• Dealing with stray dogs
• Enforcing the dog control orders by issuing Fixed Penalty Notices
• Promoting responsible dog ownership
• Education on animal welfare issues
• Liasing and working alongside other agencies
• Holding events for microchipping and giving out free neutering vouchers to Manchester residents
• Joint working with trading standards issuing petshops, riding establishment and boarding licences
