Well, I had to make an unexpected road trip Tues & Wed down to AZ, so I haven't had my internet or anything on the road. We're here now, and it's hot and crowded, but there's lots of good scrappin here! I can't wait to go browse the local scrap stores and see what they have, but for now I have some DT projects from Willow Tree Crafts to share with you. They sent me some Scenic Route Roxbury to play with. Enjoy!

Superstar!

I used some old cardstock letter stickers on here as a mask for that misted title. I also used some of that same mist on the ribbon to give it the look I was going for.

Naughty or Nice?

For this one, I used teal & black Glimmer Mist to get the shape outline on the Bazzill background paper. I love the way it came out! Makes me just wanna spray everything!

Whew! I can't believe it's been a whole month since I posted. Yikes, sorry! I have a stack of layouts sitting next to me that I'll be working on scanning and posting in the next few days, but for now I just want to do some catching up.

  1. Congrats to the new design team over at Creatively Yours. My term ended with October, and I didn't reapply this time since I'll be out of town from Thanksgiving til New Years. I'm sure they'll all do great things with Ali's sketches, and hopefully I'll have a chance to keep up with them and post some here & there.
  2. I made the design team at the local scrapbook store, Scrap Happens. Can't wait to get started, so look for some new projects for them soon.
  3. Kaisercraft puts out a great magazine each quarter, and this last time they requested my Miss Attitude layout for their Q2 Mag. On their blog today they posted a picture, and it just happened to have my layout in it! It's the green one on the top left of page 2 here. That is little miss Venice!        KC-Q2MagPage

LibraryLoveHow has everyone been lately? In my house I'm the only one who caught the bug that's going around. I was really lucky though, and Mark took care of me while I was down. Now that we're over all that (knock on wood!) I have a whole pile of layouts sitting on top of my scanner waiting to be scanned in and posted. Working on getting them done in between homeschooling and activity central here. For today, here's one about one of our favorite places: the library. These pics are from last year before our local library got it's remodel, but Sierra found this rainbow book and this paper seemed to just go perfectly.

For the clouds, I used Glimmer Mist on white Bazzill, then hand drew the clouds and cut them out.

We had another one of Noella's fabulous sketches to work on this week and I chose to use these pics of Scott from his birthday this year. He begged me for this Bakugan tin from Target for like 2 months so he was super surprised when he got it! Love the look on his face, and I love that he's old enough to 'get it' and give me the face without me having to explain what the gift is. Sierra had a similar reaction last year to a new pair of black tights (go figure).
