Smoochr is a social site for entertainment news. Registered users can submit sites and vote sites up or down - like Digg only for entertainment news.

Scanr allows you to make copies of text from anywhere using just your cellphone. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of manually copying down notes from a whiteboard this could be just the thing for you. I would also imagine this would also be useful for secret agents.

StockTickr says it’s “social investing” and “it’s the easiest way to store a watchlist on the web. Uncover new trade ideas, use RSS to track stocks, and more.” I admit I don’t know jack about stocks so I can’t give a good description of what this does, but it does say it’s social, and it has tagging and RSS feeds, so that’s good enough for me. They need someone to make proper Web 2.0 logo for them though.

Preloadr is a free service providing image manipulation functions linked with your Flickr account. It is designed to pre-process photos uploaded to Flickr. It can do “Graduation Curve, Histogram, Layers and more like pros do” (yeah, I don’t know what all that means either). It describes itself as “The best way to upload and optimize photos to Flickr. Better colors, better sharpness, better contrast.” I didn’t actually give it a try, but the demo images on the front page do look impressive. It’s not clear what their revenue model is, but their logo has it labelled as “early”, so maybe the revenue-generation will come later.

Talkr is an interesting service that provides an audio version of text-only blogs. The free audio feeds sound pretty decent and almost natural. It would be awesome if a future version would let you listen to blogs in different voices such as the robot voice or angry man voice.

Lingr is a neat little AJAX chat app which is basically a clone of the popular Camp Fire chat app. It is currently completely free but I can’t imagine that can continue for long if they become popular. They just recently rolled out a bunch of new features including the absolutely necessary bell sound to notify you when someone says something. Say It! Don’t spray it.

With a name like Streakr.com, I was expecting some sort of compilation site of the best streakrs caught on video or maybe a Digg-like site where you can rate the streakrs bodies, but the tagline for the site is “the real social network”. Streakr is currently labelled “Coming Soon” so there’s no telling how long we’ll have to wait to have access to the real social network site for streakrs.

Blufr is fun way to test your knowledge of obscure facts through a series of true/false questions. Be careful, this game is oddly addictive and you may find yourself repeatedly answering questions. This is the perfect thing for rounding off your useless knowledge.

You might think Flagr is for high school flag teams to socialize and post things like “MY high school rulez!”, but sadly, that’s not the case. Flagr lets you make your own custom Google Maps with mutiple locations (flags) on them.

With a name like blogr, you might expect just blogging, but you would be mistaken. Blogr is a service that combines blogging, images, video and podcasts in one package. Sadly imagr.com and videor.com are taken by squattrs. Podcastr says coming soon so you can bet we will keep our eyes on that exciting newcomr!
