coconuts in this part of the universe, I had to do this video to show you more about this special nut!

We feel that just the coconut alone was a strong reason for us to live in Thailand 209/2010 (because you get the delicious young thai coconut) and right after that since 1,5 years now in Costa Rica.

You can say that we followed the coconut around the world…
lol

As we believe the coconut to be one of the most important superfoods on earth, and on the other hand having such an abundance of it, made us realize: This is paradise.

Coconut are growing in such never ending abundance down here, that you can feast every single day drink as much as you want!
We have several coconut trees next to our house, and in this video I want to show you how you can harvest a coconut, decide if it is a good one and much more info about the tropical golden fruit!

<br educating our children we have made contact with various alternative edication circles around the world.
One is the unschoolers emporium a community of unschooling families.

As we are doing unschooling and not homeschooling ourself we want to support organisations like these, as there is still so much misinformation out there about what is even possible to do with your children.

As unschooling is such a different concept than all we have learnt it can be quite challenging for a lot of people.

It is even challenging for ourself as we have went through a "normal"education ourself and need to work on our beliefs every day, so we can allow our children to explore their life without any pressure or judgement from our side!

Anyway, we just wanted to introduce you to the unschoolers emporium and send lots of love and support in this direction.

Enjoy SMOOTHIE RECIPES FOR KIDS

Good morning fellow RAWFOOD PARENTS,
It is 8 o'clock in the morning and all our children are awake now waiting for their morning smoothie!

We love to start the day with a green smoothie, to make sure all the children have all the minerals and vitamins they need.
Dark gren leaf veggies are the most powerful source of minerals apart from some superfoods.
They are for sure the most natural one

Our smoothie is with spinach (baby leaf), ripe bananas and water..and that is about it!
Here is the exact recipe:

300 gr spinach or kale
4-5 fully ripe bananas (the ones wih black dots)
1,5 liter fresh spring water
1 teaspoon of honey

Thats it! Of course you can play around and add some superfood like maca, marine phytoplankton or goji berries, but you do not have to.

Everyother day we use a mixture of stinging nettles or chickweed with spinach- but they like spinach the most, because the smoothie is really sweet with it. It is our idea to have a really sweet and tasty smoothie, that the children just love to drink it, especially as it is holiday time and we want to create something very delicious AND healthy for them.
Wild edibles are so much more nutrient rich, that is why we add them as often as possible. They have about 30-50 times more nutrients than the domesticated food, as they are growing wild and strong since ever ouside in nature.
Did you know that stinging nettles have:

30times more Vitamin C
20 times Provitamin A
40(!!!!) times more Calcium
25 times more magnesium and
50 times more iron than an ordinary organic lettuce.

Many parents asked us what we eat on a daily basis, that is why I decided that I am gonna start posting exactly what we eat everyday, to give you an idea. You can follow our food diary at http://www.TheRawfoodfamily.com/blog.php

Love, sunshine and magical days
Katie and Ka Sundance

Vaccination: Necessary or Dangerous?

Vaccination: Necessary or Dangerous?

First of all, I want to say that we are no doctors and have no a background in western medicine or something like that. This article is meant to communicate our beliefs and the outcome of our research only. We do not intend to tell you what you have to do or not.

You are responsible yourself to make good choices.

What we can offer you is our personal view, our belief. Here is what we do: We do not vaccinate our children for several reasons.

As Benny is our oldest (he is 9 years) and our "raw food journey" just started 6 years ago, we where so different when Benny was a baby. You have to know that Katie and I were so young when we became parents. We met when Katie was just 18 years of age, and we had our first child when Katie was 22.

We felt dependent on doctors (with a weird and weak feeling in the stomach already) at that point in time as we didn't know any better. So Benny got some shots when he was a young baby, and he heavily reacted to them, as I know I did as well when I got the shots.

But since we are on raw food (almost 6 years ago) none in our family has had any vaccinations.

1.

There is no real proof that vaccinations work anyway. I have heard and read about many cases, where kids got the shots and suffered from the diseases they have been made "immune" against later on. So they not only got the shots which have been proven to do terrible damage to the immune system, but they had no protection at all.
2.

The side-effects are so strong that sometimes they can be worse than the disease itself. Not only do some of the vaccinations work in a way that they infect you with the real virus, so the little bodies get totally stressed to fight something that was not there before, but there have been many, many cases in which other diseases have appeared as side-effect of the vaccination, some of them with death as final result.
3.

The side-effect of the vaccination itself. Some effects can be so strong that people have reported to get in shock and suffer long-term damage as direct results of the vaccination. Damage that is effecting them up until today and for the rest of their life's.
4.

The unclear structure of pharmaceutical industry, government and the "gods in white" medical guild who gets paid by the pharmaceutical lobby to prescribe and give the drugs. As long as this structure is not clear and transparent, and billions of dollars can be made with fear and disinformation, you have to doubt everything you have been told from doctors and government. They are the puppets of the pharmaceutical industry.

In addition to these 4 reasons I want to mention that we have been traveling the tropics for a long time, together with our little children. This makes things even worse for people with doubt and fear.

