The skiing and riding was top to bottom off the Rangeley Chairlift.
 
Recognized for their service to Saddleback were Bill Jones, Hack Spiller and
Neil Stewart, all of Rangeley, who announced their retirement.
 
“These three men have over 100 years of service to Saddleback. Generations of Saddleback skiers have been greeted at the lifts each day by these men,” said Chris Farmer, general manager.
 
Those wanting to lock in low prices on next year’s Saddleback season passes have until April 30th to save up to $175. The passes can be purchased online at www.saddlebackmaine.com.

We will open on Saturday, April 14th and expect to have 20 trails open for skiing and riding for the weekend. The RaveX Team will be here in the Freerider Terrain Park with their snowmobile acrobatics along side skiers and riders. The groomers have been pushing snow to build the jumps. Plus the Flyin’ Hawaiian Pig Roast and Party from 9am-4pm. Tickets for the Pig Roast are available online. Spring conditions, watch for natural obstacles.

Three lifts are operating with 17 trails open for all ability levels.

“Making snow even this late in the season is all part of our commitment to providing better snow conditions to our skiers and riders”, said Jim Quimby, Operations Manager.

Saddleback is one of the few ski areas in the East still open after the recent summer-like temperatures. To encourage skiers to continue skiing, the mountain is offering a $29 lift ticket to 2011-2012 season pass holders from any other mountain. Sunday, April 1st is Maine Day at Saddleback. Residents also ski and ride for $29.
