My Thoughts:

Warning: I will do my best to not include spoilers for book one! Feel free to read my review of book one, A Touch Mortal, if you would haven't read it yet!

A Touch Morbid was one of my most anticipated books of 2012. I have been looking forward to it ever since I read the devastating cliffhanger to A Touch Mortal. I was not disappointed. Leah Clifford has woven a twisted, crazy world that sucked me in and didn't let me out. I love how the traditional angel/demon tale is made into something so new and totally unique.

I adore each character, even the bad guys! Eden is strong and bad-ass, yet still vulnerable and conflicted. Az, oh Az, he is the sexy sexy boyfriend that any girl would want. Their date scene literally had me swooning! Gabe is the ultimate sacrificer. Luke, well, he's Lucifer, so of course he's the eternal bad boy, but he is oh so steamy and drool-worthy. Kristen is still her twisted self, though she is going through quite a hard time. I love her and her twisted mind! My favorite character of all has to be the damaged good guy, Jarrod! He is just so protective, and sweet, and cute!

A Touch Mortal is dark, edgy, exciting and emotionally-charged! I was never sure what was going to happen next, or why characters were making the decisions they were, and when it all came together, I was blown away! Left with another crazy ending (but thank-goodness not as bad as last time!) I can not wait for the final installment in this series to see what is in store for us next! If you like your YA a little dark and twisty I recommend this series for you!

My Thoughts:

Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, may just be one of the longest titles ever. I wanted to grab it just for the unique title and amazing cover. Of course, after some reviews that I read, I knew that there was much more to this story, and I was not disappointed. Jennifer E. Smith has created two characters that are very real, and very relatable. Both made me fall completely into their worlds, and their lives, and that is exactly what I wanted to do.

Hadley is one mad daughter. She is mad that her dad has left, she is mad that he is getting remarried, she is mad that her mom is ok with it. Mostly she is mad that she has to fly across the country to not only attend, but to be a bridesmaid, of all things. I really felt for Hadley, I could really sympathize with her character and what she was going through. I loved that Hadley was a smart and sarcastic character, and that she was well read.

Oliver was more of a mystery, and who doesn't love a sexy mysterious boy with an accent? He's never clear on why he's going home to London or what he's studying in school. He's funny and quirky. I really enjoyed all the little scenes as they got to know each other on their plane ride. One of my favorite things was the little old lady in the seat next to them, who had been married for many years, and assumed they were in love. She was beyond cute and sweet.

I really enjoyed Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight. The whole book was a crazy adventure that left me smiling and just more in love with love. The moral of this story is either: If you miss your next flight, always try to find the hot English guy, or you never know what fate will deal you, true love may be just around the corner - or right beside you on a plane. If you are a fan of contemporary I suggest you pick this one up!

Bout of Books Day 7 Challenge - Hero/Heroine Matchup

The challenge is to take one book you've read during the readathon and match the hero/heroine from that book with a hero/heroine from another book.

The book I'm read during the readathon that I chose was A Touch Morbid by Leah Clifford.

Eden from A Touch Mortal WITH Kale from Touch by Jus Accardo

Not only do these titles go well together BUT this would make one KILLER couple, and I do mean that in the most literal sense! Eden can kill siders, if you have read book one, A Touch Mortal and don't know what that mean, I won't ruin it for you, but let's just say, she's badass!
Kale can kill anyone with his the touch of his skin!! BUT Eden is already dead, so I think they can make due!

No one would be able to mess with this power couple mortal or immortal!

Plus, they are VERY pretty together, aren't they??

Hi, Angela. Thank you for hosting me here today. My two main characters from CRACKED are both sixteen-year-old boys. Bull Mastrick is a complicated guy with many hidden layers – on the surface, he’s justifiably angry and he takes all of his anger out on Victor Konig. But below that, smooshed down where no one can see, is someone who loves to read, has a snarky sense of humor, and wouldn’t mind being loved. In light of Bull being a total badass, I think he would love THE OUTSIDERS as well as FREAK THE MIGHTY by Rodman Philbrick. I could also see him loving CATCHER IN THE RYE or KING DORK by Frank Portman—the inner anguish the main characters feel in these two novels would be easy for him to relate to.

Victor Konig is the victim, tortured by Bull since they were little kids. He thinks of himself as useless and weak. Because of his raw suffering mixed with his inner wit, I could see him getting lost in anything written by John Green. I would also love to have Victor read Sherman Alexie’s THE ABSOLUTELY TRUE STORY OF A PART TIME INDIAN. Exposing him to the heart and tenacity of that main character could do Victor a world of good.