One more reason to do all these vaccination is for protection.
It is so funny and fits perfectly in our modern way of thinking being separated from our intuition and mother earth, that we want to believe that some god in white gives us the magic pill, that will heal us from diseases and protect us from all further dangers. We are weak victims without power and knowledge if we believe in this picture the government and pharmaceutical lobby wants you to believe in!

As we travel countries with malaria, dengue, millions of bugs insects and other parasites a lot of people do ask us if we take for example malaria prophylaxes to protect ourselves, and what our experiences are regarding doing this with small children and infants.

Our answer is: None in our family has ever taken any chemicals, drugs, pills or prophylaxes to prevent diseases. None in our family has been sick at all since we went raw.

You see that is the point. We so desperately want to help you to take the power back to yourself. Back where it belongs.
You do not need the doctors and pills. They do not help you and you do not need any help, as you have everything you need to restore and maintain perfect health.
(Do not get me wrong. Doctors are great if you have an accident and break your bone. We need their knowledge and wisdom in these extreme situations. But only then. In all other circumstances can we and should we take care of ourselves in a responsible way!)

If you eat a healthy diet, do exercise, are in contact with Mother Nature every day and look for your mental and emotional well-being, there is nothing you have to be afraid of- and in our belief and experience there is no need for vaccinations then, as your body can take care perfectly care of itself.

That is really all you need!

This will help you to get in deep contact with your source and restore not only health but also trust, which is what is missing so much in our world.

We do not fear any anything as we take care of ourselves to the best of our abilities.
We allow ourselves to be and create without limitations or fear. We also take responsibility for our life and our health.
This is the key success to health and why you do not need vaccinations, doctors or drugs.

This is our belief.
--------------------------

WANT TO USE THIS ARTICLE IN YOUR EZINE OR WEB SITE?
Feel free to use it, as long as you include this complete blurb with it:
Raising their raw food family, Katie and Ka want to share all the simple secrets and insights to help your family becoming more healthy. And Sprouting, Too! :D
Growing greens inside a home is actually quite easy. Any 6 inch tall container will do. Even shorter! I like to stick with the 6 inch height if possible. If you water carefully, you don't even need holes or pebbles at the bottom!

Simplicity is the order of the day. : )

Why Listen to Me?
That's a good question. Who am I? Some super expert plant and soil scientist? No, not at all. I'm just a little maniac who loves to play with soil and growing plants and seeds because it's so inherent in my native construction. You see, when little plants sprout and grow, my heart just soars with love and affection. And, the scientific part of me attempts newer and better methods of growing for the sheer joy of refining, defining and purifying these methods until they're SO SIMPLE a baby can do it!

That means the world can grow and eat just the best stuff on Earth with a modicum of loving effort and care.

I also love the idea of low water usage gardening. Pure water is becoming a very precious commodity indeed. Finally, there's the wonder of the Circle of Life...

The Circle of Life
With a few, dear, sweet and lovely little red or earthworms, lovely homemade compost, a little fresh water, light and love, your leftovers and juice pressings can be turned into lovely food for the worms who turn it into nutritious soil for plants who turn into food for lovely you with the sweetest and loveliest poops in the world! Round and round it goes. As God and Nature intended.

I have discovered that growing food indoors in containers is amazingly doable whether you live in a room, apartment, motor home, anywhere! Access to a little sunlight with some nice little full spectrum lights or florescents can provide all the lighting necessary.

The "Pot"
You can use almost anything for your pots and grow containers. Rubbermaid containers, pots and pans, tupperware, glassware, any container that won't leach out any lead or heavy metals. Why, you can grow in plastic food tubs and soda cups. (Throw out the processed foods and soda of course. : ) And of course if you're aesthetically and financially inclined, a window sill box either bought or homemade are lovely things indeed.

Do you have a patio, deck or outdoor space? Great! Beautiful lush greenery and flowers lift the spirits and grace your world with warmth, serenity, peace and beauty. Make a little fountain with an aquarium pump... heaven above! But! I digress! Forgive? :D

I like individual containers that can be moved. Eventually, one might get a rolley cart that can travel from window to window, out to patio, wherever, to avail all the outdoor light possible. But, that's a luxury, isn't it?

When i make a million zillion dollars, perhaps i will get one! Or two! Just to experiment some more. : )

Soil
A nice, basic potting soil is fine. Eventually, you may want to compost (another amazingly easy and simple thing to do requiring no special materials other than a bucket and a little soil from the backyard. Those juice pressings can turn into magnificent, beautiful soil quick as pie! : ) (Ask me for instructions on that)

General use, easy draining light soil designed for pots works best. No special soils needed! One can procure a nice, organic full spectrum all purpose fertilizer that has the vital basic nutrients and trace minerals. A favorite of mine and many gardeners is kelp concentrate . A little goes a long way - a few drop around the edges of the pot ever so often with the usual watering and that's it! And Micorrhizaes are very nice to add. They'll help your little greens have resistance and strength like sturdy little Popeyes. : )

Greens like something like a 20 10 10 fertilizer mix. The first number is nitrogen. More nitrogen for greens. :D

I have used an eigth teaspoon of organic molasses for minerals in the starter water if I don't have kelp concentrate. I have even been known to add a vitamin, trace mineral and general mineral tablet to soil makings just because. Not too much or sweet aphids will love you and the greens to pieces. :D

Necessity is the mother of invention, and it's amazing what versatility of method green growing can endure and thrive with.

