First post since a very long time. This is my SCX10 and I decided to use other rims on this one: The standard Axial rims that comes with the kit. Tomahawk tires, Camel Yellow with some flatblack details.

REELY Rex-X Nano

This is something that I really can recommend - the Rex-X Nano from REELY. I was a little sceptical at first since I wasn´t sure about the quality but You definitely can´t go wrong with this. It´s RTF and You charge it via USB - tons of fun for 40 Euro! It´s very durable, has an aluminumchassis and it really can take a LOT of abuse. The flyingcharacteristics are great, very stable and it handles very smooth - everything from hovering to "fast" flying and sharp turns works without any kind of problems. After about 50 flights, the chargetime is approx. 20 minutes and constant flytime is about 8 minutes - perfect for "killing time" now and then.

I entered the "Modern World" with this. A 2.4 GHz, 3 channel transmitter without all the gimmicks like display a s o (I can do without all that stuff) and for an occasional driver like myself, this is perfect: It has all You need and it comes with the SR300 reciever, all analog settings and that for a very good price.

I was very lucky one day: I found this unused M-chassis on a fleamarket and I got it so cheap that I almost feel ashamed about it. Never really been interested in these type of cars / chassis but this is really a nice construction and a cool addition to any collection.

KYOSHO Scorpion / Advance hybrid

This is a project that also is on the "things to do - list". I wanted to try to come up with something different so I took a few parts from the Kyosho Advance (the rollcage) since that to me ist a quite nice looking cage. The chassis is a Scorpionchassis and I built a radiobox that had a little lower profile than the standardbox because if I would use that one it would be a little too much on height and the driver would not fit - and also, I liked the challenge. The shell is the Kyosho Beetle boxlid and I built a simple cockpit from plasticard and with some putty it turned out ok. I also converted the wheels (12 mm hex with wideners), lots of selfmade stuff a s o. I haven´t worked on this since a few years now and there are lots of things to do but I really want to finish it a s a p. Stay tuned!

TAMIYA Ford F 150 Runner

Tamiya Ford F150, haven´t used this since almost 1.5 years now and it´s time to change that! LRP 19 t, shockmounts from 3-Racing, vintage HPI 5-spoke matte chrome rims, an HPI Savage frontbumper & ball bearings - besides that it´s all stock, a great & fun car to drive: The TA01 / 02 chassis is very reliable and this particular model (58161) doesn´t cost a fortune - a great car for everyone!

A few years ago I saw a picture online, an old ad, showing the Cox Scorpion (in the US. it was distributed by Cox and the only thing that differs from the Kyosho / Graupner-version are the decals, the box and that it was pre-assembled as far as I know). It said "Modeled after Bob Rodine´s buggy". I did some research and ended up at www.race-dezert.com where I got in contact with Mike Adams. He sent me these pictures from "Hot VW Magazine", showing Mr. Rodine´s buggy and You can tell that this 1:1 buggy inspired Akira Kogawa when he designed the Scorpion. Enjoy!

I don´t know why I never laid my hands on a WW before - these are so cool!! This will be a runner but only on sundays and if the weather is good ;o) I cleaned the chassis, repainted the shell, the driver and added the few things that were missing - in other words: a fast and simple restore. It´s in a quite good condition for a runner, it has a few minor scuffs here & there, the only parts that really look used are the rims and the tires: The tires were dry and has some small cracks but that´s ok. I cleaned them using SONAX and later on, some glycerin will definitely do the trick. I am waiting for a repro-grill and then the first testrun can begin:)

The Tamiya FORD F-350 - the first testruns can be viewed here. Although it´s mounted on an extended Tamiya XC-chassis it did perform quite well, it´s definitely not a crawler but that was not my intention with building this one, I just wanted to try to build a "street-look" pickup.

2 wings that I really like and definitely something different than the standard lexan-wing. The upper one is from Tim Robbins (Reproduction House) and the lower wing from Pargu. ( The roofcage on the upper picture is not properly attached to the cage (the rear) if anyone is wondering).

Mounted a wing from Pargu on this one. The Pargu-wings (all his products btw) are very nicely made and I think it fits quite good on this particular Scorpion.

Finally I got myself a Tamiya Wild Willy M38 - Thx Chris, the Brat is on it´s way! Very nice condition, nothing broken and no cracks in the shell. It´s missing the grille though and the winch is laying here, waiting to be mounted. I will clean this one, strip it and paint it - I am pretty sure that this will be flat green:) Stay tuned!

KYOSHO Turbo Scorpion Project

This is my Kyosho Turbo Scorpion - a car that will be built from 90 % new parts. This has been a long-time project and I just recently started to put this together. I have been trying to find NIP parts for a while now and I am almost there. Stay tuned!
Pls note that the part SC73 - Battery / Fueltank mount, is no standard-part of the TS, it´s mounted temporary on this chassis because it´s a used part and I wanted to see how it fits in after a light polish, it will be fitted on my Tomahawk.

Carrera Structo / Offroad Racing Buggy

I usually never buy anything that I don´t know what it is but as I stumbeled over this little fella I fell in love right away - a Carrera Offroad Racing Buggy. It sure does look like a small Tamiya Rough Rider?:) I don´t have that much info about this little car and the scale is probably 1:16 / 1:18 and the year could be mid. 80´s I think. 27 mhz, very simple construction with a pivot-rear. I called Carrera / Germany but they don´t have any info about it so if anyone knows something I would be very happy if You could contact me. // Thank You!

Auto-Modell Technik published this ad. in Feb. 1983. A red Kyosho Scorpion - look at the driver: Never seen a head inside the helmet before and this would be a nice thing to try with the drivers-head from Tamiya´s Subaru Brat for example!

Finally got my hands on a Jamara Rhino, factory assembled, belt drive with ballbearings. This is a new, never used piece that really makes me smile! This car was available until summer 1992 when it was removed from the product line.

Tamiya Sand Scorcher

This is my only original Tamiya Sand Scorcher - the chassis is in great shape and the shell has a few cracks here and there but almost all the parts are there except the mirrors, indicators & windows. The re-release would solve that problem but I prefer to try to find those missing parts from the first version. This is a "Long time project" and that´s perfect since I am just extremely happy to own one.
