Google's headquarters, the Googleplex, is located in Mountain View, California. As of March 31, 2008 the company has 19,156 full-time employees. As of October 31, 2007, it is the largest American company (by market capitalization) that is not part of the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
Google was co-founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were students at Stanford University and the company was first incorporated as a privately held company on September 7, 1998. Google's initial public offering took place on August 19, 2004, raising US$1.67 billion, making it worth US$23 billion. Google has continued its growth through a series of new product developments, acquisitions, and partnerships. (Infos from Wikipedia)

My Point of view:
Google, another very popular search engine, is much like the other search engines like the Yahoo! and MSN. But it provides more useful stuff. It has many creative and userfriendly softwares like the Google Earth and Picasa... Everything that a normal computer user should have. I also use a lot of Google softwares and they are really useful. Some of the softwares can be used for professionals.
Imagine that you are some kind of architect and you need to sketch a 3D model of your design. The Google's SketchUp could help you. It is a free software(you can buy it too and have more features) and you could make a simple 3D models in a few minutes with its easy-to-understand guide. There are also features which allows you to add some characters in too.
Besides that software, there are also a lot more other stuff in Google such as Youtube(the very popular site which you aren't suppose not to know about it), Google Talk, Blogger.... You could visit this link for more softwares of Google.
For all of these informations, I've almost used all of the Google softwares on my computer and I love it. All of these softwares help me on almost everything. Picasa to edit my photos, Google Earth for my Social Studies, Google Talk to have conversations with my friends, Gmail for emailing my important stuff, Google Pack to update my computer.... Google is one of the best of the sites I have seen. Actually, the BEST!

Please note that for Google, I think there is only pros and no cons.

Email, the free electronic mail

Electronic mail, often called e-mail, email, or simply mail, is a store-and-forward method of composing, sending, receiving and storing messages over electronic communication systems. The term "e-mail" (as a noun or verb) applies both to the Internet e-mail system based on the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) and to X.400 systems, and to intranet systems allowing users within one organization to e-mail each other. Intranets may use the Internet protocols or X.400 protocols for internal e-mail service supporting workgroup collaboration. E-mail is often used to deliver bulk unsolicited messages, or "spam", but filter programs exist which can automatically delete some or most of these, depending on the situation. (Infos from Wikipedia)

My Point of view:
If you are finding for an email address for your own personal use, Gmail, Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail is definitely your choices. They all have spam filters, and I personally prefer Yahoo! Mail as it is easier to organize and has enough storage(but who could use up over 5GB??!!). You could create files and drag and drop your messages in the individual files. It has a built in chat room inside too.(It's a new function) You could have a preview of your message at the bottom of the page too.
Well, Gmail has the biggest storage of all as it adds on and on and now Gmail has over 6GB. But it doesn't allow you to create any files to organize your messages and they only allow you to have "Starred" mails. It also contains a chat room and it could store your chats inside your email. Personally, I think that Gmail has the best spam filter.
Hotmail has the least amount of storage, but still it has up to 5GB of storage. Something similar to Yahoo! Mail, it has folders for you to organize your messages too. If you switch your Hotmail into the newer version, you could have a display of your message without clicking on the message and you can choose the layout: Bottom or on the right side.(Same as Yahoo! Mail again) That is the best feature I find in both Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail which Gmail doesn't have.

Pros:

Businessman which is very busy could send their contracts to their clients in attachments through emails

Contact your friends instantly

Send the same thing to different people

Cons:

Spam mails and virus through the use of emails

Collect other people's personal information

After all, E-Mail is just another way of communication, but in a faster and simpler method.
