OK, everyone, here is what we can all do. I checked with my accountant for a clear answer.

RITAN is a corporation in the governments eyes right now, not yet a nonprofit. If we were a nonprofit we have to be careful who we hand money to out of the RITAN account. But since we are a corp, we are ok right now to give Leenie money out of the RITAN account.

So, if anyone sends money to the RITAN PO Box or with the donate button, I will make a note of it all and send one check to Leenie. ( It has to be a check, not cash, as it is very dangerous to send cash in the mail.) When sending a check or making a donation with the donate button, you must make a note in the memo line, saying "for Lisaleenie" or it will be treated as a donation for RITAN. So Leenie, if this will be okay with you, let us know. You may email me with any concerns, but this is what RITAN can do on our end.

I am in awe of all of my brothers and sisters here. The outpouring of love here is amazing, and I can just see it bringing a smile to the Savior's face.

The Kingdom of Heaven is like a computer.

We first make all the materials. Those materials are formed into parts. Parts are assembled into components, components are assembled into the whole. Yet....without an operating system....it is lifeless. Not that it's life is real....only that it can perform functions.

This computer says to its creator....look at me! I am AWESOME! I can do so much....accomplish so much! The creator says I know....I made you for a specific purpose..... to which the computer replies HOLD ON A MINUTE! You made me? Im complex as can be! Formed of plastics and metals.... your meager hands and fingers can't form steel! Create plastic! The electricity that makes me run would kill you! No way you made me!
No...seriously! I do it all the time. I make computers to match whatever my need. Big, small, short and tall. Every color and style!

But the computer was blind to its own reality.....

The creator told the computer that there was a virus in the ROM and flashing it will remove the virus. But the computer was scared because the ROM is the heart of its system and it felt there was no virus as it worked fine.

The creator told the computer that the part of it that is aware of itself has nothing to do with its hardware.....on the inside its really an operating system with tons of folders and files that make up the whole of what it's purpose is and its experiences through the thread of time.

And the creator said...I have made all new hardware for you....with brand new ROM that is virus free! But I can't transfer the OS, folders, and files unless we flash your ROM. Or else the virus will move with the files and corrupt the new system. If we don't flash your ROM...we will have to just toss you out!

People often look at themselves and think we are too complex for to have a Creator. But the idea is alot easier to share if you have a tool that helps people to understand who they are and who He is. And for those of us who believe, it can be a wonder about what we are and what we shall be.

Sure....the computer parable is allot simpler than the reality of Life in the Universe...God...and Spiritual Reality. But to God.... its simpler than the parable!

He has the back up of all our hard drives! You dont have to worry about being cremated, losing organs or limbs, or anything of the flesh. We are NOT the computer....we are the the whole of information within it. And God can take US and move us from this to that as easily as we can move an MP3 of Hallelujah from the hard drive to a flash drive or even email to a friend!

I hope this helps you to understand or help others to understand what its all about.

When my mother passed away recently, my siblings and I decided that cremation is best for her remains for practical purposes. If God can build galaxies with mere words, I don't think it'd be too much of a task for Him to resurrect the bodies of His children, whether they've turned to ash or fossil fuel.

Also, Jesus compared death to sleeping because that's we do when we sleep. Sometimes our imagination travels somewhere while our body is at rest. I'm not talking about astral projection or any of that mystical stuff here. lol

What I'm saying is that the souls (mind and heart) of believers reach heaven after death. And these souls will be reunited with their glorified bodies at the rapture.

I miss my mother dearly. :(

I have to disagree with Bonnie about the interpretation of Daniel 9:27. Making it to be Christ that "causes the sacrifice and oblations to cease" does not fit the historical understanding of the term. The same language is used to describe what was done previously by Antiochus Epiphanes, and will be repeated at the end.

The statement that Christ has fulfilled the sacrificial system is absolutely correct. That will not prevent the Jews in the Tribulation from going back to it, since they do not understand that Christ has paid the debt for sin.

Wow. So I am rereading the entire Bible from the beginning and I'm picking up nuggets here and there. I also did a little bit of research on the internet and these are what I found out:

1. In Exodus 24, Moses went up Mount Sinai with the 70 elders of Israel and they saw God standing on a pavement of sapphire! And they ate and drank, celebrating the First Covenant which was the Law.

2. During the last supper (eating and drinking), Jesus unveiled the Second Covenant which is salvation through God's Grace! It's just mind-blowing how there's so many parallels in the Bible.

3. What lead me to believe that the tablets of stone that contains the Ten Commandments are made from the same pavement God was standing on is the fact that God wrote those commandments Himself. It says so in verse 12. The stones on which God wrote the First Covenant were taken directly from His throne!

4. Sapphire is blue, the color of the sky. In Isaiah, we are told that earth is God's footstool. So now we know why our sky was designed that way.

