Swirling past the vortex of your supposed thoughts. Intruding on your senses as if they were gates left open by mistake. No matter. The great fog of life only touches. Leaving only the dampness of thought and emotion. Leaving only the calling card of a complicated mind....

Larry Kohlruss Photography

I'm slowly building a portfolio of my photography. But here goes.
First off, ME. My current job is funeral assistant/driver/body removal, in a small town. Not to sound too morbid, but I do really do love the job. It's the feeling and knowledge at the end of the day, that you have been there and helped at someones most vulnerable time. Not an easy task, considering the irrational and distraught state of most people when a loved one passes on. And keep in mind that we as funeral providers and the person taking responsibility for the body, have to keep in mind that the person and their families may have different beliefs about religion and what happens to someone when they die. Is the body an empty shell, is the soul still in there, is that persons soul looking down on their remains? Who are any of us to judge that? So, we treat the body like it's still a living person. As this is a small town, we know most of the people that come through our doors. Living and not. That in it's self makes it tough. But it also help put our life into perspective.
So, We come home, and the first thing we do is hug our kids. Do you?

First Post

OK, so here goes.

This is my first post, and as usual, I have no time to sit.
