For sale is 1981 Moto Guzzi Monza. The Monza has 8,250 miles and it is in very good original condition, a survivor in original condition. She is not a trailer queen, but she runs strong and handles like she is on rails. Moto Guzzi is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer whose engineers sculpt an exotic motorcycle for the art of carving a corner. The Monza is a compact light weight nimble motorcycle that corners as if it is attached to a rail. There is enough power to pull like a tractor without the rise and fall from driveshaft torque while throttling up or down. The Monza is known as the baby Lemans. The Monza 1 was produced from 1981 to 1982. All Monza frame and engine serial numbers will have the prefix of PE. Manufactured in 1981 only approximately 100 are known to exist in in the USA.

The Monza doesn’t come up often. Moto Guzzi’s 500cc V-twin baby brother to the Le Mans, built for two years and largely forgotten outside of the faithful. The seller’s “attached to a rail” description is one you hear a lot from people who’ve actually ridden one.

Eight thousand miles on a 45-year-old Italian bike with a clean title and matching PE-prefix VIN is a solid starting point. The seller isn’t faking the rarity either: the Monza 1 production window was tight, and surviving examples in original condition are genuinely scarce.

Seven grand for a numbers-matching, running, original-condition survivor? That’s not a stretch, especially if Connecticut storage has been kind to it. Worth a call, worth a look.

2005 Honda RC51

Honda remained faithful to their beloved V4 superbikes in World Superbike racing for years, until it became clear that the rules had begun to heavily favor Ducati and their v-twins. They finally capitulated and grudingly introduced the v-twin powered Honda RC51, a bike with an almost workmanlike vibe in stark contrast to the rare and exotic RC30 and RC45. It hardly mattered: the new bike won the WSBK championship the first year it competed in 2000, and then again in 2002, after which Honda withdrew official support for the bike, although production continued until 2006. Almost like they were trying to prove a point… Instead of Ducati’s famous steel trellis, Honda’s v-twin used an aluminum beam frame, with side-mounted radiators to allow the engine to be mounted as far forward in the chassis as possible. Gear-driven cams added a bit of exotic whine to overlay the v-twin boom from the exhaust. Fuel mileage provided by the massive throttle-bodies was pretty dismal and part-throttle response came in for criticism, but fans of Honda superbikes certainly didn’t care then and won’t care now.

2005 Honda RC51 (RVT1000/VTR/SP2).

10,080 miles. Excellent condition but could use new fork seals. Minor imperfections here and there but you won’t find another clean one these days in the sexy black and gray color scheme. Clean CA title with current registration. Yoshimura carbon fiber slip ons and Sargent seat. Otherwise stock.

Will consider trade for a newer low mileage BMW R1250 RT

Honda’s RC51/RVT1000 was no doubt a successful racing machine, but it never seemed to really capture the public’s imagination and didn’t seem to be a big seller for the company, making it a rare machine today. The relatively unimaginative styling may have had something to do with that: here it looks pretty sinister in basic black/grey but, large, period Honda trapezoidal headlights aside, there’s not much distinctive about it. That being said, it’s an excellent sportbike, excepting the poor fuel consumption, especially once Honda had made a few tweaks to the original bike to improve the handling. The $12,000 asking price is on the high side for an RC51, but not outrageous given the low miles and good condition. The tasty Yoshimura slip-ons and Sargent seat are just a nice bonus.

1998 Yamaha YZF750R

Originally introduced in 1993, the Yamaha YZF750R was the company’s followup to their earlier FZR750 and was ultimately designed to carry on the racing legacy of the very exotic OW01. The new bike was naturally powered by a 749cc inline four with Yamaha’s signature five-valve per cylinder head and their surprisingly effective EXUP or “exhaust ultimate powervalve” that gave a relatively wide, flat powerband, compared to rivals. Braking was impressive, with six-piston calipers up front. The YZF750 generally came in two flavors: the more exotic, homologation SP “sport production” version with close-ratio gearbox, solo tail, high-spec suspension, and flat-slide carburetors, and the more basic R version, although even that version was fitted with high-quality Öhlins suspension components in later years.

Up for sale is my 1998 Yamaha YZF750R, in near mint condition. This is a rare bike only made for 5 years, an this version made for 2 years not many around or left. This bike had a complete tear down a rebuild finished in 2021 no expense spared while building. This bike has upgrades, the bike runs, shifts and stops with no issues. Then only issue the bike has is the kick stand safety switch need too hooked back up a the starter makes noise when starting it for the first time from the winter in the garage.

This particular Yamaha YZF750R represents the end of the line for 750cc sportbikes, as it was built the very same year that the mighty Yamaha R1 was first introduced. The R1 helped bring an end to the popularity the 750cc category, a class that had, up until that point, combined the best of both power and handling. The YZF750R came in a dizzying array of graphics and this scheme does generally appear to be correct, although the red hugger and gold brakes are later updates and the wheels do appear to have been aesthetically enhanced a bit as well. Other than the smoked windscreen and the visually understated but otherwise conceptually horrifying slash-cut muffler, this appears to be a very nice, low-mile example of Yamaha’s classic superbike. The asking price is high, but the the listing is “or best offer” so perhaps the seller is open to some reasonable negotiations.