Planting
So... you will fill your moistened soil into your pot up to an inch or so from the top of the container. I mix the soil first like a cake batter in a mixing bowl so every bit has a nice moist texture. Then, I add the soil half way if I'm using pre-started baby plants, adding soil around the little baby plant and gently tamping down with my finger or a spoon.

Someday when you have loads of time and/or money you can make your own soil. Ask me about that...

Tools
The thick, plastic picnic tableware from Ikea is perfect for the garden! Only $2.99 and I donate all the pieces i don't use. They last a lifetime. BUT... any flatware tableware wil do! A little fork and spoon are perfect. i like the little seafood forks if i have.

If I'm starting from pre-sprouted seed, I simple stick a finger into the soil and plant the little darling kerplunk. Then i cover him snugly, pressing the soil gently so he has a snuggy place to plant his little rooty feet.

Watering
Keep the soil lightly moistened at all times. To save water, you can lightly cover the exposed "ground" with plastic or mulch if you wish. I have used decorative rocks, pebbles and little Star Wars and Transformers figurines... :O

A little water goes a long way. On rare occasion, I use my little fork to gently prod the soil to keep it a tiny bit fluff on the surface. If there are little squiggly friends (worms), i make sure to take extra special care. They're so precious. :D

Self Watering Containers You Can Make Yourself
Yes they can be quite lovely and wonderful. But not necessary when one is on a budget. When one can easily afford, they make a nice addition to an indoor garden. But i've found the fancier and more complicated, the more THINKING. No no... simple and easy for me please. :

* IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT WORMS *
Did you know worms are a feeling, loving bunch of characters? Yes, indeed! They take utter delight in making love and having children. Truly God endowed them with the ability to feel pleasure, as he imparted to ALL living creatures. And they're sweet and odorless predigestive poopies turn soil into the most delectable nutritional yummies for plants. What a gift they are!

If at ALL possible, when discarding any soil, take the time to set your worms free where there will be moisture. A shady spot where they can tunnel under a tree or building so as to live long and prosper. : )

Keep your soil and compost moist at all times. These precious little girls and guys would appreciate it so much as drying out isn't fun to do... :D

Lighting
Place your babies on the window sill or beneath your grow lightbulbs. You can use florescent bulbs as well. I enjoy the grow lightbulbs because they add a nice warmth during winter weather, but compact florescents are fine and cheap to run. 1 or 2 60 watters do nicely for small green sill gardens, especially when combined with the lovely light of day through windows or glass doors. 2 or 3 compact florescents work well for several pots close together.

One can place several tiers of plants on little shelves in front of a window. Lovely!

You can turn off your lights at night. Does it get super cold? You can put a piece of plastic or a blanket over your babies using some tall pots or water bottles for the necessary elevation. In the morning when you uncover them, they chirp with delight!

Well, maybe YOU chirp with loving delight. : ) AND - Send so much LOVE in their direction... YES! Talking to them does work although your relatives might send white coats to take you away...

:D

Lighting and Tin Foil Hats and Mats
Using Tin foil for reflection can maximize lighting benefits. Wash your tinfoil and reuse to be environmentally friendly.

Sprouting Seeds
The easiest and best way to sprout seeds is to soak them 24 hours in a little spring water. After soaking, you can snuggle them in a moist paper towel or moist brown paper from a paper bag in a nice warm and dark little place. They should start to sprout within 48 hours. Once you see their little white tails, you can pop your babies into the soil and cover them with 1/3 to 1/5 inch of soil.

No need to pack the soil too hard. Just a light tapdown will do. Nighty night, sweet seedling!

Space your seedlings 3 to a 6 inch round pot for greens. Nice, compact, condensed to maximize light and space usage. You will harvest when they are preteens which is ideal for taste and convenience. They don't mind! Their energy is infinitely lovable for edible. :D

Eventually, if you're growing heirloom, (a wonderful and best thing to do!) you can let some babies go to seed. It's so fun to do this! I collect the seeds and sprout them... amazing beyond belief. They are your grandchildren...

I used to send out heirloom seeds for free. Perhaps someday i'll be able to do that again. : ) Regular seeds are just fine to start with.

What Type of Seeds?
Any lettuces will do. AND - don't forget about growing wheat, kamut, barley, oat and rye grass! Juice your grass and life is wonderful! Later, you can grow mini tomatoes, peppers, almost anything.

I propose a new law... Every living abode MUST have GREAT BIG WINDOWS. Period. Then we can grow anything and everything easily.

Be Aware of These Seeds - No Nos
Buckwheat sprouts are to be avoided as they contain substances which can cause light sensitivity and other problems in larger quantities.

Legume sprouts - i avoid these because my body simply doesn't like them. But, many people love them and have no problem. Their sprout soaking water can contain anti-nutrient substances to be avoided. It's best to throw away the water if you do sprout legumes and lentils. My plants don't like legumous sprout water. That tells me a lot! : )

But truly - you have to do fairly large amounts to have repurcussions. My body talks to me and lets me know its no-nos.

