Our Collection Of CDs

We have quite a good collection of Christian music CDs. At least that's what a number of members have told us.

Chor Hoo and Christina have very kindly donated a CD player for use at the library. So now you can try out the CDs before you decide on which ones to borrow.

We have just added a whole load of brand new books for youths, covering topics like dating and relationship with parents. All available at level 3 at Hope PC.

Updated catalogues

Reads catalogues have recently been updated.

Just for the record, there are 2200 books in the Main section, 300 books in the Junior section and 35 books in the Young People section.

There are also 210 CDs and DVDs, catering to members and worshippers of all ages.

Remember to drop by at level 3 every Sunday!

For Those Who Are Interested In Stats

A little bit of statistics.

From the start of the Reads ministry in March 2008, a total of 1100 items (books, dvds, cds) have been loaned out by members.

These include both the Main section and the Junior section. The numbers would have been inflated by those who extended their books (a new entry is made at every extension).
Nevertheless, we are encouraged by the steady response of members.

To break down the numbers further, the 1100 items consist of 761 books (69%, Main & Junior) and 339 AV materials (31%, dvds & cds).

Keeping Up To Date

We had our 'roadshow' on 17th May Sunday.

About 50 items (books and AV materials) were borrowed out by 25 of our HPC members/worshippers. We hope these materials borrowed will be a source of blessing and inspiration for them.

Time flies!
It has been almost one year since Reads@HPC was launched on 7 April 2008.

We have just added a brand new movie DVD to our collection. This is "The No.1 Inspirational Movie Of The Year" in the US.

A very inspirational and touching movie, great for families and couples.

Gotta be fast, as we predict that this dvd will be a "hot" item.

Christmas 2008

In a span of 1 week, we had a baptism service and a Christmas service.

The photos are already in the Gallery section, all taken by our intrepid photographer Anthony Tan.

The Worship Ministry has very kindly contributed 25 brand new music CDs and DVDs to Reads. These include the latest songs by Hillsong, Parachute, Jars of Clay, Paul Baloche ...... the list goes on. All available on level 3 of HPC.
