And now: RealBird's Year by Numbers

2009 was the best year in RealBird's history across all major metrics. Below are some of the volume and traffic highlights. Of course, there are hundreds of exciting metrics and ratios to talk about and I only included some of the sensational and/or insightful ones.

Total registered RealBird members since launching of RealBird: 16,415

New member registrations in 2009: 2,772 (or an average 7 new members per day)

The following stats focus on the RealBird Listing Publisher service (including free and pay accounts) and excludes the RealBird Property Search and other web properties.

Total number of new listings published in 2009: 14,450 listings

Listing unique view increase from 2008 to 2009: +41.56% (source: Google Analytics)

Listing page view increase from 2008 to 2009: +75.40% (source: Google Analytics)

Average time on a listing website increase from 2008 to 2009: +10.83% (source: Google Analytics)

And finally, the distribution of the top 10 referring sites (syndication partners, social networks, blog networks etc.) Please note: the chart below does not imply the effectiveness of any of these platforms, nor does it represents any metrics when comparing them directly to each other. It merely shows the relative number of click-throughs for the 2009 period. One site may be better for conversion than the other even if their referral count is smaller (e.g. inquires captured on those sites, resulting in direct phone calls and for many other reasons)

 As you can see, Craigslist, Zillow and Trulia is leading the pack, followed by ActiveRain (probably due to the new ActiveRain optimized RealBird embed code and their nice yearly growth).

Listing Publisher Quick Share interface

The new Quick Share page lists all of your RealBird property websites on a single page with links to the sharing code for the most popular destinations. Once you bookmarked this page, you do not have to log back into RealBird to access it. Just load your bookmarked Quick Share page and post to major classified sites with a few click. You can find your Quick Share page in the member area as shown below. You won't have to log in again on subsequent visits.

Message Archive RSS

Whenever a visitor to your listing website or RealBird Property Search sends you an email inquiry or a showing request or forwards the property information to a friend or family, these messages are also stored in the RealBird Message Archive. With this new release, there is a 3rd option now: you can subscribe to your own Message Archive's RSS feed and get notified on new inquiries or forwards instantly. Never miss another inquiry due to spam filters. You can access your RSS feed in the member area as shown below:

Improved Craigslist embed code with better click-through rates

We improved the Craigslist embed code to increase the click-through rates to your RealBird single property websites. The large primary image on the top left side is no linked and the call-for-action link is highlighted and the text changed to "More photos and additional info", as shown below. BackPage - another popular classified sites  - is very flexible in terms of the HTML content. We updated the Backpage.com code generator and now your properties can be advertised with the high-impact RealBird slideshow widget. Just log into RealBird or use the Quick Share page to post to BackPage.com