Harvesting
While young, harvest the leaves from the outside leaving the inner leaves to continue growing. Space the seeding and planting of your greens two weeks apart so you can have a constant supply.

You can grow herbs such as thyme, basil, oregano, rosemary and cilantro for yummy flavor. i have a mini Rosemary tree. He's like a little Bonsai... adorable.

Amount of Greens You'll Get
Of course the more containers, the more greens. One can use greens as a supplement to their diet. If they want substantial harvests, they will have to use more containers! Instead of beautiful houseplants, grow beautiful veggie plants!

Start small. As you gain confidence and experience, the sky's the limit! Beautiful greens everywhere - by every window. You'll discover who loves what, and where. Experiment! Have fun! And when things don't seem to go right, keep going! There's always that pesky little dusk before the dawn... :D

PS: i LOVE dusk...

Little Buggy Pests
Perhaps you'll find a few uninvited guests. Or, perhaps a bit of mildew. No matter! Wipe away the little guys with your fingers, (send them lovingly to Buggy heaven - sorry all life lovers!). For anything resembling mildew, Restart your pot with new soil. You can bake your soil to purify. Make sure you remove all little earthworms if you have them. Mildew or mold can mean you're babies are being overwatered.

Put a lovely chair by your indoor garden and make lovely dual use of your grow lights. If your window is fairly bright, you may not even need ANY grow lights.

What did i miss? A million things? Just message me and i'll try to answer best i can.
SouthernCaliforniaGirl1@gmail.com

LOVE to YOU!!!

Happy Growing and Glowing!
By Cdin Sky

More articles like this one on
http://www.theRawfoodfamily.com/blog.php

The important skill to trust your kid with what he/she wants to eat

We are living a raw food lifestyle over 5 years now together as a family.
So if you trust many of the rawfoodists out there, who say and preach that after eating raw food for such a long time, your system will almost collapse if you put just any little, tiny amount of processed cooked food in it, the we have something to share.

We already wrote this a couple of weeks ago, and we would like to share how it developed. Benny(our oldest) told us in December, that he wanted to try some cooked food again.
To be total honest with you: I was a little bit shocked about that. You know; We are The Rawfoodfamily.
There was no real reason or sign which was warning us. It came out of the blue.
But on the other hand I felt so happy and proud, that Benny was telling us about his wishes in all honesty and trust.
Of course I talked to Katie about this, and we both agreed, that we wanted to honor Bennys wish and reward his honesty with total trust.

We thought, that it would be best to allow him to follow his desire and find out for himself, what is good or not good.

To be totally honest with you again: I hoped deep inside, that he would taste it once, and feel so sick afterwards, that he would never touch it again.

But now comes the amazing part about this story:

After studying all the raw food experts, and reading books, I was so afraid of the consequences.
And not only that, but we are also THE Rawfoodfamily. I do not want my kids to suffer from bad food. And I am not interested in eating this way for myself.
It is written in most books, that especially kids who are so pure after years of eating that way, could suffer from a toxic shock.
At least they would get sick, and throw up.
But the thing was:
Nothing happened!

Isn't that amazing? He didn't eat much of it, maybe half a plate, but still: It is amazing.
He deeply enjoyed the food, and feeling the freedom and the trust we had in him. He was gently testing the food, very slowly and with all his awareness.

After this first time he repeated his wish several times. Maybe 1 time a week.

But after a little more then a month, he decided to cut down on this again, because he felt for himself, that he was feeling different.

I am so happy and grateful for my littel son! He went through this process all by himself. It feels so good! I am very proud of him.

The bottom line here is, that we need to trust our children with their diet. Of course not when they are infants, but there comes an age, when we need to give them the trust they deserve and need.

Everybody will profit from this trust. All is good.
You can click here and watch a TV-Show, where I talk about Bennys change and meet him personally!
http://www.rawfoodcoach.net/raw-secrets-tv/shock-after-years-on-a-100-raw-food-diet-eating-cooked-again-

WANT TO USE THIS ARTICLE IN YOUR EZINE OR WEB SITE?
Feel free to use it, as long as you include this complete blurb with it:

Raising their raw food family, Katie and Ka Sundance want to share all the simple secrets and insights to help your family becoming more healthy. After being some days beyond the birth date our son finally came out 3 hours ago. Our 3rd son Joa Sundance is with us now!

We were lucky to be able to make a homebirth. The head was down, Joa was in the right position, and the placenta was out of the way. This technical details together with the confidence of having given birth to 3 kids already (2 as a homebirth), helped us to make a clear decision.

We wanted to make a unattended home birth, and this is what we did.
Just Katie, me and the kids. Ronja was with us and attending the birth. Jaro and Benny were sitting in the sleeping room and carefully listening to what was happening.

Joa slipped out after only 4 hours of birth, and was taking his first breath right away. It was such a beautiful and empowering experience to deliver this crystal child by ourself with no "help" from outside.

Pure female nature power.
I admire my wife Katie so much for her strength and confidence in her natural power as a woman and goddess.

All is good. We are blessed and filled with joy and gratitude.