The Smokin’ Joe’s CBR600F3 is one of those bikes that doesn’t need a sales pitch. Purple and yellow, Joe Camel on the fairing, Miguel Duhamel’s name behind it. You either know what you’re looking at or you don’t. The seller does, at least, confirm the VIN checks out — always worth verifying on these since the livery has been faked with sticker kits more than once.

The 1996 is the rarer of the Smokin’ Joe’s years. At $4,800 with 9,000 miles and a recent tune, it sits at the low end of what these are selling for right now. A clean ’98 with 3,000 miles went for $8,800 at Mecum in January. This one has more miles and less documentation, but the price reflects that.

Not a bad place to land if the bike is as solid as the seller says. Worth a phone call.

Why is this a modern mystery? Ten years ago, nobody would have blinked at a ZX6R. Now there are 46 people watching this one on eBay. Low miles, mint condition, proper Kawasaki racing green. Time does funny things.

With less than 500 miles a year, this bike’s keeper loved it from a distance, unlike Gary. Gary loves his bikes up close, from the saddle. And I bet there are a few Garys out there ready to give this thing the street time it deserves.

So this popped up on Facebook Marketplace in Massachusetts and we had to share it. A 1993 CBR900RR SC28 with just over 7,000 miles, completely stock down to the original tires. The seller says the only blemish is a small scuff on the muffler. Look at it.

Clean ’93 Fireblades are getting serious money at auction right now, so seeing one show up on FB Marketplace is a little unexpected. Whether the price reflects that is another question. Looking forward to hearing your estimates on the price. A similar bike sold for $11,500 on BaT only six months ago.

1989 Honda CB400

1989 HONDA CB400F / CB-1- Excellent and unmolested condition. Rare 4 cylinder 400cc with gear driven cams. No timing chain to worry about and valves stay in adjustment.

Starts, stops, runs, and rides perfectly. Carbs are clean and jetted perfectly. Has hard to find Honda OEM Japanese market stainless steel exhaust, turn signals, and rear fender. Bridgestone dual compound radial tires in very good condition. Has period correct Targa Tsunami dealer option fiberglass quarter fairing. The motorcycle is professionally painted with tank decals under clear coat. The metallic blue paint looks fantastic in sunlight. Smooth engine with excellent power. Comes with service manual, tool kit, two keys, and a set of standard mirrors.

Minimal modifications include stainless steel front brake line, bar end mirrors, and upgraded front suspension (RaceTech fork springs and adjustable gold valves). Custom seat in pictures raises the seat height by about an inch or so, perfect for me at 5’9” tall with a 30 inseam. Also includes the original stock seat in perfect condition, which will suit shorter riders.

Relatively low seat height and very light weight make it a perfect bike for riders of any age and any experience. This is a smaller size bike, if you’re over 6’ it’s probably not the bike for you. Comes with service manual, bill of sale, and copy of current registration in my name.

The CB-1 doesn’t show up clean very often, and this one’s about as clean as they come. Only 4,837 miles on a 37-year-old bike, and the seller describes it as “excellent and unmolested”. It’s been repainted in a deep blue, with the tank decals sealed under clear coat. It’s also wearing the OEM Japanese-market stainless exhaust and rear fender (both legitimately hard to find), a period-correct Targa Tsunami quarter fairing, and fresh Bridgestone radials.

The only mods worth noting are a stainless front brake line, bar-end mirrors, and RaceTech fork springs with gold valves up front. Everything else is stock or better. Comes with the service manual, tool kit, two keys, and both a custom seat and the original stocker.

One flag: title is listed as missing, so do your homework before making the trip to Connecticut.

The CB-1 was only sold here for the 1989 and 1990 model years, and Cycle World called it a great motorcycle that never found an audience. That’s exactly why clean survivors are hard to find today. Under 5k miles, unmolested, with the Japanese-market hardware still on it, that’s a rare combination. Sort out the title situation and this one is worth a serious look.

This 2020 AMB 001 is a track-only collaboration between Aston Martin and Brough Superior and is the first motorcycle to wear Aston Martin wings. It is one of 100 examples produced for the model year and was purchased new by the seller. The bike is powered by a turbocharged 997cc 88-degree V-twin mated to a six-speed transmission and features carbon-fiber bodywork finished in Stirling Green and exposed gloss with Lime Essence accents as well as a hand-stitched black leather solo saddle, an aerodynamic front wing, a carbon-fiber handlebar, rear-set foot controls, LED lighting, and a two-into-one Inconel exhaust system. The billet backbone frame, Fior-type fork, rear swingarm, and 17″ wheels come from CNC-machined aluminum, and additional equipment includes triple disc brakes, front and rear monoshocks, and progressive rear suspension linkage. This AMB 001 is now offered in New Jersey for display or off-road use only with manufacturer’s literature, a rear paddock stand, a smartphone, and a bill of sale.

Considering we have never had an Aston Martin/Brough Superior on the site, we had to post this.

Only a few hours left before the auction ends. Based on what I read in the comments, I’m guessing the seller wants to break $100k.

