It's the guys' night to take the stage on American Idol, as the Top 8 are hoping to secure a spot in the Idol Top Twelve. Whose performance was tagged as "American Idol-The Musical" and who brought Kara Dioguardi to tears? Performances and judges reactions after the jump:

Lee Dewyze sings "Fireflies" (Owl City)
Judges comments:
Randy--"strange song choice, but you made it your own"
Ellen--great
Kara--"You looked confident, there's a star bubbling there and you made the song better"
Simon--"Nothing to rave about" ---But still feels Lee has a great chance at a spot in the Top 12

Alex Lambert sings "Trouble" (Ray LaMontagne)
Judges comments:
Randy--"great song choice, wasn't wowed, but I liked it"
Ellen--You're turning into a mushy banana...consistently getting better." Loves his innocence and warns him not to become a cocky banana.
Kara--Tells him the only thing standing in his way of winning is him. Wants to see more vulnerability and for him to let go.
Simon--Concentrating on performance too much; needs to relax; suggests "imagine Randy in a bikini"

Tim Urban sings "Hallelujah” (Jeff Buckley)
Judges:
Randy--"walked in big shoes with that song, pretty good job"
Ellen--Runs on the stage and hugs him, says it was "Fantastic"--tells him she's been really hard on him the last few times.
Kara--"honest interpretation"
Simon says he is responsible for Tim doing well tonight, he gave him a confidence boost. On a serious note, he says 'smart choice, terrific, strongest performance from him so far"

Andrew Garcia sings "Genie in a Bottle" (Christina Aguilera)
Judges:
Randy--"interesting song choice, but it didn't work for me----no range, didn't go anywhere"
Ellen--great song choice, loved the end, but the "genie came out of the bottle too late"
Kara--Says he peaked too early and is still chasing that "Straight Up" moment.
Simon--Agrees with Kara; says the performance seemed "a little bit desperate" and feels he is "going backwards"

Casey James sings "You'll Think of Me" (Keith Urban)
Judges:
Randy---safe choice
Ellen--Great; really liked it.
Kara--says she's "Kinda back on the Casey train, but he's missing that spark"
Simon--says it's Casey's second best performance and it came across "sincere"

Aaron Kelly sings "I'm Already There" (Lonestar)
Judges:
Randy--Really good, wants him to work on the lower notes
Ellen--says "Love you" but thought it was a tough song for him; "Not Terrific"
Kara-- says "Love you" but thought the song wasn't relevant to his life
Simon says to Kara's comments --"Complete and utter rubbish" and feels it was the right type of song for Aaron and had emotion.

Todrick Hall sings "Somebody To Love" (Queen)
Judges:
Randy says "Todrick is back"
Ellen--brave choice
Kara---The singing was good but there were parts where she says she didnt' know whether to love or laugh.
Simon says it was good in parts, but says that showed them Todrick is more of a Broadway singer than a recording artist, called it "American Idol the Musical" (doing Queen)---however, he also says that he sang it well and it could have saved him. (Oh gosh, I hope not....I'm just not feeling the Hall dude at all)

Randy --"Really!?! Gotta give it to you! That was Dope! Unbelievable! Crazy! And that last note---WHAT!?!?!"
Ellen--"OMG---So Beautiful. YOU are the one to beat now.
Kara (in tears)---"I've never cried before.....You were amazing. Amazing."
Simon--"This was so needed tonight. You come out with a very difficult song and 100% nailed it. Best performance of all the live shows so far."

Brad Womack updates viewers on what he's doing since he chose neither of the women during his season and will be reunited with Deanna Pappas. Also, the latest updates from Bachelor's Byron Velvick and Mary Delgado, Bob Guiney and the latest Bachelor couple, Jake and Vienna.

Th "20/20" special will air Monday, March 15 at 8:00pm/EST on ABC.