For more infos and posts like these, plese visit us at
http://www.TheRawfoodfamily.com/blog.php

Successful and energetic pregnancy with Yoga and raw food

Energetic Pregnancy

It is so amazing! As you all know I'm expecting to give birth within the next week or so... and I still feel so vibrant and alive, that I sometimes even forget that I'm actually pregnant!

Qkay, the belly is in the way sometimes, but it is still managebale. It is the smallest belly I had so far, and I'm very much interested in how big the baby is going to be.

My other children were all 8 pounds and Benny even 9 pounds!
With Ronja my 3 child I had an almost 100% raw pregnancy, the birth was easy and fast and Ronja was 8 pounds.I felt really alive with her as well, but this time it is even more!
Sometimes it seems like I'm becoming fitter every day...maybe that is an actual natural thing?

It would make sense to me. Just imagine living thousands of years ago...there was no time to have long births and being weak.
You probably had to give birth pretty fast and be able to walk soon after. Just think of all the dangers back than!
I felt good during my whole pregnancy, I never had morning sickness, which I think is just a way for the body to detox! But, if you are a raw woman,

it could be a sign for B12 deficiency.I ate a high raw diet with lots of green juice, fats (lilke avocados, coconuts and high quality cold pressed oils) and ripe fruits.

I took an B12 supplement for prevency. I had lots of coconutwater and every now and then some potatoes, tofu and vegetable rice. During phases I loved cacao- raw chocolate, which I think is because of the magnesium.I had lots of sunshine the last months, which I think is really important in terms of vitamin D.

I find it quite strange that today everything about child birth and pregnancy is about making women feel ill and weak.
Just take the pregnancy.when you do it the "standard" way you have to go to the doctor quite often, the give all kind of supplements "you have to take", otherwise you apparently risk having an not good developed child.

Then there is the birth, you go to hospital and they want you to lay down, to give the doctors a better view (and control!!), but makes it unnessassary hard for the woman. Just think about gravity!

The only position to give birth in which is even more worse than lying down is to deliver during making a handstand.
You should be upright to support your child with finding its way out!

Anyway, Im going to enjoy my last pregnant days, because I know everything is going to change after birth.
You can watch more photographs of me doing yoga right before birth on facebook at
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=223385&id=182394089399

What other people think of our new recipes E-book

The 70 Best Raw Food recipes of The Rawfoodfamily

written by Anna Rodgers of
http://blog.missecoglam.com

I wanted to tell you about this fabulous new raw ebook I have been reading and making delicious meals from!

The Raw Food Family are a family of 5 (with one on the way!) who I find very fascinating!
I can’t help but wish I was a part of their family because they are living the type of life I dream of.

They are living and breathing health in every way shape and form, immersing themselves in nature, and right now are living in stunning Costa Rica.
They are surrounded by beautiful trees and breathing in clean air, drinking pure water and eating organic fruits and veges.
To me, this is how life should be for all children. To be living in a non polluted world, and learning about the beauty of nature. If you watch some of the Raw Food Families videos, you will see how happy the children are and how amazingly healthy they look. If you think a raw food diet for children is not a good idea, take a look for yourself and see, and try and tell me that the Sundance kids don’t look incredibly healthy!

The recipe book contains 70 recipes for food that would satisfy any member in the family and the kids as well!

If you are passionate about raw food or want your children to eat more of it but not sure where to start, this ebook is exactly what you need. It will inspire you to make the recipes, not just read them and think oh sounds nice, but seems too hard…..I actually feel like that with a few of my raw food books, I look at the list of ingredients and think oooo that will cost too much to make for just one meal. But with the Raw Food Families book, I feel excited, not overwhelmed.

What I absolutely love about it is the simple recipes, with minimal and common ingredients. Lots of raw food meals are amazing yes, but can take many ingredients and many hours to make things, with lots of pre- planning involved. And that means more money is to be spent on making these recipes as well. It can be, very very overwhelming, but not so with this ebook! I am very impressed and it is a book I go to regularly for cheap easy ideas for meals.

Katie and Ka Sundance, aka mum and dad of the raw food family, have tested out these recipes on their kids and have been given the thumbs up! It can be quite hard to get children to eat raw food, it has to look amazing and exciting to them.

There are fun and easy recipes for:
- Smoothies
-Milks
-Green juices
-Breakfast
-Lunch
-Superfood recipes
-Easter/spring
-Christmas
-Birthday/ parties
-Back to nature recipes

-More than 70 easy to make fun raw food recipes with high nutritional value
-Creative recipes with great taste and appearance for picky eaters
-Special chapters for seasonal events (like Easter, Christmas and birthdays)
-Beautiful pictures of most of the recipes
-Additional information on the raw superfoods you need to add to your family’s diet
-Superfood recipes
-The best juice and smoothie recipes for children
-Print out option for easy at home reproduction
-FREE Bonus: More than 4 hours of online raw food recipe shows with our kids!

This the first recipe I tried is already a favorite of mine -Raw Broccoli Burgers! I also made a yummy mango salad with rose petals from my garden, (pictured above).

