Pumanji, My Little Man

I’ve decided to take Pumanji to Fashion Week. Little girls have dolls, I have a handsome android in a dazzling and mysterious noir finish. He loves fashion too, “hanging out” with my piles of silver chains and other tasteful accessories all the time. He’s my little fasyon arm candy enigma!

I don’t really recall where I got this handsome little thing and what smacked me in my head that led to the decision of his name. I have spent years of collecting accessories from so many places (on or under the radar), I do get lucky to find these pride and joys and I have the most fun when wearing some all together.

As the biggest sucker for accessorizing, piling my ‘babies’ to everything with anything is so normal. Neck, check. Shoes, check. Bags, check. Wall, check. Tables, check. I think I need therapy?

Something I have come to conclude and decide to be part of my personal mantra, ‘Pick up your pearls and wear them over your spiked chains. Don’t be boring, its accessorizing, stupid. There are no rules.’

My wardrobe is a tid bit away from hurling blood-like intense hue of long sheer skirts, manly leather jackets, itty-bitty majorette skorts and soft felt suede coats. I have ‘subconsciously’ collected the what could be closet of Mrs. Minnie Mouse, Fabulous version of Elmo or Queen Amidala. This color has been the cause of my biased choices on extremely gorgeous but unnecessary purchases. It happens to all of us. Its a weakness and we are doomed for life. I have a damned love affair, a love affair with the color red.

'Energy' Shoot with Miyanda of Ford

I enjoyed this shoot so much! This 15 year old lady has legs longer than my whole body. Miyanda is such a trooper wearing those super high go-go boots almost through out the day. I loved meeting her dad and cousin too!

Styled Miyanda in bright colors and exciting textures with the help of Wickett Ophelia’s intense collection pieces. Two toned metallic pants, Sheer skirt, Black turtleneck dress and Ultra high platform boots (handmade by the designer) are from Wickett Ophelia. The Inspiration is a vintage photograph of a man in striped suit

I wanted a suit look for work. I bought the black loafers with tassels at Tommy Hilfiger and they were so perfect with the striped pants I buried at the back of my closet. Suit-ed up!

At Work

Being with Kirkwoods, Kenzos etc. for work is just crazy amazing! No matter how tiring the day was, I just look at them and get pumped up.

One thing that can definitely make me feel better when I feel terrible about something is skimming through images of Givenchy’s gothic-chic-genius archive, Vogue Paris’ risqué-sophisticated editorials or actually anything that Derek Zoolander might be interested in too. The only celebrities I’ll go gaga for when I see in real life are Anna Dello Russo, Karl Lagerfeld and Kobe Bryant. Make a check mark on the last one. I pretty much teared-up when I saw Kobe.

September Issue ‘12

I got home and found Lady Gaga on my bed. I was so excited about this year’s September Issue of Vogue and here it is at my fingertips. I’m so thankful about this sweet gift I got today!

Last ‘fat’ books I held with this kind of mass were my business management and accounting textbooks. Vogue should have its own course.

The cover is interesting. Lady Gaga’s hair looks like a white mimosa, the Marc Jacobs fishtail dress looks unreal and the Special Anniversary Issue 120 Years of Style bold words are making me giddy. I’m still not sure how I feel about Lady Gaga’s look though. First, I’ll have to soak on this issue for a while like how I did with my other textbooks.

The Paillette Dress

This nude salmon dress is a stunner. BCBG Max Azria sent it to me a couple of months ago as a token for this thing I joined more couple of months ago. It was sent to my Texas home and my mom sent it to me in a big box, along with the rest of my stuff. It was great seeing all my old clothes again, but Ms. Paillette just outshone everything else.

The little discs attached to the dress are so hypnotizing to look at. They made it look like a chic disco ball. Some discs do peel off though but not a big deal, it really is a stunner dress you have to take care of and I swear I will!
