Good evening all, I am not sure but I think Happy New Years is in order as I have been very busy. Thank you to all my loyal readers and followers, now that the hardest classes are behind me I can get back to my blog. Today, I want to talk about the valley experience, I am sure you all have been there and if you haven’t hold on your time is coming. The valley experience is much like the storms of life at some point we all experience each one. Some of us are so blessed that we are in the valley with the storm going on at the same time. Count it all joy, it’s not as bad as it seems. One of my adopted daughters and my spiritual mom sing this song together, “The Safest Place”. I love this song because it says the safest place is in the will of God, even in the valley low, who would think that God came down to the valley. Another psalmist pens these words:
My God is Awesome/He can move mountains/Keep me in the valley/Hide me from the rain
My God is Awesome/Heals me when I'm broken/Strength where I've been weakened/
Forever He will reign

While we are all familiar with the 23rd Psalms, I question how many of us know, I mean know in an intimate way the Shepard that David was speaking of. Today in church my pastor pointed out that we always think of the valley as a bad place but when we realize it’s a growing place we should look at it different. Look at this, “Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil…” (Psalm 23:4). What we need to look at here you are moving in that valley no one especially the Shepard expects you to lay down and die, in fact another point made today is the it’s the shadow of death, it’s not even real. This experience as bad as it feels is not designed to kill you, but to grow you. I am sure you are thinking that’s easy to say when you don’t know all I am facing. Well as always, I will only talk about Shon, I have had numerous valley experiences, and there were times that even though I knew God was there I screamed out to him in anger, because I couldn’t feel him. One day everything was fine and then all of a sudden the bottom falls out and I am in the valley, wondering what, why, how, when. I have discovered that as parents it seems as our kids grow up so fast but, you know that we never let them go and even when they are supposedly grown and on their own we still want to teach them. God is no different where do you think that quality came from?
God is awesome and yes he can move mountains or he can keep us in the valley where we grow, where no one else can help us out BUT GOD. So, if right now you are in the valley understand it’s a location on your path to destiny. Don’t stress about that child that seems lost, he’s not after all you once were lost but now you are found, the husband that you gave your love and life too, that walked out, it’s okay, the fact that once again cancer decided to knock on the door of your family, your finances are so screwed up, you couldn’t pay attention if you really needed too. Yes, I am saying to you it’s all a part of the plan. Two years ago, I was coasting along finally; I was blessed to leave a job that made me sick. I was happy feeling good and then my marriage started falling apart, valley experience. I look to and say, God you can fix this if you desire too and if not, then Praise God anyway. I kept right on praising right on, thanking him, because though this looked bad, and not only was my marriage a mess, fake friends were exposed, so now I had no choice but to stay right there and talk to the Shepard. Well, he’s a way maker; he kept me in that valley because soon debris from all this would be flying and his plan all along was that I come out unscaved making him look like who he is GOD. So, today if you are in that valley don’t be discouraged keep moving, the scripture says though I walk, walk is an action, you’re not laying there saying why me, whoa is me, NO you should be moving. Not encouraged that I made it, I didn’t die in the valley, well don’t take my word look at this as I leave you:
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. (Psalms)
This should be enough to make you shout, he doesn’t say they get to sit and eat, but they do see you blessed, better so much better than you were. So don’t try to find a detour, stay on course, you’re closer than you think.

Blessings,
Shon Garner Cole

I know right now it may not look good, even worse it may not feel good but it's not over. On Friday,12-14-12, I thought at about 2pm this day can't get worst than this and it did. Nothing personal happened to me, but it felt like it. As a parent, just the thought of that call that your baby is gone is heart wrenching. While many are pondering and stressing over what to buy for Christmas, my heart is heavy for all the Christmas trees that are up with gifts under them that someone won't ever get to open. This was far reaching and the madness didn't stop in Conneticut and China there were so many incidents of death and lost that didn't make the news. Looking at that, I could see folks buying into this theory that Friday, 12-21-12 the world will end. Well let me remind you no man knows the day or the hour. I do know this, "It ain't over until God says it's over."

So, whatever it is that may have you thinking all hope is gone, look at this and believe this, "IT AIN'T OVER", God can and will turn things around in a moments notice without a word to you, why, He doesn't need your help or permission. I thought they were going to be home by Christmas, well if they are still amongst the living if they aren't home this Christmas maybe it'll be next Christmas. I thought by now we'd be married, wait on God if its delayed He has a reason. I thought this pain would have ended it will in time it's really strengthing you.

So tonight when you've prayed that prayer and all is quiet and the enemy tries to plant that seed of doubt, you tell him this you are a liar, and I rebuke you and that thought. GOD IS, and until He says it's over. IT AIN'T OVER.

Blessed to Be a Blessing

type='text'>When Reality Steps on the Scene

I knew the day was coming, this was something, that I mentally, physically, spiritually and financially tried to prepare for, but a text message brought reality on the scene and I have found with death there is no such thing as preparation. No, no such thing. Experience has tried to teach me this lesson over and over again. It was a Wednesday, when I got the call that my granny had fallen asleep and they couldn't get her to wake up. When I got to the hospital, I looked in my Tee Tee's face and said is she dead? She said no, she just won't wake up, I said, I am not a child I graduate in a week is she dead, the doctor said dear she is not dead she is breathing her heart is beating but she has decided that she wants to sleep, my Uncle asked, will she wake up? The doctor said I don't know. I got my things went into the suite outside the room we had adjoining rooms my granny had 13 living kids at the time and numerous adult grandchildren we were all there. As I was taking food orders, I heard in one week she will leave you, go back in and tell her it's okay. I turned walked in the room rubbed her white hair and said well I took one day off and you decided to go to sleep, but it's okay I know you are tired, I love you, sorry it took us so long to get here. My Tee Tee said what are you saying I said she will die next Wednesday, they all wanted to know why I was saying that. My, Nanny looked at me and I said God told me, now what do you all want to eat. I was 18 and graduating in a week, it made no sense to me that God was talking to me. On that day May 18, 1988, I was refusing to go to graduation because while I was sleeping I saw her at my graduation and that was not possible the only way she could be there was as an angel. I couldn't express it to my family they were already looking at me crazy. Well, I got to graduation, my diploma was placed in my hand and she took her last breath. I knew she was leaving but there was no preparing for that.