They were absolutely delicious and I made enough to have more the next day as well. I made a wrap and put the burgers inside like a felafel wrap. They were so yummy and easy to make. You would probably have these ingredients in your fridge anyway. And, they didn’t need to be dehydrated too much, in fact, I made the patties smaller than a normal burger would be and found that they only need a few hours in the dehydrator. This is a recipe that has become a favorite of mine and even pleased the husband!
The book is divided up into sections. Ka and Katie both talk about their experience with raw, how it began etc. It all started whe one of their children, Jano, was quite sick at the age of one with severe asthma. Ka began to question, is this normal and decided no it was not and that having Jaro on an inhaler many times the day was NOT what they wanted for their child. Ka read a book called, ‘When you want to be healthy, forget about cooking’ and found that this was something the whole family would try! It has completely turned their lives around for the best.

In the book, there is advice on what items you may need to start your raw kitchen with (don’t worry its minimal things)

There are so many other things that I want to make and I bet you will too!

These are some of the types of recipes: Coconut milkshake, Banana and Spinach Smoothie, Recipes for different nut and seed milks, Green Juices, breakfast things like mueslis, pancakes (these sound amazing – Carob-coconut with pear sauce!), Applesauce with cinnamon, sesame dream cream (yum and super easy to make). Lunch ideas – Avocado dream cream, Coconut curry, Ketchup, Mashed ‘potatoes’, Pea Soup, Macadamia-Pepper Cheese, Salad Kebabs, Kale Salad, Kale Chips. Plenty of Dip recipes such as Tahini Mayonaise, Vegie Tractors, Sunflower Dip, Beetroot and Spring Dip. Super food Recipes, Carob and Chocolate recipes. Easter Recipes – Fairy Spring Salad, Melon Bees and Easter Bunnies. Christmas Recipes – cookies, cakes, spiced fruit cake. And a whole chapter on foods for parties and birthdays! Igloo cake, Carob Muffins, Pink Cookies, etc etc. And what I loved is the chapter dedicated to making food from things in your own garden. For example, Nettles, Bishops Weed, chickweed. And, would you believe, much more! There are plenty of coloured pictures as well to get you keen to get started!

I definitely rate this as one of my all time favorite raw books because it is so easy to follow with the recipes not costing an arm and a leg.

What is also included are some links to videos that Ka has made with other health related topics such as: ”how they let go of europe and moved to Costa Rica”, How to travel to Asia with kids”, an interview with raw mum Dani about pregnancy and raw food and living a life with raw kids” and an interview with two Yoga teachers in Thailand about health, love and happiness”.

There are also plenty of other fabulous videos showing raw recipes as well!

I really love this book and would recommend it to anyone!!

It’s priced at US $18.99 and you can download it at http://www.therawfoodfamily.com/recipes

Raw food recipes: Raw muesli made by our living food kids

Jaro was creating a beautiful muesli al by himself and was so proud of it! They will imitate you, if you are doing good or bad. So do all the best to yourself, and your children will imitate that!
Concentrate on happy images and thoughts, fill yourself up with joy and once you are filled, you will overflow and sent it out to your loved ones!
A good way to do this, is to tap in your childs world. Share yourtime together, play funny games.
There is so much joy and happiness there, when we would only take the time and perceive it.

Children are truly wise masters in teaching happiness!
Watch them, learn from them. If we could just let them be the way they are and not disturb them in their progress, that would be the
best thing we could do, to let them become special, happy and healthy human beings!
Share living food and be a good example.

You can only be happy as a family, if you are all healthy and balanced.

Living food is the key for that. But it is the same again here. You have to show them how blissful you feel with your diet.
Dont talk to much about it. We tend to talk to much.
Sit down and enjoy a beautiful green smoothie. Do not encourage your kid to join you. Just sit and enjoy.

We promise:
Maybe not with your first, but surely after the second time you did that, your children will become curious and want taste it.

You can also watch a TV-Show of us on that topic!
http://www.therawfoodfamily.com/home/what-do-raw-kids-exactly-love-to-eat-interview-with-our-children

Share value time together.

Your children love you so much for what you are, they want to spent time with you. Do not watch TV together. Play a game, talk to each other, go outside, BE together not just physically but also mentally.

Try to make it a good time. Have fun, enjoy your time together!
If your kids go to school, do not take it to serious. There is so much stress on them in this place, so try to not make it worse.

If you talk to them, go close and meet at their level.

If you have young kids, than go on your knees to speak to them from the same level.
See and treat them as equal.
Newest research shows that even newborn babies have total develpoped senses. They fully understand what is going on with them!

Just explain if they ask you!

Let them make their own experiences. We adults talk far to much!

These were some ideas, what YOU can do to improve things, with your lovely children!
You can also watch an interview Jaro asked me to do with him. He wantede to share about how he feels about being a Rawfood child and being homeschooled.
http://www.therawfoodfamily.com/home/interview-with-raw-kids-on-raw-food-and-homeschooling

How to make your children love dark green leaf vegetables!

It is really all about a balanced diet. If you want to have super healthy, vibrant and happy children, you really need to go out there with them, and eat some greens. Greens are higher in minerals, high quality proteins (EFA) and vitamins than any other food.

