this makes me want to do an angel Bible study! if I've had a guardian angel all of my life, the same one, i'm afraid i will owe him an apology when i see him for all of my repetitive stupidity and rebellion when God must've graciously had him protect me from so many awful things that could've happened. i bet he will rejoice at the idea of getting to just praise our Creator together and get to be off duty after having to deal with me! he will probably be as excited as i will be to know it's time to go to Heaven! that would be awesome to see the spiritual world breaking thru to our sight right before we are changed and caught up!

Anyway, Jack Van Impe said that describes Angels coming down and taking him up so it will be the same for us. Angels will take us up at the rapture. they do the same thing when we die.

After that we who are still alive....

For one event to be first implies an interval of time before the second.

There are going to be quite a lot of risen saints, and I don't think it will happen with us knowing.

When it happened before they "went into the holy city, and appeared to many". Matthew 27:53.

What an interesting thought. I can't imagine what it would be like. I know that I'm worried for those around me at current. I am the only Christian in a very large family and I really do feel like time is running out. They mean so much to me. I know that I wouldn't really have the time to ponder what happens next. I know that I would go up with courage. I do trust my God completely and I know that he loves my family just as much as I do.

I just wish that they could go with me.

I think, that if it was to happen right now and an angel appeared, he'd reach out his hand towards me and we'd share a brief moment and a small smile before I'd take his hand to go up with him to meet the Lord in the air. I imagine it being pure joy.

Few years ago I had a dream that I saw God the father holding a trump on his right hand,with a slain Lamb on his left hand. And there were thousands of angels before him. When God the father began to sound the trumpet,I saw thousands of angels came down from the air,kind of escorting us to the air. If my dream meant anything,I believe we'll be escorted by the angel on our way up. I did post this dream before on this forum. By the way,slain Lamb on God the father's left hand might point to rapture around Passover.

In my mind, it will happen when least expected and very fast. One of my biggest fears is if I'm driving. I pray my angel warns me and tells me to pull over its time to go home. Another fear is if I'm sound asleep and don't hear our Lord say "Come up Here." So I pray my angel wakes me up in time!

I think there will be angels though. I don't know how soon before it happens that we'll see them.
TR, the messenger angels IS an interesting aspect that I never thought of before as far as the Rapture is concerned.

Many were initially afraid, but they come saying fear not. If they show up at your door, just think of them as Jehovah's Wittness'. It's not their glory I fear, but the glory of our risen Lord and Savior. Not to mention the glory of Father!

Oh I hope not!! :) Heavenly Father knows me very well. I would freak out if I saw two angels appear all of a sudden. :) This is what should happen. I am out somewhere, and two people can come up to me who are angels (but I don't know this) and they can tell me it's going to happen and when! :)

WHAAAAAAAT????? I have to show this to my husband and one of my sisters! This sort of reminds me of a time my sister and I were at the cemetary to place a wreath at our dad's grave. It was a nice, sunny day.....just a little cool and we both looked up at the sky while standing there talking and I am not kidding, the clouds looked like an angel blowing a trumpet and we both looked at eachother just to make sure we saw the same thing. There were no other clouds in the sky. It was a very clear blue. We knew our dad was with Jesus even before THEN, but that was very cool. I wish we could have gotten a picture of that.

Michi, I believe you. You are shown these things for a reason. You have seen/heard the spiritual realm. These visions are small gifts from God and as you live your life, your thoughts wonder back on these visions from time to time. He is wonderful is He not? I especially love the pixie six story, not for the ominous tree, but rather as a child you felt compassion for those who had no one attending their grave.

Keep your eyes wide shut...or open...in the future, even these next few months! Now that you are a member of Rita, God may show you something to share with us!

Sounds like you've been spritually sensitive since you were a child. I think that most of us are, but then loose it as we move towards adulthood. You're fortunate that you have not lost it. Remember to always test the Spirits though, as in, 1Jo 4:1 ¶ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. o 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 1Jo 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Also, you mentioned that when you started growing up, that you became aware that money was the root of all evil. I'd just like to make a minor correction to that thinking. Money itself in itself is not the problem. It's the "Love" of money, that causes the sin. I don't want you to think that I'm nit picking, only pointing out that common misinterpretation. :)

There have been a few particular occurences in my life that I was never able to fully decipher. They have been so rare, that I ruled them out as anything mentally wrong with me. Sharp daydreams perhaps, illusions surely! At least, that's what they have always been to everyone else. The problem is that I have always had a vivid imagination as a kid, and I still have it to this very day...but, I've only ever been able to 'imagine' everything with my eyes SHUT. And all that I have willingly imagined were things that do not exist...dragons, gryphins...a sea of gold that housed mermaids. And, I have never heard or seen odd things unles I were completely and utterly asleep in dreamland.

Having explained that, I decided to share these occurences. I emphasize that I was fully awake and lucid (to my knowledge).

