Just as the name implies, ready to assemble (RTA) cabinets are cabinets that are packaged in such a way that they can quickly be assembled once you’ve opened the box. They’ve been around for about 10 years now and they’ve come a long way since then. Current RTA cabinets are made to be almost indistinguishable from factory made cabinets and are much cheaper then they’re factory counterparts. Try to think of RTA Cabinetry like IKEA furniture… it’s easy to assemble but unlike IKEA it’s stronger, and longer lasting!

The typical build time for a Ready-to-Assemble Cabinet is 7 to 15 minutes (7 to 10 for wall RTA cabinets and 10 to 15 for base cabinets). More complex RTA cabinets like pantries, and corner pieces will naturally take longer due to having more pieces.