Learn about our trick here

http://www.therawinspiration.com/tv/how-to-make-your-children-love-dark-green-leave-vegetables-83

It is not so important what your diet looks like, as long as you have greens and juices. I am not a big fan, because it is just not healthy to do it, but as I planned to have an unattended birth I wanted to make sure, that the placenta is out of it's way, and everything else was fine with my little baby.

And the other thing I wanted to make sure is, that it is just one baby. I felt so big already, a lot bigger than the last pregnancies, that I was thinking I might have twins. That would make it count 5 altogether!

But, now we now, the placenta is out of the way and will stay there and it is just one baby. Another babyboy!
The children quiet enjoy to know what sex the baby is, because now it is not just „the baby“, but we can call him by his name. Just yesterday evening the children sat around me, with their hands on my belly, saying „hello“ to the baby. Our Babyboy was kicking and playing around inside and I really felt, that he was really excited with all that attention he got.

Anyway, I found really good information on weather you should do an ultra sound scan during pregnancy or not:

Ultra sound is extremely damaging to the
health of any unborn child (fetus). The natural health community has
been warning about ultrasound for years, but mainstream medicine, which
consistently fails to recognize the harm it causes, insists ultrasound
...is perfectly safe and can't possibly harm the health of a fetus.

If ultrasound destroys sperm, why is it safe for a fetus?
http://www.naturalnews.com/028853_ultrasound_fetus.html

www.naturalnews.com

Our youngest "baby" daughter has birthday today!
4 already. Post your comment down below!

EGO FREE KIDS

A friend of mine has his own tv show on the internet . it’s called The Raw Inspiriation tv. you’d imagine that someone who does that has a big ego. but actually the contrary is true. intuitively i would say that he has dissolved a significant chunk of his ego... i don’t know his wife, but have met her a few times, and i’d say she has evolved to a similar level.

what is interesting is that they have three children, and are soon to have four. i have only met a couple of his children for a very short time, but i was really struck by how magical they are. his daughter, especially, aged three, is like a beacon, streaming out divine light into the world. she just sits there and beams. she’s probably the most extraordinary child i’ve ever come across.

i am therefore concluding that one of the ways in which the awakening of consciousness is going to happen is through parents dissolving their egos, and children simply not devleoping them in the first place to the same extent.

the ego is a false self, a false personality or identity (or, more accurately a basket of identities) which we think is us. instead of just being part of the world like, say, a tree or a badger. animals don’t have egos.

our egos develop as children, in response to our parents egos. if a child were brought up by an animal - like romulus and remus were apparently brought up by a wolf - then they would, theoretically, have very little or no ego. although perhaps the collective human pysche would still exert its influence, because the process of the dissolution of the ego is a collective one.

but certainly if the egos pf parents are partially dissolved, then i think children will will simply not develop big egos in the first place. they won’t see themselves as being so separate from the world. they will feel more connected to the natural world, more connected to other people, more connected to themselves, their passion and creativity. they will also accept WHAT IS much more... they won’t spend their lives unconsciously resisting the world... as the rest of us do.

in my awakened state last week, one of my main resistances to awakening was the resistance to giving up fighting the world... as opposed to accepting whatever comes my way. in my awakened state i could see that there was no point fighting anything, and everything was perfect as it was

what i momentarily gave up, for a few hours, was my resistance to total peace.

imagine if your parents were operating from this perspective, and so you automatically accepted whatever came along, as perfect. imagine if millions of people start to let go of their egos. their separate identities, and all of those people have lots of children.... the world will indeed be transformed.

blessed be.

Written by Sapphire de la terre
read more amazing articles from her at

www.aphroditespeaks.wordpress.com

The power of wild green food in spring

Finally the spring has arrived in England!
Today we went out for a walk, and found some daisies and some, goutsweed. It wash so fresh and alive. We added it to our green smoothie and felt such a boost with our energy! Unbelivable. The combined force of nature is awakening and accessable for us right now.

This is the goutweed we had this morning

Please take advantage of this free gift of our mother nature. Today I just interviewed Victoria Boutenko for the membership program interview series (part of it will also be seen on Youtube soon!), and she mentieoned something very interesting about green. She mentioned that she is planting her own greens in Oregon USA where she lives, and that she needs to take good care of the plants there.

If she forgets to water them, they will turn brown instantly. And when she takes a leave of a salad, often the roots come out with the whole bunch, if she does not watch out.

Did you ever try to unroot a dandelion? Did you know that the roots of dandelion and alalfa can get up to 20 meters deep down the subsoil, where they can access much more nutrients??
This is why the natural wild foods, especially the wild edibles are so truly magical and powerful. The biggest and strongest animals on earth (elephants, giraffes, zebras, gorrilas,..) only live on green. Where do they get the massive amount of protein from? Where the tremndous amount of minerals??

Do you get it. You do not eat half as much as you need to access the same amount of nutrients as if you eat domesticated greens like spinach, salad and kale.
Because we are so thrilled and energized today, we want to share something with you.

We want you also to benefit from the enrgy right now, and start all over in a new life with your children. This is our spring sale to give something back, because we have been given so much.

