2023-10-25T09:15:00.008-07:00

In the world of gaming, it's easy to get lost in the blockbuster titles and big-budget releases from industry giants. However, there's something truly magical about supporting small indie gaming companies. They often start with humble beginnings, face challenges, and work tirelessly to bring their creative visions to life. A shining example of this journey is Larian Studios and their remarkable transformation, culminating in the creation of "Baldur's Gate 3."

The Early Days of Larian Studios: A Rocky Start

Larian Studios wasn't always a household name in the gaming world. In fact, their journey began with a series of relatively unknown and, in some cases, poorly received games. Titles like "Divine Divinity" and "Beyond Divinity" faced mixed reviews and struggled to gain widespread recognition. But what sets Larian Studios apart is their unwavering dedication to improving and learning from their experiences.

The Turning Point: "Divinity: Original Sin"

Larian Studios hit their turning point with "Divinity: Original Sin." Released in 2014, this crowdfunded CRPG (Computer Role-Playing Game) was a breath of fresh air in the gaming industry. It received critical acclaim for its deep storytelling, complex gameplay mechanics, and the freedom it offered to players. This game proved that indie studios could deliver exceptional gaming experiences.

The Crowdfunding Revolution

A significant part of Larian Studios' success came from crowdfunding and community support. They engaged with their audience and listened to player feedback, which helped them refine their games. This close relationship with their fans not only provided essential funding but also ensured that the games they created catered to the desires of their dedicated player base.

"Baldur's Gate 3": The Culmination of a Dream

Fast forward to the present day, and Larian Studios is responsible for one of the most highly anticipated games of all time, "Baldur's Gate 3." This sequel to the iconic "Baldur's Gate" series showcases the studio's evolution. The game, which is in early access at the time of writing, is a testament to what can be achieved with unwavering commitment and community support.

Why Supporting Small Indie Gaming Companies Matters

The story of Larian Studios and "Baldur's Gate 3" underscores the importance of supporting small indie gaming companies. When you back these studios, you are not only supporting their dreams but also fostering an environment where creative risks are taken, innovation thrives, and unique, unforgettable gaming experiences are born.

In the case of Larian Studios, the journey from obscurity to developing what many consider the greatest game of all time is a testament to the potential of indie gaming. So, next time you're browsing for new games to play, consider looking beyond the big titles and explore the offerings of small indie studios. You might just discover the next gaming masterpiece and become a part of an incredible journey, much like the one that led to "Baldur's Gate 3."

Supporting small indie gaming companies not only helps them bring their creative visions to life but also contributes to the diversity and innovation in the gaming industry, enriching the experiences available to players.

Larian Studios' Early Games: Larian Studios did release games like "Divine Divinity" and "Beyond Divinity," and they faced mixed reviews initially. "Divine Divinity" was released in 2002, while "Beyond Divinity" followed in 2004.

"Divinity: Original Sin": "Divinity: Original Sin" was indeed a significant turning point for Larian Studios. It was released in 2014 and received critical acclaim for its storytelling, gameplay mechanics, and the freedom it offered to players.

Crowdfunding and Community Support: Larian Studios used crowdfunding for their games, including "Divinity: Original Sin" and "Divinity: Original Sin 2." Crowdfunding allowed them to engage with their audience, gather feedback, and secure funding for development.

Unlocking the Potential: The Benefits of a Rising Bitcoin Price

2023-10-24T08:56:00.002-07:00

Bitcoin, the world's most popular cryptocurrency, has been making headlines for years, and its price movements have captivated the financial world. While the volatility of Bitcoin's price may raise concerns for some, there are significant benefits to a rising Bitcoin price that are worth exploring. Here are a few key advantages:

Increased Investment Returns: When the price of Bitcoin rises, it can lead to substantial returns for early investors. Those who had the foresight to buy Bitcoin when it was less expensive have seen their investments grow significantly. This can serve as a powerful incentive for people to consider Bitcoin as part of their investment portfolio.

Portfolio Diversification: Bitcoin offers a unique opportunity to diversify an investment portfolio. Its price movements often differ from traditional assets like stocks and bonds, making it a valuable addition for risk management. A rising Bitcoin price can enhance portfolio diversification and help spread risk.