DWTS Jake Pavelka Dishes on Dancing

Bachelor Jake, turned engaged dancing pilot, blogged about his new reality show stint, 'Dancing With the Stars'. He says his dance experience is very little, he finds the mirrors in the rehearsal studio intimidating and his feet hurt from all the rehearsing. Despite the pain, Jake sounds like he's looking forward to the competition and is having a blast.

Jake is partnered with DWTS pro, Chelsie Hightower, who was also a "So You Think You Can Dance" favorite. Their first dance this season will be the Viennese Waltz to Seal's Kissed by a Rose.

Dancing With the Stars premieres March 22 on ABC.

American Idol Top 8 Girl Performances Recap 3/9

Eight girls are vying to be in the Top 12 of American Idol tonight--the episode begins with Ellen Degeneres perched on Simon Cowell's lap, nuzzling his ear; could be an interesting night. Song choices and judges reactions after the jump:

Katie Stevens sings "Break Away" (Kelly Clarkson)
Judges comments:
Randy--"paled in comparision to Kelly Clarkson....wasn't great"
Ellen--right song choice but didn't feel the connection to the words she was singing
Kara--great radio voice, but "doesn't know who you are yet"
Simon--haven't worked out the kind of artist you want to be; kinda sucked the energy out of the song but 10 out of 10 for trying and taking their advice

Siobhan Magnus sings "House of the Rising Sun"--(The Animals)
Judges comments:
Randy--loves what she does, loves that she doesn't listen to them and their advice because it works for her (doing her own thing)
Ellen--"You are why I love music" --spectacular
Kara--loved it, brilliant
Simon--"all a bit weird, boring dark" --underimpressed

Lacey Brown sings "The Story" (Brandi Carlisle)
Judges comments:
Randy--boring but her best performance in awhile
Ellen--best performance to date
Kara--brilliant choice, effortless
Simon--didn't love the song, but says she sang it very well

Randy--likes her hair, didn't feel a connection with the song
Ellen--doesn't feel it was the right song; wasn't enough
Kara--didn't feel she was competing; wonder what happened to her
Simon--likes her hair, nothing special with the performance, others look like they are trying harder

Didi Benami sings "Rhiannon" (Fleetwood Mac)
Judges:
Randy--better than last week, but no wow moment for him
Ellen--lovely; liked what she did with it
Kara--one of her favorite moments of the season
Simon--agrees with Kara--proved she's an artist--the entire performance was a 'wow moment'

Paige Miles sings "Smile" (Charlie Chaplin)
Judges:
Randy--didnt' work; song too big for her
Ellen--the song is supposed to be inspiring/uplifting--it came across sad and heavy
Kara--"all wrong"
Simon--horrible choice of song; awful arrangement but she has a great voice; could be the end of the road for her though

Crystal Bowersox sings "Give Me One Reason" (Tracy Chapman)
Judges:
Randy--"loved it, love you, hot"
Ellen--"best of the night"
Kara--she knows what kind of artist she is
Simon--"one million, billion percent going to be in the Top 12---you're the one to beat---it's your's to lose"

Lilly Scott sings "I Fall to Pieces" (Patsy Cline)
Judges:
Randy--"hot, in the zone"
Ellen--loves her voice, style, originality
Kara--"you made Patsy Cline feel current"
Simon--"brave for choosing that song, no wow factor --it was cute, quirky, like you, but could've been risky" (choice)

The Biggest Loser Live Recap 3/9

The Biggest Loser begins tonight with O'Neal sitting alone waiting for the blue team to come back from the elimination room. As the players start coming in one by one, he starts to cry, worried that his daughter, Sunshine, has been voted out. She comes through the door and is overwhelmed with emotion--thankful that she's still on the ranch and they are on the same team. Sunshine says she's here to stay for awhile. (hope that's not a bad foreshadowing of tonight's elimination results) Recap continues after the jump:

Highlights from tonight's episode (March 9, 2010) of The Biggest Loser: (refresh for the latest live updates)

Work Week---The teams arrive for their challenge--Allison first tells the contestants that they will be working a full time job this week, along with working out and eating right. They will need to bring their own food to work and go to the gym when they can fit it in---this is to prepare them for the 'real world'. They will be working with other volunteers from "Feed America".