Here I am again preparing for death, a death I planned and now I feel like Jesus in the garden saying, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” Luke 22:42

Reality has stepped on the scene and made this thing really real. Even though it's at my hands it wasn't my will but what needed to be done. When this all began, I kept getting, "Be Still" and I have to get really real, there were times when those words pissed me off, and I was one "Be Still" from going slam off, but I didn't why cuz it was then that God would say, oh I can use you, but no hard stuff, sit down, folks are watching you. Again, I would come into submission deal with my issues, and think I am good. Really, I am good, because God has a plan for me. You see, this was supposed to take me out, in fact I am sure they are still sitting around going what the what, she still kicking, bills paid, she still making it, YES I AM, but I gotta tell you reality has gotten my attention. Now, don't go getting all sad for me, because I am good, like Jesus, I am going to do what is in the plan for me to do.

Right now it's a feeling I can't explain, but I can tell you I feel God's arm's around me saying, loving me and serving me is ones personal choice you did what I required; you introduced, shared and prayed, you can only accept Me for you. So at this juncture, I have but one regret that so many years are over in basically a few minutes. Strangely though if I could turn back the hands of time, I don't believe I would change one thing. There were plenty of times I could have given in and gave up, but I didn't and for me an end done decent and in order is acceptable.

So no matter how much you prepare for a thing, understand things change for you when REALITY STEPS ON THE SCENE, true friends are found out, fake ones are exposed, you find out that family ain't always the people who share your name and have the same blood running through their veins. You find out just who was saying what about you, all along. Now don't think that the fakers won't be bold enough to still try and pose as friends, but hey smile, nod and say thanks, because they were a part of the plan and now that you are that much closer to your destiny, they are in the right position to you blessed beyond measure.

So as I close this, I have so much more to share, but I can't tell you just how the story ends, He won't allow it so He hasn't even shown me. I have my ideas, but hey, He alone is God. Don't go getting crazy, because I have totally accepted that His will, not Shon Garner Cole's is being done, and tell you the truth if He changes things, I am sure I will be mad, cuz, well I have made up my mind I am okay with this way. Again I say though when reality gets on the scene well things change.

Blessed to Be A Blessing,

Transition is the journey, from the old person and place to the new person and place. A songwriter penned these words, “time is filled with swift transition,” notice the words time is filled which indicates there is not much more in time because transition has it filled. So, how do we deal with transition, well in Joshua 1, by the time we arrive at verse 7, God, have spoken to Joshua and told him to be strong and courageous. I beseech you who are reading this to do the same. You see, the transition is a part of the process and the process is the journey that we must experience to get to the promise, the purpose. I have to remind you that anything that you are set to conquer and possess there will be an enemy already sitting on it. Don’t get scared or discouraged instead be strong and courageous, remembering that in Joshua 1:3 it states, “I am giving you every place where you set foot, exactly as I promised…” There may be times where you have to go ahead and peep out the situation, but whatever you do don’t take folks with you that make problems, things, and man bigger than God. How will you know, when the person walking with you starts naming your obstacles rather than devising the plan then they have made the obstacles bigger than God, please know they have come to the end of the journey with you. Don’t be so concerned about them taking it personal because in fact it is, they don’t fit into your plan because they don’t support your vision for the purpose.
When you are on a journey though it can be swift it can be long, so in being prepared that means you have to eat for where you are going, eat even when you aren’t hungry because the journey is long. If you don’t eat, you will get weak, and wear in well doing. Don’t make this journey a race to get there fast remembering that the race is not given to the swift but to the one that endures to the end. So when in the middle of the journey you lose a job, a love one dies, a child has to reigned back in, you have divorce papers sitting on the table, your bank account has gone from overflow to overdraft, it’s all transition. I need you to stay focused and don’t make those things giants, don’t allow them to become bigger than God. Most importantly, I need you to remember that God has already said to you, He would give you exactly what He has promised.
Now this is for me, but I am sharing because, I know many are in the same place that I am in; you know that God has called you to a thing and a place, a purpose. Some of you are still trying to figure what it is, let me help you a call doesn’t necessarily mean to preach. You can be called to sing, write, teach, act, parent and the list goes on. You can minister more people every day walking around than you ever could in a pulpit. You see everyone likes to glamourize the pulpit and I am taking nothing from it, but know that it comes with great responsibility and a big microscope. That even when the people don’t see, they are listening to see that you are living how they think you should be, many have even made you God. Yes, that why they leave the church and are so disturbed when the pastors human struggles raises its ugly head. Truth is even when you are chosen, you can still face, lust, depression, you can still get angry and let your mouth get you in words get you in trouble. There will be times that you want to tell God, just how you feel about this transition, because He called you, so why not just make this easy.
I leave you now, but I do want to share that when transition kicked my door in, it shook me, BUT GOD. It’s only because I have hidden HIS WORD in my mouth and I meditate on it day and night that I have not succumb to what I felt was a complete violation of my life. I don’t mind being transparent, I told God this is not a part of what I signed on for, why would people want to serve you watching my story? Well, let me tell, all I got was why not you Shon Garner Cole? Did, I ever promise you that you would never suffer? Am I not God because you are hurting and don’t like where you are? You see He didn’t give me an answer or a word; He gave me questions that forced me to call on the word that is hidden in my heart. That word that says, I should count it all joy when I fall into various trials and temptations, that word that says all things work together for good to those who love God. The word that told me that Jesus was in the Garden and said not my will but your will. So, now I say thank you for all who left, thank you for the financial storms, thank you for the sleepless nights, because in the midst of those storms I stood, of course I bent, but I didn’t break, NO, I stood and I am still standing. The winds still blow sometimes not as hard, but they still blow and then there are times when hurricane winds blow, but I stand, why because I remember this, no one will be able to stand up against me, that He will always be with me and because of this I have accepted that I have to transition to the promise.