Mainstream Recognition: As Bitcoin's price climbs, it garners increased attention from the mainstream media and financial institutions. This acknowledgment can lead to a broader acceptance of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, potentially paving the way for more innovative use cases and adoption in various industries.

Global Financial Inclusion: A higher Bitcoin price can potentially open up financial opportunities for individuals in countries with less stable or accessible financial systems. Bitcoin can be used for cross-border transactions, remittances, and as a store of value, providing people with greater financial freedom.

Incentive for Development: A rising Bitcoin price provides economic incentives for the development of new technologies, services, and infrastructure within the cryptocurrency ecosystem. This, in turn, drives innovation and leads to a more robust and secure blockchain network.

Increased Awareness and Education: When Bitcoin's price surges, it sparks curiosity, and more people begin to educate themselves about cryptocurrencies. This learning process can result in a more informed and engaged community of cryptocurrency enthusiasts and investors.

Hedging Against Inflation: Bitcoin is often seen as a hedge against inflation, as its supply is limited to 21 million coins. When traditional currencies lose value due to inflation, the increasing price of Bitcoin can help preserve wealth and purchasing power.

It's important to remember that while a rising Bitcoin price comes with these benefits, it also carries risks due to its inherent volatility. As with any investment, it's crucial to do thorough research, understand your risk tolerance, and consider seeking advice from financial professionals before getting involved in the cryptocurrency market.

In conclusion, a rising Bitcoin price can have numerous advantages, from potential investment gains to fostering financial inclusion and technological progress. However, it's essential to approach the cryptocurrency market with caution, diversify your investments, and stay informed to make the most of these opportunities.

Please keep in mind that cryptocurrency investments are subject to high volatility and risk, and it's important to do your own research and consider your financial situation and risk tolerance before investing in cryptocurrencies.

Mastering Spider Tanks: A Beginner's Guide to Success

Spider Tanks have taken the gaming world by storm, and as the popularity of these mechanical marvels soars, so does the demand for skilled pilots. If you're new to the Spider Tank universe and looking to make a name for yourself, fear not! In this blog post, we'll share valuable tips from experienced pilots to help you navigate the Spider Tank pilot program with finesse and achieve success.

Setting up a Spider Tank pilot program is crucial for a smooth launch and continued progress. To get started, immerse yourself in the world of Spider Tanks by watching videos that provide an excellent overview of the game mechanics. Rent tanks for daily gameplay and aim for at least one victory a day to familiarize yourself with different tank and weapon combinations.

When choosing tanks and weapons, visit the shooting range to try out various options. Observe gameplay strategies and experiment to find your preferred playstyle. Consider tank and weapon combinations that maintain balance while adapting to game and meta changes.

Making an initial investment in Spider Tank NFTs is essential for generating revenue. Look for epic tanks during sales and consider upgrading them to enhance returns. Pairing a maxed-out legendary tank with a skilled pilot can maximize earnings, as higher-ranked pilots earn more victory points (VP), contributing to greater financial gains.

To increase earnings, focus on leveling tanks to 30. Upgrading tanks not only boosts income but also generates a snowball effect for greater profitability. Aim for excellent or perfect upgrades to obtain better multipliers on VP. With strategic management, a larger starting investment can act as a catalyst, propelling your program forward through a snowball effect.

While the process of withdrawing silk and its impact on honor points may be unfamiliar, it is a significant aspect that warrants further exploration. Carefully consider the withdrawal of silk and conduct thorough investigation to make informed decisions.

Embarking on a Spider Tank pilot program may seem daunting, but armed with the knowledge shared by experienced pilots, you can confidently steer your way towards success. Choose your tanks and weapons wisely, level up and upgrade diligently, and make strategic investments to unlock the full potential of this exciting universe. Happy piloting!