5. And then in Exodus 28, God gave Moses specific instructions on what the priests should wear which are garments that consist of blue, purple, scarlet, gold, and precious stones! Guess what, these are all the same colors used to describe the harlot in Revelation, except that "blue" was not mentioned.

Why is blue conspicuously absent in the description of the harlot? Isn't that suspect? Well, it's because "blue" stands for God's grace and holiness which is Jesus Christ. And the woman riding the beast has all the pomp and pageantry except the true way to salvation!

At this point, I'm 90% certain that the woman is none other than the Vatican, who exerts all efforts into building a one-world religion.

I encourage everyone to read God's Word carefully because there are so many things that you can learn from it even when you're reading it for the nth time.

Utopia Ready, I just want to thank you for giving me a "shout out." No one has ever done this for me, and I'm humbled by your concern. My back and foot are doing better, but now I have tremendous in my upper right back just below my shoulder blade. With fibromyalgia, it could be a pain anywhere. My father-in-law used to say, "I hurt all over more than anywhere else." :) I think that pretty much describes fibromyalgia.

I am happier with my imaginary friend then the world is with their booze, drugs, money and all the other junk they can't seem to live without. If my God is imaginary then I will gladly go through life a little crazy talking to Him. The world will always look at us as though we are a little coocoo. But that is just the blinders that are on their eyes.

I have been on edge yesterday and now today. I am finding it hard to concentrate and the need to get up and move around. In addition my dog is acting strange today, sitting and stirring at two closets today. I am almost tempted to open them because he creeps me out when he does this.

Anyway, my angel would probably pat herself on her back and say well done, then give me a push in my back to go forward.

I just had the funniest thought about the dead in christ raising first.. imagine what a sight it will be for unbelievers who have cremated loved ones in urns on their mantles.. woaaa look out!!
I can just see it now... the urn begins to shake, wobble and then explode as the saints are resurrected and then old faithful granny Dot is now standing gloried in the middle of their living room before shooting off into the sky.

A Better High Priest under Grace

"You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek" by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant…Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He ever lives to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:21-22, 25)

The supreme issue regarding the better aspects of the new covenant of grace is Jesus, our High Priest. The priests under the law were men who served for a limited time and then died. Under grace, our High Priest serves forever. Jesus received His priesthood "not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless life" (Hebrews 7:16).

The priests under the law were sons of Aaron from the tribe of Levi. Each served as a brief reminder of the perfect priest who would someday bring a better covenant than the law. "Therefore, if perfection were through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need was there that another priest should rise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be called according to the order of Aaron?" (Hebrews 7:11). This was a temporary priesthood, requiring numerous priests. "And there were many priests, because they were prevented by death from continuing" (Hebrews 7:23). The priesthood of Jesus would never have to be transferred to another because He is
the eternal Son of God. "But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood" (Hebrews 7:24).

Jesus, our eternal High Priest, was a priest after the order of Melchizedek. "For this Melchizedek… without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually" (Hebrews 7:1-3). Melchizedek was the one who brought bread and wine to Abraham, when he returned victorious from battle (see Genesis 14). There was no genealogy for Melchizedek, no record of the beginning or ending of his days of service. In this, he was like the Son of God: eternal. Thus, he pictured Jesus' priesthood: eternal. This makes Jesus (the provider of grace) a better High Priest than those who served under the law. "By so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant."

Now, the one who died for us (to forgive our sins) is ever praying for us (that we might be thoroughly rescued from all else that threatens us). "Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He ever lives to make intercession for them."

Lord Jesus, my great High Priest, I bow to You as the eternal one, whose priesthood never ends. I rest in Your interceding prayers for me today, that I might be delivered from all that would come against me, Amen.

Imaginary Friend?

Not long ago, I heard about this billboard along the highway: “God is an imaginary friend—choose reality. It will be better for all of us.”

Obviously, the bold statement compares Christians to children whose vivid imaginations invent a make-believe companion. But is that what God is—an imaginary friend?

Actually, the evidence favors His reality. Ponder these ideas: The creation of the world shows there is a Designer behind the universe (Rom. 1:18-20). The conscience indicates a Lawgiver behind each human’s sense of right and wrong (Rom. 2:14-15). The creativity we express in music and art reflect the same attribute that the Creator possesses (Ex. 35:31-32). Christ reveals what God is like in human form (Heb. 1:1-4). And the communion or fellowship of the Spirit in the Christian heart manifests the reality of God (Gal. 5:22-23).

The Bible tells us there will be those who deny the reality of God (2 Peter 3:4-6). But James reminds us of His reality and how an Old Testament believer befriended Him: “‘Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.’ And he was called the friend of God” (James 2:23). Have you met the redeeming God? He gave His Son to become your real, eternal Friend (John 15:15).

We had a discussion on pets a few weeks ago and many have stated their dogs and cats were acting strangely. None scratched or bit that I can remember.