Blessed to be a Blessing,
Shon Garner Cole

For some this happened early, but for many we are still waiting. I want to encourage you not to give up, you have come to far to give up now. I know it would be so easy to call the year based on what things may look like, but don't. If things are good, stay on course don't loose focus because things will go from good to great if you can just stay focused. Maybe you are like me and things have been a roller coaster, well it's more important that you don't give up. You see on Wednesday, when I was riding home thanking God for the day, He gave me this, it's the 3rd day of the first month of last 3 months in this year, you received blessings that were derivatives of 3. My reply was, " yes, I got it" and I did have it. If you haven't gotten to where I am here it is 3 is Trinity- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Most days, I send out an inspirational message, and Thursday, it basically said that many were discouraged about where they were this year, as I said above if you are good you may be disappointed because based on what was preached, prophesied and told to you, you should be better. If your world is spinning out of control then you, for sure are wondering where is the deliverance I was supposed to be experiencing? Well, I encouraged them not to give up because if God could show up on Calvary in the way He did in 3 days, I can't begin to even think of all He can do with 3 months. So it's going to take faith, but I pray you stand on His word and keep the faith. God being God, gave me an almost immediate confirmation. I went to Bible Study and I missed the scripture and topic, but pastor was teaching on the dream and trusting the dream. He shared that often once you have had the dream which is a peep into your future, as life would have it your world starts to spin out of control, but if we stay focused and don't give up we will see it come to pass.

Later I watched Bible Study on streaming and pastor was teaching from Genesis 37:1-7, this passage talks about Joseph's dream and how after he had the dream shared the dream his world was turned completely upside down. He was thrown in a pit and left for dead, he ended up in the palace it looked like things were turning around, oh but wait,he was set up and thrown in prison. Yes things were up and down for Joseph but can I share with you, it was all a part of the plan. For those of us who God communicates with in dreams we have to know that it's a preview, but we have to go through the process to get to the purpose.

Friday, I encouraged my group to stay encouraged and not give up. I explained exactly where we are in the process of purpose. I am sure you have felt it, the change in the atmosphere that is because change is taking place and I can assure you the change is going to be a blessing, even though for some it may look dim, don't despise what it looks like this process is getting you ready for your purpose.

You lost the job, God has a better one, you lost a love one, God knew best, your finances are in a mess, God has that too. They left you, set you up, slandered your name, tried to make others think you had lost your mind. Well count it all joy, because if they knew where God was taking you, they'd loose their minds. In fact they will soon see as long as you keep walking in the assignment of your process to get to your purpose.

I leave you with these points shared by my pastor: Don't loose sight of your dream, don't loose your drive(stay focused),make a decision to do the right thing, don't give up, don't repay evil for evil, and finally let it go (whatever happened after the dream let it go). If you hold on to it, it could cause you to delay getting your blessings, so move on where it's needed, forgive when needed and stay focused.

I wish you countless blessings and if you stay focused, you too can end up like Joseph. From the pit to palace, from the palace to prison, from prison to the purpose.

But they are here and every time I have mood swing or shed a tear, I am reminded that He loves me. I am so glad He loves me enough to send comfort that quickly. Friday, I was on my way home and I was singing loud I'm Still Holding On, and then I came home to prepare for a weekend away with my girls. Well, that night, I caught what I still refer to as a herd of Charlie Horses, there is no way that kind of pain came from a cramp. My sister friend called me or did I call her, I think she called me to check on me. We talked about my post and the cramp, then she said you can't drive like that, I said I need to get away. Saturday morning, I woke up and I prayed, ask God's blessings on a few folk but mainly those who meant it for my bad but I knew God would have the last word and yes they were genuine prayers of blessings. You see the word says touch not my anointed. I drifted off to sleep my eyes flew open because I had a trip to take and my daddy was coming by before I left, to my surprise my leg was hurting so bad, it hurt to walk on it. I was still going because I had talked to my girl and said yes, I'm coming, but in the back of my mind I kept asking myself is that smart? Then my spirit chimed in, and then I called my voice of reason my baby boy. Yes Jesus Loves me He gave me kids that are so in tuned with me, at that time my sleeping angel came tumbling out her room saying we don't need to go, and I cried a river. She says, I was excited because I wanted you to finally do something for you, with one of your friends, you are always taking me and my friends somewhere. I cried.

This morning, a very dear old friend text me out the blue we are close I send my friends text all the time but I rarely get text unless they are prayer request or jokes, so to get one this morning when I was sitting at my desk telling myself why I needed to sit at that desk and work and not come home ball up in bed and cry was another reminder that Jesus Loves Me, Yes He does.