Ponyo fish in the sea

2022-12-23T11:00:00.000-08:00

Ponyo of the sea

Another review for a Studio Ghibli film. Ponyo has some similarities to other Ghibli films but this storyline is certainly all its own. The story starts out with a crazy looking man in the ocean doing something to the sea. This man (voiced by Liam Neeson ). He is a very smart wizard that maintains the balance of the sea above all else everything must remain in balance. He hates humans because they pollute his world and add chaos to the ocean. Liam's character is developing a plot to overtake the humans with an explosion of life "to match the Cambrian"...but we will get to that later.

Liam's character, the wizard, has a peculiar collection of goldfish that look oddly enough like little humans. This is where the story starts. The biggest of the fish escape from the ship and gets caught up in a net with a bunch of garbage. She gets stuck in a glass jar and is washed on shore where a little boy named Sauske finds her. He tried to get her out but in the end he must break the jar and in doing so he cuts himself. The little fish takes a lick of the boys blood from his thumb...and this is where it all begins

Ponyo - a studio ghibli film

Ponyo begins to slowly take on more human traits and eventually she even makes hands and feet for herself. Liam's character eventually catches the little fish, but the fish does not stay in captivity for long. She releases the trigger that will populate the seas with an explosion of life a little too early and she escapes to find her best friend Sauske.

There are many famous voice overs for Ponyo. Sauske's mom is voiced by Tina Fey and one of the older ladies is voiced by Betty White. Matt Damon is also a voice for one of the characters.

Ponyo is a fanciful tale of the sea...it is full of magic and love as two young people find their way thorugh an adventure of their lives.

Full Metal Alchemist - Brotherhood

2017-12-06T07:00:00.000-08:00

Full Metal Alchemist

Seriously one of my favorite animes out there...I would however recommend watching 'brotherhood'...it seems to follow the storyline better.

FMA deserves the full 10 our of 10 for best anime so far....I have seen many different series and this one had me on the edge of the seat till the end.

The series focuses on the lives of two young brothers who live in a small house in the country. Their father is a master alchemist and he travels the world...leaving the young boys at home with their mother. The boys spend a lot of their time studying their fathers alchemy books and they slowly learn the art of transmutation. Eventually the mother grows sick and she dies, leaving the boys all alone.

Basic Alchemy

The young brothers attempt a forbidden transmutation that they learned from one of the many books in their fathers library. Young Edward and Alphonse attempts to bring their mother back from the dead. The boys dig through their fathers library in order to find the ingredients and the proper circle to complete the transmutation. The human body is made up of a collection of elements...not as much as you would think considering 75% is already H2O ...that only leaves 25% to be other stuff ....carbon, calcium, iron etc...so Edward and Alphonse collect the precise amount of ingredients to make another body and place it in the middle of the circle.

The energy generated from the circle versus the energy needed to bring a soul back from across the underworld do not match up...leaving the brothers to be additional sacrifices to complete the transmutation.

young boys with a transmutation circle

Edward and Alphonse go through the 'portal', and are taken to a place with no light or darkness...in this space between places there is the one being, Edward and his gate. Once an alchemist goes through the portal he or she learns quite a bit about the science behind alchemy and some other fundamental rules....however there is always a price.

Edward had to lose his arm in order to get back through the portal...and Alphonse, was less lucky. His entire body was taken to the place between places. Edward does some quick thinking and managed to bind his brothers soul to a suit of armor....unfortunately this is another form of the taboo human transmutation and he must sacrifice his leg in order to complete the transmutation.

That is pretty much where the series starts off....Edward gets new limbs from their neighbors, who specialize in 'automail'....prosthetics and such....but this automail is technologically advanced even to our standards today. Poor Alphonse has to live the rest of his life in a suit of empty armor. The boys make a pact then and there to never forget what happened the night of their failed alchemy and will figure out how to make their bodies hole again....they leave town in order to peruse the libraries of the state alchemist, which is like a major in the army, so they can begin to unravel the mysteries of transmutation....more importantly the Elrich brothers begin their hunt for the philosophers stone.

A philosophers stone

The tale of the philosophers stone is one always shrouded in mystery and soaked in blood. Nothing good ever came from the use of a philosophers stone...a fact the young brothers take too long to figure out....
From reanimated corpses to engineered immortal humans the philosopher stone knows no boundaries.

