Melody & Justin / Married at Oak Tree Manor, Spring Texas

I love every chance I get to photograph a wedding at Oak Tree Manor. Justin & Melody gave me a new treat there by having Miss Fancy Pants as their flower girl. Then you add the fun of Justin & Melody in general, perfectly small & beautifully dressed bridal party, a ginormous desert table, not even being phased by a table crashing down after an exciting toast, and one of my fave sparkler exits - and it was a fantastic day! Special thanks to Stacy Anderson for coming along again to document the day with me!

I remember meeting these two, and they couldn't stop talking about each other. They love their love story. Wedding plans weren't firm yet (to have a destination wedding or not to have a destination wedding), but they knew they certainly wanted some killer engagement pics no matter what. So that's exactly what I gave them. And THEN, theeeeen I got the fantastic news that they are having their wedding stateside and that I get to shoot it. It's going to be at a beautiful new (to me) venue this summer - and I'm very excited to document the next chapter of their love story!

Know what's super fun? When I get to do little sister's cake smash - and I've done her older brother's in the past! AH! I love it. We grabbed a few updated family portraits before jumping into the milestone photos for Shae, and everything was just so cute!

Jessica & Martin / Centurion Palace Wedding, League City, TX

It's no secret I love Centurion Palace. I giggle with delight every time someone inquires about shooting there. It's like getting to relive my own day every time I go back, and we thoroughly enjoy working with the coordinators. This wedding was amazing. I don't think the smile ever left Jessica & Martin's faces. With Martin's career in the movie industry, they had the absolute best music I've ever heard - think Planets/Superman. Jaws. Star Wars. Every major movie song ever. Like ever ever. And at any given time, you could look at Martin…looking at Jessica…and your heart would just melt. It was such a blessing to be a part of this big day. Special thank to Stacy Anderson Photography for coming along to second shoot with me!

Just when I thought I wouldnt have anything to post for Valentine's Day this year...It just so happens I had a maternity session last night...and they brought along the cutest little love themed baby girl onesie! And just because it's my favorite photo I've ever taken of her (and I've taken alot)...I had to share another. I'll blog 'em all when I'm done. But until then... Have a happy valentine's day! These guys are some of my oldest clients. It brings me great joy to continue to capture their family over the years. And I mean years. I've been with them through their engagement, wedding, college graduation, many Christmases, pregnancy, and the birth of their first child! (which we're already planning his first year session and that's still a few months away, haha!) How exciting! Oh, it killed me to keep these photos under wraps for their Christmas cards. We went back to the location of their engagement photos to make some new memories of their expanding family. Best session of them yet? ;)

Man...3 1/2 years later. It's hard to believe Collin's grown this much and gained a little brother since I photographed them last! I mean...I've seen them, they are family after all. But gotten them in front of the camera for some new photos? It was about time ;) And a good time we had too. The boys were absolute angels! I hope Mom & Dad treated them to ice cream or something, because they deserved it. I just hope it's not another 3 1/2 years before I get to make some memories with them again. *hint-hint* :)

That's a colorful title, yes? Well they're a fun family! We'd celebrated Finn's 1st birthday earlier in the year, but fall/Christmas season is allllways a good reason for another session! We had two great locations - the Blue Trees and their new home. Happy as always to be included in their journey!

Miss Layla wasn't on a baby's first year plan, but it pretty much worked out like she was! Hehe!! Newborn portraits first...then six months ago we took some pretty epic photos as a surprise for Dad... Just recently? Time for the whole family again! Yay!! Mom did a super job styling everyone - perfect for the location too!

Simpson Christmas at the Tree Farm Again!

I know you all remember this family. AND last year's Christmas tree farm session. The new tradition continued. Except they bought their TWO trees the weekend before instead of the same day as the pictures. It was one of, if not the, coldest day of the year this day…and Emeline was not a fan. But she still looks super sweet all bundled up, and the pics we did get are priceless. So I wouldn't call the session a complete bust…just a…smaller one than normal. ;) I think we more than made up for it when we stuck her in her Christmas jammies with her cousin later tho…that'll be up soon too!

Cesia (Mom - and owner of Luneberry!) and her family are some of those clients that over the years I've been photographing them (ok maybe not years plural, but it's been more than one at this point!), I can simply just call her a friend. She's met a few of my other clients after making them bows, she runs into them and easily recognizes them hours away from home while on vacation, they friend each other on Facebook, and are even discussing play dates! (which I of course invited myself to…to photograph 3 of "my" kids at once? Yes please!). Annnnyways - back to the photos, lol - she let me create one of my favorite photos from the holiday season at my fall mini sessions! Enjoy!

So much love. So much emotion. So much fun.

Austyn & Dane were married back in October at the wonderful, wonderful venue that is Centurion Palace. After I sent Austyn her wedding photos...she kept it a secret from her family so she could give them away as Christmas presents. I'm just happy no one emailed me with any threatening messages while they "waited" for them to be ready. haha! This may be one of the longest blog posts ever...but it was a great celebration, and I really wanted you to feel like a part of it.

A quick silent moment holding hands before the ceremony starts, all the while, not peaking at the dress. :)

Sarah and Kevin here are pretty much rock stars....if rock stars drove pickup trucks. I'm sure one or two do, right? I wanna pinch their cheeks they're so cute together. And Sarah's hair? Yeah that's what convinced me to buy a curling wand. Can you imagine how stunning she's going to be all dolled up as a bride?? I can't wait. I may even make Justin trade me roles that day so I can watch Kevin's face when he sees her for the first time. :-p

Two and a half years ago. That was the last time these two were in front of my camera. It's hard to believe really. Not just how much they've grown (a lot), but the growth in my work too (a lot). Josh worked the camera like he usually does (always a treat), while Luke took a little convincing (not too much). My pleasure as always to document my own family's history.

I think Evan transforms from a cowboy to a ring leader quite nicely! And Lauren...she's just too precious for words. I don't know what's sweeter - the expressions she makes or the icing on her face.
