…did I just miss it, or has it been discontinued???

I couldn’t find any on eBayeither. So, if you bought one last year, perhaps you have a potential Cleveland Indians Chief Wahoocollector’s item? Go figure, now that I can’t locate one of these, I kind of want one…ahhh, I probably would never find my head size anyways!

Which MLB Jerseyshould I invest in?

If you visit our site occasionally, you may know I was ready to open up my wallet, & spend my hard earned dollars on a Matt LaPorta Jersey. Hmmm…come to think of it, that jersey would have looked pretty good with the no longer available Chief Wahoocap! So, do I stick with this plan, or invest in a different baseball jersey? As Scooby Doo would say: “R@CKIN’ recession”…(That’s “Rockin” kids) has forced me to be a little more choosey with my apparel expenditures.

But for goodness sakes, Charlie Brown, I can’t wear my dust accumulating, closet condemned, Jason Bay jerseyany longer- from his Pirates days! Bay has long since moved to Bean Town, and the Mucho Nachos I’ve consumed over the years over at Comerica Park have moved my belly outwards to a point where that baby makes me resemble Demi Moore on the cover of Esquire.

So, I’ll break it down next week in a short list of 5 MLB jerseysI’m considering buying - & the one I (after much deliberation) have decided on.

Nintendo Wii 10 to 70 Percent Off on eBay!

My wife and I have decided to try out the Nintendo Wii in order to try and lose a few pounds. After our daughter was born, the post pregnancy weight has not come off yet, and since I tend to spend a fair amount of time sitting on my fat butt behind a computer monitor – I’ve packed on a few pounds as well.

We contemplated a gym membership – but are concerned that it will be hard to leave the baby often enough, and after a month of Olivia Newton John’s “Let’s Get Physical” on the I-pod, we both probably would end up not going frequently enough to justify the $80 a month it would cost to maintain two gym memberships. Not to mention, hitting the treadmills and exercise bikes in a public domain makes me about as excited as watching Richard Simmons in those short shorts…Ewwwwwwww!

Also, the wife has long suffered from some pretty worn out knees, as well as a few other injuries, which would truly limit her use of several of the standard equipment many gyms seem to offer. The biggest factor still is the fact that we want to be able to “work out” while still having some fun, and being able to be within ear shot of the next time the baby starts to cry for a bottle. Sure some gyms have day care you might say, but trying to time a newborn babies schedule around when to go pump iron isn’t the easiest thing, as many of you might attest! She might even enjoy watching Mommy and Daddy make fools of themselves playing Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party for Wii! At 35 and 40 years old, I can’t think of a better way to have some fun with your spouse, get some exercise, and entertain the baby all at once!

This brought about the idea of the Nintendo Wii. We have an X-box 360 already – complete with all three Halos (Daddy’s favorite) and Rock Band for when we get the urge to pretend we’re Rock Stars. So, at first another game system seemed like a real stupid idea. But upon further review of the multitude of interactive, sweat inducing, fun cardio games available on the Nintendo Wii – “Wii” are both going to give a Nintendo Wii with some sports gamesa try! And in an initial eBay glance, it looks like the both the new and experienced eBayer can get Nintendo Wii for up 10 to 70% Off on eBay!

We are both not super up-to-speed on our Nintendo Mario Cart, or the latest Zelda knowledge – and would love to hear from anyone who could suggest a few games besides Nintendo Wii Sports and Wii Fit that would be good for a thirty something mom, and her sick of the boring treadmill husband (me), to play in the basement on the big screen – while burning some calories.

I’ll follow up this blog once a month for a few months – to let you know how our Nintendo Wii work out program has come along. I’m not expecting a radical transformation. Just the loss of some weight, and perhaps biceps like Greg Valentino after I play some serious rounds of Nintendo Wii Tennis! Haha, I still wonder how the heck this guy got his arms to be twice the size of his head. Hmmmm…Steroids perhaps? Ya think!!!

This might be the shortest post I’ve ever written in the two years of this website’s existence.

Having snatched “Mash” up in my ultra hardcore Fantasy Baseball Keeper League last week, that only fuels the LaPorta man crush for me that much more!

I was debating bewteen a Travis Snider Jersey and this one, but I really feel like Matt LaPorta is going to in a Cleveland Indians uniform for many many years to come! Of course, maybe Brewers fans thought that too? Ahhhh, I’m sure once he starts ripping the cover off the ball – Cleveland brass will make sure he sticks with the Indians franchise for a long time.

The Cavs have LeBron, now the Tribe needs a face of the organization & so with money as tight as ever – I want to ensure the Jersey I shell out seventy five bucks or more on isn’t going to be of a player who ends up traded after only ½ a season in the home team’s jersey. (Beware matt Holliday Jersey Buyers!)

So, please excuse the Paypal account this week, honey! My Matt LaPorta Jersey will be my Fathers Day gift– okay? I will likely have to add my own letters, and numbers to a blank Indians Jersey, since I want a #16 on the back of the jersey before any other fans in attendance at the Jake, sorry - I mean Progressive Field (Screw it, it’s still the Jake to me!), has one! Which I’m assuming won’t take too long! LaPorta Fever Baby!

We kind of think the bushy red goat makes him look like he should be in the Muppets Electric Mayhem band rather then a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs. Well, whatever it takes for you to try and get an edge on landing that 5th starters spot in the Cubbies rotation Chad !

Currently,  the formerly clean shaven Oakland Athletic’s starter/reliever is in a battle with Sean Marshall who appears to be the frontrunner. Aaron Heilmann and Jeff Samardzija remain long shots for the job.