An anime called Chobits

2017-05-08T15:00:00.000-07:00

Chobits

This is one of the many animated series that started as a manga (aka comic book) and was later turned into a show by that lovely company named funimation.
Chobits starts off innocent enough. The main character is what I like to refer to as a country bumpkin out somewhere in rural China. He doesn't have anyone to talk to besides thr livestock so he has a bad habit or thinking out load.
Hideki Motosuwa wants to go to college but he doesn't get accepted so he decides to take what little money he has saved up and enlist in a prep school in town. Simple story line so far right?
Well his first day in the city he notices everyone has a personal android/robot/computer called persecoms. He really really wants one for internet exploring.....however he cannot afford one. The rest of the day he continues to talk outloud about wanting a persecom but not being able to afford one. Amazing coincidence happens soon...he is thinking out load about finding a cute persecom in the trash as he is walking past one laying in a pile of trash....he gets a few steps past and does a slow motion double take.
He realizes that these human shaped computers are quite heavy when they are not operating, but eventually he gets the unit back to his little appartment. It just so happens this persecom in particular is very cute and the main character is continuously affected by her looks. It takes him a while to figure out where he on/off switch is located and once he figures it out he almost has a heart attack. The main character is unable to see the persecom as a machine and keeps thinking it is a real person.
Okay so the plot is a little more interesting ...but still the viewer is confused by what is actually going on. I mean another anime about a boy and a pretty female robot??
If you have made it this far the plot begins to unravel around this urban legend about legendary persecoms known as.....you guessed it "Chobits". It seems as if Chi is one of these legendary machines however all of her data is heavily encripted..so it is difficult to know for sure. Eventually Hideki Motosuwa gets to see an email attachment with what looks like chi all wired up with a marking on her leg. The persecoms ARM is covering up the first letter but you can clearly see 'hobit' so its safe to assume the first letter is a 'c'.

Chi also begins to read these odd books about "the one for me and only me" ...its difficult at first to be sure but these books seem to be written for/about Chi.
There is now a plot and the anime is worth watching to see what happens to Chi...will she be abducted? Possibly taken back by her maker or so other unknown villan? Will she fall in love with a human? Will the human love her back?

Darker than Black the anime

2017-04-30T17:00:00.000-07:00

A night sky full of cries hearts filled with lies the contract--is it worth the price? a soul pledged to the darkness now I've lost it, I know I can kill the truth is just beyond the Gate

Another anime I have found thanks to netflix. This one has a plot right out of the gate. Plenty of action and the introduction isn't super lame like some other animes I know.
This anime takes place in a city somewhere in China. There is a massive wall that makes a boundry between the city and 'hells gate' ...which is an area where odd things happen. Apparently one day it just appeared and things began to change. The sky fell and all of the real stars vanished. The real stars were replaced by 'fake' stars, each one corresponding to a contractor.
There are these humans, kept secret from the masses, known as contractors and some know as spectors. Someone who is a contractor has some special ability, but at a cost. They are know to have an involuntary need to pay some price each time an ability is used. This is very interesting to see a reacurring idea of equal exchange across all sorts of stories. Contractors are known to be cold and methodical...with no regard to emotions
Anyhow the first episode show a man running from something and he is on a roof of a tall building, he gets cornered by some sort of police. The man begins to glow blue, which means he is activating his special ability, and he flies into the air. A few blocks away on another roof he lands and runs to a secluded area. This contractor then takes his own finger and breaks it. Our main character is there waiting for him and makes a remark about his 'price' ...the viewer now learns special abilities, like levatation, come with a sacrifice....sometimes that sacrifice is extreme and sometimes it is subtle. The man gets dealt with and the main character dissapears into the night.

Contractors are still mostly human...except they have lost all empathy and compassion for anything. Contractors are thought to be methodical and relentless by the rest of the world. While spectors on the other hand are more like dolls/robots with a human shape. Spectors can move outside of their body through a medium, water or even electricity, and can watch or spectate the things around them. The government has a massive network of these dolls keeping track of the contractors through some odd link to astrology. Every contractor has a star that appears in the fake sky that will 'activate' when that specific contractor is using a special ability. The story revolves around the a syndicate...some mysterious power pulling all sorts of strings. The main character is a unassuming school boy. However when he works as an assassin for the "syndicate" he is known as 'the black reaper'.