Too hours later be packing my desk and bag for the end of the day and tell God what I needed and said now you take care of it, and then get an email from my sister entitled Help Is on the way, that email literally and physically shook me. To be sitting here now, trying to stay focus and study, and to pick up the phone for the second text from Teddy that said God has all my tears, and get the fb post that I got, about not giving up, again I thought, Yes Jesus Loves Me. To read the motivational thought from Pastor Marvin Sapp, again my heart sang Yes Jesus Loves Me.

Sitting here watching Bishop Jakes and to hear Tamela Mann say that God told her to tell the women to step aside, and let Him do it, let God be God, again physically my body Shook. So, real fast my mind hit rewind and I thought about Friday, how I was happy to be going to see one of my besties, but I was bitter-sweet because I would be missing church and boot camp. Now I know, God knew I needed to be there the solo before the sermon was I'm Still Holding On, Pastor told me I was in the role of my life and I have been saying that for months now, then he dropped this on me, just trust God, He wrote the end before He wrote the beginning. Whoa, right there God said I said stand, all I want you to do is Stand not give an inch. Stand and I will do the rest. SO, I had to stop and share with you, who ever you are who is reading this, who feels like I feel, like what more can I take, know this He has it, just stand. He loves you, just like He loves me, Yes Jesus Loves Me, for He keeps telling me so.

Blessed to Be A Blessing,
I woke up to that is what He expected, as I listened at the rain and prepared for church I listened at this song over and over again I want a heart that forgives. I want to forgive rather they ever acknowledge what they did wrong rather they hurt me intentionally to see me broken no matter why they need my forgiveness Lord let me forgive not just with my mouth but with my heart. When I got to church I walked in heart a little heavy but expecting that every burden that came up, every feeling of hurt that was now so right there, that seemed so fresh I wanted to leave there and bless God I did. The songs that were played ministered to the very depths of my soul. Then Pastor Donaldson, took his place and gave a word from on high. A word that showed me just how far I had come, and just why the enemy was fighting me so hard because he knows what God has for me and he wants to get me off track . He confirmed that I made the right decision to tread through the rain because missing an essential opportunity to get the equipment I needed would make me ill prepared for this fight I am in. I now know that I am stronger and that every person who hurt me, who I hurt, who is not in my life is because of a choice, a choice was made for it all. It's time out for blaming but to accept the fact that a CHOICE was made and it's not important who made it but that it was made. Anyone who is not in my life now no matter how long they have been gone are not there because first a choice was made, but most importantly God knew they were not needed for Him to bring me to fullness of His promises for me. That even some that are still here are here not because they like me all that much because in some way they are benefiting from being where they are. That sooner or later they will look to something else with their eyes and make the decision to walk away just as Lott walked away from the blessing he was associated with by being with Abraham. To all who look at my post here on FB and the ones I send by text too trying to figure out what's wrong am I hurting, am I going through something; the answer to all of it is yes and today it's my turn, yours may have passed or may be still to come, but since you are watching and passing on the story, pass this on I AM EQUIPPED. I have a concealed weapon, and I will and do use it. You see struggles are called that for a reason if they were easy they wouldn't be called struggles and even when you when win or it' over, it's obvious that you have been in a struggle even if it's no more than a hair out of place. So know this, I am not perfect, but I am GOD's Anointed, I know because He keeps His hand on me. I know it because complete strangers looked at me and call me blessed. I know because when the enemy comes in my presence he is uncomfortable as he is supposed to be because of the Light that I carry. So, yes I am saved but I am in this struggle, but I will be at every training session that has been set in place for me and I will win this fight. I have this book that I was given and I use it. I wish I could say I won't shed another tear but that would be a lie. But know this I am not crying over who is here that doesn't want to be as a matter of fact I release you or them to leave. I won't cry over who is gone, because I don't need them anyhow. So while you're watching, gossiping and spreading watch me win in Jesus Name, please keep watching because after while you are going to for real have to something to say. You see, I'm going in this cocoon and when I come out this beautiful black butterfly with wings that spread wide, with a flight that's flawless it will be no doubt that GOD KEPT ME. To all my friends and family that may read this don't put anymore into than what it says and that is that I AM HIS and HE IS MINE so I AM GOOD. In the end when you see me, if you don't know and believe you will cuz only GOD can do what it is about to be done in my life. CUZ one day God is going allow me or someone who knows to tell my story and you are going to have but this one response; BUT GOD. So many use face book as their tool to stay in the know, all you will ever get from me is a word. I too felt like throwing in the towel. I mean shucks lets just be real, if you are like me, you have given God all you have, time, prayers, fasting and oh let's not forget tithes and offering and still it seems like every time you turn around something else is happening. But if you are like many it seems to only be happening to you, why not the neighbor who hasn't been to church since Pep was a pup, or the co-worker that has a story to match every one of yours but always has on something new. I know you feel like this struggle has gone on too long and you are tired. Well don't give up, as a matter of fact take a deep breath and let it out. That, that was your second wind. Now, now we can finish strong, look over there can you see it, Yes, it's there the finish is just on the other side of through so go on, let's get it. "Do you see what this means- all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veteran cheering you on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running-and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how we did it. Because He never lost sight of where He was headed-that exhilarating finish in and with GOD- He could put up with anything along the way; Cross, shame, whatever. And now He's there, in the place of honor right along side God. Wen you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility He plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!" Heb 12:1-3 (MSG) So, I know it's hard and it's been long but trust me the race is already fixed you win, if you take that second wind and keep it moving. - Blessings Shon Garner Cole -whew I got it out.

JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL

It was Friday, the 13th and I didn't even know it, if I had it wouldn't have mattered because I don't buy into all that gibberish, but I can sure tell you at some point I realized that for over a year I had been headed down this street going nowhere fast. I had been fasting and praying and all of sudden that day, I realized in all my praying and fasting I had never taken my foot off the gas to hit the break. I had never taken my hands off the wheel to let Jesus drive. Sure I had Him the car, was taking Him every where I went, but never surrendering it all to Him. Yesterday, I read a friends post on face-book that made look at things with an entirely different perspective. Here I was whining, complaining, mad and disappointed, but at least I could pick up the phone and hear the voice I wanted to hear, go in the other room and touch who I wanted to touch and somebody somewhere just wants that option.

I started to look back over my life the last few years and I spent a lot of time with this cape on, wearing a S on my chest that didn't just stand for SHON GARNER COLE, I was wearing it because I thought I needed to handle it all. The good things, the bad things, the uhm I don't know how I want to feel about those things. Then all of sudden like the girl in Carrie's song, I hit the invisible black ice and as saved, and anointed as I am, I had hit this black ice and my life was/is spinning out of control. I looked around and the folks that are still here are looking like what, we know already that you aren't SUPER WOMAN, you are the one that didn't. So then I thought okay, Jesus, I thought I gave this to you and I danced and danced, shoot I was even hoping others would dance encouraging them to dance. At that moment He was quiet He didn't say a mumbling word. There was no stirring in my spirit, there was no tugging at my heart, I didn't even have tears, Jesus was quiet and so was I. Then all of sudden a flood of memories began and I remembered that I encouraged every one but Shon, I didn't take time out to grieve, be happy, just live. I danced for a minute all the time I still had my foot on the gas my hands on the wheel and I was still driving down that road, going somewhere but nowhere fast. I was asked the other day, have you ever been happy that GOD DIDN'T answer a prayer. The answer was yes and still is. Then I remembered, my friends wedding dance to, " You Can Let Go Now Daddy" Immediately, I thought God I don't want you to let go, and immediately I got you are listening to the song wrong, check your memory and see that you can let go SHON, I am in control. I know you have never flown but the flight attendants tell everyone, in the case of a crash or turbulence put your own air mask on first then worry about saving someone else. It was a truly liberating moment to know that if I needed to cry, I could cry, If I wanted to laugh hysterically, I could do that too. Shoot if I didn't want to do nothing at all, I could do that too. That JESUS has been JESUS since before the world was spoken into existence and surely He doesn't need my help to be THE I AM THAT HE IS. So, with a smile on my face, and feeling lighter, I realized that I had released that choke hold on the steering wheel. Yes, I have said Jesus here I can't do this, and unlike the lady in the song, I have been talking to you daily and you have been talking to me, but still even though you wrote on my wall, let me see visions, I wouldn't trust you enough to let it all go.

If there is someone out there like me and Carrie, going fast, but with no control I want to tell you it's okay, just move your hands off the wheel and let Jesus take it. The finances that are out of sorts, the family that is broken, the job that feels like you have clocked in to hell, the church where they are preaching feel good messages. ALL OF IT, not some of it all of it whatever it is, give it to HIM. Let God be God and you be you. I am going to share some of the lyrics from the song with you. But I also want to share this with you.

"If you'll hold on to me for dear life," says God, "I'll get you out of any trouble. I'll give you the best care if you'll only get to know and trust me. Call me and I'll answer, be at your side in bad times; I'll rescue you, then throw you a party. I'll give you long life, give you a log drink of salvation!" Psalm 91: 14-16 The Message Bible (how great is that)

It'd been a long hard year
She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attention
she was going way too fast
Before she knew it she was spinning on a thin black sheet of glass
She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didn't even have time to cry
She was so scared
She threw her hands up in the air

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel

Finally I leave you with this:
This is God's Word on the subject: "As soon as Babylon's seventy years are up and not a day before, I'll show up and take care of you as promised and bring you back home. I know what I am doing, I have it all planned out-plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. "When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I'll listen. Jer. 29:10-12

Look at God all along He has been saying to me and everyone that's going through even the ones that are going through because of choices they made. I got this if you will let ME just BE who I AM. I pray this helps someone and if not it helped me to get it out.

Blessed to Be A Blessing,
I didn't realize it had been this long since I checked in. I must share with you, that the storm has been raging, the winds are blowing hard but my soul remains anchored. While I was gone, I learned that with all the craziness going on in my life because of my faith, my trust, I made the president's list at school. I was faced with a lot of different things that I wanted to blog about over the last almost month. Thought one, why is that people feel like they have down play your problem so that theirs can be bigger, really who wants problems? If I had my way life would always be easy. I had a situation where someone constantly told me of their anointing, well people with an anointing don't have to announce you keep saying who are you trying to convince me, you are the holy spirit? Then this, your anointing doesn't exempt you from issues see King David, I got one better look in your local church, it's filled with anointed to people with issues. Then came this thought, why do people confide so much on social media stuff they need to confide to God? Lastly, why has social media driven grown folk back to child like mentalities. You quit talking to people you can see and touch to develop relationships with people you may never meet. Can you do that with Jesus? Stop telling people you love them but. Please don't bring it to me. I am comfortable with me, so if we never speak again you owe me no explanation, but when you decide to stop calling, emailing and coming around do what you do well and mean it. Don't fake it with me. I really want your truth rather I like it or not, because of who God called me to be I am going to give you mine. Until next time you all be blessed, and remember that I'll be back until then know this God has a word for you even when I don't thank you all for your following and support.
Blessings,
It confirms that everything in our lives is employed. However, I pray that those of us who are called, chosen, to help those who are now going through are willing to be transparent. It does you know good for me to say to you well I know what you are going through, I have been through so much myself, when you are dealing with the loss of child and the only thing I lost was some money, you see it doesn't compare, now while I can hear you out and pray with you. Our pains and losses are not equal. On the same token, we should never say to someone if you went through what I went through, because often they are sharing with you their right now, and who are we too minimize it. When you do this don't be surprised when this person doesn't seek you again. Sometimes your lessons were to teach you to listen, we can't always speak.
so weak and weary you thought you couldn't go another step. But now, from where
you stand, you can say, "I never want to go through that again but God brought
me out. He has been faithful. Praise the Lord!"

