Let’s talk sunscreen! If you’re anything like me, you probably dread putting on sunscreen because most formulas feel sticky, heavy, and just downright greasy. But I recently discovered a local gem. The MAGWAI Sheer Mineral Sunscreen which I have been consistently using for about 3 weeks now.

First Impressions

The packaging is really attractive. True to MAGWAI’s eco-conscious branding, the tube is compact and travel-friendly, with clean design and clear info. It’s also made with plastic-free aluminum which is a huge plus.

The Feel & Finish

Most mineral sunscreens leave that dreaded white cast, but MAGWAI’s formula absorbed really well into my skin. On my morena skin tone, it blended in almost seamlessly leaving no ghostly look here!

It has a semi-matte, almost satin finish. It doesn’t feel oily or suffocating, and best of all, it doesn't pile up even under makeup. I’ve tried layering it under both tinted moisturizer and my favorite cushion foundation, and it held up beautifully with zero caking or patchy blending.

The Protection

MAGWAI Sheer Mineral Sunscreen offers SPF 50+ PA++++ broad-spectrum protection which, for a mineral sunscreen, is quite impressive. It uses zinc oxide, a trusted physical blocker that’s safe for sensitive skin. I’ve been using it daily as well as for dive trips, and so far, no burns or irritation.

Plus, it’s reef-safe, which makes it perfect for ocean lovers like me. It's water-resistant for up to 80 minutes, though I always reapply if I’m in the water or sweating.

Aside from zinc oxide, it’s formulated with sunflower oil, shea butter, and vitamin E making it not just protective, but also nourishing. I haven’t experienced any breakouts or clogged pores since using it.

* Works well under makeup, and does not make my make up look patchy
* Fragrance-free, I did notice any strong scent like other sunscreens have
* Did not cause any irritation on my acne prone skin

* can be a little hard to blend since I'm used to using gel-based sunscreens, but still manageable

Juicy Lips with Dazzle Me Wonderfullip Serum

A few months ago, I got introduced to Dazzle Me, a fairly new local beauty brand here in PH. I was instantly captivated by the bright and fun colors of their packaging and most of all the very affordable price tag.

So the question remains, is it worth trying?

Simply put, its an absolute YES! in my opinion. Here's why...

Let us start with their 24/7 Wonderfullip Serum, a multi-purpose Lip Topper and Treatment that conditions lips and provides lasting moisture.

Main ingredients include: Grape Seed extract, Pomegranate Extract, Rose Oil and Jojoba Seed Oil.

Based on my experience the 24/7 Wonderfullip Serum stayed true to its claims.

It can be used as:

1. a lip primer - more like how you would use a normal lip balm before any matte lipstick

2. a lip topper - can be used on top of any lipstick for a nice glossy finish

3. an overnight lip serum - I also apply this before bedtime and wake up with well hydrated lips in the morning.

What I like about it...

* very affordable at only Php 149

* very convenient and easy to carry

* mildly scented with a hint of bubble gum smell

* multi-use hydrating lip serum, can be used day or night

* works well with other lip products

* does not feel sticky at all

* feels lightweight and has a thin finish

* has a unique flexible plastic applicator so it does not absorb product on your lips

My rating: 5/5

I also tried the Dazzle Me Juicy Punch Lip Tint which retails for only Php 139 and so far, together with the Lip Serum, these two are my favorite lippy combo. I apply the Juicy Punch Lip Tint in Apple-Solute, then let it sit for a few seconds then top it off of the Wonderfullip Serum. It gives a really pretty juicy finish.

Overall I absolutely adore the lip products from Dazzle Me most especially these two. The Wonderfullip Serum and Juicy Punch Lip Tints. I appreciate that all their products are affordable and easily accessible at most Robinsons Department Stores nationwide. They also have official shops online in both Lazada and Shopee.