Examples of the price to pay:
There is a duo that works for the government and the male has the control over water....his price is smoking cigarettes. The female, who can manifest a storms, must drink beer. Those are the best prices I have encountered...

There is another male who works as a mercenary and his ability is to detonate any blood that is outside of his body...the price to be paid is the initial cut to get the blood flowing so his price is paid before he uses his ability. On the command of his finger snap anything that has his blood on it will explode.
Another woman has the ability to vibrate anything to any frequency using her voice....she has an interesting price. Her price is perpetuated from the previous life she lived....he daughter choked and died on cigarette butts and therefore he price is to swallow and hack up cigarette butts.

The Cat Returns a studio ghibli film

2017-03-19T20:00:00.000-07:00

The Cat Returns

This is an earlier studio ghibli film and if you happen to have seen most of the other films you will notice a common character. This story is light, upbeat and generally humorous...if you like cats. There are many different characters but most are animals...this story doesn't exactly have an underlying value to teach except be careful who you save and know what your getting into before it is too late.
This story starts out with a young girl, pretty common studio ghibli cliche, walking to school with one of her girl friends. As they walk the one girl notices something odd about a stray cat. He was walking on his back legs...and also carrying a package in his mouth. The girl proceeds to absentmindedly have conversation with her friend but keeps an eye on the cat. Eventually the little rascal decides to cross the street without realizing a large truck would smoosh him to a pancake. So the heroine of the story grabs her friends field hockey stick and springs across the street to scoop the cat up, nearly getting hit herself. The cat then speaks with her for a while and proceeds as if nothing major just happened and disappears with the package.
If only the poor girl would have left the cat alone and gone to school on time...because she just saved the prince of the cat kingdom...yes somewhere hidden in the city full of people there was a place ruled by cats and only cats.

Anyhow this poor girl will now be praised by the royal cat family and showered with gifts. An ambassador for the cat finds her in the human world and deliveres an itinerary of gifts to be received. The girl is obviously in denial that a talking cat is going to give her presents so she goes home and goes to bed as normal...but when she wakes up her front lawn is overgrown with cat tails...and for some reason all the stray cats in the neighborhood start to follow her, she freaks out and runs to school to find out her pockets are filled with cat nip. Now she is beginning to get consirned. As she goes through the day doing normal girl stuff, crushing on boys she is to nervous to talk to, the ambassador shows up asking about the presents. The girl yells at him for a while making it clear she is not a feline and does not want a bunch of cat gifts. The ambassador invites her to the cat kingdom, but the request is just a formallity because she has no choice to go or not. Now she is taking these cats seriously as a bizzare threat. She trips and falls over and lands in a pile of trash, a voice in her head tells her to seek out a fat white cat that will protect her from the cat kingdom....and that is where the plot gets going.
On her wild goose chase she finds the fat white cat and eventually he leads her through a maze of alleyways to meet the baron.
She is in an empty plaza as the sun sets and all of a sudden light begins to shine through a window of a tiny building....this is apparently the baron coming to life but we never figure out what exactly is happening. The fat cat tells this new petite cat, the baron, to quit with the theatrics. The baron is an interesting cat dressed in a three piece suit with a cane. Before they all can get down to business however a whole bunch of cats appear and take the girl....the fat cat gives chase while the baron takes his flying mount, a raven, in pursuit of the young lady. The horde of cats begin to make these weird portals to jump through space and eventually they jump into their cat kingdom....the next part of the movie is interesting and silly. Not the best work by studio ghibli but not terrible either...I would probably watch it a few times. 5 out of 10

Kodama Inspired Work

2016-03-19T15:13:00.000-07:00

I had no idea how much people like these little tree spirits...I do have to admit they are very cute.
I am wanting to use these little Kodamas to make some sort of design for furniture or maybe a tshirt....anyhow here is my inspiration...

