2015-09-03T18:16:00.000-06:00

This is a new locker style cabinet that left to its new home. I designed the brackets for the wheels and also tried something new with the detail molding on top to balance out everything going on down low.

Reclaimed wood & steel farm table

2015-09-03T17:59:00.000-06:00

Reclaimed Heart Pine Table 16' Long

New photos are up! We had professional photos taken of our build at Boulder Brands Expansion on Pearl Street in Boulder, Colorado.
Working with Surround Architecture we built an additional reception desk to the two we built in 2013, a 16' Tasting Table, and 8 bistro table bases.

The Reclaimed Heart Pine Farm Table was built for their test kitchen where they will film products and have public tastings. Now for the specs...reclaimed Heart Pine finished at 3" thick and cut down to two manageable 8' pieces create the stunning 16' long table top, 6" x 6" reclaimed pine beams wrapped in steel make the six legs that support this one of a kind statement piece.

new items

2015-07-16T13:34:00.001-06:00

We have been really busy working on some new designs for hostess stands and tables lately along with all of the projects going on , this is why there has been a gap between posting a lot. I will also be getting my website reworked soon to show some of the new work. In the meantime, there are a couple new things on the website. A bar stool design I came up with that is better and stronger than anything I have ever seen, along with a tall locker style cabinet, that I added some new detail to, and really loved how it came out. Please go to www.justinrealfurniture.com to see and look for the new updated website in the near future.

Also, I do have a few things in the shop that I need to clear out to make room for other things and will be selling some pieces at a reduced cost. I have 2 I beam coffee tables , one is a rust version, and one sandblasted as seen on my website. I also will have a media cabinet available, along with a couple lamps I could also let go of, I have a lot I am working on and simply need room. Email jrealfurniture@yahoo.com for info.

New projects keeping busy

2015-06-08T15:08:00.001-06:00

Have been really busy working on a project for Macy's, Boulder Brands who is the owner of Udis Gluten Free along with other brands, Surround Architecture, and Isle Of Capri Casino. All of these have me very busy however we are pretty caught up and the schedule is under control so orders can be taken. Will post pictures of these projects soon. In the meantime I will post a few pictures soon of other things recently.

Latest things to leave the shop

2015-05-04T19:24:00.001-06:00

Here's snapshots of some of the latest things to leave the shop.

Hostess stand

2015-04-19T09:09:00.001-06:00

This is a quick snapshot of a hostess stand I completed for a new wine bar getting ready to open in my town called Origins wine bar. It was a serious amount of work to make the random pattern actually work and fit together.

Projects

2015-03-24T09:25:00.001-06:00

As always we are very busy. Here's some snapshots of things we are working on or completed. Also, we are in the early stages of opening a coffee bar in our town on Loveland Colorado. We will of course be building the bar and furniture for it and creating an amazing atmosphere while serving the best coffee possible.

Full schedule ahead.

2015-02-07T19:07:00.001-07:00

It's been a while since I've posted here but there's a lot to keep up with. We maintain traffic through our website at justinrealfurniture.com. We have our online stores on Etsy, Houzz.com, custommade, sonder mill. Usually as of late I post more snapshots of what I'm working on through instagram and facebook. A few things to touch on. I've received a ton of resumes by email and several phone calls looking for apprenticeships. As of right now I have all the help I need and at least for right now I don't have enough time for an apprentice. I do have all the info for everyone whose sent me resumes and will look through them in future if needed.

I'm pretty booked through June and possibly August right now, but it is possible with certain things I can fit them in so just ask first at rljstn@yahoo.com.

Work coming up this year. Have some big projects. Building some tables for Trip Advisor. Working on the expansion of Boulder Brands and building 12 conference tables, a giant 16 foot farm table, reception desk and several bistro tables. Will be working with Macy's on several things. Also will be building items for another Isle of Capri casino. I'm also going to be working with company called Mocaventures who normally design modern kitchens but have a special client who wants a kitchen based around items from me. There are lots more but this is all I can remember at the moment. Will post pictures as progress moves along.

