It's good for a man to feel like he does not need to have a specific woman in his life in order to be happy. You are never going to really be able to control what your ex girlfriend is going to do, but what you can do is to control the things that you do right now. Now, that does not mean that you can't find a way to get back into her good graces later on down the line. It is much more likely to happen if you are cool with the idea that she wants some time where you and her do not speak. Another thing that would be good for a guy like you to do in this situation is to use your time to socialize with some new women. Maybe even date a little bit.<br /> <br /> You are going to have to learn to bounce back from a break up if you are going to have any fun when it comes to dating. No one is immune to the possibility that the relationship that they are in could come to an end. The worst thing that you can do is to allow a break up to wreck your self esteem and your confidence and turn you into someone who is afraid to move on with his life. We've all seen men that have allowed this to happen to them and it is usually NOT a pretty sight.<br /> <br /> Another thing that you may not want to have to consider, but probably should, is the likelihood that this really could be the final act for you and her. You may not be able to patch things up with your ex girlfriend. As hard as it may be to think of things in that way, you can still do well without her specifically in your life. It's not like there are not a lot of women out there that you could have some fun with and maybe even connect with and have a meaningful relationship. And you never know what the future holds.