Challenge: Teams have to pull semi-trucks down a runway and load puzzle pieces along the way. After collecting the puzzle pieces, they need to solve the puzzle. Five members are to pull the truck, while one member walks along side and grabs the puzzle pieces. First team to finish wins groceries for one year.

Black Team: Sherry is the puzzle piece collector.
Blue Team: O'Neal is the puzzle piece collector.

Blue takes off with a huge lead, but Blue team member, O'Neal is having a hard time keeping up with his team as he collects the puzzle pieces. The black team starts to close in on the blue team for a bit, until he hears the blue team members cheering him on, which ignites a fire in him and he takes off ahead of his blue team towards the next set of puzzle pieces.

Meanwhile, the black team are determined to continue forward and hope to catch up during the puzzle round.

Challenge Winner: The blue team starts unloading their puzzle pieces, while the black team continues to pull their truck and collect the last few puzzle pieces. The blue team complete their puzzle first. (Puzzle was "Groceries for a Year")

Workout Time: The contestants tell Bob and Jillian that this is 'work week' for them. The trainers take them straight to the gym to get a head start on working out before they start working their jobs. Sam cheers on the black team with a big pep talk about not losing/believing in themselves--Jillian refers to the black and blue teams as David vs. Goliath.

The teams start the day with a morning workout before going to the LA Regional Foodbank. Evening workouts are the topper for ending the day. Sherry says, "If I was at home, I'd have gone straight to that couch and just sat there for the rest of the evening....it felt really good to be going to the gym."

Cheryl and Sherry bond: The 51 year old women talk about how they need each other and how much they appreciate their friendship. Neither wants the other to go home and they encourage each other to push to the finish line --they refer back to Liz from last season and talk about how much they have grown while being on the biggest loser ranch. Sherry says she's not afraid to dream now, while Cheryl says, 'we need to keep pushing like we're going to be here forever.'

Sunshine and O'Neal talk: O'Neal tells us about being in the Army and jumping out of planes. He says he was very strict on his sons but not his daughter, Sunshine. Sunshine reveals to us that she's never had a boyfriend or a date and at times has felt no one loved her or wanted her. Her Dad says this is his time to give her what he feels he didn't give her growing up. They talk about the upcoming weigh in---this will be the first time he hasn't had immunity since he's been on the ranch and is a little worried. He says he will do anything for his daughter --he wants to put her on his shoulders and lift her up---"lift her up to stay here".

For their first task they must run a New York City diner. The team who brings in the most money at the diner, including tips, wins. It isn’t long before the celebrities’ egos clash as they compete to see who will be the first celebrity to be fired by Trump in the boardroom. Sneak peek video below:

Tonight on The Biggest Loser, blue and black face off again--this time, the contestants will be participating in a truck pulling challenge---once they've pulled the truck to the designated arrival place, the teams must put together a puzzle with crates they had to load on the truck along the way. It was announced this morning that former DWTS contestant and winner, Brooke Burke, will be replacing Samantha Harris as Tom Bergeron's new co-host.

Brooke has also hosted TV Land's hit reality competition series "She's Got the Look, as well as "Rock Star: INXS" and "Rock Star: Supernova."

Season 10 of Dancing With the Stars premieres MONDAY, MARCH 22 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET). No one will be eliminated in the first week of competition.

Survivor 20 Recap and Tribal Council Results 3/4

Highlights from tonight's 3/4/2010 episode of Survivor:

Villians Camp Check-In: Post tribal council, Coach is feeling anything but "coachy" --he's hurt by Sandra's words at tribal and tells Tyson he is done; ready to go. Tyson tells him to hang in there and chill out a bit (stop wearing feathers to tribal, stop telling his stories, etc)

The next morning Boston Rob gives Coach a big pep talk and all is well again. (Is it just me but is Boston Rob extremely likeable this go around?)

