Software development is a lot like completing the Boston Marathon only to be yanked over to the train tracks and asked to fix the rail and getting it fixed just in time for the train to run you over then it jumps the tracks anyway and you have to get it back on the tracks before the next train to run you over hits the first train.

This week, when I have the urge to social media, I’m instead forcing myself to open Seterra and quiz myself on world geography, practice a language, or practice Morse code. So far I’ve learned that if I ever leave the United States I’ll be pretty lost and I’m more likely to succeed ordering a taco in cw than Spanish.

The outpouring of love and offers of assistance during Evan’s plight touches our hearts. The doctors are pleased with Evan’s progress but are having him stay another 24-48 hours. Evan is quite done with it all and would like to go home today.

A good friend has been counseling me on accepting offers of help. He has encouraged me to publish my Buy Me a Coffee link.

Our physical needs are met. I joked about needing a massage and someone has arranged that! Cathy wants our sidewalk finished so grab your shovels!

Evan and I were supposed to be taking this past week and next week to make repairs on his car for his return trip. A beloved friend has offered to get the car to a mechanic to make it roadworthy and assist with some of the cost of repairs.