God is not satisfied with a heartfelt "thank you" from us. Rather, He says,
"Wait just a moment, My child. I did not bring you through all those troubles
and afflictions just to make you a grateful overcomer. I've spent years
training you, putting you through all these things for a purpose, and I'm not
going to let you waste them now. I fully intend for my investment to pay off. I
tell you, your best work is ahead of you!"

Now, as you emerge from your college-level afflictions, God opens your eyes to
your struggling friends in kindergarten. These beloved ones don't think they
can make it, so what do you do with your affliction experiences? God whispers
to you, "I need seasoned, tested veterans, people who have survived deep waters
and awful fires, who have been refined through suffering. I want people who will
prove My faithfulness to this generation!" The psalmist writes: "That ye may
tell it to the generation following" (Psalm 48:13). "Now also when I am old and
greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this
generation, and thy power to everyone that is to come" (71:18).

Paul sums it all up beautifully: "But I would ye should understand, brethren,
that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the
furtherance of the gospel" (Philippians 1:12). That is saying something! When
Paul wrote this, he was an older man with years of experience and he was in the
midst of one of the worst trials of his life. He spoke to his friends from his
heart:

"It would be the most wonderful thing right now if I could go home and be with
my Lord. That is my greatest desire. But I'm a veteran; I've been through
afflictions and trials and I know I'm needed here. This generation needs to see
a sufferer who survives and rejoices in any affliction. My son Timothy is going
to face all that I've faced, and he needs to know that God will bring him
through. So, it is best that I stay and endure these deep afflictions. Look at
me! Not only have I survived, but I have true hope. I'm not down or depressed.
I rejoice in the Lord for all He has brought me through!"

What Does Your Witness Say

I sat there watching her, I am certain she didn't know she was being watched, but her amazing ability to take things in so fast captured my attention. WOW, was my thought as she seemed able to hold a conversation with everyone that walked through her line. Now this started out as a class assignment but quickly God was turning it into a lesson for me. What does your witness say when you aren't aware that people are watching? Oh yeah we all have the occasional bad day, but what does it say most days? I watched her as she took pride in a job that most would complain about. It's a job they would say, it helps with bills, but in my watching I was listening and more than once she said she loved her job, she liked meeting people and making them smile.

Amazing, in my mind I was thinking she would be perfect in ministry because even the people that didn't comply with the request on the front of her register never seemed to upset her. What was more amazing was the fact that she knew her customers well. I decided to get up get something after all I go down almost everyday. I get in line and today, I had something different. Right away she says, you aren't feeling well, I reply no, how do you know, do I look that bad, she said "No", when you feel bad you get a sprite. When your head hurts you get a coke and when you are in a good mood you get tea and sometimes you get food with it. I laughed she laughed.

Just as I wanted to tell her that I had been watching her and that God was going to use her someone came up. I started away from the register but I noticed the person didn't open their box, but she knew exactly what they had, she looked over while we were speaking, but who would have thought she saw that. The that was what they had been served more than 5 feet away. Grits, eggs, bacon and a biscuit, yes the customer says, with a smile. The customer then tells her that yesterday, she'd tried something different and was not pleased, but didn't come and complain because she liked her so much. She was polite and said thank you. Never being rude, not agreeing with the customer, keeping it friendly and approachable, and never bad mouthing her employer.

I learned a lesson from that young lady, that we as Christians have a lot to learn, we ask God for things and not all the time because we need them, but we give Him request for a lot of wants. We complain about our 9-5 that many would love to have. But she was genuinely happy about her job serving people. Her smile was genuine, she engaged each person that came to her register, she knew her surroundings. I was thinking God with her gift, and demeanor she would be awesome in ministry. Her witness says she loves to serve. She could be a great leader because she is a great server. She is not proud, but humble. She doesn't complain and enjoys the simple things in life. She pays attention to people, it's not just let me get them out of here so I can resume my personal conversation with my co-worker. She engages them treats each customer as if they were the most important person in the world and she is learning, I watch her eyes as they tell her things that she is taking in, making mental notes.

Then, it hit me, that not only had I been watching her, she watches me. Though we never talked about it she knew what made me feel better on what days, she knew my pattern and habits. So it made me say Lord please allow me to check my witness, because people are watching us more than they are listening to us. Not just in public, but on social media, in every area, of our lives someone is watching us, what we say, what we write, what we like on FB, what we tweet. I was amazed that just when we think it's just us and no one is looking they are. So if you are going to profess to be a Christian carry yourself like one at all times. People are watching, they are listening, they are reading. All of it is a part of your witness and what does your witness say about you?