The first one reminds me a little of a famous artist know for his graffiti. Banksy is well know for his graffiti, but he usually has some sort of message.

Here is even an example of a tattoo of a Kodama. I would potentially consider some skin art myself only I would use the little kodama from the last picture.

Maybe even a Kodama themed bag set...or a blanket or something....these little tree spirits get so much attention I've got to do something.

Howl's Moving Castle - Absolute Perfection from Studio Ghibli

2016-03-10T12:53:00.000-08:00

Howl's Moving Castle(100/100)

This is my very close second favorite Studio Ghibli movie. It has wizards, witches and wars. Everything you could want in a movie. Beautiful scenery and exciting magic...also some very interesting life lessons to be learned. Howl's Moving Castle has a easy to follow storyline that most children will be able to follow and love. If you are not a child don't worry about getting too bored because the storyline is intense enough to keep everyone of all age groups interested.

This is truly a magical tale about two people who fall in love.

A quick summery:
The story starts out with a young girl who is a hat maker. Unfortunately it seems she happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time...however after you watch the movie a few times you will realize her fate gets tied into that of Howl's and the entire storyline is destined to happen over and over and over again. The young hat maker is closing up her shop when an ugly woman enters the place and curses the young girl so she will eventually meet up with Howl and deliver a letter.
The moving castle itself doesn't look much like a castle at all but a sort of run down collection of buildings on moving legs. As we proceed through the movie we learn the castle is magical and being held together mostly by the power of a fire demon who has made a deal with master Howl.
The wizard in question is fighting both sides of the war trying to make the senseless struggle end. He has at least two aliases and two places of residence in either of the major cities that are at war. He eventually gets called to serve in the war for both sides.

Eventually he keeps pushing his magical skills too far and turns into a massive raven when he fights off the battleships. After too much longer the storyline gets a little tangled and you will have to see it to believe
it....so I certainly suggest watching this movie.

At the very end of the movie we get a glimpse of his new and improved moving castle....if you are like me then seeing castle in the sky is something only in dreams.

Tom Clancy's The Division Beta is almost over

2016-01-31T14:01:00.000-08:00

If you were like me and very curious about the potential for Tom Clancys "The Division", hopeful you scored a beta code and were able to jump in....but if you didn't allow me to sum up my
experience.
Comparing destiny to the division is not acceptable. They are not even close enough to compare accurately, but for the sake of argument I will give it a try.
The division and destiny both have "open" roaming worlds. The division and destiny both use guns as a main damage dealing medium. The division and destiny both have character inventory slots to equip armor...anything more than that and the two are not alike.
The division is a 3rd person shooter where flaking and staying under cover while engaging enemies is key. After a few hundred hours of this gameplay you will get bored. I am very interested to see if The Division can come up with any interesting boss mechanics.
The beta doesnt really give you enough story to get to a 'boss' but it does open up a section of the darkness zone - which is a free roam PvE & PvP battleground. Its a very cool idea so far, quite a bit of fin as long as you are with a team...I really cannot suggest going in solo or you will just get destroyed by a team of 4.
Anyone can shoot at you and kill you, people who kill other players get flagged as a rouge and they are worth points to kill, so be careful. When you kill a player you have a timer until you are no longer a rouge. When killed as a rouge you lose more experience, money, and most of your items.
Anything you pick up in the DZ must be extracted to be decontaminated.

TLDR: It has some potential - not as smooth as destiny

Destiny the game is getting called out by high valued gamers/streamers

2016-01-25T10:00:00.000-08:00

Here is Triplewreks take on the current state of destiny...please watch the whole thing its almost painful to hear him talk about "the good old days" Bungivi$ion has dropped the ball on destiny. There is always hope, but these are indeed "dark times" .

Triplewrek is not the only one to express concern. The verge and forbes even have bad click bait articles saying to 'quit' destiny now.

Make a stand guardians, make your own opinion. I will never quit destiny...I may stop playing a little bit, but I will never stop.

The light in me honors the light in you

Destiny the game January Update

2016-01-23T16:22:00.000-08:00

Ok so there was not much meat in the destiny update. Lots and lots of destiny fan boys have been
ragging for a few weeks now and its really getting old.
Destiny the game subreddit has been consumed by fanboys/girls applying massive amounts of salt and complaining non stop.