NCR600TT commented, “I found online information on two of these at recent auction.

The first #63 in Belgium did not meet reserve.

But #94 did sell in England for 99,950 GBP ($135,882).
That bike being the only one in red I’ve seen.

Price new in the US, these were $121,000.

The current AMB 01 PRO model is listed at $183,895, but with extras bring the price up to $195,000. Only 88 are slated for production. Not only do you get a power bump to 225bhp, but a crazier paint scheme to boot.

If Aston Martin survives is questionable. With 2025 losses of GBP 495,000,000, and debt of GBP 1.38 Billion. I doubt it. I could have told them this would happen, when they changed to being a luxury lifestyle brand, instead of an automobile manufacturer.

These seem to hold their value. If they are an appreciating asset remains to be seen.”

2024 KTM RC 8C

In spite of their CEO publicly decrying the development of high-powered sportbikes for the street, KTM has continued to create and market grin-inducing, sometimes overpowered motorcycles for both on-and-off road use. After the RC8R was discontinued, the company introduced a very limited run of KTM RC 8Cs to demonstrate their intent to produce sportbikes that catered to the trackday crowd. Just 100 were produced in 2021/2022, with an additional 200 built for this example’s 2024 run. The new bike was an evolution of the Krämer GP2, and powered by the company’s lightweight, compact 890cc LC8 parallel-twin, instead of the RC8R’s massive v-twin, slotted into a stiff, lightweight trellis frame. The LC8 engine’s 135hp [up from the 2021/2022 model’s 126hp] might not sound like much, until you consider the claimed 313lb weight… This 2024 version also added a new dash with a suite of rider aids, including lean-sensitive traction control, a quickshifter/autoblipper, and heavily revised engine internals to allow higher revs and achieve the previously mentioned horsepower increase.

The 2024 KTM RC is engineered for riders who demand precision, aggression, and a true connection to the road. Built around a potent 889 cc parallel-twin engine, this machine delivers a hard-hitting 98 Nm of torque that comes alive in the midrange, making it equally thrilling on tight canyon roads and fast, flowing straights. The power delivery is smooth yet explosive when pushed, thanks to the Bosch EMS with ride-by-wire, giving riders a refined throttle response that feels both controlled and race-ready.

What sets the KTM RC apart is how effortlessly it translates engine performance into real-world riding confidence. The lightweight chrome-moly tubular space frame provides exceptional rigidity while maintaining a responsive, agile feel. Combined with a compact 1400 mm wheelbase and sharp steering geometry, the bike reacts instantly to rider input—perfect for carving through San Diego’s twisty backroads or attacking apexes on a closed course.

There’s more from the seller of this KTM RC 8C over at the original listing, but it’s basically the spec sheet with a whole bunch of added hyperbole. Someone should reach out to them though, and let them know that any new owner won’t be “carving through San Diego’s twisty backroads” or “exploring Southern California roads” unless they’re also prepared to run from the cops, as this particular ready-to-race sportbike has no lights, signals, bracket for a license plate, or any sort of road-legal status. What it does have is enough performance to keep the most jaded trackday junkie entertained and humble much more powerful sportbikes when ridden properly, along with enough exclusivity to ensure values remain high in the long run.

1995 Ducati 900SS

The Tamburini-designed 916 won the hearts and shattered the bank accounts of riders in the 90s, but it was the more modestly engineered Ducati 900SS that kept the lights on and provided a more affordable avenue for Italian motorcycle ownership. This version of Ducati’s evergreen SuperSport was powered by a 904cc version of the company’s air/oil-cooled v-twin, with the obligatory Desmo valve actuation, and backed by a six-speed gearbox. The engine produced a claimed 84 crankshaft horses, but closer to 70 at the rear wheel is more realistic. The bike came in different trim levels, depending on year, although Ducati eventually settled into dividing the bike into SS/CR and SS/SP versions, with the CR being the cheaper, often half-faired bike with more basic suspension, and the SP or “sport production” bikes offering some carbon bling and uprated suspension. Both versions are entertaining beyond what the spec sheet suggests, parts availability is good and, with a bit of luck, they can be surprisingly reliable.

The Ducati 900SS represents a very affordable way into classic Ducati ownership. It doesn’t offer the performance of a 916, but then again, even a 916 doesn’t offer much straight-line performance when compared to modern superbikes… Instead, you get traditional Ducati virtues: stable handling and that charismatic v-twin rumble, here unmuted by liquid-cooling and further liberated by the Termignoni exhausts. These two-valve twins are also relatively simple and inexpensive to maintain, provided you buy one that’s been well-cared-for and have a bit of luck. This example has a bit more miles than a collector might ideally want, but the 26,000 miles indicated by the seller are nothing to be worried about: these engines can go the distance when properly looked after. The biggest issue here is the seller’s $5,600 Buy It Now price, which puts it at the higher end of the market for these at the moment, as it has the more basic, non-adjustable fork. Probably, the next owner won’t mind, considering how its likely to be ridden, but serious canyon-carvers might hold out for a slightly higher-spec 900SS/SP that came with an adjustable fork and shock.