Heroes Camp Check-In: Colby and Tom are wondering how to get in with the numbers/crack the alliance since they are the two members on the outside. The tribe receives tree mail; it's the sears wish list --they need to pick out three items to play for at the reward challenge.

Reward Challenge---Slip and Slide---retrieve a numbered ball that's hanging above their heads along the slide and then make a basket. First team to four wins reward.

Reward Challenge Winners: Villians

Reward: Three items from Sears to help them out at camp

Hidden Immunity Idols:
Villians--Russell feels 'something' in the knife case that the team just won at the reward challenge. Thinking it's a case, he lets it fall to the ground and it's a hidden immunity clue. Sandra says whoever finds that immunity is marked and will be voted out. The others agree, except of course, Russell. Not being able to resist his addiction for searching for hidden idols--he takes off. Rob sends Sandra after him---she sees him searching for it and tells the tribe. They all agree Russell needs to go home and has sealed his own fate for simply looking for the idol. (not found it ---at least not yet)

Heroes--the Heroes find their clue in the coffee the next morning. Everyone goes searching for it, but it's Tom who comes up with the find. Amanda sees him hide it and tells Candace and JT. Tom and Colby hope the idol will give them some leverage and hope to align with some others to stay in the game.

Immunity Challenge: Blindfolded Craziness or Roll With It---one person is inside a big ball giving instructions to two blindfolded tribe members running him down to a puzzle, where four more blindfolded members are waiting for instructions on getting a much smaller ball through the maze. (same challenge that Russell Swan went down and was removed from the game for medical reasons)

Villians: Boston Rob takes on the task of direction master
Heroes: Tom leads the tribe with his directions

Both do a good job of leading their team, staying calm and steady, but Boston Rob edges out ahead in the end and leads his team to a win.

Immunity Challenge Winners: Villians

Heroes Pre-Tribal Council Talk:

Cirie wants Tom or Colby out
Tom wants Candace out and he convinces Amanda, JT and James to vote for her instead of him or Colby
Amanda tells Cirie
Cirie pitches a fit and says that's the wrong move
Amanda goes back to saying she'll vote out Tom or Colby
Tom and Colby talk to JT and tell him if he will vote with them they can vote out Cirie (Tom will use his immunity idol, leaving the votes two for Colby and three for Cirie)

Tribal Council:
JT comes through for Tom and Colby and votes out Cirie.
(There were three votes for Tom--he used the Idol which cancelled those out

Didi Benami and Michelle are the last two standing on the back row---Ryan reads the reviews---Ryan asks Kara which girl is leaving; Kara says it's tough and that when she went back and watched Michelle's performance, it wasn't as good as she first thought and thinks she's the one in jeopardy.

The first girl eliminated tonight is Michelle Delamor. Didi Benami is safe. (Yay!)

Michelle says she thinks she was so wrapped up in trying to do everything while being judged that she lost sight of just performing and feels she was made to do this and plans to continue.

Front row stands:

Katelyn Epperly is safe
Crystal Bowersox is safe
Siobhan Magnus is safe
Haeley and Lacey Brown are asked to the center of the stage.
Simon says it's obvious who is going home.

The second girl to be eliminated is Haeley Vaughn. Lacey Brown is safe. (again, yay!)

Haeley says she knows she could use some more experience and is all smiles, no tears.

The four eliminated contestants on Idol tonight were Jon Park, Jermaine Sellers, Michelle Delamor and Haeley Vaughn.

The Real Housewives of New York City Are Back--Tonight!

Bachelor Couple Jake & Vienna on The Ellen Degeneres Show

New Bachelor couple, Jake and Vienna, dropped by Miss Ellen's today to talk about their journey. Ellen wants to know when Jake knew that Vienna was the one and he says while there isn't any one single moment, he felt a connection with Vienna in Napa Valley (while on the double date with Gia)---Ellen says, "you mean when she (Vienna) snuck down and got in bed with you!?!" They both laugh; Vienna says, 'no, before that'. Jake explains that they had a 45 minute conversation outside on the bench and he really admired what she had to say about love, as well as her values and spirituality.