This is my plea to these hardcore gamers...YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES PLAYING THIS GAME! Most of us have a 9 to 5 gig and then a significant other/family at home and we cant play 4 hours a day every day.
Lets just put that figure in perspective 4 hours a day every day since the game came out. What other game every has had that much play time? You can maybe make a argument for those massive MMORPGS, but destiny is not an MMORPG. This game is in some total uncharted water here so relax guys.

With that being said, the salt in completely uncalled for, normal gamer's still have plenty of content to play through. and if there is not enough content for you then please stop playing for a few days/week and maybe go outside....

So the update was a bunch of fluff, we have another silly event for valentines day - something about doubles crucible......and the developers have heard that the players are unhappy about the crucible matchmaking...it is in the works

In closing...if you guys are not having fun playing or want more content, stop playing for a while...there is no new content coming, these stuff takes months and months to generate. All games ever take a lot of time to develop.

The response from the community really shows how much players LOVE this game. Do not listen to the haters, this game is simply amazing. Destiny 1 had a rich story that was ripped apart last minute, WE DO NOT WANT TO SEE THIS MISTAKE REPEATED.
Please understand that we want Bungie to take their time with destiny 2...please for the love of the traveler do not rip the story apart....and also sometimes a linear play through it not the worst thing ever.

Ark: Survival Evolved xbox one game review

2016-01-11T10:30:00.000-08:00

I was on the xbox market place watching trailers for "the division" and I came upon a free trial for
this game. i said to myself...heck I like survival adventure games and this one has dinosaurs!! So I finally get the "trial" downloaded, which happens to be the full game and when I start I get a message that tells me I have 1 hour to play. So I am thinking Ok, thats enough time to make an opinion about the game........I was wrong. One hour is just long enough for you to get some tiny idea of what you are doing.
When you first start you need to pick your server and PVP or PVE I had no idea what to expect so I went with PVE - I now can see how it would be more fun to have PVP, but I only have 1 session so I went with PVE.
You start out with nothing...not even a tutorial.
All you have is your fists. I played on Xbox so the controls may be a bit different for everyone but after about 10 minutes to stumbling and bumbling I found out how to get the inventory open (Hold B). In your inventory screen you can see all your vital stats, and you have a ton. Food/water/sleep among other things are all on a countdown which may intimidate you at first, but fear not you can survive.

Anyhow, in order to progress you need to 'do' stuff...so start doing stuff. Basically you need to punch trees until you get 1 level up and then you can learn some things. I would defiantly suggest learning tools/weapons first and then a shelter.
After I wasted an hour trying to figure out how to get flint, allow me to save you the trouble....you gotta hit piles of stone with a pick axe....I know right? How would you not think to do that...
Also in order to interact with stuff you need to hit the "Y" button, so as I was sprinting around I kept hitting Y like all of the time. You end up with a nice stack of fiber and berries, which will save you in a pinch.
In order to make fire you need to have some fuel (wood/thatch) and a flint and then to cook meat place the raw meat into the fire (through the inventory screen) and leave it there for a little while....eventually it will turn into cooked meat.

And that was about all the further I got. In my humble opinion I would consider giving this game a try legitimatly if you enjoy a survival type game.

After I figured out that little gem I had a few minutes to try and kill a dinosaur, which was not easy at all.

Destiny the game - which class is truly the "master race"?

2016-01-10T14:21:00.002-08:00

Who is it going to be?

titan, hunter, warlock

Titan ?

Warlock?

Hunter??

Personally I have an extreme amount of hate for hunters....rolling around, blinking, having a cape and all sorts of silly hunter abilities. Jumping is an obvious point and case for the hate....unfortunately a lot of my friends main hunters and I have to see how capable they are at certain encounters - looking at your Crota.

Before the great expansion of the taken king Titans were also very situation. Striker is all but worthless except aggressive PVP players or nightfalls with ARC burn. Defenders simply cannot be a master race due to their super being completely supportive. Weapons of light and blessings of light are a god send for end level encounters.

