Chris Brown, a multi-talented force in R&B, has revealed the details for his summer trek, The 11:11 Tour. Presented by Live Nation, the extensive 26-city tour will showcase two of the most promising up and coming female artists in R&B as special guests: Ayra Starr and Muni Long, joining in select cities. Kicking off the season on June 5 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Brown will make stops across North America in Brooklyn, Toronto, Atlanta, and more before wrapping up in Los Angeles at Crypto.comArena on August 6.

Independent Australian-Swiss singer-songwriter and producer Dave Curl has unveiled his sophomore LP, Lockdown - Seven Nations, which will be available on all major streaming services worldwide on February 23, 2024. The album follows the release of his scathing single, ‘Lockdown’, on January 19, 2024. Boasting over 1.5 million streams on Spotify, airplay on numerous indie radio stations in Germany and abroad, performances in the respected Kulturkoller Club and around 20 other locations as well as appearances at festivals like The Valley Summer Festival (Switzerland),  Dave Curl has shown no signs of slowing down since his solo debut in 2019. In the years since, the prolific performer has released nearly two dozen singles, two EPs, and the 2021 full-length album, Introducing. His newest project promises listeners an infectious and thought-provoking concoction of rock and roll.

Born and raised in Switzerland with English-Australian roots and currently based in Winterthur, Switzerland, Dave Curl began his musical journey as a teen, learning guitar under the guidance of a good teacher who encouraged him to write and play his own songs. However, it took another decade or two until he decided to pursue his urge for making his own music in a professional way. 

A child of the 80s and 90s, he draws influence from giants of the era such as Sting, Eurythmics, Chris Rea, Brian Adams, AC DC, Dido and Tracy Chapman, as well as luminary songwriters of today, such as Ed Sheeran, John Mayor, Jack Savoretti, Halsey and Jack Johnson. Having previously been compared to the likes of Milow and  Bono, Dave Curl’s sound is a soulful mix of folk, pop, and rock, his music is for fans of irreverent, anti-establishment music from the likes of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and Lou Reed.

The single ‘Lockdown’ is a potent look at a world in chaos through the dissenting lens of rock and roll. 

An electric guitar opens the track on an urgent minor-key chord change. Electronic and organic percussive elements enter the mix with syncopated grooves. Dave Curl waxes lyrical about the state of the world caught in the throes of a global pandemic, from his perspective in quarantine. The song’s music video features contrasting images of the singer set in tranquil locations, juxtaposed against scenes of people suffering around the world in sickness and isolation.

Unlike a traditional album, Lockdown - Seven Nations puts this single song and theme in the hands of artists from Switzerland, Spain, Germany, France, India, Italy, and the UK offfering eight different versions of the song. Even when the language is foreign, the shared language of music enables the emotion to come through loud and clear. This LP is a unique body of work pooling profound insight from every corner of the globe in one awesome anthology.

Dave Curl revealed: “During the Covid-19 time I had all these emotions that just needed to be expressed in a creative way. At the time I was just overwhelmed about all the "shitshows" going on, but with some distance and time I found the hook (chorus) for the song and could finally use all those pages I had filled with words of anger, fear, hope and disbelief.”

Canadian producer, director, and composer Errance is set to unveil his debut single, ‘Guidance’, on the 1st of March 2024 via Société Holographique de Montréal. Erranceis the solo musical project of Gabriel Gagnon, who is beginning to carve out a place for his own musical expression in the wake of a process of deep introspection, self-growth and a profound connection to nature. ‘Guidance’ is the inaugural track of his upcoming self-produced album, Errance, set for release later this year.

Before embarking on his solo project, Gabriel has boasted a prolific career as a producer and composer across various industries. From producing internationally-acclaimed records for several artists such as Daniela Andrade, MayFly and Geoffroy (just to name a few), to composing soundtracks for a number of series and short movies, to working on international campaigns advertising for brands like Yves Saint-Laurent, Crown Royal and Louis Vuitton, this sonic savant is no novice to the world of music production in all of its forms. He also shares a close musical relationship and music house with Hologramme, who incidentally co-produced ‘Guidance’. 

Hailing from Montréal and currently based in Orford, Canada, Gabriel began exploring sounds and beats on his father's Yamaha PSR-32 synthesizer at a young age. At 22, Gabriel stepped into the world of audio experimentation, securing a role as a studio assistant. Collaborating with various artists, he honed his skills in the service of others. Despite his deep love for music production, arranging compositions, and crafting sonic landscapes - however, it wasn't until later in life, when a period of enforced pause granted him the opportunity to experiment, that he began to make space for his own musical expression. As Errance, he delivers a sound inspired by the likes of Floating Points, Mount Kimbie, Max Cooper and Jon Hopkins.

For fans of the bouncy beats and resonant sounds of Parra For Cuva and Fejká, ‘Guidance’ is an organic house track that transports the listener to a faraway part of the natural world. Reverberant echoes, shuffling percussion, lush synths and an arrangement completely devoid of monotony create a sonic experience that hints at a verdant natural scene and the inspiration and introspection that it inspires. ‘Guidance’ is soothing, yet energizing; just as the natural world is.