Don't stress about the situation that's building your spiritual muscles, you just keep pressing because God is spotting you. -Shon Garner Cole

In this time ppl who have been trusted with an anointing need to be mindful of a few things your anointing is not going to be accepted by everyone because it's not for everyone. Your relationship w/ the Father is unique because you're unique and it's personal mine and yours won't be the same. That doesn't say one is right and one is wrong. Just like you paid a price to have yours, they paid a price to have theirs. We have to stay mindful of that. What we as Christians lack is the loyalty that street folk lack and as quiet as it's kept we still possess a crab in the barrel mentality. People who are hurt in church shun it, but we can't hold all churches all pastors to the one we were hurt in or by. So let's always, always seek discernment in wisdom in handling Gods ppl. I know that my daddy was my first love. I also as small as I was remember the letters he wrote and the tapes he sent when he was off fighting in the war. Daddy's Home by the Delfonics, I smile now because that's when music had real meaning. I used to make my mama play it all the time.

I am sadden now though, not because my daddy is gone, but for all the homes where the father is absent by choice. For all the little girls and boys who will have dysfunctional relationships as a result of fathers who can't separate the relationship with the kids, from the relationship with the moms. I am angered that at some point these two people looked passed all the issues long enough to lay down and produce these children as if they asked to be here. Mothers who use the children as pawns in your game stop it's emotional abuse. God is frowning on it. Daddy remember how you treat your little girl is how she expects others to treat her. If you give her left over time and affection she gets in jacked up relationships expecting and accepting the same.

So now I petition my Daddy in heaven and I say Father Can You hear me? A divine intervention is needed right away. To save our children our future, to stop this cycle of abandonment, and bad relationships. Girls going from man to man or in this day to woman, looking for the love and attention that she should have been given by her own daddy. For the young boy or man who is so determined not to be his own father, that he turns into him times 5. Even he searches for his dad's love and acceptance in his relationships giving us a an entirely new man, the absentee father, the gangster boo, the down low man and the low down man. All because Daddy was not home, or if he was there he was merely existing. So my hat is off to all the father's who stayed, to all the father's who stepped in and took the place of the absent one.

I beseech you to recognize that whether or not your dad was there or not, know that you have a Father who will never leave you nor forsake you, one who can say this when you finally accept Him for who He is:

You're my love you're my angel
You're the girl of my dreams
I'd like to thank you for waiting patiently
Daddy's home your daddy's home to stay
How I've waited for this moment
To be by your side
Your best friend wrote and told me
You had teardrops in your eyes
Daddy's home your daddy's home to stay

Now don't get it twisted guys those are the words of the Delfonics, but imagine God saying that to you, you are my son my child with whom I am well pleased. The good thing is with this Father nobody has to tell Him when you are sad, or have tears in your eyes, you see He knows all about you. He knows what's in it you and where you are headed if you just let Him lead.

I ask each of you who have not yet embraced the most important Father/son, Father/daughter relationship to say these words with me, and if you know the song, then tell Tamela Mannm you have it from here:

Father can you hear me
We need your love today
I know that you are listening
you hear men everyday
Father please hear us
and we will be ok
father we need you to heal families today

Father can you hear me
I'm calling on your name
Not budda nor muhammed
but it's jesus we cry out loud
Father just forgive us
Hear us when we say
We'll give ya, give ya, give you everything our lifes and souls today

Father you know we need it
I've never seen so much pain
We have the faith for now
Your victory we will gain
father you know we mean it
there's no more heart of stone
were ready for your power
now the sin is gone

My prayer is this, Daddy I know you can hear me, I am not questioning that, so today I declare and decree that generational curses are broken, that the ones you have chosen to break them take the mantle and run on even when it gets hard. I decree and declare that dysfunction is replaced with calm and love, that families are restored and healing has taken place. I pray that men take their rightful place as heads of homes, and mothers bow out gracefully and let them be men. That men encourage their sons, and validate their daughters. I thank you in advance that in this season that earthly fathers lead their children to you our heavenly Father and we can hear you say you are my child in whom I am well pleased.
The problem many of us have is we are the ones trying to build our own platforms, giving ourselves, gifts, titles and talents that He didn't. Well I know to whom much is given much is required and I am not trying to take anything He didn't give me nor am I going to say anything He didn't tell me to say. This word is a few days old, and God has been dealing with me on it. However, I was so overwhelmed with a decision I was trusting Him for an answer for I couldn't write on it effectively. Now that, I am peace with my decision, I can share this word. What God wanted me to let you know in addition to this word, is sometimes you need someone else and sometimes you don't. Even when that someone else comes through it's because God has placed them there. You are in need of paying your light bill and your cousin shows up with the money, God did it. You need something to eat and a friend invites you out to dinner on them, God did that too. However, we are about to embark up on a season, where those resources are shut off and the only thing you will be able to do is TRUST HIM. He wants to know that we will Trust Him even if doesn't send the boat in the flood. He wants to know that we will call on Him and trust that He has a plan even if the relationship ends, if you loose the house they repo the car. Will you still trust Him? Oh I know first hand what it is like to be overwhelmed. There was a point when I was feeling like God why, I serve you to the best of my ability, however, here I am trying to figure out what next, how do I keep doing this? His response was the same as below Trust me. When you are hungry I feed you, when you need comforting I comfort you. So whoever you are and whatever it is, know this if publisher's clearing house don't ring the bell God still has you. If the child acts up, God has them too, give them to Jesus and stop holding on to what you can't control. If the spouse walks out, God still has you and give them to Jesus. If the bank account is in the negative, God's grace is sufficient. I know because I tried Him and there have been a many nights in this last year that I cried more than I prayed, but God was right there catching every tear. So what do you do when you are overwhelmed Trust Him.