Post TTK sunbreakers were known as the destroyer of all things. In my opinion titans rank second place for master race.

stormcaller warlock

In my opinion Warlocks are the master race. Voidwalker, again only for aggressive PVP players and void burn nightfalls. Sunsingers are the end all and be all for any warlock. The melee ability with the range is considerably stronger than other classes. Double solar grenades also quite strong. AND NOW WE HAVE UNLIMITED POWERRR!!!!

Warlock #1

Titan (very close #2)

cabal

dregs

psions

shanks

Hunters

The ravaged learn about fire jutsu. The art of fire blowing...dragons breath

2016-01-03T20:08:00.000-08:00

I have gone in search of abilities to include in my game and story. The ancient art of fire jutsu. Dragon Breathing

When dealing with such volatile products you should always have some other people around in case you catch fire. It would be best to have someone standing by with a bucket of water. You should also keep a damp rag in your pocket in case you drip some of the paraffin. On that note always use 99.9% pure paraffin, other oils/fuels are generally carcinogenic in nature and could be harmful if ingested.

My comrades Marcus and Willy were present to watch.
More fire to come...

Fire Jutsu is exciting but dangerous.

Oryx Challenge Is Here - Kings Fall

2015-12-15T07:02:00.001-08:00

Reddit users have verified the challenge, and this one is a real doozy. In order to complete the challenge mode you need to detonate 16 orbs all during one damage phase. This means going through 4 rotations and allowing the big orbs to stack up in each corner.

Things to consider:

Kill the ogers as fast as possible or the orbs will be too far apart to detonate all at once.

The "no knight" strategy cannot be used

Same runner can be used for every rotation

People can die

If a knight gets away and eats some bombs you can still recover-just survive another rotation of ogres to get more bombs

Good luck Gaurdians

Loot has been confirmed to be he raid helmet and a primary at 320 light. You will also get a ship and a pretty cool emblem.

Extensive data gathered to compare sniper DPS

2015-12-13T11:14:00.001-08:00

Black Spindle

A Reddit user has compiled a massive wall of text to compare and contrast the top snipers in destiny the game. Depending on how you measure DPS you can get different results. It all comes down to sustained, constant bullets hitting the target.

Raid boss sniper comparison

Now much like the black hammer in Year 1 the black spindle in year 2 will always over DPS anything as long as you can stay on target.
The whole discussion revolves around that big troll Golgoroth and for obvious reasons the black spindle wins on DPS as long as you can stay on target.
There are a few things to help stay on target.

Golgoroth Destiny Raid Boss

1. During your damage phase (some teams prefer to do this on 1, other prefer on 6) the gaze holder should be a hunter with shade step. This will ensure the crit spot for Golgoroth will be visible to all players.
2. The gaze holder MUST COUNT DOWN. Seriously....there is a count down on the bottom of the screen and all you gotta do is start at 10 seconds left and count down to 0.
3. Gotta have a titan with blessings of light and the titan must be prepared to drop his shield just after the damage orb is broken - or if the titan drops his shield way back in the cave it will be okay also (The damage orb will kill the titan shield)
4. One of the DPS team must focus on the damage orb to make sure it gets broken while the other damage teams GET IN THE PIT AND TRY TO LOVE SOMEONE...seriously you need to talk about this before the fight.
-Titan needs to get in the pit a little before the damage orb drops
-One member of DPS team must be late to the party to make sure the damage orb drops right before the gaze gets shifted.
-The DPS team and the titan can hide in the bubble until the damage orb drops and the gaze is shifted
5. DPS team must keep an eye on the bottom of their screen to see who gets tainted by unstable light and call out your name (in the 3rd person) and leave the damage aura early to get away from everyone.
-A trick I like to use when in the DPS pit is to form to line in the damage pit where the players closest to Golgoroth kneel so the people in the back row don't have to move either.....STOP MOVING IN FRONT OF YOUR TEAMMATES!!!!!
6. STAY ALIVE - no stupid mistakes for ammo runs. DO NOT STAND IN THE OPEN and get blasted by the ogre