Rico Nasty tells us…. "Me and Boys Noize started working back in 2018... We finally met in real life after being mutuals for like a year. We did one session, it was fire! And then a few months later ended up on the Friendship Cruise together (for the first time). After the cruise, we made "Money (feat. Flomilli)" and "1+1" - a song you'll hear very soon on this project. Fast forward again, maybe 3-4 years, and we did a couple more sessions. We kept gravitating towards techno dance music. He started putting me on to German dance music, and we traded a bunch of songs back and forth. Little by little over a few days, we ended up making three more songs that we really loved and decided we wanted to share with the world. Every session was so much fun and I'm sure that energy is felt across all of these tracks. One of my favorite songs on the project is... all of them. That's why she is so short!! GRAMMY® Award-nominated songwriter/producer/performer Maggie Rogers will kick off Part 1 of The Don’t Forget Me Tour on May 23 at Gallagher Square at Petco Park in San Diego, CA. Produced by Live Nation, the North American headline run will include stops at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, TX, The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, TX and more in addition to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, and Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. The Japanese House, the critically acclaimed project of Amber Bain, will support from May 24 – June 22. Born in Miami, FL, singer-songwriter Naïka identifies as a TCK, growing up living around the globe. The influences of French, Caribbean, African and South Pacific cultures shaped her both musically and individually. Her music reflects her love for western pop and R’n’B, mixed with the world music elements that reflect her roots. As a result, the singer writes lyrics in her various mother tongues, which include English, French and Haitian creole.

Jean-Michel Jarre has released today, February 23 Versailles 400, a spectacular mixed-reality concert-film and live digital album. Versailles 400 is much more than just a concert. Here Jarre explores new territories, including visual expression and where AI becomes an artistic partner. The result is a multisensory experience that transports the audience into a completely new universe.

The setlist was developed based on the concert-event presented by Jean-Michel Jarre at one of France's most culturally renowned historic sites, the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles on December 25, 2023. At the event, Jarre transitioned through his avatar from the real stage to an imaginary virtual gallery, specially reconstructed for the occasion, featuring the sets and creatures crafted by the musician using artificial intelligence.

The result is captured in a live digital album, featuring an electro version of JB Lully's (1632-1687) Marche pour la cérémonie des Turcs, the new single “Epica Oxygene,” and fresh renditions of existing tracks.

The “director's cut” version of the film, produced with special attention to highlight the juxtaposition of the universes, the dual scenography and the graphic creations used in both worlds, available simultaneously on 6play in France and on YouTube worldwide. A 4k version for large screens is currently in production.

A hybrid and immersive show, where the audience is carried from one world to another, while remaining connected to reality, is a concrete example of how artificial intelligence can enrich the artistic experience.

Ever-evolving singer and songwriter Quiet Storm (musical moniker of A-list celebrity stylist Dean Aslett) is set to unveil his latest single, ‘This Place’, on February 23, 2024. Hailing from Croydon and now based between London and Mykonos, Quiet Storm’s first four singles, ‘Lady Show Me’, ‘I Could Almost Cry’, ‘You Make Me Shudder’ and ‘Your World’ enjoyed consecutive Music Week UK Top 10 Chart positions.  In addition to his musical endeavors, Dean boasts a riveting and lengthy career in the fashion industry, working for giants like Versace and styling or being a personal shopper for A-listers such as Princess Diana, Prince William, Elton John, Joan Collins, Liz Hurley and members of Duran Duran - to name but a few! He has now left the fashion business to pursue music full-time.

Dean developed a love for performance and electronic music at a young age, beginning to play piano and organ at age eleven. Immersing himself in music from the late 70s onwards, he became enamored with electronic music when his twin brother bought an LP album, Out of This World by the BBC Radiophonic Workshop in 1979. Composers like Ennio Morricone (Chai Mai, The Mission, Cinema Paradiso), Jerry Goldsmith (Alien, The Omen), producers like Brian Eno (David Bowie, Talking Heads) and Bob Clearmountain (Bryan Ferry, David Bowie & Simple Minds) started to appeal to Dean as his formative years progressed. Clubbing in London’s watering holes in the 80s further cemented this passion of his. He also cites New Wave giants of his teenage years such as David Bowie, Roxy Music, Blondie, David Sylvian, Duran Duran, Visage, Soft Cell, Ultravox, The Cure and The Cult as major influences. 

Buying his first synthesizer (a KORG POLY800) in 1984, Dean formed a five-piece rock outfit Clockwork Orange in 1985, which disbanded the following year. However, Dean continued to write songs under the name Quiet Storm, a name adopted from a club in Mayfair, London.

‘This Place’ is a charged, cinematic masterpiece of synth pop music produced by the up-and-coming Chase Emery Davis. Moody, intricate and lush synthscapes, a driving four-on-the-floor beat and Quiet Storm’s plaintive vocals interlaced with other subtle vocal samples come together to create a track that is at once both melancholic and euphoric. ‘This Place’ sonically captures the elusive essence of our dreamt experiences with feeling and movement.

Quiet Storm divulged: “I seem to live my life through many of the songs I have written but the new Quiet Storm single, ‘This Place’, goes beyond that and is set in a twilight world delving into the realm of my dreams and fantasies of a film noir landscape.”
