One of the reasons to watch the new show Miami Social is to catch up on old reality TV contestants. Hardy Hill was previously on Big Brother with Dr. Will and Boogie and had his toothbrush stuck in a toilet, and Katrina Campins from The Apprentice who had to battle it out with Omarosa. I found out what they’re both up to in a conference call with them, but it’ll still be interesting to watch the show tonight and see for myself.

I wonder if this series was just a one time thing or if they’ll find another serial killer to follow for a second season, proving to perhaps be the bigger mystery. 7. Harper’s Island. In the first hour, John Wakefield continues to murder the guests on the island as the survivors seek him out, hoping to kill him before they’re all gone. The second hour features the conclusion in the season ender, as the mystery is solved. 8:00 PM CT NBC

8. America’s Most Wanted. Featured is the cold case of a 1988 kidnap-murder of an 8-year-old girl that started to get warmer in 2004 when authorities believed that the notes that began turning up were from her killer. 8:00 PM CT Fox

11. Pineapple Express. I don’t think I’ve seen Seth Rogen in a movie that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy, and this one is no different. James Franco stars, making it a great buddy movie. 8:00 PM CT Starz

12. Eli Stone. In this series finale, Eli and Keith help a woman who is in need of a heart transplant, but religious views have her clashing with the donor’s family. Eli has visions of a plane crash, causing concern for his loved ones, and Taylor and Matt get closer to having a future together. 9:00 PM CT ABC

I don’t know if I’m smarter than Larry the Cable Guy. I think to pull off that character, that he actually is really smart. You can see glimpses of it in the humor. It’ll be interesting then to see how he does tonight and how often he needs help from the 5th graders. Or will he chuck his own personal knowledge and just stay in character?

5. Surviving Suburbia. Another series finishing out what’s in the can after its cancellation. After Anne gets a job, Steve takes over her chores and is surprised to learn how much she really does. Jenna is accused by Henry of stealing. 7:00 PM CT ABC

6. Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?. It’s the first of several celebrity editions, up tonight is Larry the Cable Guy, playing for the Arnold Palmer Center Foundation. 7:00 PM CT Fox

7. The Goode Family. Gerald confronts a local celebrity chef after he’s tricked into eating what was supposed to be meatless chili but really had chicken in it, and Che goes missing. 7:30 PM CT ABC

8. Dateline NBC. Apparently this is the rest of the story that we didn’t get to see in the movie The Departed. 8:00 PM CT NBC

9. Mental. A patient comes back with his OCD and Tourette’s syndrome getting worse and his wife encourages him to have unproven brain surgery, leadng the doctors to suspect she has her own issues. Jack falls for a neurosurgeon. 8:00 PM CT Fox

10. Eureka. Carter interviews for job with the Dept. of Homeland Security after he is terminated as sheriff. This leads Deputy Lupo to resign when she finds out the new sheriff is a personable robot. 8:00 PM CT Syfy

We have a few new series starting tonight, among them Great American Road Trip. I’ve been waiting for that one. It sounds somewhat like the family edition of The Amazing Race, not that anyone would want to emulate that. In others’ eyes at least. I liked it, but know several fans didn’t think the season measured up. And who isn’t always ready for a good road trip? I call shotgun. I’m a better navigator than driver.