Bachelor runner-up, Tenley stopped by The Ellen Degeneres Show all smiles saying she had a great connection and friendship with Jake and still has no idea what he was talking about when he claimed they didn't have a physical connection with her. More after the jump:

As for his connection with Vienna, Tenley feels it was just two completely different relationships and Jake had to choose the one he wanted to live with for the rest of his life. Tenley says, she wanted to build the emotional level between her and Jake first, but "as you saw, Jake wanted that physical level taken care of first", she says.

Celebrity Apprentice: Sharon Osbourne Doesn't Like to Fail

Celebrity Apprentice contestant, Sharon Osbourne, says she has no strategy nor any pre-conceived notions about the reality competition, but she does not like to fail. "I will do anything; whatever the task is, if it's cleaning toilets with toothbrushes, I don't care...." Sounds like she's in it, to win it. Clip after the jump:

American Idol Top Ten Girls Night Highlights/Recap

First up tonight for the Idol ladies is Crystal Bowersox. (Last night's performance wrap up is here) It wasn't known if Crystal would be able to perform tonight after dealing with a medical condition yesterday, (diabetes complications is the word on the web, which she confirmed on her facebook page and says she's doing well) but she's back and she's ready to roll, telling Ryan she's feeling good---"I'm a tough cookie", she says. Read on for tonight's live Idol highlights, song choices and judges reactions:

Crystal Bowersox---"Long As I Can See the Light" (Creedence Clearwater) Randy loves that she is not trying to be anyone else; he loves 'that girl'. Ellen says, 'pure, raw, natural talent' and she's so glad she's still in the competition. Kara says this song is who she is and Simon says he completely misunderestimated her last week.....saying, "this is like the moment with Kelly Clarkson that we have a serious artist here".

Haeley Vaughn---"The Climb" (Miley Cyrus) Randy asks her if she wants him to keep it real; she says yes, he describes it as excruciating. (yeah, it was) Ellen feels she didn't connect to the song or it's message, but tells her to keep smiling. Kara compares her to Alex Lambert and says people are rooting for her, but believes she needs another year to work on her voice. Simon agrees, doesn't want to make things any worse and tells her it was a complete and utter mess.

Lacey Brown "Kiss Me" (Sixpence None the Richer)Randy says it was a good song choice, but it wasn't working for Lacey and he doesn't feel she brought anything new to it. Ellen thought it was 'adorable'. Kara wanted to hear Lacey's tone and feels the song was good for her and feels it was a step in the right direction. Simon feels she's taking part in a competition rather than showcasing as an artist. He compares her to Crystal and says there is a massive difference and feels Lacey's performance is forgettable.

Katie Stevens-- "Put Your Records On" (Corinne Bailey Rae) Randy says there were a few bright moments in the performance but believes she can tackle some bigger songs. Ellen still feels she needs to appear/perform younger..she doesn't want to hear something she would hear in her dentist's office. Kara agrees with Ellen and says she is frustrated with Katie and is still waiting for her to have her moment. Simon says his issue is she isn't telling them what kind of recording artist she wants to be.

Didi Benami----"Lean on Me" (Bill Withers)--Randy is shaking his head---says he would not have chosen that song for her and it showed her imperfections, rather than her strengths. Ellen loves Didi's voice and feels she has a great energy and presence, but doesn't think it was a good song choice. Kara says "it wasn't good". Period. She goes on to elaborate but...saying she lost the uniqueness of her voice. Simon felt she was screeching and he's frustrated that she did something 'very generic', which brings tears to her eyes. (sheesh, Simon is just too Simon tonight and I didn't think it was all that bad; love her voice)

Michelle Delamor---"With Arms Wide Open" (Creed) Randy's not liking it and is now frustrated as well. Ellen says she looks fabulous and thought she changed the song up well...and it 'almost worked'. Kara says it's her favorite performance of Michelle's ever because it felt believable. Simon agrees somewhat with Kara--says the first half of the song was stronger than the second. Michelle's crying now, but they are tears of joy, she says.