This is why we offer a radical discount on our books

(and on personal coaching sessions 70% discount for the first 5 ones to come.
Just 4 seats left at http://www.rawfoodcoach.net/personal-coaching-special-offer) until the end of March only.

We really want to give you these important books to such a special price, because we want to help you and say "Thank you" for being with us.

You can access these two books special offers at
http://www.rawfoodcoach.net/5-steps-of-raw-success-special-offer

http://www.therawfoodfamily.com/raising-raw-children-teleclass-special-offer

Raw food and children in winter time

What to watch out for during the wintertime and in general

During the wintertime there is obviously not as much sun light
as there is during the rest of the year.

We need the sun to produce Vitamin D.
Vitamin D is needed for developing strong teeth and bones.
It is especially important for children to get enough, because they are still growing.

Last winter, when we stayed here(in the UK),
we haven't been careful enough with it and Ronja developed some little cavities.

I was always thinking “ oh what is this Vitamin D – hype “ all about...but now I learned it and I because I don't want you to make the same mistakes I share my knowledge with you.
You can make sure to have enough by using a supplement and eat nettles.

The next thing missing during the wintertime is the warmth. So some people maybe decide to have some steamed vegetables or cooked Quinoa . But, you don't really need that.
To get warm in the winter you should start to move yourself and your children.
Either have a dance in the house or go outside and play .
It truly is the best thing to stay warm and besides that it gives your whole
system a good workout. And when your system is working good, you don't feel cold.

Go outside . Even when you can't see the sun, it is still there and you can catch some sunlight by being outside. We tend to stay in the house , because it is warmer inside. You look outside and all feels cold, dark and depressing. But as soon as you wrapped yourself up and go outside, you will start to notice , that the sun is shining a little or the the birds are still singing.

Another thing , I personally really miss during the winter time are ripe fruits.
It is really depressing to go to the store and find nothing else than carrots,
hard , unripe mangoes and maybe some apples.

I am convinced, that tropical fruits are essential for raising raw children.
With tropical fruits I mean things like ripe mangoes, jack fruit, durian, coconuts.

Tropical fruits are filled with sunlight .
So you get your sunlight from the inside instead of the outside.

The two families I know, raising raw children without supplementing ,
are really into coconut and ripe fruits.

The last thing, which is really important is to make sure , that your children have
greens, preferable wild edibles.
In case you wonder- yes, you can find them during the winter time.
And we for example started to grow them in our back garden.

Wild edibles and greens (like kale) are packed with minerals like iron and calcium, which is needed for growing. When you eat them together with your juicy, ripe, sweet tropical fruits it is easy to have them and give them to your child. All our kids said that they want to move to that beach, and stay there for a couple of years.

Once we set a foot on that beach, they all run of doing different things. They only come by to our place, to grab some food, and then they are off again, to play in the warm sea, built a sand castle, swing in a hammock, or do other things.

We visit this beach every second day and really think of moving here. It is just so good and fair for our raw kids to live in a warm country, close to the sea. They can be so free!
Apart from our faboulus holiday we are busy in the world wide web.

If you haven't heard about it: We will do a free Teleclass this Wednesday for all parents, who want to know how they can increase the health level of their children, by eating more raw food.

This Free Teleclass will give information on:

- The nutritional needs of children

- How you can satisfy these needs with Raw food

- Is a 100% raw food diet suitable for children?

- What altenatives are there?

- Tricks how to make your children eat more raw food

- How we live this lifestyle as a family

This live call will be available for everyone, and if you are interested you can sign up at
http://www.TheRawfoodfamily.com/free-teleseminar-sign-up.php

We would love to see you there, and give you even more information. Are you calm, or do you want to shout it out?
What does it really mean to you?

Think about this one for a moment,.....

The nature of joy and happiness is simple. It just is!

There is nothing you have to do for it, and the best way to understand is, to carefully watch your children.

They can be so happy by doing the most simple things. If we could only let them be what they want to be, things would be much easier. They Are born with the simple but wise knowledge of happiness.

It can happen in the process of growing up, that you will forget this easy but so important task.
Learn from your children!

We adults with our smart and educated minds, are far to often the block for the happiness of our children.

There is a little story we want to share here on this topic.

From 2005 to 2006 we were travelling around the world with our children.
We did not have much money at that point of our travel, and were on our way home. We missed our last bus bringing us home and had to hitchhike.

We were standing for a long time in the middle of nowhere, and no car would stop for us.

Suddenly it started raining on top of our "serious adult" problems we experienced.

Kathi and I were in a really bad mood, but than we realized what ourkids were doing.

They were playing and laughing outside in the rain. We saw them being so happy, with what they were doing, that we instantly forgot our troubles and joined them.

The next moment a car stopped, and took us all the way home.

The bottom line is, that children are truly happy by nature. They still know the beauty of simple things. There is nothing we have to do for it.

The one and only thing is, not to trouble them with our own stuff, which is sometimes easier said than done!

We think far to much. Our children are so good teachers in this important lesson of life. Watch them, join them and simple feel!

All our love!
The Rawfoodfamily!

Discover the secrets how you can raise heappy and healthy children at our website
http://www.TheRawfoodfamily.com

<media:rating>nonadult</media:rating>