I was either 10 or 11 years old and my 2 year old nephew was asleep on the floor beside me. I woke up to a strange conversation that I can't even begin to recall in precision. Voices were talking, nearly to the point of arguing. When my eyes were finally focused, I noted two robed angels about six inches tall each standing near the top of my nephew's head. I was so frightenned, I nearly wet myself at that age. The angels didn't pay me any mind. If they realized that I was awake, they gave no notion of it. So, as slowly as I could, I rolled over to the other side (where the wall was) and shut my eyes tightly in the hopes of falling asleep again. When I finally drifted back to sleep, I had the oddest dream in which Jupiter and some of its moons were seen in a large scale within a sunset-hued sky, the bottom halves faded.

I hadn't seen or heard anything out of the ordinary again until 5 years or so later. One of my best friends had invited me with her grandparents to a buffet. After we ate, the two of us explored a cementary nearby. We had pixie sticks in hand as some semblance of dessert and walked along the grass, observing the different tombstones. We left a pixie stick near any grave that appeared unattended to for years, since we had no flowers. Beyond the mausuleum was a very old tree wit branches that were spread wide and low to the ground. My friend wanted to climb the tree, but I felt a strange feeling in my gut and told her that we shouldn't go anywhere near the tree. Before I was able to tell her anything else, a movement drew my sight to a grey fox with amber eyes. At first, I thought it was a dog or a wolf, but it was a simple grey fox. I called my friend to look at it before it padded away and walked towards the fox, but she told me she didn't see it. I glanced back, and there it was, just walking away on the grass, but she repeated that she saw nothing. I had never seen a gray fox before, so when I got back home I researched and confirmed that the pictures looked very similar to the animal that I had seen.

Some 12 years after that last odd occurence, I had a couple of interesting moments during mass. The first occured sometime during fall. I was kneeling for prayer before mass started and I saw the strangest image of St. Michael kneeling in a pew in a church, much like we were, in full battle armor and a long fluttering translucent cape. Someone had come to retrieve him for something and, as he stood up, his unfurled wings were enormous. The two had serious expressions on their faces and I couldn't make out exactly what was being said, but as they walked back down the altar, they faded from my vision. Several months later, I kneeling in the middle of mass, after receiving the eucharist. The only sounds were the chorus singing the end of a song softly. Out of nowhere, before I even began to pray, I heard a male adult voice inside my right ear that said "Go forth and do my work." It wasn't a whisper and it wasn't a yell, but a clearly stated command. The thing about my right ear is that I had a mild infection that had yet to go away only on that side which pretty much muffled half the sound from it, but that day I heard it perfectly clear...in the one ear which I couldn't even hear all that properly in!

By this point, I realized I was quite the coward by nature. Through my adolescence I found out early on that money was the root of all evil, but it made the world go round. I tended to try to isolate myself, despite the fact that my family was persistent and my work involved helping the masses. I'm not like Peter, who would just up and follow the Big J without question, leaving everything behind (though, who knows how things really went back then)...I'm the kind of person that becomes reliable only in times of extreme crisis. After all, what will happen if EVERYONE loses their head during emergencies? But, each and every time I've been the driving force of, well, HELPING others...the repercussions have been pretty terrible. For my patron saint, I chose St. Martin of Porres because I wanted to be humble and help others without having to stress about it. But, I was named after St. Michael. A warrior up front and center. And, I just don't want to fight. Though, I suppose I'll eventually have to.

Lisa I am soo excited about your angel experience!! When I am overwelmed with discouragement as I have been in the pass when I was under loads of burdens like that house I was trying to sell--the Lord would bring me out of my body and show me some vision and then I would get a glimpse of what was a sign for me!! Nothing real graphic just a brief vision that related to my situation!!! I have not had this experience ever since I have been relieved of the heavy crosses!!
I still have crosses to bare but the load is lighter!!
Lisa when you mentioned that you may be going home in a week or so is that what they are saying?
If soo--great!!!!
How are your knees doing? I wonder if they have told you what type of treatment will be needed to correct your damaged knee cartlidge-is it repairable just with certain drugs or rest?
Keep up your therapy progress!! I am still fasting and praying and I have lost 7 pounds in the last couple of weeks- I actually could loose another 7 in a few days if I wanted to but the weight lose is not what I am trying to acheive-my prayers are totally conscentrated on things that I am praying about pertaining to my own life and I am saying many prayers to your situation-it looks like our RITAN prayers are being answered big time!!!
When we go through a fiery trial there is never a basket full of good times envolved-more like a basketcase of nerves and raw emotions until the whole ordeal is over with-the light does appear at the end of the tunnel; but some times it takes some hard times to get all the way through that dark and dank and miserable tunnel of dispair-but relief and rest and joy and victory is on the other side!!!
Angels of God be with our sister Lisa every day that she is in this hospital and don't let any evil come near her in Jesus name---AMEN!!!