Lilly Scott----"A Change is Gonna Come" (Sam Cook) First up, Randy--he loves that she's unique and says this is his favorite performance so far of the night. Ellen says she doesn't know what 'it' is, but Lilly has 'it'; agrees it's the best performance of the night. Kara says 'you just had your first moment'. And last but not least, Simon says he thought it was good, he's not crazy about it like the others and he feels Crystal was stronger than Lilly tonight.

Katelyn Epperly----"The Scientist" (Coldplay) Randy says he liked hearing her play the piano and liked it. Ellen says, "I liked you playing the guitar" What?!? She says it was so slow it made her want to fall asleep. Kara says, "I kind of love you" and says she has incredible instrument. Simon thinks it was a smart choice of song, made her contemporary and feels she may have put herself back in the race.

Paige Miles---"Walk Away" (Kelly Clarkson) Randy liked it but wasn't over the top about it. Ellen loved it; thought it was fantastic. Kara (who wrote the song) says if she knew the meaning behind the song, she wouldn't have been smiling throughout the performance; feels she didn't connect with it as there was alot of anger behind the words written, but she had some moments and she loved it. Simon agrees with Randy ---he feels she chose the wrong song.

Siobhan Magnus---"Think" (Aretha Franklin) The judges are excited---Randy --"It was dope! I loved it, dude." Ellen--"I loved it too, most people would say don't take on such a big song, but they also said don't mix sleeves with a blanket but look at the Snuggie, it's huge!" Kara --"I can't get over that note! How did you hit that note?!" (Siobhan says she practiced hitting the high notes in the shower singing Kelly Clarkson) Simon says, "You're such a strange person and I mean that as a compliment." Parts of the song were terrible but that note was incredible. He calls her 'interesting and very talented'. (yeah the gal rocked it out for sure)

Results show tomorrow at 8pm on Fox!

American Idol: Crystal Bowersox Update

American Idol's Executive Producer Ken Warwick talked to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show about the condition of sick contestant Crystal Bowersox, who was not able to perform last night forcing a 'switcheroo' ---the males performed last night and the girls will perform tonight. Video and more after the jump:

Warwick says he is hoping to hear about Crystal's condition--if she will be able to compete tonight in the live show--around mid day. At the time of this interview, she was still in the hospital.

If Bowersox is not able to compete tonight, Warwick tells Seacrest that only one girl would be eliminated tomorrow night during the results show and Bowersox would be disqualified. We will update this post as any news comes through on her status. Video below:

**Update**--Seacrest confirmed just a few minutes before the east coast live airing that Crystal would be performing tonight.

American Idol Lee Dewyze Performs "Lips of an Angel"

American Idol contestant, Lee Dewyze, is quickly turning into a fan favorite with two solid back to back performances in the semi-final rounds. This week he performed 'Lips of an Angel' by Kinder and received rave reviews from all four Idol judges, with Simon saying, Lee is head and shoulders above the rest. Video after the jump:

The Biggest Loser’s Sam Poueu and Stephanie Anderson--In Love

I didn't see that one coming but In Touch is reporting that there's a new Biggest Loser couple in the house. Season 9 contestant Stephanie Anderson says, “I never expected to find love while working on me, but Sam (Poueu) is like no one I’ve ever met. He brings out the best in me.”

The other Biggest Loser contestants teased them about their “dates” on the Presidential Mile, renaming part of it Cupcake Bridge. “When you pull away from the boys to spend time with your lady, it’s called ‘cupcaking,’” Sam tells In Touch.

It's reported the couple had their first kiss during week three of being on The Biggest Loser ranch and that Sam has plans to relocate to be closer to Stephanie after the finale.
