<p>More and more people are getting to know the benefits of having healthy “gut bacteria”, and the <strong>factors that cause imbalance</strong> include but not limited to: processed/refined foods, high sugar diet, antibiotics, beef and dairy from “conventionally” raised cattle, birth control pills, anti-cholesterol meds, antidepressants and blood thinning drugs. Health coach Ann Musico also talked about how our emotional state, especially stress, can influence our probiotics.</p>

<p>Most of us find the process of losing weight to be frustrating, partly because we can get too serious and try to do everything &#8220;perfect&#8221;. Don’t take the fun out of living, especially when we talk about HEALTHY LIVING! Besides, laughter is the best medicine!</p>
<p>During this interview, Judy spoke honestly about her own setbacks, including her innovative ways to “cheat” on her diet. She also tried lots of different exercises and eating plans &#8211; “from the wise to the wacky”&#8230;.</p>

Most of us find the process of losing weight to be frustrating, partly because we can get too serious and try to do everything "perfect". Don’t take the fun out of living, especially when we talk about HEALTHY LIVING! Besides, laughter is the best medicine!

During this interview, Judy spoke honestly about her own setbacks, including her innovative ways to “cheat” on her diet. She also tried lots of different exercises and eating plans - “from the wise to the wacky”....

More importantly, in the most humorous way, Judy raised some serious points about what she called “the fitness-industrial complex.” As much as we thrive for a nicely toned body, be aware of how our “thin-obsessed culture” creates the delusive expectations that feed millions to callous companies.

<p>Our guest for this episode, David Hamilton, not only has a professional background is in sports medicine, a Master degree in exercise physiology and a certification as an intuitive eating counselor, he also struggled through “overeating” himself. The desire to heal himself and the passion to help others inspired David to found his company: <a title="Overeating Solutions" href="http://www.overeatingsolutions.com/" target="_blank">Overeating Solutions. </a></p>
<p>David believes nutrition and exercise are essential, but the mind that uses these tools needs to be examined first! In this episode, David shared his “holistic approach” of solving overeating, especially the two foundational principles (and willpower is not one of them!):<br />

<p style="text-align: justify;">This week we interviewed the founder of <a title="fighting anorexia" href="http://fightinganorexia.com/" target="_blank">Fighting Anorexia</a>, Anne-Sophie Reinhardt from Switzerland. With passion and compassion, she spoke to us:</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1. How her anorexia started at a young age of ten and how SOCIAL PRESSURE, FAMILY STRESS and PERFECTIONISM affected the onset.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2. Every parent, especially mom with daughters, should be a positive role model and avoid certain comments and activities.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3. The recovering process &#8211; <strong>GETTING TO KNOW HERSELF FOR THE FIRST TIME</strong>! Because her self-worth was tied to a distorted image for so many years.