Note: I do this, because if you are like me when things like this are personal and not just someone we don't know, it's easier to say if God did it for Shon, He can do it for me. When God first told me to be transparent I was like God are you serious, why because I was raised with you don't air your dirty laundry. Well God has shown me this, that your story, your testimony is what He uses sometime to show people that He is real and He can. You all be blessed.
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU’RE OVERWHELMED?
by Gary Wilkerson

What do you do when you’re overwhelmed? What do you do when it seems the odds
are against you or you don’t have enough resources?

Do you go home at night and just continue being stressed, full of anxiety and
fear? If you want to get to the place where you see victory in your life, you
will have to fight for it — and in the fight God will supply the strength. He
will supply the resources that you need and you will come out of the fight as a
worshiper of Jesus Christ.

Three years ago my father, David Wilkerson, turned the leadership of World
Challenge over to me. Dad was still here to support and encourage me and if I
ever got in the midst of a battle that I wasn’t quite sure how to handle,
I’d call Dad. In April of 2011 he passed away in an auto accident and I find
myself without that particular resource in my life to help lead World
Challenge. Sometimes when challenging things happen, I feel a little bit of
fear come in. What if I don’t have what it takes? What if I don’t handle
this situation well?

One day as I was thinking these things, the Holy Spirit came over me and
confidence dropped into my heart. I realized that if God was leading me, if He
was saying, “This is the way you should go,” then all I had to do was trust
Him. I don’t have to look at the black line or the red line and see where the
finances are; I have to look to heaven and see what He says for me to do. And
that is what we are doing. We are going to go harder than ever before; we are
going to reach more people than ever before; we are going to touch more
children’s lives than ever before — all because we are not going to let the
enemy cause fear to come into our lives.

Some of you are in a battle right now. It might not be financial. It could be
relational — even problems with your own children. Whatever the battle is, I
have a good word for you — don’t give up in the battle! Don’t give up
interceding! Don’t let limited resources cause you to think that somehow God
is limited in power.

Don’t give up!
It's so amazing how I drifted off to sleep awaiting an answer He would use an email to give me comfort. I know nobody wants to admit that they are broken, nobody wants to save hey I am saved but I am struggling. Well, I stand before you to tell you that having an anointing cost. Having a gift can be a burden, why because to whom much is given much is required. I know from personal experience that God's children are in a spiritual battle at this time. I don't know about you all but I like to keep it real before God. So I cry and I tell Him, you know what I am mad about it, I don't understand it, I need you to help me forgive, I need you to show me how to let it all go. You might be thinking well that's nerve, no it's real and God knows that I feel it all anyway. He doesn't take His hands off me, instead He touches me and gives me the comfort I stand in need of.

David is one of my favorites of the BIBLE because he too, knew that God wanted real and meek. Even in his sins David would wallow before God, humble seeking God and every time God showed up. Seeking God requires humility and transparency. So today whatever it is that you may be struggling with, ask God for His help. He may not answer us the way we want, He may close a door that you wanted open, He may let a relationship fall apart that you were standing for, He may say no to a job that you wanted and really needed, but guess what He has a ram in the bush. Your children may still seem to go there own way but remember if you trained them up then the word says they'll come back to what they know. Someone I love dearly said to me last night, your blessings won't always be delivered directly to your door, so accept them how He gets them to you. Well that gave me such a peace. A peace I needed when I felt like I was loosing all control, only to remember my life is in His hands and He has control even when I am feeling like a tumbleweed.

May 30
Psalm 69:3
I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

There comes a point where there are not more tears to cry. The sadness remains, but the waters dry up. It is in this calm after the storm that we can make sense of things. David cried unto the Lord often. He needed to vent the emotions and pressures that built up inside him. Being the king of a headstrong people was not easy. David experienced periods of intense joy, but also of excruciating heartache. He learned the value of a purging cry. In moments of desperation, David let down all his defenses to stand exposed before God. In those times, God was sure to come to him and offer David all the comfort he needed. In our times of desperation, the Lord will give us comfort, too.

Prayer: When there are not more tears to cry, Lord, fill me with Your peace and consolation, Father. Amen.

On yesterday, I was talking to my brother and we were talking about this song "I Hope You Dance." We talked about how Tyler Perry developed an entire movie around the song. Well tonight, I tuned into an on line bible study and what does the pastor preach on dancing. She walks us through Psalm 51 and tells us how sometimes we stop dancing because we can't hear the music anymore. Well David who loved to dance who danced out of his clothes asked God in verse 8 to let him hear again. This makes me think that we look at our situations and we stop dancing not because the music stopped playing but in our brokenness we stopped hearing. Lord, I pray that everyone reading this word, knows this that God is still on the dance floor called life. You may have walked off or changed partners, but go back the partner you left the one that matters is still on the floor. Dancing is a form of worship and I am so glad I love to dance. Dancing has gotten me in trouble, but now I dance for God, so it doesn't matter if I am still on the floor when the sun comes up. Glory.

You may say what can be biblical about I HOPE YOU DANCE, well in the word God says I will turn your mourning into dancing. He intended for us to dance. So what you lost the job, dance, so what they walked out of your life dance, so what they talked about you dance. You drive a hoopty and not Mercedes dance, you live in a shack and not a mansion dance. This door closed another one will open so dance.

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty-handed

I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance

I hope you dance
I hope you dance

That's right it may look bleak right now, but if you hold on to the faith, then you my friend should be dancing. I surely hope you dance.