Home bar

2014-12-22T19:41:00.001-07:00

Here is a home bar I just finished. It has 6 drawers with dovetail joints, hickory top stained with ebony stain before sealed. It houses a sub zero fridge that I built an overlay door for so it all matches. It is around 6.5 feet long about 40 high and 24 deep. Everything was kind of built around the fridge so it dictated how it all fit together. It's going to its new home tomorrow. There were a lot of hours in this one. As always. These are my designs and in no way can they be copied without my consent.

Finished things

2014-10-12T08:34:00.001-06:00

Here's a few things I've finished the past couple weeks.

Extremely busy

2014-10-12T08:26:00.001-06:00

We've been really busy beyond words at the shop. I believe somehow I've gotten caught up enough where I can take new work orders but they would not start until January. I absolutely can't take any more to be completed this year. Along with all my individual orders I am working on a big project for a new BEMC market in Florida for Kuhlman Design Group.

Hostess stand for Mercantile Dining and Provisions

2014-09-04T11:47:00.001-06:00

This is a hostess stand I built in a rush for Mercantile Dining and Provisions in the Union Station revitalization in Denver Colorado. It has a reclaimed oak top and turned out really nice.

Schedule

2014-08-13T10:45:00.001-06:00

I want to thank everyone this year for all the business. From past clients who came back for new pieces, to the new clients and companies I have never worked with before. The list of companies I would want to thank is so long that I would hate to list some and possibly forget others, so I will leave it at thank you, you know who you are :)

Anyway, as of right now unless some things possibly get delayed, all new orders will not be able to start fabrication until 2015. I am booked pretty solid right now, and really have no more weekends to squeeze things in until the start of next year. As with every year, the very beginning of the year is the best time to get a place in my schedule with a new build, as once May rolls around, I get totally full and fast. If things change with this schedule with some of the big projects, I will post an update. Thanks so much.

Industrial reception desk

2014-08-05T14:56:00.001-06:00

This is a very big reception desk for Gandy Ink in Texas. About 10 feet long on one side and 7 on short side. I put a 1.5 inch thick hickory top and side cladding is hickory as well. There are two dovetail jointed drawers and a cabinet door as well.

Jdavis architects cabinet

2014-07-26T09:29:00.001-06:00

This is a cabinet I made for JDavis Architects. Its about 10 feet long. I spent a serious amount of time on drilling and tapping and countersinking screws so there was the least amount of welding possible shown. The ends detach for shipping. The stainless rings surrounding the holes in top will allow for trash cans to be housed under. The one on right will have a Starbucks coffee system over it and waste from the coffee grounds will spill through the hole. There will be pictures on my website soon at justinrealfurniture.com

Flat file drawer progress

2014-07-26T09:21:00.001-06:00

Here's a flat file cabinet I'm almost done with. By next week it will be finished. I am facing the drawers with maple and also the back along with a maple top. 7 drawers with 200 lb capacity slides. Dovetail joints on birch drawers.

Original work.

2014-07-23T08:00:00.001-06:00

I would never copy another persons or companies work. I have been made aware from friends and clients daily that there are people trying to start businesses by copying my designs and I'm sure other companies designs also. While it bothers me on some level, on another it doesn't worry me at all. I know the time and effort I put into what I do and there are things you just can't recreate sometimes. Ive also said it a thousand times. I could make more money by mass producing my items but that would take all the challenge out of it and my happiness. I would never copy someones designs as I have too much fun taking chances coming up with other things that are my ideas. I wouldn't even know where to begin.copying anyway. I have literally never looked at other furniture in books or the internet looking for inspiration or ideas. I keep myself pretty cutoff from it all. If I'm looking at pictures on the internet its either puppies or motorcycles :) anyway, they say that imitation is the best form of flattery. So, keep it up all the copycats, because I'm very flattered.

Planter boxes

2014-07-23T07:48:00.001-06:00

My wife and I had about an hour to spare in the shop and grabbed some scrap metal and made some hanging planters. They are super strong triangle box shaped. We sheared our shapes and bent on our box brake and welded where needed. They turned out fun. Now they are homes for some cactuses at our home. I sealed them with an exterior clear lacquer made for metal so.they will hold up longer.

Flat file drawer

2014-07-23T07:42:00.001-06:00

This is a flat file drawer that has 7 drawers and will have a maple top and drawer faces will be maple along with the back, and it will be on casters. Will post pictures next week.
