It works 100%. One of the better tricks I found out while surfing.

Do u get irritated when acrobat reader takes 5/10 seconds to load when you want to open a pdf document. There is a way to speed up the loading.

1. Go to the installation folder of acrobat reader
(C:\program files\adobe\acrobat\reader\.. whatever)
2. Move all the files and folders from the "plugins" directory to the "Optional" directory. (I repeat.. cut and paste the files NOT copy & paste).

Also make sure that acrobat reader is not open else it will lock the files and not allow you to move the files).

Now your acrobat reader will load very fast and almost as good as notepad..

DEATHSTROKE!!!

One of my favorite DC villains. I was inspired so much by looking at various artists who draw with an animation type of sensibility. Since one is forced to simplify his art to emphasize the figures most striking characteristics, it's one of the most fun to do, yet complicated at times. While learning this style, I've had to unlearn some things and realize some bad habits. I've since had so much fun drawing characters in this style. Now, the subtleties I have learned in this style, I can apply to a more comic book or a more realistic style.

The Mighty Thor

I thought of doing an animated style Thor. I started out and developed a style that some people call a " western-style-manga". It's somewhat of a fusion of the art sensibilities of western comics and Japanese manga. Some famous artists who have this style are Joe Madureira, Jeff Scott Campbell and Adam Warren. A western comic style with the energy of Japanese manga.

Joe Madureira was a major influence for me. Almost all my earlier art looked like his work. Yup, I was a clone. Then I explored stuff that totally different from this style. More of an animation type art, not many details but emphasizes on motion and strength of style. I've also delved digital coloring, which is another field where there is unlimited growth. Now, I'm in a stage where I have enough confidence to merge the little I know of every aspect of what I've learned into my own unique style. I'm in the process of building myself a decent portfolio. Exploration is done, major work is next....

GO GO MARVEL GO!!!

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; It was really fun doing them. I got to explore different techniques, styles and approaches to the Marvel characters. The schedule given was pretty tight, which was majorly my fault, but I was able to finish them on time. There a couple of cards which messed up due to too much experimentation but for the most part I am very proud of the batch I did. There are a couple of favorites that I have, the Spidermen I did, were particular favorites. I've seen a couple of my cards popping out on Ebay and some of the card forums. I still have to see the good cards that I did. I will post all of my cards here just in case somebody got lucky and snatched one of them and needed confirmation or reference.

Wedding Pics and The Pain of Making a Slideshow

It took me hours trying to figure out how to post a slideshow of our wedding pictures here. It turns out that I have to mess with the scripting of the html of the posts. I also tried to post multiple pictures but the layout looked crappy, so I'll just post one picture at a time and tell a little somethin'- somethin' bout it.

I'd rather share pictures here than use Friendster because pictures do not look flattering there and I get confused using it. Friendster started as a semi-user friendly site but now turned into a very convoluted and confusing web page which tries to do too much. Video sharing, audio embedding, background costumization is cool, but not when it defeats the purpose of being user-"Friend"ly. They should get a programmer to clean-up that site! Annnd the reason why blogging interests me more, is that I can bitch all I want here and people wouldn't give a damn. Negativity is a no-no in online communities unless you want to earn the ire of computer savvy conservatives.

This pic was taken by my sister outside our church, a few minutes before our wedding. I got so hefty these past couple of years. My older friends don't recognize me anymore. The guy behind me is one of my closest friends and one of the best artists I know, Ariel Padilla.

More pics to share....

Guess what?

It's December 18 already. This piece was done a couple of weeks ago. Yes, it's an invitation to my wedding. I was wed this December 14, 2007, to my wonderful and beautiful wife, Elsinor Gamoso (Elsinor Monces now). So, if by chance you've seen this blog and it made your heart skip a beat because you want to make an effort to stop our marriage, well it's toooo late now hahahaha!

We wanted our invites to show as much of our personalities as possible. No old fonts embossed on fancy dark toned paper here. We opted to do a pop-up of our images with our chosen colors for our wedding which was light lime green and light yellow orange. We received wonderful compliments from those who received them and no-reaction from some (which goes to show how hard to please some people can be, hehehe yabang ko no?). If your planning to have a beautiful, unique and surprisingly beautiful invitation to your wedding just contact me hehehe. Miss Nina, thank you so much for helping us make our invites perfect.

This blog is way late, but my wife and I hadn't had any time this couple of weeks. But, there are a lot of things that one can read about the pains of planning a wedding, great wedding suppliers, people who are so good at what they do and if you are just curious about my life and my wife's.

Next post will be about more wedding stuff (lots of pics) for those who are planning to tie-the-knot and more thank you's to those who made our wedding a resounding success .
